¹ยิ่งกว่านั้นโยสิยาห์ทรงถือเทศกาลปัสกาถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ในกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม เขาฆ่าแกะปัสกาในวันที่สิบสี่ของเดือนต้น

¹Josiah kept a Passover to Yahweh in Jerusalem: and they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

²พระองค์ทรงแต่งตั้งปุโรหิตให้ประจำหน้าที่ และทรงสนับสนุนเขาในการปรนนิบัติของพระนิเวศแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์

²He set the priests in their offices, and encouraged them to the service of the house of Yahweh.

³และพระองค์ตรัสกับคนเลวี ผู้บริสุทธิ์เฉพาะพระเยโฮวาห์ ผู้สอนอิสราเอลทั้งปวงว่า "จงวางหีบบริสุทธิ์ไว้ในพระนิเวศ ซึ่งซาโลมอนโอรสของดาวิดกษัตริย์ของอิสราเอลทรงสร้างไว้ เจ้าทั้งหลายไม่ต้องใส่บ่าหามไปอีก บัดนี้จงปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า และอิสราเอลประชาชนของพระองค์

³He said to the Levites who taught all Israel, who were holy to Yahweh, “Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built. There shall no more be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve Yahweh your God, and his people Israel.

⁴จงเตรียมตัวของเจ้าตามเรือนบรรพบุรุษของเจ้าเป็นกองๆ ตามบันทึกพระราชดำรัสชี้แจงของดาวิดกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล และตามบันทึกพระราชดำรัสชี้แจงของซาโลมอนโอรสของพระองค์

⁴Prepare yourselves after your fathers’ houses by your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.

⁵และยืนประจำอยู่ในสถานบริสุทธิ์ ตามพวกต่างๆตามครอบครัวของบรรพบุรุษที่เป็นพี่น้องของท่าน ผู้เป็นประชาชน และตามส่วนแบ่งของแต่ละครอบครัวของคนเลวี

⁵Stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of your brothers the children of the people, and let there be for each a portion of a fathers’ house of the Levites.

⁶และฆ่าแกะปัสกาและชำระตนให้บริสุทธิ์ และเตรียมไว้ให้พี่น้องของเจ้า เพื่อให้เขากระทำตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ทางโมเสสนั้น"

⁶Kill the Passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to the word of Yahweh by Moses.”

⁷แล้วโยสิยาห์ได้ทรงบริจาคแก่ประชาชนเป็นเครื่องปัสกาบูชาสำหรับคนทั้งปวงที่อยู่ที่นั่น เป็นลูกแกะและลูกแพะจากฝูงแพะแกะจำนวนสามหมื่นตัว และวัวผู้สามพันตัว สัตว์เหล่านี้ได้มาจากทรัพย์สินของกษัตริย์

⁷Josiah gave to the children of the people, of the flock, lambs and young goats, all of them for the Passover offerings, to all who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bulls: these were of the king’s substance.

⁸และเจ้านายของพระองค์บริจาคด้วยความเต็มใจแก่ประชาชน แก่ปุโรหิต และแก่คนเลวี ฮิลคียาห์ เศคาริยาห์และเยฮีเอล เจ้าหน้าที่ชั้นหัวหน้าของพระนิเวศแห่งพระเจ้า ได้มอบลูกแกะและลูกแพะสองพันหกร้อยตัวกับวัวผู้สามร้อยตัวแก่ปุโรหิตเป็นเครื่องปัสกาบูชา

⁸His princes gave for a freewill offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the rulers of God’s house, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small livestock, and three hundred head of cattle.

⁹กับโคนานิยาห์ และเชไมอาห์ กับเนธันเอล พวกน้องชายของเขา และฮาชาบิยาห์ และเยอีเอล กับโยซาบาด หัวหน้าของคนเลวี ได้ให้ลูกแกะและลูกแพะห้าพันตัวกับวัวผู้ห้าร้อยตัวแก่คนเลวีเป็นเครื่องปัสกาบูชา

⁹Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethanel, his brothers, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, the chiefs of the Levites, gave to the Levites for the Passover offerings five thousand small livestock, and five hundred head of cattle.

