1พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า "เราจะนำภัยพิบัติมาสู่ฟาโรห์และอียิปต์อีกอย่างเดียว หลังจากนั้นเขาจะปล่อยพวกเจ้าไปจากที่นี่ เมื่อเขาให้พวกเจ้าไปคราวนี้ เขาจะขับไล่พวกเจ้าออกไปทีเดียว
1Yahweh said to Moses, “Yet one plague more will I bring on Pharaoh, and on Egypt; afterwards he will let you go. When he lets you go, he will surely thrust you out altogether.
2บัดนี้เจ้าจงสั่งให้ประชาชนทั้งปวง ให้ผู้ชายผู้หญิงทุกคน ขอเครื่องเงินเครื่องทองจากเพื่อนบ้านของตน"
2Speak now in the ears of the people, and let them ask every man of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.”
3พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบันดาลให้ประชาชนเป็นที่โปรดปรานในสายตาของชาวอียิปต์ นอกจากนี้บุรุษผู้นั้นคือโมเสสก็ยิ่งใหญ่มากในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ทั้งในสายตาข้าราชการของฟาโรห์และในสายตาพลเมืองทั้งปวง
3Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
4โมเสสประกาศว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า `เวลาประมาณเที่ยงคืน เราจะออกไปท่ามกลางอียิปต์
4Moses said, “This is what Yahweh says: ‘About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt,
5และพวกลูกหัวปีทั้งหมดในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ตั้งแต่ราชบุตรหัวปีของฟาโรห์ ผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่ง จนถึงบุตรหัวปีของทาสหญิง ซึ่งอยู่หลังโม่แป้ง ทั้งลูกหัวปีของสัตว์เดียรัจฉานด้วยจะต้องตาย
5and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the female servant who is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of livestock.
6แล้วจะมีการพิลาปร้องไห้ทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์อย่างที่ไม่เคยมีมาก่อน และต่อไปภายหน้าก็จะไม่มีอีกเลย
6There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there has not been, nor shall be any more.
7ฝ่ายคนหรือสัตว์ของชนชาติอิสราเอลทั้งปวงจะไม่มีแม้แต่เสียงสุนัขขู่ เพื่อให้ทราบว่าพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกระทำต่อชาวอียิปต์ต่างกับชนชาติอิสราเอล
7But against any of the children of Israel a dog won’t even bark or move its tongue, against man or animal; that you may know that Yahweh makes a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.
8ข้าราชการของพระองค์จะลงมาหาเรากราบลงต่อหน้าเรากล่าวว่า "ขอท่านกับพรรคพวกไปเสียจากที่นี่เถิด" หลังจากนั้นเราก็จะออกไป'" โมเสสทูลลาฟาโรห์ไปด้วยความโกรธยิ่งนัก
8All these your servants shall come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, “Get out, with all the people who follow you”; and after that I will go out.’” He went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.
9แล้วพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสตอบโมเสสว่า "ฟาโรห์จะไม่เชื่อฟังเจ้า เพื่อมหัศจรรย์ของเราจะได้เพิ่มขึ้นอีกในแผ่นดินอียิปต์"
9Yahweh said to Moses, “Pharaoh won’t listen to you, that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
10โมเสสกับอาโรนก็ได้กระทำบรรดามหัศจรรย์เหล่านั้นต่อพระพักตร์ฟาโรห์ และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกระทำให้พระทัยของฟาโรห์แข็งกระด้างไป ท่านจึงไม่ยอมปล่อยชนชาติอิสราเอลให้ออกไปจากแผ่นดินของท่าน
10Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, and Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go out of his land.
