1โอ เกาะทั้งหลายเอ๋ย จงฟังข้าพเจ้า เจ้าชนชาติทั้งหลายแต่ไกลเอ๋ย จงฟัง พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเรียกข้าพเจ้าตั้งแต่ในครรภ์ พระองค์ทรงกล่าวถึงชื่อข้าพเจ้าตั้งแต่อยู่ในท้องมารดาข้าพเจ้า
1Listen, islands, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: Yahweh has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name:
2พระองค์ทรงทำปากของข้าพเจ้าเหมือนดาบคม พระองค์ทรงซ่อนข้าพเจ้าไว้ในร่มพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ พระองค์ทรงทำข้าพเจ้าให้เป็นลูกศรขัดมัน พระองค์ทรงซ่อนข้าพเจ้าไว้เสียในแล่งของพระองค์
2and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand, he has hidden me: and he has made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he kept me close:
3และพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "เจ้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ของเรา โอ อิสราเอล ซึ่งเราจะได้รับเกียรติในเจ้า"
3and he said to me, “You are my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
4แต่ข้าพเจ้าว่า "ข้าพเจ้าได้ทำงานเปล่าดาย ข้าพเจ้าเปลืองแรงของข้าพเจ้าเปล่าๆ อนิจจัง แต่แน่ละ ความยุติธรรมอันควรตกแก่ข้าพเจ้าอยู่กับพระเยโฮวาห์ และงานของข้าพเจ้าอยู่กับพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้า"
4But I said, “I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh, and my reward with my God.”
5และบัดนี้พระเยโฮวาห์ ผู้ทรงปั้นข้าพเจ้าตั้งแต่ในครรภ์ให้เป็นผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ เพื่อจะนำยาโคบกลับมาหาพระองค์อีก ตรัสว่า "ถึงแม้อิสราเอลจะไม่ถูกรวบรวมเข้ามา ข้าพเจ้าก็ยังได้รับเกียรติในสายพระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์ และพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าจะทรงเป็นกำลังของข้าพเจ้า"
5Now says Yahweh who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of Yahweh, and my God has become my strength);
6พระองค์ตรัสว่า "ซึ่งเจ้าจะเป็นผู้รับใช้ของเรา เพื่อจะยกบรรดาตระกูลของยาโคบขึ้น เพื่อจะให้อิสราเอลที่เหลืออยู่กลับสู่สภาพดีนั้น ดูเป็นการเล็กน้อยเกินไป เราจะมอบให้เจ้าเป็นความสว่างแก่บรรดาประชาชาติ เพื่อความรอดของเราจะถึงที่สุดปลายแผ่นดินโลกทางเจ้า"
6yes, he says, “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”
7พระเยโฮวาห์ ผู้ไถ่ของอิสราเอลและองค์บริสุทธิ์ ตรัสแก่ผู้ที่คนดูหมิ่นและแก่ผู้ที่ประชาชาติรังเกียจ ผู้เป็นผู้รับใช้ของผู้ครอบครองทั้งหลาย ดังนี้ว่า "กษัตริย์ทั้งหลายจะทอดพระเนตรและทรงลุกยืน บรรดาเจ้านายจะกราบลง เพราะเหตุพระเยโฮวาห์ผู้สัตย์ซื่อ องค์บริสุทธิ์ของอิสราเอล จะทรงเลือกสรรเจ้า"
7Thus says Yahweh, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers: “Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Yahweh who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”
8พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ในเวลาอันชอบ เราได้ฟังเจ้า ในวันแห่งความรอด เราได้ช่วยเจ้า เราจะรักษาเจ้าไว้ และมอบให้เจ้าเป็นพันธสัญญาของมนุษยชาติ เพื่อสถาปนาแผ่นดิน เพื่อเป็นเหตุให้ได้รับมรดกที่ร้างเปล่านั้น
8Thus says Yahweh, “In an acceptable time have I answered you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritage:
9เพื่อเจ้าจะกล่าวแก่ผู้ถูกจำจองว่า `ออกไปเถิด' ต่อบรรดาผู้ที่อยู่ในความมืดว่า `จงปรากฏตัว' เขาทั้งหลายจะเลี้ยงชีวิตตามทาง และตามที่สูงทั้งหลายจะเป็นที่หากินของเขา
9saying to those who are bound, ‘Come out!’; to those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves!’ “They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture.
10เขาทั้งหลายจะไม่หิวหรือกระหาย ความร้อนหรือดวงอาทิตย์จะไม่ทำลายเขา เพราะพระองค์ซึ่งเมตตาเขาจะทรงนำเขาไป และจะนำเขาไปตามน้ำพุ
10They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he who has mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water he will guide them.
11เราจะทำภูเขาของเราทั้งหมดเป็นทางเดิน และทางหลวงของเราจะสูง
11I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
12ดูเถิด พวกเหล่านี้จะมาจากเมืองไกล และดูเถิด บ้างมาจากเหนือและจากตะวันตก และบ้างมาจากแผ่นดินสเวเน"
12Behold, these shall come from far; and behold, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.”