¹⁰เมื่อเตรียมการเรียบร้อยแล้วบรรดาปุโรหิตก็ยืนประจำที่ของตน และคนเลวีก็อยู่ตามกองของตน ตามพระบัญชาของกษัตริย์

¹⁰So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites by their divisions, according to the king’s commandment.

¹¹แล้วเขาก็ฆ่าแกะปัสกา แล้วปุโรหิตก็เอาเลือดซึ่งรับมาจากมือเขาประพรม ส่วนคนเลวีถลกหนังสัตว์นั้น

¹¹They killed the Passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood which they received of their hand, and the Levites flayed them.

¹²แล้วเขาก็แยกส่วนที่เป็นเครื่องเผาบูชาไว้ต่างหากเพื่อแจกจ่ายได้ตามพวกต่างๆ ผู้เป็นประชาชนที่แบ่งเป็นแต่ละครอบครัว ให้ถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ ดังที่บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือของโมเสส และเขากระทำกับวัวผู้ทำนองเดียวกัน

¹²They removed the burnt offerings, that they might give them according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of the children of the people, to offer to Yahweh, as it is written in the book of Moses. So they did with the cattle.

¹³และเขาก็ปิ้งแกะปัสกาด้วยไฟตามกฎ และเขาทั้งหลายต้มเครื่องบูชาบริสุทธิ์อื่นๆในหม้อ ในหม้อขนาดใหญ่ และในกระทะ และนำไปให้ประชาชนทั้งปวงโดยเร็ว

¹³They roasted the Passover with fire according to the ordinance: and the holy offerings boiled they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and carried them quickly to all the children of the people.

¹⁴ภายหลังเขาทั้งหลายจึงเตรียมสำหรับตนเองและสำหรับปุโรหิต เพราะว่าปุโรหิตลูกหลานของอาโรนติดธุระในการถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาและส่วนไขมันจนกลางคืน คนเลวีจึงเตรียมเพื่อตนเองและเพื่อปุโรหิตลูกหลานของอาโรน

¹⁴Afterward they prepared for themselves, and for the priests, because the priests the sons of Aaron were busy with offering the burnt offerings and the fat until night: therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.

¹⁵บรรดานักร้องซึ่งเป็นลูกหลานของอาสาฟอยู่ประจำที่ของตน ตามบัญชาของดาวิด อาสาฟ และเฮมาน กับเยดูธูนผู้ทำนายของกษัตริย์ และคนเฝ้าประตูก็อยู่ประจำทุกประตูเขา ไม่จำเป็นละงานหน้าที่ของเขา เพราะคนเลวีพี่น้องของเขาได้เตรียมไว้ให้เขา

¹⁵The singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the porters were at every gate: they didn’t need to depart from their service; for their brothers the Levites prepared for them.

¹⁶เขาจึงเตรียมการปรนนิบัติทั้งสิ้นแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ในวันเดียวนั้นเอง เพื่อจะถือเทศกาลปัสกา และถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาบนแท่นบูชาของพระเยโฮวาห์ ตามพระบัญชาของกษัตริย์โยสิยาห์

¹⁶So all the service of Yahweh was prepared the same day, to keep the Passover, and to offer burnt offerings on the altar of Yahweh, according to the commandment of king Josiah.

¹⁷และประชาชนอิสราเอลผู้อยู่ที่นั่นได้ถือเทศกาลปัสกาเวลานั้น และเทศกาลกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อเจ็ดวัน

¹⁷The children of Israel who were present kept the Passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

¹⁸ตั้งแต่สมัยของซามูเอลผู้พยากรณ์ ไม่มีเทศกาลปัสกาเหมือนอย่างนี้ได้ถือกันมาในอิสราเอล ไม่มีกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลสักองค์หนึ่งที่ถือเทศกาลปัสกาอย่างที่โยสิยาห์ได้ทรงถือนี้ และบรรดาปุโรหิตกับคนเลวี และยูดาห์กับอิสราเอลทั้งปวงซึ่งอยู่พร้อมกัน ทั้งชาวเยรูซาเล็ม

¹⁸There was no Passover like that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did any of the kings of Israel keep such a Passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

¹⁹เขาถือเทศกาลปัสกานี้ในปีที่สิบแปดแห่งรัชกาลโยสิยาห์

¹⁹In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this Passover kept.

