1พระเยโฮวาห์จึงตรัสกับโมเสสว่า "ดูซี เราได้ตั้งเจ้าไว้เป็นดังพระเจ้าต่อฟาโรห์ และอาโรนพี่ชายของเจ้าจะเป็นผู้พยากรณ์แทนเจ้า
1Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I have made you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.
2เจ้าจงบอกข้อความทั้งหมดที่เราสั่งเจ้า แล้วอาโรนพี่ชายของเจ้าจะบอกแก่ฟาโรห์ให้ปล่อยชนชาติอิสราเอลออกไปจากแผ่นดินของเขา
2You shall speak all that I command you; and Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
3เราจะทำให้ใจของฟาโรห์แข็งกระด้างไป และเราจะกระทำหมายสำคัญและมหัศจรรย์ของเราให้ทวีมากขึ้นในประเทศอียิปต์
3I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4แต่ฟาโรห์จะไม่เชื่อฟังเจ้า เพื่อเราจะยกมือของเราขึ้นเหนือประเทศอียิปต์ และจะพาพลโยธาของเรา และชนชาติอิสราเอลพลไพร่ของเราให้พ้นจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ด้วยการพิพากษาอันใหญ่หลวง
4But Pharaoh will not listen to you, and I will lay my hand on Egypt, and bring out my armies, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5และชาวอียิปต์จะรู้ว่าเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ เมื่อเราได้ยกมือขึ้นเหนืออียิปต์ และพาชนชาติอิสราเอลออกจากพวกเขา"
5The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh, when I stretch out my hand on Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”
6โมเสสและอาโรนก็กระทำตามนั้น คือกระทำตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบัญชาเขา
6Moses and Aaron did so. As Yahweh commanded them, so they did.
7เมื่อเขาทั้งสองไปทูลฟาโรห์นั้น โมเสสมีอายุแปดสิบปี และอาโรนมีอายุแปดสิบสามปี
7Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
8พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนว่า
8Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
9"เมื่อฟาโรห์สั่งเจ้าว่า `จงแสดงอัศจรรย์พิสูจน์งานของเจ้า' เจ้าจงพูดกับอาโรนว่า `เอาไม้เท้าของท่านโยนลงต่อหน้าฟาโรห์' และไม้เท้านั้นจะกลายเป็นงู"
9“When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Perform a miracle!’ then you shall tell Aaron, ‘Take your rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it become a serpent.’”
10โมเสสกับอาโรนจึงเข้าไปเฝ้าฟาโรห์ เขากระทำตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบัญชา อาโรนโยนไม้เท้าของท่านลงต่อหน้าฟาโรห์และต่อหน้าข้าราชการทั้งปวง ไม้เท้านั้นก็กลายเป็นงู
10Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, as Yahweh had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
11ฝ่ายฟาโรห์ก็เรียกพวกนักปราชญ์ และพวกนักวิทยากลมาด้วย พวกนักแสดงกลแห่งอียิปต์จึงทำได้เหมือนกันด้วยเล่ห์กลของเขา
11Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers. They also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same thing with their enchantments.
12ด้วยว่าเขาต่างคนต่างโยนไม้เท้าลง ไม้เท้าเหล่านั้นก็กลายเป็นงู แต่ไม้เท้าของอาโรนกลืนไม้เท้าของพวกเขาเสียทั้งหมด
12For they each cast down their rods, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
13และพระองค์ทรงทำให้พระทัยของฟาโรห์แข็งกระด้างเพื่อฟาโรห์หายอมเชื่อฟังเขาทั้งสองไม่ เหมือนที่พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสไว้แล้ว
13Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them; as Yahweh had spoken.
14พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า "ใจของฟาโรห์แข็งกระด้าง ไม่ยอมปล่อยให้พลไพร่ไป
14Yahweh said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is stubborn. He refuses to let the people go.
