¹ครั้นอยู่มาอีกสองปีเต็ม ฟาโรห์ก็สุบิน และดูเถิด พระองค์ทรงยืนอยู่ที่ริมฝั่งแม่น้ำ

¹It happened at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and behold, he stood by the river.

²ดูเถิด มีวัวเจ็ดตัวอ้วนพีงามน่าดูขึ้นมาจากแม่น้ำนั้น เลี้ยงหญ้าอยู่ในทุ่งหญ้าแห่งหนึ่ง

²Behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.

³แล้วดูเถิด มีวัวอีกเจ็ดตัวซูบผอมน่าเกลียดตามขึ้นมาจากแม่น้ำ มายืนอยู่กับวัวอื่นๆที่ริมฝั่งแม่น้ำ

³Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.

⁴วัวที่ซูบผอมน่าเกลียดก็กินวัวอ้วนพีงามน่าดูเจ็ดตัวนั้นเสีย แล้วฟาโรห์ก็ตื่นบรรทม

⁴The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.

⁵พระองค์ก็บรรทมหลับไปและสุบินครั้งที่สอง และดูเถิด ต้นข้าวต้นเดียวมีรวงเจ็ดรวงเป็นข้าวเมล็ดเต่งงามดี

⁵He slept and dreamed a second time: and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, healthy and good.

⁶แล้วดูเถิด มีรวงข้าวเจ็ดรวงงอกขึ้นมาภายหลัง เป็นข้าวลีบและเกรียมเพราะลมตะวันออก

⁶Behold, seven heads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

⁷รวงข้าวลีบเจ็ดรวงนั้นได้กลืนกินรวงข้าวเมล็ดเต่งงามดีเจ็ดรวงนั้นเสีย แล้วฟาโรห์ก็ตื่นบรรทม และดูเถิด รู้ว่าเป็นพระสุบิน

⁷The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy and full ears. Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream.

⁸ครั้นต่อมาเวลารุ่งเช้าพระองค์มีพระทัยปั่นป่วน จึงรับสั่งให้เรียกโหรและปราชญ์ทั้งปวงของอียิปต์มาเฝ้า แล้วฟาโรห์ทรงเล่าพระสุบินให้เขาฟัง แต่ไม่มีผู้ใดทูลแก้พระสุบินนั้นถวายแก่ฟาโรห์ได้

⁸It happened in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

⁹ครั้งนั้นหัวหน้าพนักงานน้ำองุ่นจึงทูลฟาโรห์ว่า "วันนี้ข้าพระองค์ระลึกถึงความผิดพลั้งของข้าพระองค์ได้

⁹Then the chief cupbearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my faults today.

¹⁰คือฟาโรห์ทรงพระพิโรธแก่ข้าราชการของพระองค์ และทรงจำข้าพระองค์ไว้ในคุกที่บ้านผู้บัญชาการทหารรักษาพระองค์ ทั้งข้าพระองค์กับหัวหน้าพนักงานขนม

¹⁰Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, me and the chief baker.

¹¹ข้าพระองค์ทั้งสองฝันในคืนเดียวกัน ทั้งข้าพระองค์และเขา ความฝันของต่างคนมีความหมายต่างกัน

¹¹We dreamed a dream in one night, I and he. We dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

¹²มีชายหนุ่มชาติฮีบรูคนหนึ่งเป็นบ่าวของผู้บัญชาการทหารรักษาพระองค์ อยู่ที่นั่นด้วยกันกับเขา และข้าพระองค์ทั้งสองเล่าความฝันให้เขาฟัง ชายนั้นก็แก้ฝันให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งสอง เขาแก้ฝันให้แต่ละคนตามความฝันของตน

¹²There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. To each man according to his dream he interpreted.

¹³และต่อมาที่เขาแก้ฝันให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งสองอย่างไรก็เป็นไปอย่างนั้น คือฟาโรห์ทรงตั้งข้าพระองค์ไว้ในตำแหน่งเดิม แต่ฝ่ายเขานั้นถูกแขวนคอเสีย"

¹³It happened, as he interpreted to us, so it was: he restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”

¹⁴ฟาโรห์จึงรับสั่งให้เรียกโยเซฟมา เขาก็รีบไปเบิกตัวโยเซฟออกมาจากคุกใต้ดิน โยเซฟโกนหนวดผลัดเสื้อผ้าแล้วก็เข้าเฝ้าฟาโรห์

¹⁴Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. He shaved himself, changed his clothing, and came in to Pharaoh.

