1They continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.
2ต่อไปในปีที่สามเยโฮชาฟัทกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์เสด็จลงไปเฝ้ากษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล
2It happened in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.
3และกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลตรัสถามบรรดาข้าราชการของพระองค์ว่า "ท่านทราบกันหรือไม่ว่าราโมทกิเลอาดเป็นของเรา และเราได้นิ่งอยู่มิได้เอาออกมาจากมือของกษัตริย์แห่งซีเรีย"
3The king of Israel said to his servants, “You know that Ramoth Gilead is ours, and we are still, and don’t take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?”
4และพระองค์ตรัสกับเยโฮชาฟัทว่า "ท่านจะยกไปทำศึกที่ราโมทกิเลอาดกับข้าพเจ้าหรือ" และเยโฮชาฟัทตรัสกับกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลว่า "ข้าพเจ้าก็เป็นอย่างที่ท่านเป็น ประชาชนของข้าพเจ้าก็เป็นดังประชาชนของท่าน ม้าของข้าพเจ้าก็เป็นดังม้าของท่าน"
4He said to Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to battle to Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”
5และเยโฮชาฟัทตรัสกับกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลว่า "ขอสอบถามดูพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์วันนี้เถิด"
5Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire first for the word of Yahweh.”
6แล้วกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลก็เรียกประชุมพวกผู้พยากรณ์ประมาณสี่ร้อยคน ตรัสกับเขาว่า "ควรที่เราจะไปตีราโมทกิเลอาดหรือ หรือเราไม่ควรไป" และเขาทั้งหลายทูลตอบว่า "ขอเชิญเสด็จขึ้นไปเถิด เพราะองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงมอบไว้ในพระหัตถ์ของกษัตริย์"
6Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, “Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” They said, “Go up; for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.”
7แต่เยโฮชาฟัททูลว่า "ที่นี่ไม่มีผู้พยากรณ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์อีกซึ่งเราจะสอบถามได้แล้วหรือ"
7But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there here a prophet of Yahweh, that we may inquire of him?”
8และกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลทูลเยโฮชาฟัทว่า "ยังมีชายอีกคนหนึ่งซึ่งเราจะให้ทูลถามพระเยโฮวาห์ได้คือ มีคายาห์บุตรอิมลาห์ แต่ข้าพเจ้าชังเขา เพราะเขาพยากรณ์แต่ความร้าย ไม่เคยพยากรณ์ความดีเกี่ยวกับข้าพเจ้าเลย" และเยโฮชาฟัททูลว่า "ขอกษัตริย์อย่าตรัสดังนั้นเลย"
8The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him; for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said, “Don’t let the king say so.”
9แล้วกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลจึงเรียกมหาดเล็กคนหนึ่งเข้ามาตรัสสั่งว่า "ไปพามีคายาห์บุตรอิมลาห์มาเร็วๆ"
9Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, “Quickly get Micaiah the son of Imlah.”
10ฝ่ายกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลและเยโฮชาฟัทกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ต่างประทับบนพระที่นั่ง ทรงฉลองพระองค์ ณ ช่องว่างตรงทางเข้าประตูเมืองสะมาเรีย และผู้พยากรณ์ทั้งปวงก็พยากรณ์ถวายอยู่
10Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
11และเศเดคียาห์บุตรชายเคนาอะนาห์จึงเอาเหล็กทำเป็นเขาและพูดว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ด้วยสิ่งเหล่านี้เจ้าจะผลักคนซีเรียไปจนเจ้าผลาญเขาทั้งหลายเสียสิ้น"
11Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘With these you shall push the Syrians, until they are consumed.’”
12และบรรดาผู้พยากรณ์ก็พยากรณ์อย่างนั้นทูลว่า "ขอเสด็จขึ้นไปราโมทกิเลอาดเถิด และมีชัยชนะ เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงมอบเมืองนั้นไว้ในพระหัตถ์ของกษัตริย์"
12All the prophets prophesied so, saying, “Go up to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper; for Yahweh will deliver it into the hand of the king.”
13และผู้สื่อสารผู้ไปตามมีคายาห์ได้บอกท่านว่า "ดูเถิด ถ้อยคำของบรรดาผู้พยากรณ์ก็พูดสิ่งที่ดีแก่กษัตริย์เป็นปากเดียวกัน ขอให้ถ้อยคำของท่านเหมือนอย่างถ้อยคำของคนหนึ่งในพวกนั้น และพูดแต่สิ่งที่ดี"
13The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “See now, the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good.”
