¹พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าไม่อาจจะพูดกับท่านเหมือนพูดกับผู้ที่อยู่ฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณแล้วได้ แต่ต้องพูดกับท่านเหมือนคนที่อยู่ฝ่ายเนื้อหนัง เหมือนกับท่านเป็นทารกในพระคริสต์

¹Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.

²ข้าพเจ้าเลี้ยงท่านด้วยน้ำนมมิใช่ด้วยอาหารแข็ง เพราะว่าเมื่อก่อนนั้นท่านยังไม่สามารถรับและถึงแม้เดี๋ยวนี้ท่านก็ยังไม่สามารถ

²I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren’t yet ready. Indeed, not even now are you ready,

³ด้วยว่าท่านยังอยู่ฝ่ายเนื้อหนัง เพราะว่าเมื่อท่านยังอิจฉากัน โต้เถียงกัน และแตกแยกกัน ท่านไม่ได้อยู่ฝ่ายเนื้อหนังหรือ และไม่ได้ประพฤติตามมนุษย์สามัญดอกหรือ

³for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?

⁴เพราะเมื่อคนหนึ่งกล่าวว่า "ข้าพเจ้าเป็นศิษย์ของเปาโล" และอีกคนหนึ่งกล่าวว่า "ข้าพเจ้าเป็นศิษย์ของอปอลโล" ท่านทั้งหลายมิได้อยู่ฝ่ายเนื้อหนังหรือ

⁴For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?

⁵เปาโลคือผู้ใด อปอลโลคือผู้ใด เขาเป็นผู้รับใช้มาแจ้งให้ท่านทั้งหลายเชื่อ ตามซึ่งองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ทรงโปรดประทานแก่ทุกคน

⁵Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed; and each as the Lord gave to him?

⁶ข้าพเจ้าได้ปลูก อปอลโลได้รดน้ำ แต่พระเจ้าทรงทำให้เติบโต

⁶I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.

⁷เพราะฉะนั้น คนที่ปลูกและคนที่รดน้ำไม่สำคัญอะไร แต่พระเจ้าผู้ทรงโปรดให้เติบโตนั้นต่างหากที่สำคัญ

⁷So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

⁸ดังนั้นคนที่ปลูกและคนที่รดน้ำก็เป็นพวกเดียวกัน แต่ทุกคนก็จะได้ค่าจ้างของตนตามการที่ตนได้กระทำไว้

⁸Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

⁹เพราะว่าเราทั้งหลายเป็นผู้ร่วมทำการด้วยกันกับพระเจ้า ท่านทั้งหลายเป็นไร่นาของพระเจ้า และเป็นตึกของพระเจ้า

⁹For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.

¹⁰โดยพระคุณของพระเจ้าซึ่งได้ทรงโปรดประทานแก่ข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าได้วางรากลงแล้วเหมือนนายช่างผู้ชำนาญ และอีกคนหนึ่งก็มาก่อขึ้น ขอทุกคนจงระวังให้ดีว่าเขาจะก่อขึ้นมาอย่างไร

¹⁰According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.

¹¹เพราะว่าผู้ใดจะวางรากอื่นอีกไม่ได้แล้ว นอกจากที่วางไว้แล้วคือพระเยซูคริสต์

¹¹For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.

¹²แล้วบนรากนั้นถ้าผู้ใดจะก่อขึ้นด้วยทองคำ เงิน เพชรพลอย ไม้ หญ้าแห้งหรือฟาง

¹²But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble;

¹³การงานของแต่ละคนก็จะได้ปรากฏให้เห็น เพราะเวลาวันนั้นจะให้เห็นได้ชัดเจน เพราะว่าจะเห็นชัดได้ด้วยไฟ ไฟนั้นจะพิสูจน์ให้เห็นการงานของแต่ละคนว่าเป็นอย่างไร

¹³each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is.

¹⁴ถ้าการงานของผู้ใดที่ก่อขึ้นทนอยู่ได้ ผู้นั้นก็จะได้ค่าตอบแทน

¹⁴If any man’s work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward.

¹⁵ถ้าการงานของผู้ใดถูกเผาไหม้ไป ผู้นั้นก็จะขาดค่าตอบแทนแต่ตัวเขาเองจะรอด แต่เหมือนดังรอดจากไฟ

¹⁵If any man’s work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.

¹⁶ท่านทั้งหลายไม่รู้หรือว่าท่านเป็นวิหารของพระเจ้า และพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าสถิตอยู่ในท่าน

¹⁶Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

¹⁷ถ้าผู้ใดทำลายวิหารของพระเจ้า พระเจ้าจะทรงทำลายผู้นั้น เพราะวิหารของพระเจ้าเป็นที่บริสุทธิ์และท่านทั้งหลายเป็นวิหารนั้น

¹⁷If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.

¹⁸อย่าให้ผู้ใดหลอกลวงตัวเอง ถ้าผู้ใดในพวกท่านคิดว่าตัวเป็นคนมีปัญญาตามหลักของยุคนี้ จงให้ผู้นั้นยอมเป็นคนโง่จึงจะเป็นคนมีปัญญาได้

¹⁸Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

¹⁹เพราะว่าปัญญาของโลกนี้เป็นความโง่เขลาจำเพาะพระเจ้า ด้วยมีคำเขียนไว้แล้วว่า `พระองค์ทรงจับคนที่มีปัญญาด้วยอุบายของเขาเอง'

¹⁹For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.” Job 5:13

²⁰และยังมีอีกว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงทราบความคิดของคนมีปัญญาว่าเป็นเพียงแต่ไร้สาระ'

²⁰And again, “The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.” Psalm 94:11

²¹เหตุฉะนั้นอย่าให้ผู้ใดยกมนุษย์ขึ้นอวด ด้วยว่าสิ่งสารพัดเป็นของท่านทั้งหลาย

²¹Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,

²²จะเป็นเปาโล อปอลโล เคฟาส โลก ชีวิต ความตาย สิ่งในปัจจุบันนี้ หรือสิ่งในอนาคต สิ่งสารพัดนั้นเป็นของท่านทั้งหลาย

²²whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,

²³และท่านทั้งหลายเป็นของพระคริสต์ และพระคริสต์ทรงเป็นของพระเจ้า

²³and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