¹⁵ฟาโรห์ตรัสแก่โยเซฟว่า "เราฝันไป และหามีผู้ใดแก้ฝันได้ไม่ เราได้ยินถึงเจ้าว่าเจ้าสามารถเข้าใจความฝันเพื่อแก้ฝันนั้นได้"

¹⁵Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

¹⁶โยเซฟจึงทูลตอบฟาโรห์ว่า "การแก้ฝันมิได้อยู่ที่ข้าพระองค์ พระเจ้าต่างหากจะประทานคำตอบอันเป็นสุขแก่ฟาโรห์"

¹⁶Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

¹⁷ฟาโรห์จึงตรัสแก่โยเซฟว่า "ในความฝันของเรานั้น ดูเถิด เรายืนอยู่ที่ฝั่งแม่น้ำ

¹⁷Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, “In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river:

¹⁸และดูเถิด มีวัวเจ็ดตัวอ้วนพีงามน่าดูขึ้นมาจากแม่น้ำ เลี้ยงหญ้าอยู่ในทุ่งหญ้าแห่งหนึ่ง

¹⁸and behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, fat and sleek. They fed in the marsh grass,

¹⁹แล้วดูเถิด วัวอีกเจ็ดตัวตามขึ้นมาไม่งาม น่าเกลียดมากและซูบผอม เราไม่เคยเห็นมีวัวเลวอย่างนี้ทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์เลย

¹⁹and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for ugliness.

²⁰วัวที่ซูบผอมไม่งามนั้นกินวัวอ้วนพีเจ็ดตัวแรกนั้นเสียหมด

²⁰The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle,

²¹เมื่อกินหมดแล้วหามีใครรู้ว่ามันกินเข้าไปไม่ เพราะยังผอมอยู่เหมือนแต่ก่อน แล้วเราก็ตื่นขึ้น

²¹and when they had eaten them up, it couldn’t be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

²²เราเห็นในความฝันของเรา ดูเถิด ต้นข้าวต้นหนึ่ง มีรวงเจ็ดรวงงอกขึ้นมา เป็นข้าวเมล็ดเต่งและงามดี

²²I saw in my dream, and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good:

²³และดูเถิด ข้าวอีกเจ็ดรวงงอกขึ้นมาภายหลังเป็นข้าวเหี่ยวลีบ และเกรียมเพราะลมตะวันออก

²³and behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

²⁴รวงข้าวลีบนั้นกลืนกินรวงข้าวดีเจ็ดรวงนั้นเสีย เราเล่าความฝันนี้ให้โหรฟัง แต่ไม่มีใครสามารถอธิบายให้เราได้"

²⁴The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”

²⁵โยเซฟจึงทูลฟาโรห์ว่า "พระสุบินของฟาโรห์มีความหมายอันเดียวกัน พระเจ้าทรงสำแดงให้ฟาโรห์ทราบถึงสิ่งที่พระองค์จะทรงกระทำ

²⁵Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.

²⁶วัวอ้วนพีเจ็ดตัวนั้นคือเจ็ดปี และรวงข้าวดีเจ็ดรวงนั้นก็คือเจ็ดปี เป็นความฝันอันเดียวกัน

²⁶The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.

²⁷วัวเจ็ดตัวซูบผอมน่าเกลียดที่ขึ้นมาภายหลังคือเจ็ดปี กับรวงข้าวเจ็ดรวงลีบและเกรียมเพราะลมตะวันออกนั้น คือเจ็ดปีที่กันดารอาหาร

²⁷The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.

²⁸นี่คือสิ่งที่ข้าพระองค์ทูลฟาโรห์ คือพระเจ้าทรงสำแดงให้ฟาโรห์รู้สิ่งที่พระองค์จะทรงกระทำ

²⁸That is the thing which I spoke to Pharaoh. What God is about to do he has shown to Pharaoh.

²⁹ดูเถิด จะมีอาหารบริบูรณ์ทั่วประเทศอียิปต์ถึงเจ็ดปี

²⁹Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt.

