¹Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father’s place in Jerusalem.

²เมื่อเยโฮอาหาสเริ่มครอบครองมีพระชนมายุยี่สิบสามพรรษา และพระองค์ทรงครอบครองในเยรูซาเล็มสามเดือน

²Joahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

³แล้วกษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ทรงถอดพระองค์ในเยรูซาเล็ม และกำหนดให้แผ่นดินนั้นถวายบรรณาการเป็นเงินหนึ่งร้อยตะลันต์ และทองคำหนึ่งตะลันต์

³The king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem, and fined the land one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

⁴และกษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์ตั้งให้เอลียาคิมพระอนุชาของพระองค์เป็นกษัตริย์เหนือยูดาห์และเยรูซาเล็ม และทรงเปลี่ยนพระนามของพระองค์ใหม่ว่า เยโฮยาคิม แต่เนโคทรงจับเยโฮอาหาสพระเชษฐานำไปยังอียิปต์

⁴The king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. Neco took Joahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

⁵เมื่อเยโฮยาคิมเริ่มครองราชย์นั้นทรงมีพระชนมายุยี่สิบห้าพรรษา และพระองค์ทรงครองราชย์ในเยรูซาเล็มสิบเอ็ดปี พระองค์ทรงกระทำความชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์

⁵Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh his God.

⁶เนบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลนเสด็จขึ้นมาต่อสู้กับพระองค์ และจำจองพระองค์ด้วยตรวนเพื่อพาพระองค์ไปยังบาบิโลน

⁶Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.

⁷เนบูคัดเนสซาร์ทรงนำเครื่องใช้ส่วนหนึ่งของพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ไปยังบาบิโลน และทรงเก็บไว้ในวิหารของพระองค์ในบาบิโลน

⁷Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of Yahweh to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

⁸ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของเยโฮยาคิม และการอันน่าสะอิดสะเอียนซึ่งพระองค์ทรงกระทำ และเหตุการณ์อื่นๆซึ่งเกี่ยวกับพระองค์ ดูเถิด สิ่งเหล่านี้ก็ถูกบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือของกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลและยูดาห์ และเยโฮยาคีนโอรสของพระองค์ได้ครองราชย์แทนพระองค์

⁸Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.

⁹เมื่อเยโฮยาคีนเริ่มครองราชย์นั้นทรงมีพระชนมายุสิบแปดพรรษา และพระองค์ทรงครองราชย์ในเยรูซาเล็มสามเดือนกับสิบวัน พระองค์ทรงกระทำความชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์

⁹Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh.

¹⁰พอถึงสิ้นปีแล้วกษัตริย์เนบูคัดเนสซาร์ทรงใช้ให้นำพระองค์มายังบาบิโลน พร้อมกับเครื่องใช้ประเสริฐแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ และตั้งให้เศเดคียาห์ปิตุลาของพระองค์เป็นกษัตริย์เหนือยูดาห์และเยรูซาเล็ม

¹⁰At the return of the year king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of Yahweh, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

¹¹เมื่อเศเดคียาห์เริ่มครอบครองมีพระชนมายุยี่สิบเอ็ดพรรษา และพระองค์ทรงครอบครองในเยรูซาเล็มสิบเอ็ดปี

¹¹Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem:

¹²พระองค์ทรงกระทำความชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์ พระองค์มิได้ถ่อมพระองค์ลงต่อหน้าเยเรมีย์ผู้พยากรณ์ ผู้กล่าวจากพระโอษฐ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์

¹²and he did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh his God; he didn’t humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of Yahweh.

¹³พระองค์ทรงกบฏเช่นกันต่อกษัตริย์เนบูคัดเนสซาร์ ผู้ซึ่งทรงให้พระองค์ปฏิญาณในพระนามของพระเจ้า พระองค์ทรงแข็งพระศอของพระองค์ ทำพระทัยให้กระด้าง ไม่หันไปหาพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล

¹³He also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

¹⁴ยิ่งกว่านั้นบรรดาปุโรหิตใหญ่และประชาชนก็ทำการละเมิดอย่างยิ่งโดยการติดตามบรรดาสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนของประชาชาติ และเขาทั้งหลายกระทำให้พระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ในเยรูซาเล็มนั้นเป็นมลทินไป

¹⁴Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the house of Yahweh which he had made holy in Jerusalem.

