1และโมเสสก็ขึ้นไปจากราบโมอับถึงภูเขาเนโบ ถึงยอดเขาปิสกาห์ ซึ่งอยู่ตรงข้ามเมืองเยรีโค และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสำแดงให้ท่านเห็นแผ่นดินนั้นทั้งหมด คือกิเลอาดจนถึงดาน
1Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead, to Dan,
2ทั้งนัฟทาลีทั่วหมด เห็นแผ่นดินเอฟราอิม และมนัสเสห์ ทั่วแผ่นดินยูดาห์ ไกลไปถึงทะเลที่อยู่ไกลออกไป
2and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the hinder sea,
3ทั้งทางใต้และที่ลุ่มในหุบเขาแห่งเมืองเยรีโค เมืองต้นอินทผลัม ไกลไปจนถึงโศอาร์
3and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.
4และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับท่านว่า "นี่คือแผ่นดินซึ่งเราได้ปฏิญาณต่ออับราฮัม ต่ออิสอัค และต่อยาโคบ ว่า `เราจะให้แก่เชื้อสายของเจ้า' เราให้เจ้าเห็นกับตา แต่เจ้าจะไม่ได้เข้าไปในแผ่นดินนั้น"
4Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”
5เหตุฉะนั้นโมเสสผู้รับใช้ของพระเยโฮวาห์จึงสิ้นชีวิตที่นั่นในแผ่นดินโมอับ ตามพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์
5So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Yahweh.
6และพระองค์ทรงฝังท่านไว้ในหุบเขาในแผ่นดินโมอับ ตรงข้ามเบธเปโอร์ จนถึงทุกวันนี้หามีผู้ใดรู้จักที่ฝังศพของท่านไม่
6He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth Peor: but no man knows of his tomb to this day.
7เมื่อโมเสสสิ้นชีวิตนั้นท่านมีอายุหนึ่งร้อยยี่สิบปี นัยน์ตาของท่านมิได้มัวไป หรือกำลังของท่านก็ไม่ถอย
7Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
8และคนอิสราเอลร้องไห้ถึงโมเสสที่ราบโมอับสามสิบวัน แล้ววันที่ร้องไห้ไว้ทุกข์ถึงโมเสสก็สิ้นลง
8The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.
9โยชูวาบุตรชายนูนมีจิตใจอันประกอบด้วยสติปัญญา เพราะโมเสสได้เอามือของท่านวางบนเขา ดังนั้นประชาชนอิสราเอลจึงเชื่อฟังเขา และได้กระทำดังที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบัญชาโมเสสไว้
9Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him: and the children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
10ตั้งแต่วันนั้นมาก็ไม่มีผู้พยากรณ์คนใดเกิดขึ้นในอิสราเอลเสมอโมเสส ผู้ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงรู้จักหน้าต่อหน้า
10There has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,
11ไม่มีผู้ใดเสมอเหมือนท่านในเรื่องหมายสำคัญและการมหัศจรรย์ ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงใช้ท่านให้กระทำในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ต่อฟาโรห์และต่อบรรดาข้าราชบริพารของฟาโรห์ และต่อแผ่นดินของท่านทั้งสิ้น
11in all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12และในเรื่องอำนาจยิ่งใหญ่และกิจการอันน่าเกรงกลัวและใหญ่โตทั้งสิ้นซึ่งโมเสสกระทำในสายตาของคนอิสราเอลทั้งปวง
12and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses worked in the sight of all Israel.