³⁰หลังจากนั้นจะบังเกิดการกันดารอาหารอีกเจ็ดปี จนจะลืมความอุดมสมบูรณ์ในประเทศอียิปต์เสีย การกันดารอาหารจะล้างผลาญแผ่นดิน

³⁰There will arise after them seven years of famine, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will consume the land,

³¹ทำให้จำความอุดมสมบูรณ์ในแผ่นดินไม่ได้ เพราะเหตุการกันดารอาหารที่เกิดขึ้นตามหลังนี้ ด้วยว่าการกันดารอาหารนั้นจะรุนแรงนัก

³¹and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.

³²ที่ฟาโรห์สุบินสองครั้งนั้น ก็หมายว่าสิ่งนั้นพระเจ้าทรงกำหนดไว้แล้ว และพระเจ้าจะทรงให้บังเกิดในเร็วๆนี้

³²The dream was doubled to Pharaoh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

³³เพราะฉะนั้นบัดนี้ขอฟาโรห์เลือกคนที่มีความคิดดี มีปัญญา ตั้งให้ดูแลประเทศอียิปต์

³³“Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.

³⁴ขอฟาโรห์ทำดังนี้และให้คนนั้นจัดพนักงานไว้ทั่วแผ่นดิน และเก็บผลหนึ่งในห้าส่วนแห่งประเทศอียิปต์ไว้ตลอดเจ็ดปีที่อุดมสมบูรณ์นั้น

³⁴Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt’s produce in the seven plenteous years.

³⁵ให้คนเหล่านั้นรวบรวมอาหารในปีที่อุดมเหล่านั้นซึ่งจะมาถึงนั้นไว้ และสะสมข้าวด้วยอำนาจของฟาโรห์ไว้และให้เก็บอาหารไว้ในเมืองต่างๆ

³⁵Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and lay up grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.

³⁶อาหารนี้จะได้เป็นเสบียงสำรองในแผ่นดินสำหรับเจ็ดปีที่กันดารอาหาร ซึ่งจะเกิดขึ้นในประเทศอียิปต์ เพื่อแผ่นดินจะไม่พินาศเสียไปเพราะกันดารอาหาร"

³⁶The food will be for a store to the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; that the land not perish through the famine.”

³⁷ข้อเสนอนี้เป็นที่เห็นชอบในสายพระเนตรของฟาโรห์ และในสายตาของข้าราชการทั้งปวงของพระองค์

³⁷The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

³⁸ฟาโรห์ตรัสกับบรรดาข้าราชการว่า "เราจะหาคนที่มีพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าอยู่ในตัวเหมือนคนนี้ได้หรือ"

³⁸Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”

³⁹ฟาโรห์จึงตรัสกับโยเซฟว่า "เพราะพระเจ้าได้ทรงสำแดงเรื่องนี้ทั้งสิ้นแก่ท่าน จะหาผู้ใดที่มีความคิดดีและมีปัญญาเหมือนท่านก็ไม่ได้

³⁹Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is none so discreet and wise as you.

⁴⁰ท่านจะดูแลราชสำนักของเรา และประชาชนทั้งหลายของเราจะปฏิบัติตามคำของท่าน เว้นแต่ฝ่ายพระที่นั่งเท่านั้นเราจะเป็นใหญ่กว่าท่าน"

⁴⁰You shall be over my house, and according to your word will all my people be ruled. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

⁴¹ฟาโรห์ตรัสกับโยเซฟว่า "ดูเถิด เราตั้งท่านให้ดูแลทั่วประเทศอียิปต์แล้ว"

⁴¹Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”

⁴²ฟาโรห์ทรงถอดธำมรงค์ตราออกจากพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ สวมที่มือโยเซฟ กับให้สวมเสื้อผ้าป่านเนื้อละเอียด และสวมสร้อยทองคำให้ที่คอ

⁴²Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck,

⁴³ให้โยเซฟใช้รถหลวงคันที่สองซึ่งฟาโรห์มีอยู่ และมีคนร้องประกาศข้างหน้าท่านว่า "คุกเข่าลงเถิด" ดังนี้แหละ พระองค์ทรงตั้งท่านให้ดูแลทั่วประเทศอียิปต์

⁴³and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, “Bow the knee!” He set him over all the land of Egypt.