14แต่มีคายาห์ตอบว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงพระชนม์อยู่แน่ฉันใด พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าอย่างไร ข้าพเจ้าจะต้องพูดอย่างนั้น"
14Micaiah said, “As Yahweh lives, what Yahweh says to me, that I will speak.”
15และเมื่อท่านมาเฝ้ากษัตริย์ กษัตริย์ตรัสถามท่านว่า "มีคายาห์ ควรที่เราจะไปตีราโมทกิเลอาดหรือ หรือเราไม่ควรไป" และท่านทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "ขอเชิญเสด็จขึ้นไปและมีชัยชนะ พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงมอบไว้ในพระหัตถ์ของกษัตริย์"
15When he had come to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall we forbear?” He answered him, “Go up and prosper; and Yahweh will deliver it into the hand of the king.”
16แต่กษัตริย์ตรัสกับท่านว่า "เราได้ให้เจ้าปฏิญาณกี่ครั้งแล้วว่า เจ้าจะพูดกับเราแต่ความจริงในพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์"
16The king said to him, “How many times do I have to adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of Yahweh?”
17และท่านก็ทูลว่า "ข้าพระองค์ได้เห็นคนอิสราเอลทั้งปวงกระจัดกระจายอยู่บนภูเขาอย่างแกะที่ไม่มีผู้เลี้ยง และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า `คนเหล่านี้ไม่มีนาย ให้เขาต่างกลับยังเรือนของตนโดยสันติภาพเถิด'"
17He said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. Yahweh said, ‘These have no master. Let them each return to his house in peace.’”
18กษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลจึงทูลเยโฮชาฟัทว่า "ข้าพเจ้ามิได้บอกท่านแล้วหรือว่า เขาจะไม่พยากรณ์สิ่งดีเกี่ยวกับข้าพเจ้าเลย แต่สิ่งร้ายต่างหาก"
18The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”
19และมีคายาห์ทูลว่า "ฉะนั้นขอสดับพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ ข้าพระองค์ได้เห็นพระเยโฮวาห์ประทับบนพระที่นั่งของพระองค์ และบรรดาบริวารแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์ยืนข้างๆพระองค์ ข้างขวาพระหัตถ์และข้างซ้าย
19Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of Yahweh. I saw Yahweh sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
20และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า `ผู้ใดจะเกลี้ยกล่อมอาหับเพื่อเขาจะขึ้นไปและล้มลงที่ราโมทกิเลอาด' บ้างก็ทูลอย่างนี้ บ้างก็ทูลอย่างนั้น
20Yahweh said, ‘Who shall entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ One said one thing; and another said another.
21แล้วมีวิญญาณดวงหนึ่งมาข้างหน้า เฝ้าต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ทูลว่า `ข้าพระองค์จะเกลี้ยกล่อมเขาเอง'
21A spirit came out and stood before Yahweh, and said, ‘I will entice him.’
22และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับเขาว่า `จะทำอย่างไร' และเขาทูลว่า `ข้าพระองค์จะออกไป และจะเป็นวิญญาณมุสาอยู่ในปากของผู้พยากรณ์ของเขาทุกคน' และพระองค์ตรัสว่า `เจ้าไปเกลี้ยกล่อมเขาได้ และเจ้าจะทำได้สำเร็จ จงไปทำเถิด'
22Yahweh said to him, ‘How?’ He said, ‘I will go out and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ He said, ‘You will entice him, and will also prevail. Go out and do so.’
23เพราะฉะนั้นบัดนี้ ดูเถิด พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงใส่วิญญาณมุสาในปากของเหล่าผู้พยากรณ์นี้ทั้งสิ้นของพระองค์ พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงตรัสเป็นความร้ายเกี่ยวกับพระองค์"
23Now therefore, behold, Yahweh has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and Yahweh has spoken evil concerning you.”
24แล้วเศเดคียาห์บุตรชายเคนาอะนาห์ได้เข้ามาใกล้และตบแก้มมีคายาห์พูดว่า "พระวิญญาณของพระเยโฮวาห์ไปจากข้า พูดกับเจ้าได้อย่างไร"
24Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “Which way did the Spirit of Yahweh go from me to speak to you?”