²⁰หลังจากสิ่งทั้งปวงเหล่านี้เมื่อโยสิยาห์ได้เตรียมพระวิหารไว้ เนโคกษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ได้เสด็จขึ้นไปสู้รบที่คารคะมีชที่แม่น้ำยูเฟรตีส และโยสิยาห์เสด็จออกไปสู้รบกับพระองค์

²⁰After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Neco king of Egypt went up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

²¹แต่พระองค์รับสั่งให้ทูตไปทูลโยสิยาห์ว่า "กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์เอ๋ย เรากับท่านเกี่ยวข้องกันอย่างไร วันนี้เรามิได้มาต่อสู้ท่านแต่ต่อสู้กับวงศ์วานซึ่งเราทำสงครามด้วย เพราะพระเจ้าทรงบัญชาเราให้เร่งรีบ ขอยับยั้งการขัดขวางพระเจ้าผู้ทรงสถิตกับเรา เกรงว่าพระองค์จะทรงทำลายท่านเสีย"

²¹But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, “What have I to do with you, you king of Judah? I come not against you this day, but against the house with which I have war. God has commanded me to make haste. Beware that it is God who is with me, that he not destroy you.”

²²ถึงกระนั้นก็ดีโยสิยาห์มิได้หันพระพักตร์ไปจากพระองค์ แต่ทรงปลอมพระองค์ เพื่อจะสู้รบกับพระองค์ มิได้ฟังพระดำรัสของเนโคที่ออกจากพระโอษฐ์ของพระเจ้า แต่เข้ารบ ณ ที่หุบเขาเมกิดโด

²²Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and didn’t listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

²³และนักธนูได้ยิงกษัตริย์โยสิยาห์ และกษัตริย์ตรัสกับข้าราชการของพระองค์ว่า "จงพาเราไปเสียเถอะ เพราะเราถูกบาดเจ็บสาหัสแล้ว"

²³The archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, “Take me away, because I am seriously wounded!”

²⁴ข้าราชการของพระองค์จึงนำพระองค์ออกจากรถรบ และให้พระองค์ประทับในรถรบคันที่สองของพระองค์ และนำพระองค์มาเยรูซาเล็มและพระองค์ก็สิ้นพระชนม์ และเขาฝังไว้ในอุโมงค์แห่งบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ ยูดาห์และเยรูซาเล็มทั้งปวงได้ไว้ทุกข์ให้โยสิยาห์

²⁴So his servants took him out of the chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had, and brought him to Jerusalem; and he died, and was buried in the tombs of his fathers. All Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

²⁵เยเรมีย์กล่าวคำคร่ำครวญถวายโยสิยาห์ด้วย และบรรดานักร้องชายและนักร้องหญิงทั้งปวงกล่าวถึงโยสิยาห์ในคำคร่ำครวญของเขาจนทุกวันนี้ เขาทั้งหลายกระทำเรื่องนี้ให้เป็นกฎในอิสราเอล ดูเถิด มีบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือคร่ำครวญ

²⁵Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day; and they made them an ordinance in Israel: and behold, they are written in the lamentations.

²⁶ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของโยสิยาห์ และความดีของพระองค์ ตามที่บันทึกไว้ในพระราชบัญญัติของพระเยโฮวาห์

²⁶Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his good deeds, according to that which is written in the law of Yahweh,

²⁷และพระราชกิจของพระองค์ ตั้งแต่ต้นจนปลาย ดูเถิด มีบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือของกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลและยูดาห์

²⁷and his acts, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