⁴⁴ฟาโรห์จึงตรัสกับโยเซฟว่า "เราคือฟาโรห์ ไม่มีคนทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์จะยกมือยกเท้าได้เว้นแต่ท่านจะอนุญาต"

⁴⁴Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”

⁴⁵ฟาโรห์เรียกนามโยเซฟว่า ศาเฟนาทปาเนอาห์ และประทานอาเสนัทบุตรสาวโปทิเฟรา ปุโรหิตเมืองโอนให้เป็นภรรยา โยเซฟก็ออกไปสำรวจทั่วประเทศอียิปต์

⁴⁵Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphenath-Paneah; and he gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On as a wife. Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.

⁴⁶เมื่อโยเซฟเข้าเฝ้าฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์นั้น ท่านอายุได้สามสิบปี แล้วโยเซฟก็ออกจากที่เข้าเฝ้าฟาโรห์เที่ยวไปทั่วประเทศอียิปต์

⁴⁶Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

⁴⁷ในเจ็ดปีที่อุดมสมบูรณ์นั้น แผ่นดินก็ออกผลมากมาย

⁴⁷In the seven plenteous years the earth produced abundantly.

⁴⁸โยเซฟรวบรวมอาหารทั้งเจ็ดปีซึ่งมีอยู่ในประเทศอียิปต์ไว้หมด สะสมอาหารไว้ในเมืองต่างๆ ผลที่เกิดขึ้นในนารอบเมืองใดๆก็เก็บไว้ในเมืองนั้นๆ

⁴⁸He gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was around every city, he laid up in the same.

⁴⁹โยเซฟสะสมข้าวไว้ดุจเม็ดทรายในทะเลมากมายจนต้องหยุดคิดบัญชี เพราะนับไม่ถ้วน

⁴⁹Joseph laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it was without number.

⁵⁰ก่อนถึงปีกันดารอาหาร มีบุตรชายสองคนเกิดแก่โยเซฟ ซึ่งนางอาเสนัทบุตรสาวโปทิเฟราปุโรหิตเมืองโอนบังเกิดให้ท่าน

⁵⁰To Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore to him.

⁵¹โยเซฟเรียกบุตรหัวปีว่า มนัสเสห์ กล่าวว่า "เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงโปรดให้ข้าพเจ้าลืมความยากลำบากทั้งปวง และวงศ์วานทั้งสิ้นของบิดาเสีย"

⁵¹Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh, “Manasseh” sounds like the Hebrew for “forget.” “For,” he said, “God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.”

⁵²บุตรที่สองท่านเรียกชื่อว่า เอฟราอิม "เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงโปรดให้ข้าพเจ้ามีเชื้อสายทวีขึ้นในแผ่นดินที่ข้าพเจ้าได้รับความทุกข์ใจ"

⁵²The name of the second, he called Ephraim “Ephraim” sounds like the Hebrew for “twice fruitful.” : “For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”

⁵³เจ็ดปีที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ในประเทศอียิปต์ก็ล่วงไป

⁵³The seven years of plenty, that were in the land of Egypt, came to an end.

⁵⁴จึงเกิดกันดารอาหารเจ็ดปี ดั่งที่โยเซฟกล่าวไว้ การกันดารอาหารนั้นเกิดทั่วแผ่นดินทั้งหลาย แต่ทั่วประเทศอียิปต์ยังมีอาหารอยู่

⁵⁴The seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

⁵⁵เมื่อชาวอียิปต์อดอยากอาหาร ประชาชนก็ร้องทูลขออาหารต่อฟาโรห์ ฟาโรห์ก็รับสั่งแก่ชาวอียิปต์ทั้งหลายว่า "ไปหาโยเซฟ ท่านบอกอะไร ก็จงทำตาม"

⁵⁵When all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread, and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph. What he says to you, do.”

⁵⁶การกันดารอาหารแผ่ไปทั่วพื้นแผ่นดินโลก โยเซฟก็เปิดฉางออกขายข้าวแก่ชาวอียิปต์ และการกันดารอาหารในแผ่นดินอียิปต์รุนแรงมาก

⁵⁶The famine was over all the surface of the earth. Joseph opened all the store houses, and sold to the Egyptians. The famine was severe in the land of Egypt.

⁵⁷และประเทศทั้งปวงก็มายังประเทศอียิปต์หาโยเซฟเพื่อซื้อข้าว เพราะการกันดารอาหารร้ายแรงในทุกประเทศ

⁵⁷All countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.
