¹ภายหลังเหตุการณ์เหล่านี้พระเยซูได้ทรงสำแดงพระองค์แก่เหล่าสาวกอีกครั้งหนึ่งที่ทะเลทิเบเรียส และพระองค์ทรงสำแดงพระองค์อย่างนี้

¹After these things, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself this way.

²คือ ซีโมนเปโตร โธมัสที่เรียกว่า ดิดุมัส และนาธานาเอลชาวบ้านคานาแคว้นกาลิลี และบุตรชายทั้งสองของเศเบดี และสาวกของพระองค์อีกสองคนกำลังอยู่ด้วยกัน

²Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.

³ซีโมนเปโตรบอกเขาว่า "ข้าจะไปจับปลา" เขาทั้งหลายจึงพูดกับท่านว่า "เราจะไปกับท่านด้วย" เขาก็ออกไปลงเรือทันที แต่คืนนั้นเขาจับปลาไม่ได้เลย

³Simon Peter said to them, “I’m going fishing.” They told him, “We are also coming with you.” They immediately went out, and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing.

⁴แต่ครั้นรุ่งเช้าพระเยซูประทับยืนอยู่ที่ฝั่ง แต่เหล่าสาวกไม่รู้ว่าเป็นพระเยซู

⁴But when day had already come, Jesus stood on the beach, yet the disciples didn’t know that it was Jesus.

⁵พระเยซูจึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "ลูกเอ๋ย มีอาหารบ้างหรือเปล่า" เขาทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "ไม่มี"

⁵Jesus therefore said to them, “Children, have you anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.”

⁶พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า "จงทอดอวนลงทางด้านขวาเรือเถิด แล้วจะได้ปลาบ้าง" เขาจึงทอดอวนลงและได้ปลาเป็นอันมากจนลากอวนขึ้นไม่ได้

⁶He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” They cast it therefore, and now they weren’t able to draw it in for the multitude of fish.

⁷สาวกคนที่พระเยซูทรงรักจึงบอกเปโตรว่า "เป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า" เมื่อซีโมนเปโตรได้ยินว่าเป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เขาก็หยิบเสื้อคลุมชาวประมงของเขามาสวมรัดไว้ (เพราะเขาเปลือยเปล่าอยู่) แล้วก็กระโดดลงทะเล

⁷That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around him (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea.

⁸แต่สาวกอื่นๆนั้นนั่งเรือเล็กๆมา ลากอวนที่ติดปลาเต็มนั้นมาด้วย (เพราะเขาอยู่ไม่ห่างจากฝั่งนัก ไกลประมาณหนึ่งร้อยเมตรเท่านั้น)

⁸But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits 200 cubits is about 100 yards or about 91 meters away), dragging the net full of fish.

⁹เมื่อเขาขึ้นมาบนฝั่ง เขาก็เห็นถ่านติดไฟอยู่ และมีปลาวางอยู่ข้างบนและมีขนมปัง

⁹So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.

¹⁰พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า "เอาปลาที่ได้เมื่อกี้นี้มาบ้าง"

¹⁰Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”

¹¹ซีโมนเปโตรจึงไปลากอวนขึ้นฝั่ง อวนติดปลาใหญ่เต็ม มีหนึ่งร้อยห้าสิบสามตัว และถึงมากอย่างนั้นอวนก็ไม่ขาด

¹¹Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fish, one hundred fifty-three; and even though there were so many, the net wasn’t torn.

¹²พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า "เชิญมารับประทานอาหารกันเถิด" และในพวกสาวกไม่มีใครกล้าถามพระองค์ว่า "ท่านคือผู้ใด" เพราะเขารู้อยู่ว่าเป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า

¹²Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” None of the disciples dared inquire of him, “Who are you?” knowing that it was the Lord.

¹³พระเยซูทรงเข้ามาหยิบขนมปังแจกให้เขาและทรงหยิบปลาแจกด้วย

¹³Then Jesus came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise.

¹⁴นี่เป็นครั้งที่สามที่พระเยซูทรงสำแดงพระองค์แก่พวกสาวกของพระองค์ หลังจากที่พระองค์ทรงคืนพระชนม์

¹⁴This is now the third time that Jesus was revealed to his disciples, after he had risen from the dead.

