1It happened in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer, king of Elam, and Tidal, king of Goiim,
2กษัตริย์เหล่านี้ได้ทำสงครามรบสู้กับเบรากษัตริย์เมืองโสโดม บิรชากษัตริย์เมืองโกโมราห์ ชินาบกษัตริย์เมืองอัดมาห์ เชเมเบอร์กษัตริย์เมืองเศโบยิม และกษัตริย์เมืองเบ-ลาคือเมืองโศอาร์
2that they made war with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah, Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar).
3บรรดากษัตริย์เหล่านี้รวมทัพกัน ณ ที่หุบเขาสิดดิมซึ่งคือทะเลเกลือ
3All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (the same is the Salt Sea).
4กษัตริย์เหล่านี้ยอมขึ้นแก่กษัตริย์เคโดร์ลาโอเมอร์สิบสองปี และในปีที่สิบสามกษัตริย์เหล่านี้ก็กบฏ
4Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year, they rebelled.

5In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer came, and the kings who were with him, and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

6and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to Elparan, which is by the wilderness.

7They returned, and came to En Mishpat (the same is Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that lived in Hazazon Tamar.
8และกษัตริย์เมืองโสโดม กษัตริย์เมืองโกโมราห์ กษัตริย์เมืองอัดมาห์ กษัตริย์เมืองเศโบยิม และกษัตริย์เมืองเบ-ลา (คือเมืองโศอาร์) ก็ออกไปทำสงครามรบสู้กับกษัตริย์เหล่านั้น ณ ที่หุบเขาสิดดิม
8The king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar) went out; and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim;

9against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
10ที่หุบเขาสิดดิมมีบ่อยางมะตอยเต็มไปหมด เหล่ากษัตริย์เมืองโสโดมและเมืองโกโมราห์ได้หนีมาและตกลงไปที่นั่น และส่วนผู้ที่เหลืออยู่ก็หนีไปยังภูเขา
10Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell there, and those who remained fled to the hills.
11กษัตริย์เหล่านั้นจึงเก็บบรรดาทรัพย์สิ่งของและเสบียงอาหารทั้งสิ้นของเมืองโสโดมและเมืองโกโมราห์แล้วก็ไป
11They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way.
12และได้จับโลทบุตรชายของน้องชายอับรามผู้ซึ่งอาศัยอยู่ในเมืองโสโดมและทรัพย์สิ่งของของเขาแล้วจากไป
12They took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13แล้วมีคนหนึ่งที่หนีมานั้นได้บอกให้อับรามชาวฮีบรู เพราะว่าท่านอาศัยอยู่ที่ราบของมัมเรคนอาโมไรต์ พี่น้องของเอชโคล์และพี่น้องของอาเนอร์ คนเหล่านี้เป็นพันธมิตรกับอับราม
13One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. Now he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner; and these were allies of Abram.
14เมื่ออับรามได้ยินว่าหลานชายของท่านถูกจับไปเป็นเชลย ท่านจึงนำคนชำนาญศึกที่เกิดในบ้านท่าน จำนวนสามร้อยสิบแปดคน และตามไปทันที่เมืองดาน
14When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led out his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.
15ท่านจึงแยกคนของท่าน ทั้งท่านและคนใช้ของท่านออกเป็นกองๆในกลางคืน ก็เข้าตีและไล่ตามจนถึงเมืองโฮบาห์ซึ่งอยู่ทางด้านซ้ายเมืองดามัสกัส
15He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16และท่านนำบรรดาทรัพย์สิ่งของกลับคืนมาหมด ทั้งนำโลทหลานชายของท่าน ทรัพย์สิ่งของของเขา ผู้หญิง และประชาชนกลับมาด้วย
16He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative, Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17หลังจากท่านกลับจากการฆ่ากษัตริย์เคโดร์ลาโอเมอร์และกษัตริย์ทั้งหลายที่ร่วมกำลังกันนั้นแล้ว กษัตริย์เมืองโสโดมก็ออกมารับท่าน ณ ที่หุบเขาชาเวห์ ซึ่งคือหุบเขาของกษัตริย์
17The king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18เมลคีเซเดคกษัตริย์เมืองซาเล็มได้นำขนมปังและน้ำองุ่นมาให้ และท่านก็เป็นปุโรหิตของพระเจ้าผู้สูงสุด
18Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.
19ท่านก็อวยพรแก่อับรามว่า "ขอให้พระเจ้าผู้สูงสุดผู้ทรงเป็นเจ้าของฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลกโปรดให้อับรามได้รับพรเถิด
19He blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth:
20และจงสรรเสริญแด่พระเจ้าผู้สูงสุดผู้ได้ทรงมอบศัตรูทั้งหลายของเจ้าไว้ในมือของเจ้า" และอับรามก็ยกหนึ่งในสิบจากข้าวของทั้งหมดถวายแก่ท่าน
20and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave him a tenth of all.
21กษัตริย์เมืองโสโดมตรัสแก่อับรามว่า "ขอคืนคนให้แก่เราและทรัพย์สิ่งของนั้นเจ้าจงเอาไปเถิด"
21The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people, and take the goods to yourself.”
22อับรามกล่าวแก่กษัตริย์เมืองโสโดมว่า "ข้าพเจ้าได้ยกมือของข้าพเจ้าต่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าผู้สูงสุด ผู้ทรงเป็นเจ้าของฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก
22Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to Yahweh, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
23ว่าข้าพเจ้าจะไม่รับเอาเส้นด้ายหรือสายรัดร้องเท้าและข้าพเจ้าจะไม่รับเอาสิ่งใดๆที่เป็นของท่าน เกรงว่าท่านจะกล่าวว่า `เราได้กระทำให้อับรามมั่งมี'
23that I will not take a thread nor a sandal strap nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’
24เว้นแต่สิ่งที่คนหนุ่มได้กินและส่วนของคนทั้งหลายซึ่งไปกับข้าพเจ้าคืออาเนอร์ เอชโคล์ และมัมเร ให้พวกเขารับส่วนของพวกเขาเถิด"
24I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.”
