1เมื่อมนัสเสห์เริ่มครอบครองมีพระชนมายุสิบสองพรรษา และพระองค์ทรงครอบครองในเยรูซาเล็มห้าสิบห้าปี
1Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
2พระองค์ทรงกระทำสิ่งที่ชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์ ตามการกระทำที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนของประชาชาติ ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงขับไล่ไปเสียให้พ้นหน้าประชาชนอิสราเอล
2He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, after the abominations of the nations whom Yahweh cast out before the children of Israel.
3เพราะพระองค์ทรงสร้างปูชนียสถานสูงขึ้นใหม่ ซึ่งเฮเซคียาห์พระราชบิดาของพระองค์ได้ทรงพังลงนั้น และทรงสร้างแท่นบูชาแด่พระบาอัล และทรงทำบรรดาเสารูปเคารพ และนมัสการบริวารทั้งสิ้นของฟ้าสวรรค์ และปรนนิบัติพระเหล่านั้น
3For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars for the Baals, and made Asheroth, and worshiped all the army of the sky, and served them.
4และพระองค์ทรงสร้างแท่นบูชาในพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "นามของเราจะอยู่ในเยรูซาเล็มเป็นนิตย์"
4He built altars in the house of Yahweh, of which Yahweh said, “My name shall be in Jerusalem forever.”
5และพระองค์ได้ทรงสร้างแท่นบูชาสำหรับบรรดาบริวารแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์ในลานทั้งสองแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์
5He built altars for all the army of the sky in the two courts of the house of Yahweh.
6และพระองค์ได้ทรงถวายโอรสของพระองค์ให้ลุยไฟในหุบเขาบุตรชายของฮินโนม ถือฤกษ์ยาม ใช้เวทมนตร์ ใช้ไสยศาสตร์ ติดต่อกับคนทรงและพ่อมดหมอผี พระองค์ทรงกระทำสิ่งที่ชั่วร้ายเป็นอันมากในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์ ซึ่งเป็นการยั่วยุให้พระองค์ทรงกริ้วโกรธ
6He also made his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he practiced sorcery, and used enchantments, and practiced sorcery, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he worked much evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger.
7และรูปเคารพสลัก ซึ่งคือรูปเคารพที่พระองค์ทรงสร้างนั้น พระองค์ทรงตั้งไว้ในพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า ซึ่งพระเจ้าตรัสกับดาวิดและซาโลมอนโอรสของดาวิดว่า "ในนิเวศนี้และในเยรูซาเล็ม ซึ่งเราได้เลือกออกจากตระกูลทั้งสิ้นของอิสราเอล เราจะบรรจุนามของเราไว้เป็นนิตย์
7He set the engraved image of the idol, which he had made, in God’s house, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name forever:
8และเราจะไม่ให้เท้าของอิสราเอลพเนจรออกไปจากแผ่นดินซึ่งเราได้กำหนดให้บรรพบุรุษของเจ้าอีกเลย ถ้าเขาเพียงแต่จะระมัดระวังกระทำทุกอย่างซึ่งเราได้บัญชาเขาไว้ คือราชบัญญัติ กฎเกณฑ์ และกฎทั้งสิ้นซึ่งได้ให้ไว้โดยทางโมเสส"
8neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your fathers, if only they will observe to do all that I have commanded them, even all the law and the statutes and the ordinances given by Moses.”
9มนัสเสห์ทรงชักจูงยูดาห์และชาวเยรูซาเล็มให้หลง เขาจึงได้กระทำความชั่วร้ายยิ่งกว่าบรรดาประชาชาติ ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงทำลายให้พ้นหน้าประชาชนอิสราเอลนั้น
9Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that they did more evil than the nations whom Yahweh destroyed before the children of Israel did.
10พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับมนัสเสห์และประชาชนของพระองค์ แต่เขาทั้งหลายไม่ฟัง
10Yahweh spoke to Manasseh, and to his people; but they gave no heed.
11เพราะฉะนั้นพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงให้ผู้บังคับกองทหารของกษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรียมาต่อสู้เขาทั้งหลาย ได้จับมนัสเสห์ท่ามกลางพงหนามและจำจองด้วยตรวนและนำพระองค์มายังบาบิโลน
11Therefore Yahweh brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
12และเมื่อพระองค์ทรงทุกข์ยาก พระองค์ทรงวิงวอนขอพระกรุณาต่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์ และถ่อมพระทัยลงอย่างมากต่อพระพักตร์พระเจ้าของบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์
12When he was in distress, he begged Yahweh his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.
13พระองค์ทรงอธิษฐานต่อพระเจ้า และพระเจ้าทรงรับคำวิงวอนของพระองค์ และทรงฟังคำอ้อนวอนของพระองค์ และนำพระองค์กลับมายังกรุงเยรูซาเล็มในราชอาณาจักรของพระองค์อีก แล้วมนัสเสห์ทรงทราบว่าพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเป็นพระเจ้า
13He prayed to him; and he was entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.