¹⁵พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งบรรพบุรุษของเขาทรงใช้ให้ทูตของพระองค์มาอย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง เพราะพระองค์ทรงมีพระทัยกรุณาต่อประชาชนของพระองค์และต่อที่ประทับของพระองค์

¹⁵Yahweh, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:

¹⁶แต่เขาทั้งหลายเยาะเย้ยทูตของพระเจ้า และดูหมิ่นพระวจนะของพระองค์ และด่าผู้พยากรณ์ของพระองค์ จนพระพิโรธของพระเยโฮวาห์พลุ่งขึ้นต่อประชาชนของพระองค์จนแก้ไม่ไหว

¹⁶but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of Yahweh arose against his people, until there was no remedy.

¹⁷พระองค์จึงทรงนำกษัตริย์แห่งคนเคลเดียมาต่อสู้เขาทั้งหลาย ผู้ซึ่งฆ่าชายหนุ่มของเขาด้วยดาบในพระนิเวศอันเป็นสถานบริสุทธิ์ของเขา และไม่มีความกรุณาแก่ชายหนุ่มหรือหญิงพรหมจารี คนแก่หรือคนชรา พระองค์ทรงมอบทั้งหมดไว้ในมือของเขา

¹⁷Therefore he brought on them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or gray-headed: he gave them all into his hand.

¹⁸และเครื่องใช้ทั้งสิ้นของพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า ทั้งใหญ่และเล็ก และทรัพย์สมบัติแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ และทรัพย์สมบัติแห่งกษัตริย์และแห่งเจ้านายของพระองค์ สิ่งทั้งหมดนี้พระองค์ทรงนำมายังบาบิโลน

¹⁸All the vessels of God’s house, great and small, and the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon.

¹⁹และเขาเผาพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า และพังกำแพงเยรูซาเล็มลง และเอาไฟเผาวังของเมืองนั้นเสียสิ้น และทำลายเครื่องใช้ประเสริฐทั้งปวงในนั้น

¹⁹They burnt God’s house, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels of it.

²⁰และบรรดาผู้ที่รอดจากดาบนั้นพระองค์ทรงให้กวาดไปเป็นเชลยยังบาบิโลน และเขาทั้งหลายเป็นผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์และแก่ราชวงศ์ของพระองค์ จนถึงการสถาปนาราชอาณาจักรเปอร์เซีย

²⁰He carried those who had escaped from the sword away to Babylon; and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:

²¹เพื่อให้สำเร็จตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ผ่านปากของเยเรมีย์ จนกว่าแผ่นดินจะได้ชื่นชมกับปีสะบาโตของมัน เพราะตราบเท่าที่มันยังว่างเปล่าอยู่ มันก็รักษาสะบาโต เพื่อจะให้ครบตามกำหนดเจ็ดสิบปี

²¹to fulfill the word of Yahweh by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. As long as it lay desolate it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

²²Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Yahweh by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

²³"ไซรัสกษัตริย์แห่งเปอร์เซียตรัสดังนี้ว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของฟ้าสวรรค์ได้พระราชทานบรรดาราชอาณาจักรแห่งแผ่นดินโลกแก่เรา และพระองค์ทรงกำชับให้เราสร้างพระนิเวศให้พระองค์ที่เยรูซาเล็ม ซึ่งอยู่ในยูดาห์ มีผู้ใดในท่ามกลางท่านทั้งหลายที่เป็นประชาชนของพระองค์ ขอพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเขาสถิตกับเขา ขอให้เขาขึ้นไปเถิด'"

²³“Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘Yahweh, the God of heaven, has given all the kingdoms of the earth to me; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, Yahweh his God be with him, and let him go up.’”
