¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า "จงสกัดศิลาอีกสองแผ่นเหมือนเดิมแล้วเราจะจารึกคำเหมือนในแผ่นเก่าที่เจ้าทำแตกนั้นให้

¹Yahweh said to Moses, “Chisel two stone tablets like the first: and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

²จงเตรียมให้พร้อมเวลาเช้า แล้วจงขึ้นมาบนภูเขาซีนายแต่เช้า จงคอยเฝ้าเราบนยอดภูเขานั้น

²Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain.

³อย่าให้ผู้ใดขึ้นมาด้วย และอย่าให้ผู้ใดมาอยู่ตลอดทั่วทั้งภูเขา อย่าให้ฝูงแพะแกะ ฝูงวัวกินหญ้าอยู่หน้าภูเขานี้เลย"

³No one shall come up with you; neither let anyone be seen throughout all the mountain; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mountain.”

⁴ฝ่ายโมเสสจึงสกัดศิลาสองแผ่นเหมือนสองแผ่นแรก แล้วท่านก็ตื่นแต่เช้าขึ้นไปบนภูเขาซีนายตามรับสั่งของพระเยโฮวาห์ถือศิลาไปสองแผ่น

⁴He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets.

⁵ฝ่ายพระเยโฮวาห์เสด็จลงมาในเมฆ และโมเสสยืนอยู่กับพระองค์ที่นั่น และออกพระนามพระเยโฮวาห์

⁵Yahweh descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Yahweh.

⁶พระเยโฮวาห์เสด็จผ่านไปข้างหน้าท่าน ตรัสว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้า ผู้ทรงพระกรุณา ทรงกอปรด้วยพระคุณ ทรงกริ้วข้า และบริบูรณ์ด้วยความเมตตาและความจริง

⁶Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, “Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,

⁷ผู้ทรงสำแดงความเมตตาต่อมนุษย์กระทั่งพันชั่วอายุ ผู้ทรงโปรดยกโทษความชั่วช้า การละเมิดและบาปของเขาเสีย แต่จะทรงถือว่าไม่มีโทษก็หามิได้ และให้โทษเพราะความชั่วช้าของบิดาตกทอดไปถึงลูกหลานสามชั่วสี่ชั่วอายุคน"

⁷keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.”

⁸ฝ่ายโมเสสจึงรีบกราบลงที่พื้นดินนมัสการ

⁸Moses hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.

⁹แล้วทูลว่า "ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ถ้าแม้ข้าพระองค์ได้รับพระกรุณาในสายพระเนตรของพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์ทูลวิงวอนต่อพระองค์ ขอองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของข้าพระองค์โปรดเสด็จไปท่ามกลางพวกข้าพระองค์เพราะเป็นชนชาติคอแข็งดื้อดึง และขอทรงโปรดยกโทษความชั่วช้าและความบาปของพวกข้าพระองค์ และโปรดรับพวกข้าพระองค์เป็นมรดกของพระองค์ด้วย"

⁹He said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us; although this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

¹⁰ฝ่ายพระองค์ตรัสว่า "ดูเถิด เราจะทำพันธสัญญาไว้ เราจะทำการมหัศจรรย์ต่อหน้าชนชาติของเจ้าทุกคน ซึ่งไม่มีผู้ใดกระทำในประชาชาติใดทั่วพิภพ และประชาชนทั้งปวงซึ่งเจ้าอยู่ท่ามกลางเขานั้น จะเห็นกิจการของพระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะการซึ่งเราจะทำต่อเจ้านั้นจะเป็นสิ่งที่น่ากลัวยิ่งนัก

¹⁰He said, “Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of Yahweh; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.

¹¹จงถือตามคำซึ่งเราบัญชาเจ้าในวันนี้ ดูเถิด เราจะไล่คนอาโมไรต์ คนคานาอัน คนฮิตไทต์ คนเปริสซี คนฮีไวต์ และคนเยบุส ไปให้พ้นหน้าเจ้า

¹¹Observe that which I command you this day. Behold, I drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

¹²จงระวังตัวให้ดี อย่ากระทำพันธสัญญากับชาวเมืองซึ่งเจ้าจะไปถึงนั้น เกรงว่าจะเป็นบ่วงแร้วดักพวกเจ้า

¹²Be careful, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you:

¹³แต่เจ้าทั้งหลายจงทำลายแท่นบูชาและทุบเสาอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเขาให้แหลกละเอียด และโค่นเสารูปเคารพของเขาเสีย

¹³but you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and you shall cut down their Asherim;

¹⁴เจ้าอย่านมัสการพระอื่นเลย เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ทรงพระนามว่าหวงแหนเป็นพระเจ้าผู้ทรงหวงแหน

¹⁴for you shall worship no other god: for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

¹⁵เกรงว่าเจ้าจะทำพันธสัญญากับชาวเมืองนั้น และเมื่อเขาเล่นชู้กับพระของเขา และถวายสัตวบูชาแก่บรรดาพระนั้น เขาจะเชิญพวกเจ้าไปร่วมด้วย และพวกเจ้าจะไปกินของที่เขาถวายบูชานั้น

¹⁵“Don’t make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;

¹⁶เกรงว่าเจ้าจะรับบุตรสาวของเขามาเป็นภรรยาบุตรชายของเจ้า และบุตรสาวของเขานั้นจะไปเล่นชู้กับพระของเขา และชักชวนให้บุตรชายของเจ้าไปเล่นชู้กับพระนั้นด้วย

¹⁶and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters play the prostitute after their gods, and make your sons play the prostitute after their gods.

¹⁷เจ้าอย่าหล่อรูปพระไว้สำหรับตัวเองเลย

¹⁷“You shall make no cast idols for yourselves.