15เจ้าจงถือไม้เท้าที่กลายเป็นงูไปเฝ้าฟาโรห์ในเวลาเช้า ดูเถิด เขาไปที่แม่น้ำ เจ้าจงยืนคอยเขาอยู่ที่ริมฝั่งแม่น้ำ
15Go to Pharaoh in the morning. Behold, he goes out to the water; and you shall stand by the river’s bank to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent you shall take in your hand.
16และเจ้าจงกล่าวแก่เขาว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของชาวฮีบรูตรัสสั่งให้ข้าพระองค์มาเฝ้าโดยมีพระดำรัสว่า "จงปล่อยพลไพร่ของเราเพื่อเขาจะไปปรนนิบัติเราในถิ่นทุรกันดาร ดูเถิด จนบัดนี้เจ้าก็ยังหาได้เชื่อฟังไม่"
16You shall tell him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness:” and behold, until now you haven’t listened.
17พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ท่านจะทราบว่า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ด้วยอาศัยการกระทำดังนี้ ดูเถิด เราจะเอาไม้เท้าที่ถือไว้นั้นฟาดน้ำในแม่น้ำ น้ำนั้นจะกลายเป็นเลือด
17Thus says Yahweh, “In this you shall know that I am Yahweh. Behold, I will strike with the rod that is in my hand on the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18ปลาซึ่งอยู่ในแม่น้ำจะตาย และแม่น้ำจะเหม็น ชาวอียิปต์จะดื่มน้ำในแม่น้ำไม่ได้"'"
18The fish that are in the river shall die, and the river shall become foul; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink water from the river.”’”
19พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสสั่งโมเสสว่า "จงบอกอาโรนว่า `เอาไม้เท้าของท่านชี้ไปเหนือน้ำทั้งหลายแห่งอียิปต์ คือเหนือลำคลอง แม่น้ำ บึง และสระทั้งหมดของเขา เพื่อน้ำจะกลายเป็นเลือดและจะมีเลือดทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ทั้งที่อยู่ในภาชนะไม้และภาชนะหิน'"
19Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”
20โมเสสกับอาโรนก็กระทำตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์บัญชา คือท่านได้ยกไม้เท้าขึ้นตีน้ำในแม่น้ำต่อสายพระเนตรของฟาโรห์ และท่ามกลางสายตาของพวกข้าราชการของฟาโรห์ แล้วน้ำในแม่น้ำก็กลายเป็นเลือดทั้งสิ้น
20Moses and Aaron did so, as Yahweh commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21ปลาที่อยู่ในแม่น้ำก็ตาย แม่น้ำก็เหม็น และชาวอียิปต์ก็ดื่มน้ำในแม่น้ำนั้นไม่ได้ มีเลือดทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์
21The fish that were in the river died; and the river became foul, and the Egyptians couldn’t drink water from the river; and the blood was throughout all the land of Egypt.
22แต่พวกนักแสดงกลแห่งอียิปต์ก็กระทำได้เหมือนกันอาศัยเล่ห์กลของเขา และพระทัยของฟาโรห์ก็แข็งกระด้าง ฟาโรห์หาเชื่อฟังท่านทั้งสองไม่ เหมือนที่พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ตรัสไว้
22The magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their enchantments; and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them; as Yahweh had spoken.
23ฟาโรห์เสด็จกลับเข้าในวัง มิได้เอาพระทัยใส่ในเหตุการณ์ครั้งนี้เหมือนกัน
23Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he didn’t even take this to heart.
24ชาวอียิปต์ทั้งปวงก็พากันขุดหลุมตามริมแม่น้ำหาน้ำดื่ม เพราะเขาดื่มน้ำในแม่น้ำไม่ได้
24All the Egyptians dug around the river for water to drink; for they couldn’t drink of the water of the river.
25ครบกำหนดเจ็ดวันนับตั้งแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบันดาลให้แม่น้ำเป็นเลือด
25Seven days were fulfilled, after Yahweh had struck the river.