14ภายหลังพระองค์ทรงสร้างกำแพงชั้นนอกให้นครดาวิดทางตะวันตกของกีโฮนในหุบเขาไปจนถึงทางเข้าประตูปลา แล้ววงรอบตำบลโอเฟล และก่อขึ้นให้สูงมาก และพระองค์ทรงตั้งผู้บังคับบัญชากองทัพให้อยู่ในหัวเมืองมีป้อมในยูดาห์ทั้งสิ้น
14Now after this he built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the fish gate; and he encircled Ophel with it, and raised it up to a very great height: and he put valiant captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.
15และพระองค์ทรงเอาพระต่างด้าวและรูปเคารพไปเสียจากพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ และแท่นบูชาทั้งสิ้นซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงสร้างไว้บนภูเขาแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ และในเยรูซาเล็ม และพระองค์ทรงทิ้งออกไปนอกเมือง
15He took away the foreign gods, and the idol out of the house of Yahweh, and all the altars that he had built in the mountain of the house of Yahweh, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
16และพระองค์ทรงซ่อมแท่นบูชาของพระเยโฮวาห์ และทรงถวายเครื่องสัตวบูชาเป็นเครื่องสันติบูชาและเครื่องโมทนาพระคุณบนแท่นนั้น และพระองค์ทรงบัญชาให้ยูดาห์ปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล
16He built up the altar of Yahweh, and offered thereon sacrifices of peace offerings and of thanksgiving, and commanded Judah to serve Yahweh, the God of Israel.
17ถึงกระนั้นก็ดีประชาชนก็ยังถวายสัตวบูชาที่ปูชนียสถานสูง แต่ถวายต่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเขาเท่านั้น
17Nevertheless the people sacrificed still in the high places, but only to Yahweh their God.
18ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของมนัสเสห์ และคำอธิษฐานของพระองค์ต่อพระเจ้า และถ้อยคำของผู้ทำนาย ผู้ทูลพระองค์ในพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ดูเถิด มีบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือของกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล
18Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, behold, they are written among the acts of the kings of Israel.
19และคำอธิษฐานของพระองค์ และเรื่องที่พระเจ้าทรงรับคำวิงวอนของพระองค์ บาปทั้งสิ้นของพระองค์ และการละเมิดของพระองค์ทั้งสิ้น และสถานที่ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงสร้างปูชนียสถานสูง และตั้งบรรดาเสารูปเคารพและรูปเคารพสลัก ก่อนที่พระองค์ทรงถ่อมพระองค์ลงนั้น ดูเถิด เขาบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือประวัติที่ผู้ทำนายแต่ง
19His prayer also, and how God was entreated of him, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places in which he built high places, and set up the Asherim and the engraved images, before he humbled himself: behold, they are written in the history of Hozai.
20มนัสเสห์จึงทรงล่วงหลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ และเขาฝังพระศพไว้ในพระราชวังของพระองค์ และอาโมนโอรสของพระองค์ได้ครอบครองแทนพระองค์
20So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his place.
21เมื่ออาโมนเริ่มครอบครองมีพระชนมายุยี่สิบสองพรรษา และพระองค์ทรงครอบครองในเยรูซาเล็มสองปี
21Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
22พระองค์ทรงกระทำความชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์ อย่างมนัสเสห์ราชบิดาของพระองค์ทรงกระทำนั้น อาโมนถวายสัตวบูชาแก่รูปเคารพสลักทั้งสิ้น ซึ่งมนัสเสห์ราชบิดาของพระองค์ได้ทรงสร้างขึ้น และทรงปรนนิบัติรูปเคารพนั้น
22He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, as did Manasseh his father; and Amon sacrificed to all the engraved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them.
23และพระองค์มิได้ถ่อมพระองค์ลงต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ อย่างมนัสเสห์ราชบิดาของพระองค์ได้ถ่อมพระองค์ลงนั้น แต่อาโมนองค์นี้ได้ละเมิดยิ่งๆขึ้น
23He didn’t humble himself before Yahweh, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but this same Amon trespassed more and more.
24แล้วข้าราชการของพระองค์ก็ร่วมกันคิดกบฏต่อพระองค์ และได้ฆ่าพระองค์เสียในพระราชวังของพระองค์
24His servants conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house.
25แต่ประชาชนแห่งแผ่นดินได้ประหารบรรดาคนเหล่านั้นที่คิดกบฏต่อกษัตริย์อาโมน และประชาชนแห่งแผ่นดินได้แต่งตั้งให้โยสิยาห์โอรสของพระองค์ครอบครองแทนพระองค์
25But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
