¹เฮเซคียาห์ทรงรับสั่งไปถึงอิสราเอลและยูดาห์ทั้งปวง และทรงพระอักษรถึงเอฟราอิมกับมนัสเสห์ด้วยว่า เขาทั้งหลายควรจะมายังพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ที่เยรูซาเล็ม เพื่อจะถือเทศกาลปัสกาถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของอิสราเอล

¹Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

²เพราะว่ากษัตริย์และเจ้านายของพระองค์ทั้งชุมนุมชนทั้งปวงในเยรูซาเล็มได้ปรึกษากันที่จะถือเทศกาลปัสกาในเดือนที่สอง

²For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the Passover in the second month.

³ด้วยเขาทั้งหลายจะถือปัสกาตามกำหนดไม่ได้ เพราะว่าพวกปุโรหิตยังมิได้ชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์เพียงพอแก่จำนวน และประชาชนยังมิได้ชุมนุมกันในเยรูซาเล็ม

³For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

⁴และแผนงานนั้นก็เป็นที่ชอบแก่กษัตริย์และชุมนุมชนทั้งปวง

⁴The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.

⁵เขาจึงลงมติให้ทำประกาศออกไปทั่วอิสราเอล ตั้งแต่เบเออร์เชบาถึงเมืองดานว่า ประชาชนควรมาถือปัสกาถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลที่เยรูซาเล็ม เพราะเขามิได้ถือเป็นเวลานานตามที่ได้กำหนดไว้

⁵So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: for they had not kept it in great numbers in such sort as it is written.

⁶คนเดินหนังสือจึงออกไปทั่วอิสราเอลและยูดาห์ ถือหนังสือจากกษัตริย์และบรรดาเจ้านายของพระองค์ เพราะกษัตริย์ได้ทรงบัญชาว่า "ชนอิสราเอลเอ๋ย จงกลับมาหาพระเยโฮวาห์ พระเจ้าของอับราฮัม อิสอัค และอิสราเอล เพื่อพระองค์จะหันกลับมายังคนส่วนที่เหลืออยู่ของท่าน ผู้ซึ่งหนีรอดจากพระหัตถ์ของกษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรีย

⁶So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, “You children of Israel, turn again to Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant that have escaped of you out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

⁷ท่านอย่าเป็นเหมือนบิดาและเหมือนพี่น้องของท่านผู้ได้กระทำการละเมิดต่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งบรรพบุรุษของเขา พระองค์จึงทรงมอบเขาให้ถึงความเศร้าสลดตามที่ท่านเองก็เห็นอยู่

⁷Don’t be like your fathers, and like your brothers, who trespassed against Yahweh, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.

⁸และคราวนี้อย่าคอแข็งอย่างบิดาของท่านทั้งหลายเลย แต่จงยอมมอบตัวท่านแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ และมายังสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงชำระไว้ให้บริสุทธิ์เป็นนิตย์ และปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่าน เพื่อพระพิโรธอันแรงกล้าของพระองค์จะหันไปเสียจากท่าน

⁸Now don’t be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves to Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Yahweh your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

⁹เพราะถ้าท่านทั้งหลายหันกลับมายังพระเยโฮวาห์ พี่น้องของท่านและลูกหลานของท่านจะประสบความเอ็นดูจากผู้ที่จับเขาไปเป็นเชลย และจะได้กลับมายังแผ่นดินนี้อีก เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านทรงพระเมตตาและกรุณา ถ้าท่านกลับมาหาพระองค์ พระองค์จะไม่ทรงหันพระพักตร์ไปจากท่าน"

⁹For if you turn again to Yahweh, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those who led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.”

¹⁰คนเดินหนังสือจึงไปตามหัวเมืองต่างๆทั่วแผ่นดินเอฟราอิมและมนัสเสห์ไกลไปจนถึงเศบูลุน แต่คนทั้งหลายก็หัวเราะเยาะเขา และเย้ยหยันเขา

¹⁰So the couriers passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun: but they ridiculed them, and mocked them.

¹¹มีแต่คนอาเชอร์ มนัสเสห์และเศบูลุนบางคนที่ถ่อมตัวและมายังเยรูซาเล็ม

¹¹Nevertheless certain men of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

¹²พระหัตถ์ของพระเจ้าอยู่เหนือยูดาห์ด้วย ทรงให้เขาเป็นใจเดียวกันที่จะกระทำตามซึ่งกษัตริย์และเจ้านายได้บัญชาเขาไว้ตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์

¹²Also on Judah came the hand of God to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by the word of Yahweh.

¹³ประชาชนเป็นอันมากมาประชุมกันในเยรูซาเล็มเพื่อถือเทศกาลกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อในเดือนที่สอง เป็นการชุมนุมใหญ่ยิ่งนัก

¹³Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.

¹⁴พวกเขาลุกขึ้นและได้กำจัดแท่นบูชาที่อยู่ในเยรูซาเล็มและแท่นสำหรับเผาเครื่องหอมทั้งปวงนั้น เขาขนไปทิ้งเสียในลำธารขิดโรน

¹⁴They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.