25และมีคายาห์ตอบว่า "ดูเถิด เจ้าจะเห็นในวันนั้น เมื่อเจ้าเข้าไปในห้องชั้นในเพื่อจะซ่อนตัวเจ้า"
25Micaiah said, “Behold, you will see on that day, when you go into an inner room to hide yourself.”
26และกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลตรัสว่า "จงจับมีคายาห์พาเขากลับไปมอบให้อาโมนผู้ว่าราชการเมืองและแก่โยอาชราชโอรสกษัตริย์
26The king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son.
27และว่า `กษัตริย์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เอาคนนี้จำคุกเสีย ให้อาหารแห่งความทุกข์กับน้ำแห่งความทุกข์ จนกว่าเราจะกลับมาโดยสันติภาพ"'"
27Say, ‘Thus says the king, “Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.”’”
28และมีคายาห์ทูลว่า "ถ้าพระองค์เสด็จกลับมาโดยสันติภาพ พระเยโฮวาห์ก็มิได้ตรัสโดยข้าพระองค์" และท่านกล่าวว่า "โอ บรรดาชนชาติทั้งหลายเอ๋ย ขอจงฟังเถิด"
28Micaiah said, “If you return at all in peace, Yahweh has not spoken by me.” He said, “Listen, all you people!”
29กษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลกับเยโฮชาฟัทกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์จึงเสด็จขึ้นไปยังราโมทกิเลอาด
29So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.
30และกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลตรัสกับเยโฮชาฟัทว่า "ข้าพเจ้าจะปลอมตัวเข้าทำศึก แต่ท่านจงสวมเครื่องทรงของท่าน" และกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลก็ทรงปลอมพระองค์เข้าทำสงคราม
30The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but you put on your robes.” The king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
31ฝ่ายกษัตริย์ประเทศซีเรียทรงบัญชาแม่ทัพรถรบทั้งสามสิบสองคนว่า "อย่ารบกับทหารน้อยหรือใหญ่ แต่มุ่งเฉพาะกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล"
31Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel.
32และอยู่มาเมื่อผู้บัญชาการรถรบแลเห็นเยโฮชาฟัท เขาทั้งหลายก็ว่า "เป็นกษัตริย์อิสราเอลแน่แล้ว" เขาจึงหันเข้าไปสู้รบกับพระองค์และเยโฮชาฟัททรงร้องขึ้น
32It happened, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, “Surely that is the king of Israel!” and they turned aside to fight against him. Jehoshaphat cried out.
33และอยู่มาเมื่อผู้บัญชาการรถรบเห็นว่าไม่ใช่กษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล ก็หันกลับจากไล่ตามพระองค์
33It happened, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.
34แต่มีชายคนหนึ่งโก่งธนูยิงเดาไป ถูกกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลเข้าระหว่างเกล็ดเกราะและแผ่นบังพระอุระ พระองค์จึงรับสั่งคนขับรถรบว่า "หันกลับเถอะ พาเราออกจากการรบ เพราะเราบาดเจ็บแล้ว"
34A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn your hand, and carry me out of the battle; for I am severely wounded.”
35วันนั้นการรบก็ดุเดือดขึ้น เขาก็หนุนกษัตริย์ไว้ในราชรถให้หันพระพักตร์เข้าสู่ชนซีเรีย จนเวลาเย็นพระองค์ก็สิ้นพระชนม์ และโลหิตที่บาดแผลก็ไหลออกนองท้องรถรบ
35The battle increased that day. The king was propped up in his chariot facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out of the wound into the bottom of the chariot.
36ประมาณดวงอาทิตย์ตกก็มีเสียงร้องทั่วกองทัพว่า "ทุกคนจงกลับไปเมืองของตัว และทุกคนจงกลับไปภูมิลำเนาของตัว"
36A cry went throughout the army about the going down of the sun, saying, “Every man to his city, and every man to his country!”
37ครั้นกษัตริย์สิ้นพระชนม์แล้วเขาก็นำมายังกรุงสะมาเรีย และฝังพระศพกษัตริย์ไว้ในสะมาเรีย
37So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.
38เขาล้างรถรบที่สระแห่งสะมาเรีย และสุนัขก็เลียโลหิตของพระองค์ เขาได้ล้างเกราะของพระองค์ ตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ซึ่งพระองค์ได้ตรัส
38They washed the chariot by the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood where the prostitutes washed themselves; according to the word of Yahweh which he spoke.
39ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของอาหับ และบรรดาสิ่งซึ่งพระองค์ทรงกระทำ และพระราชวังงาช้างซึ่งพระองค์ทรงสร้างไว้ และหัวเมืองทั้งปวงที่พระองค์ทรงสร้าง มิได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารแห่งกษัตริย์ประเทศอิสราเอลหรือ
39Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities that he built, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
40อาหับทรงล่วงหลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ และอาหัสยาห์ราชโอรสของพระองค์ก็ขึ้นครองแทน
40So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his place.
41เยโฮชาฟัทราชโอรสของอาสาเริ่มขึ้นครองเหนือยูดาห์ในปีที่สี่แห่งรัชกาลอาหับกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล
41Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.
42เยโฮชาฟัทมีพระชนมายุสามสิบห้าพรรษาเมื่อทรงเริ่มขึ้นครอง และพระองค์ทรงครองในเยรูซาเล็มยี่สิบห้าปี พระชนนีของพระองค์มีพระนามว่า อาซูบาห์ธิดาของชิลหิ
42Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
43พระองค์ทรงดำเนินตามมรรคาของอาสาราชบิดาทุกประการ มิได้หันเหออกไปจากทางนั้น ทรงกระทำสิ่งที่ถูกต้องในสายพระเนตรพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่ปูชนียสถานสูงนั้นยังมิได้ถูกรื้อลง ประชาชนยังคงถวายเครื่องสัตวบูชาและเผาเครื่องหอมในปูชนียสถานสูงนั้น
43He walked in all the way of Asa his father; He didn’t turn aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh: however the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.
44เยโฮชาฟัททรงกระทำไมตรีกับกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลด้วย
44Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.
45ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของเยโฮชาฟัท และยุทธพลังที่พระองค์ทรงสำแดง และสงครามที่พระองค์ทรงกระทำ มิได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารแห่งกษัตริย์ประเทศยูดาห์หรือ
45Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he showed, and how he warred, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
46และพวกกะเทยที่ยังเหลืออยู่คือผู้ที่ยังเหลือในสมัยของอาสาราชบิดานั้น พระองค์ก็ทรงกำจัดเสียจากแผ่นดิน
46The remnant of the sodomites, that remained in the days of his father Asa, he put away out of the land.
47ไม่มีกษัตริย์ในประเทศเอโดม แต่มีผู้ว่าราชการเป็นกษัตริย์
47There was no king in Edom: a deputy was king.
48เยโฮชาฟัททรงต่อกำปั่นทารชิช เพื่อจะไปขนทองคำจากโอฟีร์ แต่กำปั่นนั้นไปไม่ถึงเพราะไปแตกเสียที่เอซีโอนเกเบอร์
48Jehoshaphat made ships of Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they didn’t go; for the ships were broken at Ezion Geber.
49แล้วอาหัสยาห์ราชโอรสของอาหับตรัสกับเยโฮชาฟัทว่า "ขอให้ข้าราชการของข้าพเจ้าไปในเรือกำปั่นกับข้าราชการของท่าน" แต่เยโฮชาฟัทไม่พอพระทัย
49Then Ahaziah the son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, “Let my servants go with your servants in the ships.” But Jehoshaphat would not.
50และเยโฮชาฟัททรงล่วงหลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ และเขาฝังพระศพไว้กับบรรพบุรุษที่ในนครดาวิดบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ และเยโฮรัมราชโอรสก็ขึ้นครองแทนพระองค์
50Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; Jehoram his son reigned in his place.
51อาหัสยาห์ราชโอรสของอาหับทรงเริ่มครองเหนืออิสราเอลในสะมาเรียในปีที่สิบเจ็ดแห่งรัชกาลเยโฮชาฟัทกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ และพระองค์ทรงครอบครองเหนืออิสราเอลสองปี
51Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned two years over Israel.
52พระองค์ทรงกระทำชั่วในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์ และทรงดำเนินในมรรคาแห่งราชบิดาของพระองค์ และในมรรคาแห่งพระมารดาของพระองค์ และในมรรคาของเยโรโบอัมบุตรชายเนบัทผู้ทรงกระทำให้อิสราเอลทำบาปด้วย
52He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, in which he made Israel to sin.
53พระองค์ทรงปรนนิบัติพระบาอัลและนมัสการพระนั้น และทรงกระทำให้พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลพิโรธด้วยทุกวิธีที่ราชบิดาของพระองค์ทรงกระทำแล้วนั้น
53He served Baal, and worshiped him, and provoked to anger Yahweh, the God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
