¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²"เจ้าจงบัญชาแก่คนอิสราเอลให้นำน้ำมันอย่างบริสุทธิ์สกัดจากมะกอกเทศเพื่อเติมประทีป เพื่อให้ตะเกียงลุกอยู่เสมอ

²“Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.

³ภายในพลับพลาแห่งชุมนุมข้างนอกม่านหีบพระโอวาทนั้น ให้อาโรนจัดประทีปให้เป็นระเบียบตั้งแต่เวลาเย็นจนเวลาเช้าเสมอต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ ทั้งนี้ให้เป็นกฎเกณฑ์ถาวรตลอดชั่วอายุของเจ้า

³Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, shall Aaron keep it in order from evening to morning before Yahweh continually: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

⁴ให้อาโรนจัดประทีปให้เป็นระเบียบอยู่บนคันประทีปบริสุทธิ์เสมอต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์

⁴He shall keep in order the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before Yahweh continually.

⁵และเจ้าจงเอายอดแป้ง ปิ้งขนมปังสิบสองก้อน แต่ละก้อนใช้แป้งสองในสิบเอฟาห์

⁵“You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two tenth parts of an ephah 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel shall be in one cake.

⁶เจ้าจงจัดขนมปังนั้นวางบนโต๊ะบริสุทธิ์ต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ เป็นสองแถวๆละหกก้อน

⁶You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before Yahweh.

⁷และเจ้าจงเอาเครื่องกำยานบริสุทธิ์ใส่ไว้แต่ละแถว เพื่อจะคู่กับขนมปังเป็นส่วนที่ระลึก เป็นเครื่องบูชากระทำด้วยไฟถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์

⁷You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

⁸ทุกๆวันสะบาโตให้อาโรนจัดไว้ให้เป็นระเบียบถวายต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์เสมอ ในนามของคนอิสราเอลเป็นพันธสัญญาเนืองนิตย์

⁸Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before Yahweh continually. It is on the behalf of the children of Israel an everlasting covenant.

⁹ขนมปังนี้ตกเป็นของอาโรนและบุตรชายของเขา ให้เขารับประทานได้ในที่บริสุทธิ์ เพราะเป็นส่วนบริสุทธิ์ที่สุดที่ได้จากเครื่องบูชากระทำด้วยไฟถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์เป็นกฎเกณฑ์เนืองนิตย์"

⁹It shall be for Aaron and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire by a perpetual statute.”

¹⁰ครั้งนั้นมีชายคนหนึ่งเป็นบุตรชายของหญิงคนอิสราเอล ซึ่งบิดาเป็นชาวอียิปต์ ออกไปท่ามกลางคนอิสราเอล และบุตรชายของหญิงอิสราเอลทะเลาะกับชายอิสราเอลคนหนึ่งในค่าย

¹⁰The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

¹¹และบุตรชายหญิงอิสราเอลคนนั้นได้เหยียดหยามพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์และได้แช่งด่า เขาจึงนำตัวมาให้โมเสส (มารดาของเขาชื่อเชโลมิทบุตรสาวของดิบรีคนตระกูลดาน)

¹¹The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

¹²เขาจึงจองจำชายคนนั้นไว้จนกว่าน้ำพระทัยของพระเยโฮวาห์จะเป็นที่กระจ่างต่อเขาทั้งหลาย

¹²They put him in custody, until the will of Yahweh should be declared to them.

¹³พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

¹³Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴"จงนำผู้ที่แช่งด่านั้นออกมาจากค่าย ให้บรรดาผู้ที่ได้ยินคำแช่งด่าเอามือของตนวางไว้บนศีรษะของเขา และให้บรรดาชุมนุมชนเอาหินขว้างเขาให้ตาย

¹⁴“Bring out of the camp him who cursed; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁵และจงกล่าวแก่คนอิสราเอลว่า ผู้ใดแช่งด่าพระเจ้าของเขา ผู้นั้นจะต้องได้รับโทษบาป

¹⁵You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ผู้ใดที่เหยียดหยามพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์จะต้องถูกโทษถึงตาย และให้ชุมนุมชนทั้งหมดเอาหินขว้างเขา คนต่างด้าวหรือชาวเมืองก็ดี เมื่อเขาเหยียดหยามพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์ จะต้องถูกโทษถึงตาย

¹⁶He who blasphemes the name of Yahweh, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him: the foreigner as well as the native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

¹⁷ผู้ที่ฆ่าคนตาย จะต้องถูกโทษถึงตาย

¹⁷“‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ผู้ใดที่ฆ่าสัตว์ต้องชดใช้สิ่งนั้น สัตว์แทนสัตว์

¹⁸He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life.

¹⁹ถ้าผู้ใดกระทำให้เพื่อนบ้านเสียโฉม เขากระทำให้เสียโฉมอย่างไร ก็ให้กระทำแก่เขาอย่างนั้น

¹⁹If anyone injures his neighbor; as he has done, so shall it be done to him:

²⁰กระดูกหักแท่นกระดูกหัก ตาแทนตา ฟันแทนฟัน เขากระทำให้เสียโฉมอย่างไร เขาก็ต้องถูกทำให้เสียโฉมอย่างนั้น

²⁰fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has injured someone, so shall it be done to him.

²¹ผู้ใดที่ฆ่าสัตว์ต้องเสียค่าชดใช้ และผู้ใดที่ฆ่าคนให้ผู้นั้นถูกโทษถึงตาย

²¹He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death.

²²เจ้าจงมีพระราชบัญญัติอย่างเดียวกันสำหรับคนต่างด้าว และสำหรับชาวเมือง เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า"

²²You shall have one kind of law, for the foreigner as well as the native-born: for I am Yahweh your God.’”

²³โมเสสก็บอกแก่คนอิสราเอลให้เขาพาคนที่แช่งด่านั้นออกมาจากค่าย และเอาหินขว้างเขา คนอิสราเอลกระทำดังนี้ตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบัญชาโมเสสไว้

²³Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they brought out him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