¹⁵เมื่อรับประทานอาหารเสร็จแล้วพระเยซูตรัสกับซีโมนเปโตรว่า "ซีโมนบุตรชายโยนาห์เอ๋ย ท่านรักเรามากกว่าพวกเหล่านี้หรือ" เขาทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "ถูกแล้ว พระองค์เจ้าข้า พระองค์ทรงทราบว่าข้าพระองค์รักพระองค์" พระองค์ตรัสสั่งเขาว่า "จงเลี้ยงลูกแกะของเราเถิด"

¹⁵So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

¹⁶พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาครั้งที่สองอีกว่า "ซีโมนบุตรชายโยนาห์เอ๋ย ท่านรักเราหรือ" เขาทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "ถูกแล้ว พระองค์เจ้าข้า พระองค์ทรงทราบว่าข้าพระองค์รักพระองค์" พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาว่า "จงเลี้ยงแกะของเราเถิด"

¹⁶He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

¹⁷พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาครั้งที่สามว่า "ซีโมนบุตรชายโยนาห์เอ๋ย ท่านรักเราหรือ" เปโตรก็เป็นทุกข์ใจที่พระองค์ตรัสถามเขาครั้งที่สามว่า "ท่านรักเราหรือ" และเขาทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า พระองค์ทรงทราบทุกสิ่ง พระองค์ทรงทราบว่า ข้าพระองค์รักพระองค์" พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาว่า "จงเลี้ยงแกะของเราเถิด

¹⁷He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for me?” He said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

¹⁸เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า เมื่อท่านยังหนุ่มท่านคาดเอวเอง และเดินไปไหนๆตามที่ท่านปรารถนา แต่เมื่อท่านแก่แล้วท่านจะเหยียดมือของท่านออก และคนอื่นจะคาดเอวท่าน และพาท่านไปที่ที่ท่านไม่ปรารถนาจะไป"

¹⁸ Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you don’t want to go.”

¹⁹ที่พระองค์ตรัสอย่างนั้นเพื่อแสดงว่า เปโตรจะถวายเกียรติแด่พระเจ้าด้วยความตายอย่างไร ครั้นพระองค์ตรัสอย่างนั้นแล้วจึงสั่งเปโตรว่า "จงตามเรามาเถิด"

¹⁹Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me.”

²⁰เปโตรเหลียวหลังเห็นสาวกคนที่พระเยซูทรงรักตามมา คือสาวกที่เอนตัวลงที่พระทรวงของพระองค์เมื่อรับประทานอาหารเย็นอยู่นั้น และทูลถามว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า ผู้ที่จะทรยศพระองค์ไว้คือใคร"

²⁰Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus sincerely loved, the one who had also leaned on Jesus’ breast at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is going to betray You?”

²¹เมื่อเปโตรเห็นสาวกคนนั้นจึงทูลถามพระเยซูว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า คนนี้จะเป็นอย่างไร"

²¹Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?”

²²พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาว่า "ถ้าเราอยากจะให้เขาอยู่จนเรามานั้น จะเป็นเรื่องอะไรของท่านเล่า ท่านจงตามเรามาเถิด"

²²Jesus said to him, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me.”

²³เหตุฉะนั้นคำที่ว่า สาวกคนนั้นจะไม่ตาย จึงลือไปท่ามกลางพวกพี่น้อง แต่พระเยซูมิได้ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "สาวกคนนั้นจะไม่ตาย" แต่ตรัสว่า "ถ้าเราอยากจะให้เขาอยู่จนเรามานั้น จะเป็นเรื่องอะไรของท่านเล่า"

²³This saying therefore went out among the brothers The word for “brothers” here may be also correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , that this disciple wouldn’t die. Yet Jesus didn’t say to him that he wouldn’t die, but, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?”

²⁴สาวกคนนี้แหละ ที่เป็นพยานถึงเหตุการณ์เหล่านี้และเป็นผู้ที่เขียนสิ่งเหล่านี้ไว้ และเราทราบว่าคำพยานของเขาเป็นความจริง

²⁴This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.

²⁵มีอีกหลายสิ่งที่พระเยซูได้ทรงกระทำ ถ้าจะเขียนไว้ให้หมดทุกสิ่ง ข้าพเจ้าคาดว่า แม้หมดทั้งโลกก็น่าจะไม่พอไว้หนังสือที่จะเขียนนั้น เอเมน

²⁵There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn’t have room for the books that would be written.
