1เมื่อพระราชินีแห่งเชบาทรงได้ยินกิตติศัพท์แห่งซาโลมอน พระนางก็เสด็จมายังเยรูซาเล็ม เพื่อทดลองพระองค์ด้วยปัญหายุ่งยากต่างๆ พร้อมด้วยข้าราชบริพารมากมาย กับอูฐบรรทุกเครื่องเทศและทองคำเป็นอันมาก และเพชรพลอยต่างๆ และเมื่อพระนางเสด็จมาถึงซาโลมอนแล้ว พระนางทูลเรื่องในใจของพระนางทุกประการ
1When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great train, and camels that bore spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him of all that was in her heart.
2และซาโลมอนตรัสตอบปัญหาของพระนางทั้งสิ้น ไม่มีสิ่งใดที่ซ่อนเร้นอยู่พ้นซาโลมอนซึ่งพระองค์จะทรงอธิบายแก่พระนางไม่ได้
2Solomon told her all her questions; and there was not anything hidden from Solomon which he didn’t tell her.
3และเมื่อพระราชินีแห่งเชบาทรงเห็นพระสติปัญญาของซาโลมอนและพระราชวังที่พระองค์ทรงสร้าง
3When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
4ทั้งอาหารที่โต๊ะเสวย กับบรรดาข้าราชการประจำอยู่ และมหาดเล็กที่คอยรับใช้อยู่ตลอด จนเครื่องแต่งกาย และพนักงานเชิญถ้วยของพระองค์ เครื่องแต่งกาย และการเสด็จขึ้นไปยังพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ พระทัยของพระนางก็สลดลงทีเดียว
4and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their clothing, his cup bearers also, and their clothing, and his ascent by which he went up to the house of Yahweh; there was no more spirit in her.
5พระนางทูลกษัตริย์ว่า "ข่าวคราวซึ่งหม่อมฉันได้ยินในประเทศของหม่อมฉัน ถึงพระราชกิจและพระสติปัญญาของพระองค์เป็นความจริง
5She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts, and of your wisdom.
6แต่หม่อมฉันมิได้เชื่อถ้อยคำนั้น จนหม่อมฉันมาเฝ้า และตาของหม่อมฉันได้เห็นเอง และดูเถิด ที่เขาบอกแก่หม่อมฉันก็ไม่ถึงครึ่งหนึ่งแห่งพระสติปัญญาใหญ่ยิ่งของพระองค์ พระองค์เลิศล้ำยิ่งไปกว่าข่าวคราวที่หม่อมฉันได้ยิน
6However I didn’t believe their words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it; and behold, the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me: you exceed the fame that I heard.
7บรรดาคนของพระองค์ก็เป็นสุข บรรดาข้าราชการเหล่านี้ของพระองค์ ผู้อยู่งานประจำต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์และฟังพระสติปัญญาของพระองค์ก็เป็นสุข
7Happy are your men, and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you, and hear your wisdom.
8สาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์ ผู้ทรงพอพระทัยในพระองค์และทรงแต่งตั้งพระองค์ไว้บนบัลลังก์ เป็นกษัตริย์เพื่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของพระองค์ เพราะพระเจ้าของพระองค์ทรงรักอิสราเอลและจะสถาปนาเขาไว้เป็นนิตย์ พระองค์จึงได้ทรงแต่งตั้งให้พระองค์เป็นกษัตริย์เหนือเขาทั้งหลาย เพื่อพระองค์จะทรงอำนายความยุติธรรมและความเที่ยงธรรม"
8Blessed be Yahweh your God, who delighted in you, to set you on his throne, to be king for Yahweh your God: because your God loved Israel, to establish them forever, therefore made he you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.”
9แล้วพระนางก็ถวายทองคำหนึ่งร้อยยี่สิบตะลันต์แก่กษัตริย์ ทั้งเครื่องเทศเป็นจำนวนมาก และเพชรพลอยต่างๆ ไม่มีเครื่องเทศใดๆเหมือนอย่างที่พระราชินีแห่งเมืองเชบาถวายแด่กษัตริย์ซาโลมอน
9She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
10ยิ่งกว่านั้นอีก ข้าราชการของหุรามและข้าราชการของซาโลมอนผู้นำทองคำมาจากโอฟีร์ ได้นำไม้ประดู่และเพชรพลอยต่างๆมา
10The servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
11แล้วกษัตริย์ทรงใช้ไม้ประดู่ทำขั้นบันไดพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์และพระราชวัง ทั้งทำพิณเขาคู่ และพิณใหญ่ให้แก่นักร้อง ซึ่งไม่เคยเห็นมีอย่างนั้นแต่ก่อนในแผ่นดินยูดาห์
11The king made of the algum trees terraces for the house of Yahweh, and for the king’s house, and harps and stringed instruments for the singers: and there were none like these seen before in the land of Judah.
12กษัตริย์ซาโลมอนพระราชทานทุกอย่างแก่พระราชินีแห่งเชบาตามที่พระนางทรงมีพระประสงค์ ไม่ว่าพระนางจะทูลขอสิ่งใด นอกเหนือไปจากสิ่งที่พระนางนำมาถวายกษัตริย์ ดังนั้นพระนางก็เสด็จกลับไปยังแผ่นดินของพระนาง พร้อมกับข้าราชการของพระนาง
12King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, besides that which she had brought to the king. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.