¹⁸เจ้าทั้งหลายจงถือเทศการกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อ จงกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อให้ครบเจ็ดวันตามกำหนดในเดือนอาบีบตามที่เราบัญชาเจ้า เพราะเจ้าออกจากอียิปต์ในเดือนอาบีบ

¹⁸“You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.

¹⁹ทุกสิ่งซึ่งออกจากครรภ์ครั้งแรกเป็นของเรา คือสัตว์ตัวผู้ทั้งหมดของเจ้า ลูกหัวปีของวัวและของแกะ

¹⁹“All that opens the womb is mine; and all your livestock that is male, the firstborn of cow and sheep.

²⁰ส่วนลูกลาหัวปีนั้นเจ้าจงนำลูกแกะมาไถ่ไว้ ถ้าแม้เจ้ามิได้ไถ่ก็จงหักคอมันเสีย บุตรชายหัวปีทั้งหลายของพวกเจ้านั้นจะต้องไถ่ไว้ด้วย อย่าให้ผู้ใดมาเฝ้าเรามือเปล่าเลย

²⁰The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. No one shall appear before me empty.

²¹เจ้าจงทำการงานในกำหนดหกวัน แต่วันที่เจ็ดจงพัก แม้ว่าในฤดูไถนาและฤดูเกี่ยวข้าวก็จงพัก

²¹“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.

²²จงถือเทศกาลสัปดาห์ คือเทศกาลเลี้ยงฉลองผลต้นฤดูเกี่ยวข้าวสาลี และถือเทศกาลเลี้ยงฉลองการเก็บผลิตผลในปลายปี

²²“You shall observe the feast of weeks with the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of harvest at the year’s end.

²³บรรดาผู้ชายทั้งหลายของพวกเจ้าต้องมาประชุมกันต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้า คือพระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลปีละสามครั้ง

²³Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel.

²⁴เพราะเราจะขับไล่ชนชาติทั้งหลายออกไปให้พ้นหน้าพวกเจ้าและจะขยายเขตแดนเมืองของเจ้าให้กว้างออกไป เมื่อพวกเจ้าจะขึ้นไปเฝ้าพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้าปีละสามครั้งนั้น จะไม่มีใครอยากได้แผ่นดินของเจ้าเลย

²⁴For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before Yahweh, your God, three times in the year.

²⁵อย่าถวายเลือดบูชาพร้อมกับขนมปังมีเชื้อ และเครื่องบูชาอันเกี่ยวกับเทศกาลเลี้ยงปัสกานั้น อย่าให้เหลือไว้จนถึงวันรุ่งขึ้น

²⁵“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.

²⁶จงคัดพืชผลแรกจากผลรุ่นแรกในไร่นามาถวายในพระนิเวศพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า อย่าต้มเนื้อลูกแพะด้วยน้ำนมแม่ของมันเลย"

²⁶“You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of Yahweh your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

²⁷พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า "คำเหล่านี้จงเขียนไว้ เพราะเราทำพันธสัญญาไว้กับเจ้าและพวกอิสราเอลตามข้อความเหล่านี้แล้ว"

²⁷Yahweh said to Moses, “Write you these words: for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

²⁸ฝ่ายโมเสสเฝ้าพระเยโฮวาห์อยู่ที่นั่นสี่สิบวันสี่สิบคืน มิได้รับประทานอาหารหรือน้ำเลย และท่านจารึกคำพันธสัญญาไว้ที่แผ่นศิลา คือพระบัญญัติสิบประการ

²⁸He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

²⁹อยู่ต่อมาโมเสสได้ลงมาจากภูเขาซีนาย ถือแผ่นพระโอวาทสองแผ่นมาด้วย เวลาที่ลงมาจากภูเขานั้นโมเสสก็ไม่ทราบว่า ผิวหน้าของตนทอแสงเนื่องด้วยพระเจ้าทรงสนทนากับท่าน

²⁹It happened, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mountain, that Moses didn’t know that the skin of his face shone by reason of his speaking with him.

³⁰เมื่ออาโรนและคนอิสราเอลทั้งปวงมองดูโมเสส ดูเถิด ผิวหน้าของท่านทอแสง และเขาก็กลัวไม่กล้าเข้ามาใกล้ท่าน

³⁰When Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.

³¹ฝ่ายโมเสสเรียกเขามา แล้วอาโรนกับบรรดาประมุขของชุมนุมก็กลับมาหาโมเสสและท่านสนทนากับเขา

³¹Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them.

³²แล้วภายหลังคนอิสราเอลทั้งหลายเข้ามาใกล้ โมเสสจึงให้บัญญัติแก่เขาตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสแก่ท่านทุกข้อบนภูเขาซีนาย

³²Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them all of the commandments that Yahweh had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.

³³เมื่อท่านพูดจบแล้วก็ใช้ผ้าคลุมหน้าไว้

³³When Moses was done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.

³⁴แต่เมื่อไรที่โมเสสเข้าเฝ้าทูลต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ ท่านก็ปลดผ้านั้นออกเสีย จนกว่าจะกลับออกมา แล้วท่านออกมาเล่าให้คนอิสราเอลฟังตามที่ท่านรับพระบัญชามาแล้วนั้น

³⁴But when Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out; and he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel that which he was commanded.

³⁵และคนอิสราเอลดูหน้าของโมเสสคือเห็นผิวหน้าของโมเสสทอแสง ฝ่ายโมเสสใช้ผ้าคลุมหน้าไว้อีกทุกครั้ง จนกว่าจะเข้าไปทูลพระองค์

³⁵The children of Israel saw Moses’ face, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
