¹พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ได้มาถึงเยฮูบุตรชายฮานานีกล่าวโทษบาอาชาว่า

¹The word of Yahweh came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,

²"ในเมื่อเราได้เชิดชูเจ้าขึ้นมาจากผงคลี และกระทำให้เจ้าเป็นประมุขเหนืออิสราเอลประชาชนของเรา และเจ้าได้ดำเนินตามมรรคาของเยโรโบอัม และได้กระทำให้อิสราเอลประชาชนของเราทำบาปด้วย กระทำให้เราโกรธด้วยบาปของเขาทั้งหลาย

²“Because I exalted you out of the dust, and made you prince over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

³ดูเถิด เราจะกวาดล้างผู้อยู่ภายหลังบาอาชาและผู้อยู่ภายหลังราชวงศ์ของเขาเสียอย่างสิ้นเชิง และกระทำให้ราชวงศ์ของเจ้าเหมือนกับราชวงศ์ของเยโรโบอัมบุตรเนบัท

³behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

⁴ผู้ใดในราชวงศ์บาอาชาที่ตายในเมืองสุนัขจะกิน และผู้ใดที่ตายในทุ่งนา นกในอากาศจะกิน"

⁴The dogs will eat Baasha’s descendants who die in the city; and he who dies of his in the field the birds of the sky will eat.”

⁵ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของบาอาชา และบรรดาสิ่งที่พระองค์ได้กระทำ และยุทธพลังของพระองค์ มิได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารแห่งกษัตริย์ประเทศอิสราเอลหรือ

⁵Now the rest of the acts of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

⁶และบาอาชาก็ล่วงหลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ และเขาก็ฝังไว้ที่เมืองทีรซาห์ และเอลาห์ราชโอรสก็ขึ้นครองแทนพระองค์

⁶Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his place.

⁷Moreover by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of Yahweh against Baasha, and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck him.

⁸ในปีที่ยี่สิบหกแห่งรัชกาลอาสากษัตริย์ของยูดาห์ เอลาห์โอรสบาอาชาทรงเริ่มขึ้นครองเหนืออิสราเอลในเมืองทีรซาห์ และทรงครอบครองอยู่สองปี

⁸In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah for two years.

⁹แต่ศิมรีข้าราชการของพระองค์ ผู้บัญชาการกองรถรบของพระองค์ครึ่งหนึ่ง ได้คิดกบฏต่อพระองค์เมื่อพระองค์ประทับที่เมืองทีรซาห์ พระองค์ทรงดื่มจนเมาในเรือนของอารซาผู้ครอบครองราชสำนักในทีรซาห์

⁹His servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah:

¹⁰ศิมรีได้เข้ามาฟันพระองค์ล้มลง และประหารพระองค์เสีย ในปีที่ยี่สิบเจ็ดแห่งรัชกาลอาสากษัตริย์ของยูดาห์แล้วก็ขึ้นครองแทนพระองค์

¹⁰and Zimri went in and struck him, and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.

¹¹และอยู่มาเมื่อพระองค์ทรงเริ่มครองราชย์ ทันทีที่พระองค์เสด็จประทับบนราชบัลลังก์ พระองค์ทรงสังหารราชวงศ์ของบาอาชาเสียสิ้น พระองค์มิได้ทรงเหลือไว้สักคนหนึ่งที่ปัสสาวะรดกำแพงได้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นญาติหรือมิตรสหายของบาอาชา

¹¹It happened, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he struck all the house of Baasha: he didn’t leave him a single one who urinates on a wall, or, male neither of his relatives, nor of his friends.

¹²ศิมรีทรงทำลายราชวงศ์ของบาอาชาทั้งหมดดังนี้แหละ ตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ ซึ่งพระองค์ตรัสโดยเยฮูผู้พยากรณ์กล่าวโทษบาอาชา

¹²Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,

¹³เหตุด้วยบาปทั้งสิ้นของบาอาชา และบาปของเอลาห์ราชโอรสของพระองค์ ซึ่งพระองค์ทั้งสองได้กระทำบาป และซึ่งพระองค์ทั้งสองได้กระทำให้ชนอิสราเอลทำบาปด้วย กระทำให้พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลทรงกริ้วด้วยเรื่องความหยิ่งยโสของพระองค์ทั้งสองนั้น

¹³for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned, and with which they made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.

¹⁴ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของเอลาห์ และบรรดาสิ่งซึ่งพระองค์ทรงกระทำ มิได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารแห่งกษัตริย์ประเทศอิสราเอลหรือ

¹⁴Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

¹⁵ในปีที่ยี่สิบเจ็ดแห่งรัชกาลอาสากษัตริย์ประเทศยูดาห์ ศิมรีทรงครอบครองเจ็ดวัน ณ เมืองทีรซาห์ ฝ่ายพวกพลได้ตั้งค่ายรบเมืองกิบเบโธน ซึ่งเป็นของคนฟีลิสเตีย

¹⁵In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.

¹⁶และพวกพลซึ่งตั้งค่ายอยู่นั้นได้ยินเขากล่าวกันว่า "ศิมรีได้กบฏและท่านได้ปลงพระชนม์กษัตริย์เสียแล้ว" เพราะฉะนั้นอิสราเอลทั้งปวงก็สถาปนาอมรี ผู้บัญชาการกองทัพให้เป็นกษัตริย์เหนืออิสราเอลในวันนั้นที่ในค่าย

¹⁶The people who were encamped heard say, Zimri has conspired, and has also struck the king: therefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.

¹⁷อมรีจึงเสด็จขึ้นไปจากกิบเบโธน และอิสราเอลทั้งปวงก็ขึ้นไปด้วย เขาทั้งหลายเข้าล้อมเมืองทีรซาห์

¹⁷Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.