13น้ำหนักทองคำที่นำมาส่งซาโลมอนในปีหนึ่งนั้น เป็นทองคำหกร้อยหกสิบหกตะลันต์
13Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,
14นอกเหนือจากทองคำซึ่งนักการค้าและพ่อค้าได้นำมา และกษัตริย์ทั้งปวงของประเทศอาระเบีย และบรรดาเจ้าเมืองแห่งแผ่นดินได้นำทองคำและเงินมายังซาโลมอน
14besides that which the traders and merchants brought: and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
15กษัตริย์ซาโลมอนทรงสร้างโล่ใหญ่สองร้อยอันด้วยทองคำทุบ โล่อันหนึ่งใช้ทองคำทุบหกร้อยเชเขล
15King Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one buckler.
16และพระองค์ทรงสร้างโล่สามร้อยอันด้วยทองคำทุบ โล่อันหนึ่งใช้ทองคำสามร้อยเชเขล และกษัตริย์ก็ทรงเก็บโล่ไว้ในพระตำหนักพนาเลบานอน
16He made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
17กษัตริย์ทรงกระทำพระที่นั่งงาช้างขนาดใหญ่ด้วย และทรงบุด้วยทองคำบริสุทธิ์
17Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
18พระที่นั่งนั้นมีบันไดหกขั้น กับที่รองพระบาททำด้วยทองคำ ซึ่งติดอยู่กับพระที่นั่ง ทั้งสองข้างของพระที่นั่งมีที่วางพระหัตถ์ และสิงโตสองตัวยืนอยู่ข้างๆที่วางพระหัตถ์
18And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the stays.
19มีสิงโตอีกสิบสองตัวยืนอยู่ที่นั่น บนบันไดหกขั้นทั้งสองข้าง เขาไม่เคยทำในราชอาณาจักรใดๆเหมือนอย่างนี้
19Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps: there was nothing like it made in any kingdom.
20ภาชนะทั้งสิ้นสำหรับเครื่องดื่มของกษัตริย์ซาโลมอนทำด้วยทองคำ และภาชนะทั้งสิ้นของพระตำหนักพนาเลบานอนทำด้วยทองคำบริสุทธิ์ ไม่มีที่ทำด้วยเงินเลย เงินนั้นถือว่าเป็นของไม่มีค่าอะไรในสมัยของซาโลมอน
20All king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: silver was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
21เพราะเรือของกษัตริย์แล่นไปยังทารชิชพร้อมกับข้าราชการของหุราม กำปั่นทารชิชนำทองคำ เงิน งาช้าง ลิง และนกยูง มาสามปีต่อครั้ง
21For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram; once every three years came the ships of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
22ดังนั้นแหละ กษัตริย์ซาโลมอนจึงได้เปรียบกว่ากษัตริย์อื่นๆแห่งแผ่นดินโลกในเรื่องสมบัติและสติปัญญา
22So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23และกษัตริย์ทั้งสิ้นแห่งแผ่นดินโลกก็แสวงหาที่จะเข้าเฝ้าซาโลมอน เพื่อจะฟังพระสติปัญญาซึ่งพระเจ้าพระราชทานไว้ในใจของท่าน
23All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
24ทุกคนก็นำเครื่องบรรณาการของเขามา เป็นเครื่องทำด้วยเงิน เครื่องทำด้วยทองคำ และเครื่องแต่งกาย เครื่องอาวุธ เครื่องเทศ ม้า และล่อ ตามจำนวนกำหนดทุกๆปี
24They brought every man his tribute, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and clothing, armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
25และซาโลมอนทรงมีโรงช่องม้าสี่พันช่องสำหรับม้าและรถรบ และมีพลม้าหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงให้ประจำอยู่ในหัวเมืองรถรบและอยู่กับกษัตริย์ที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม
25Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he stationed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
26และพระองค์ทรงครอบครองเหนือกษัตริย์ทั้งปวงตั้งแต่แม่น้ำถึงแผ่นดินของคนฟีลิสเตีย และถึงพรมแดนของอียิปต์
26He ruled over all the kings from the River even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
27และกษัตริย์ทรงกระทำให้เงินนั้นเป็นของสามัญในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มเหมือนก้อนหิน และกระทำให้มีไม้สนสีดาร์มากมายเหมือนไม้มะเดื่อแห่งหุบเขา
27The king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars to be as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
28และเขานำม้าเข้ามาถวายซาโลมอนจากอียิปต์ และจากแผ่นดินทั้งปวง
28They brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
29ส่วนพระราชกิจนอกนั้นของซาโลมอน ตั้งแต่ต้นจนปลาย มิได้บันทึกไว้ในหนังสือของนาธันผู้พยากรณ์ และในคำพยากรณ์ของอาหิยาห์ชาวชีโลห์ และในนิมิตของอิดโดผู้ทำนายเกี่ยวกับเยโรโบอัมบุตรชายเนบัทหรือ
29Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, aren’t they written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
30ซาโลมอนทรงครอบครองในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มเหนืออิสราเอลทั้งปวงสี่สิบปี
30Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
31และซาโลมอนล่วงหลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของพระองค์ และเขาฝังพระศพไว้ในนครดาวิดราชบิดาของพระองค์ และเรโหโบอัมโอรสของพระองค์ครอบครองแทนพระองค์
31Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.