13โอ ฟ้าสวรรค์เอ๋ย จงร้องเพลง โอ แผ่นดินโลกเอ๋ย จงลิงโลดเถิด โอ ภูเขาเอ๋ย จงเปรมปรีดิ์ร้องเพลง เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงเล้าโลมชนชาติของพระองค์แล้ว และจะทรงเมตตาแก่คนของพระองค์ ผู้ที่ถูกข่มใจ
13Sing, heavens; and be joyful, earth; and break forth into singing, mountains: for Yahweh has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.
14แต่ศิโยนกล่าวว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงละทิ้งข้าพเจ้าแล้ว องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าทรงลืมข้าพเจ้าเสียแล้ว"
14But Zion said, “Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.”
15ผู้หญิงจะลืมบุตรที่ยังกินนมของนาง และจะไม่เมตตาบุตรชายจากครรภ์ของนางได้หรือ "แม้ว่าคนเหล่านี้ยังลืมได้ กระนั้นเราก็จะไม่ลืมเจ้า
15“Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!
16ดูเถิด เราได้สลักเจ้าไว้บนฝ่ามือของเรา กำแพงเมืองของเจ้าอยู่ต่อหน้าเราเสมอ
16Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
17ลูกหลานของเจ้าก็จะเร่งรีบ ผู้ทำลายเจ้าและบรรดาผู้ที่ทำให้เจ้าถูกทิ้งร้างก็จะออกไปจากเจ้า
17Your children make haste; your destroyers and those who made you waste shall go forth from you.
18จงเงยหน้าเงยตาขึ้นดูรอบๆ เขาทั้งหลายชุมนุมกัน เขาทั้งหลายมาหาเจ้า" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "เรามีชีวิตอยู่ตราบใด เจ้าจะสวมเขาทั้งหลายไว้หมดอย่างเครื่องอาภรณ์ เจ้าจะผูกเขาไว้อย่างเจ้าสาวประดับอาภรณ์
18Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live,” says Yahweh, “you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride.
19เพราะว่าที่ที่ถูกทิ้งไว้เสียเปล่าและที่รกร้างของเจ้า และแผ่นดินที่ถูกทำลายของเจ้าจะแคบเกินไปด้วยเหตุมีชาวเมืองอยู่กันมาก และคนทั้งหลายที่กลืนเจ้าจะอยู่ห่างไกล
19“For, as for your waste and your desolate places, and your land that has been destroyed, surely now you shall be too small for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up shall be far away.
20เด็กที่เกิดแก่เจ้าหลังจากลูกเสียไปแล้ว จะพูดที่หูของเจ้าอีกว่า `ที่นี้แคบเกินสำหรับฉันแล้ว จงหาที่ให้ฉันอยู่'
20The children of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, The place is too small for me; give place to me that I may dwell.
21แล้วเจ้าจะกล่าวในใจของเจ้าว่า `ใครหนอได้ให้กำเนิดคนเหล่านี้แก่ข้าพเจ้า เพราะข้าพเจ้าสูญเสียลูกๆไปแล้ว และข้าพเจ้าก็โดดเดี่ยว ถูกกวาดไปเป็นเชลยและย้ายไปโน่นมานี่ แต่ใครหนอชุบเลี้ยงคนเหล่านี้ ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าถูกทิ้งอยู่ตามลำพัง แล้วคนเหล่านี้มาจากไหนกัน'"
21Then you will say in your heart, ‘Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?’”
22องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ดูเถิด เราจะยกมือของเรากวักบรรดาประชาชาติ และยกสัญญาณของเราต่อชนชาติทั้งหลาย และเขาทั้งหลายจะอุ้มบรรดาบุตรชายของเจ้ามา และบรรดาบุตรสาวของเจ้านั้น เขาจะใส่บ่าแบกมา
22Thus says the Lord Yahweh, “Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my banner to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
23บรรดากษัตริย์จะเป็นพ่อเลี้ยงของเจ้า และพระราชินีทั้งหลายจะเป็นแม่เลี้ยงของเจ้า เขาเหล่านั้นจะก้มหน้าลงถึงดินกราบเจ้า เขาจะเลียผงคลีที่เท้าของเจ้า แล้วเจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ ผู้ที่รอคอยเราจะไม่ประสบความอาย"
23Kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am Yahweh; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed.”
24จะเอาเหยื่อไปจากผู้มีกำลัง หรือจะช่วยเชลยของผู้ชอบธรรมให้พ้นได้หรือ
24Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered?
25แน่นอนละ พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "แม้เชลยของผู้มีกำลังก็จะต้องเอาไป และเหยื่อของผู้น่ากลัวก็ต้องช่วยให้พ้น เพราะเราจะต่อสู้กับผู้ที่ต่อสู้เจ้า และจะช่วยบุตรของเจ้าให้รอด
25But thus says Yahweh, “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.
26เราจะให้ผู้บีบบังคับเจ้ากินเนื้อของตนเอง และเขาจะเมาโลหิตของเขาเองเหมือนเมาเหล้าองุ่น แล้วเนื้อหนังทั้งปวงจะทราบว่า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ เป็นพระผู้ช่วยให้รอดของเจ้า และพระผู้ไถ่ของเจ้า องค์อานุภาพของยาโคบ"
26I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