¹⁵และเขาทั้งหลายได้ฆ่าแกะปัสกาในวันที่สิบสี่ของเดือนที่สอง ปุโรหิตและคนเลวีก็ต้องรู้สึกละอาย เพราะฉะนั้นเขาจึงชำระตัวให้บริสุทธิ์ และนำเครื่องเผาบูชามาในพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁵Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into the house of Yahweh.

¹⁶เขาทั้งหลายเข้าประจำตำแหน่งที่เขาเคย ตามพระราชบัญญัติของโมเสสคนของพระเจ้า ปุโรหิตก็เอาเลือดซึ่งเขารับมาจากมือของคนเลวีประพรม

¹⁶They stood in their place after their order, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood which they received of the hand of the Levites.

¹⁷เพราะว่ามีหลายคนในชุมนุมชนนั้นยังมิได้ชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์ เพราะฉะนั้นคนเลวีจึงต้องฆ่าแกะปัสกาแทนทุกคนที่มลทิน เพื่อกระทำให้บริสุทธิ์ต่อพระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁷For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves: therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to Yahweh.

¹⁸เพราะว่ามวลชนนั้น คนเป็นอันมากที่มาจากเอฟราอิม มนัสเสห์ อิสสาคาร์ และเศบูลุนยังไม่ได้ชำระตน ถึงกระนั้นเขาก็ยังรับประทานปัสกาผิดต่อข้อที่กำหนดไว้ แต่เฮเซคียาห์ทรงอธิษฐานเผื่อเขาว่า "ขอพระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ประเสริฐทรงให้อภัยแก่ทุกๆคน

¹⁸For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Yahweh pardon everyone

¹⁹ผู้ปักใจเสาะหาพระเจ้า คือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งบรรพบุรุษของเขา ถึงแม้ว่าจะไม่ชำระตัวตามกฎของความบริสุทธิ์แห่งสถานบริสุทธิ์นี้"

¹⁹who sets his heart to seek God, Yahweh, the God of his fathers, even if they aren’t clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.”

²⁰พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงฟังเฮเซคียาห์และทรงรักษาประชาชน

²⁰Yahweh listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

²¹และประชาชนอิสราเอลที่อยู่ ณ เยรูซาเล็มได้ถือเทศกาลกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อเจ็ดวันด้วยความยินดียิ่ง และคนเลวีกับปุโรหิตได้สรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์ทุกวันๆ ร้องเพลงทำเสียงดังด้วยเครื่องดนตรีของเขาถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์

²¹The children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised Yahweh day by day, singing with loud instruments to Yahweh.

²²และเฮเซคียาห์ทรงกล่าวหนุนใจพวกคนเลวีทั้งปวงผู้สอนถึงความรู้อันประเสริฐแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์ พวกเขาจึงรับประทานอาหารในเทศกาลนั้นเจ็ดวัน ได้ถวายสัตว์เป็นเครื่องสันติบูชา และสารภาพความผิดบาปต่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งบรรพบุรุษของตน

²²Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of Yahweh. So they ate throughout the feast for the seven days, offering sacrifices of peace offerings, and making confession to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.

²³แล้วชุมนุมชนทั้งสิ้นก็ตกลงกันที่จะถือเทศกาลไปอีกเจ็ดวัน เขาจึงถือเทศกาลไปอีกเจ็ดวันด้วยความยินดี

²³The whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days; and they kept another seven days with gladness.

²⁴เพราะเฮเซคียาห์กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ได้ทรงประทานวัวผู้หนึ่งพันตัวและแกะเจ็ดพันตัวแก่ชุมนุมชน และพวกเจ้านายได้ให้วัวผู้หนึ่งพันตัวและแกะหนึ่งหมื่นตัวแก่ชุมนุมชน และปุโรหิตเป็นจำนวนมากก็ได้ชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์

²⁴For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

²⁵ชุมนุมชนทั้งสิ้นของยูดาห์ กับบรรดาปุโรหิตและคนเลวี และชุมนุมชนทั้งสิ้นซึ่งออกมาจากอิสราเอล และคนต่างด้าวซึ่งออกมาจากแผ่นดินอิสราเอลและซึ่งอยู่ในยูดาห์เปรมปรีดิ์กัน

²⁵All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel, and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.

²⁶จึงมีความชื่นบานใหญ่ยิ่งในเยรูซาเล็ม เพราะตั้งแต่สมัยของซาโลมอนโอรสของดาวิดกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลไม่เคยมีอย่างนี้เลยในเยรูซาเล็ม

²⁶So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.

²⁷แล้วบรรดาปุโรหิตและคนเลวีได้ลุกขึ้นอวยพรประชาชน เสียงของเขาก็ถึงพระกรรณ และคำอธิษฐานของเขาก็ขึ้นมายังที่ประทับบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์คือสวรรค์

²⁷Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.