¹⁸และต่อมาเมื่อศิมรีทรงเห็นว่าเมืองนั้นถูกยึดแล้วก็เสด็จเข้าไปในพระราชวังแห่งราชสำนักและทรงเผาราชสำนักคลอก

¹⁸It happened, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the castle of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with fire, and died,

¹⁹เหตุด้วยบาปทั้งหลายซึ่งพระองค์ทรงกระทำไว้ คือทรงกระทำชั่วในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์ ดำเนินอยู่ในมรรคาของเยโรโบอัม และด้วยเหตุบาปซึ่งพระองค์ทรงกระทำ คือทรงกระทำให้อิสราเอลทำบาปด้วย

¹⁹for his sins which he sinned in doing that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.

²⁰ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของศิมรีและการกบฏซึ่งพระองค์ทรงกระทำ มิได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารแห่งกษัตริย์อิสราเอลหรือ

²⁰Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he committed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

²¹แล้วชนชาติอิสราเอลก็แบ่งออกเป็นสองส่วน ครึ่งหนึ่งของประชาชนติดตามทิบนีบุตรชายกีนัท เชิญท่านให้เป็นกษัตริย์ และอีกครึ่งหนึ่งติดตามอมรี

²¹Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.

²²แต่ประชาชนผู้ติดตามอมรีได้รบชนะประชาชนผู้ติดตามทิบนีบุตรชายกีนัท ทิบนีจึงสิ้นชีวิตและอมรีก็ขึ้นเป็นกษัตริย์

²²But the people who followed Omri prevailed against the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.

²³ในปีที่สามสิบเอ็ดแห่งรัชกาลอาสากษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ อมรีได้เริ่มต้นครอบครองอยู่เหนืออิสราเอล และทรงครอบครองอยู่สิบสองปี พระองค์ทรงครอบครองในเมืองทีรซาห์หกปี

²³In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel for twelve years. He reigned six years in Tirzah.

²⁴พระองค์ทรงซื้อภูเขาสะมาเรียจากเชเมอร์เงินสองตะลันต์ และพระองค์ทรงเสริมภูเขานั้นให้เป็นป้อม และทรงขนานนามเมืองที่พระองค์ทรงสร้างนั้นว่าสะมาเรีย ตามชื่อของเชเมอร์ผู้เป็นเจ้าของภูเขานั้น

²⁴He bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill, Samaria.

²⁵อมรีได้ทรงกระทำสิ่งที่ชั่วในสายพระเนตรพระเยโฮวาห์ และทรงกระทำเลวทรามกว่าบรรดากษัตริย์ที่อยู่มาก่อนพระองค์

²⁵Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and dealt wickedly above all who were before him.

²⁶เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงดำเนินตามมรรคาทั้งสิ้นของเยโรโบอัมบุตรชายเนบัท และตามบาปซึ่งพระองค์กระทำให้อิสราเอลทำบาปด้วย กระทำให้พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลพิโรธด้วยความหยิ่งยโสของเขาทั้งหลาย

²⁶For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins with which he made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.

²⁷ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของอมรีซึ่งพระองค์ทรงกระทำ และยุทธพลังซึ่งพระองค์ทรงสำแดง มิได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารแห่งกษัตริย์ประเทศอิสราเอลหรือ

²⁷Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he showed, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

²⁸และอมรีก็ล่วงหลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ และเขาฝังไว้ในสะมาเรีย และอาหับราชโอรสของพระองค์ก็ขึ้นครองแทนพระองค์

²⁸So Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his place.

²⁹ในปีที่สามสิบแปดแห่งรัชกาลอาสากษัตริย์ของยูดาห์ อาหับราชโอรสของอมรีได้เริ่มครอบครองเหนืออิสราเอล และอาหับราชโอรสของอมรีได้ครองเหนืออิสราเอลในเมืองสะมาเรียยี่สิบสองปี

²⁹In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.

³⁰และอาหับโอรสของอมรีได้กระทำชั่วในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์มากยิ่งเสียกว่าบรรดากษัตริย์ที่อยู่ก่อนพระองค์

³⁰Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh above all that were before him.

³¹และอยู่มาประหนึ่งว่าการที่พระองค์ดำเนินในบาปทั้งหลายของเยโรโบอัมบุตรชายเนบัทนั้นเป็นสิ่งเล็กน้อย พระองค์ทรงรับเยเซเบลพระราชธิดาของเอ็ทบาอัลกษัตริย์ของชาวไซดอนมาเป็นมเหสี และไปปรนนิบัติพระบาอัล และนมัสการพระนั้น

³¹It happened, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshiped him.

³²พระองค์ทรงสร้างแท่นบูชาพระบาอัลในพระนิเวศพระบาอัล ซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงสร้างไว้ในเมืองสะมาเรีย

³²He reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.

³³และอาหับทรงสร้างเสารูปเคารพ อาหับทรงกระทำการที่กระทำให้พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลทรงพระพิโรธ มากยิ่งกว่าบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลซึ่งอยู่มาก่อนพระองค์

³³Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did yet more to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.

³⁴ในรัชกาลของพระองค์ฮีเอลชาวเบธเอลได้สร้างเมืองเยรีโค ท่านได้วางรากเมืองนั้นโดยต้องเสียอาบีรัมบุตรหัวปีของท่าน และตั้งประตูเมืองโดยต้องเสียเสกุบบุตรสุดท้องของท่าน ตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ ซึ่งพระองค์ตรัสโดยโยชูวาบุตรชายนูน

³⁴In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho: he laid its foundation with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.
