¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสที่ภูเขาซีนายว่า

¹Yahweh said to Moses in Mount Sinai,

²"จงกล่าวแก่คนอิสราเอลว่า เมื่อเจ้าทั้งหลายเข้าแผ่นดินที่เราให้เจ้านั้น จงให้แผ่นดินนั้นถือสะบาโตแด่พระเยโฮวาห์

²“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to Yahweh.

³เจ้าจงหว่านพืชในนาของเจ้าหกปี และจงลิดแขนงสวนองุ่นของเจ้าและเก็บผลหกปี

³Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruits;

⁴แต่ในปีที่เจ็ดนั้นเป็นปีสะบาโตแห่งการหยุดพักผ่อนสำหรับแผ่นดิน เป็นปีสะบาโตแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ เจ้าอย่าหว่านพืชในนา หรือลิดแขนงสวนองุ่นของเจ้า

⁴but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to Yahweh. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

⁵สิ่งใดที่งอกขึ้นมาเอง เจ้าอย่าเก็บเกี่ยว องุ่นอันเกิดอยู่ที่เถาอันเจ้ามิได้ตกแต่งก็อย่าเก็บ ให้เป็นปีที่แผ่นดินหยุดพักสงบ

⁵What grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap, and the grapes of your undressed vine you shall not gather. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.

⁶แผ่นดินในปีสะบาโตนั้นจะยังพืชผลให้แก่เจ้าทั้งหลาย คือแก่ตัวเจ้าเอง แก่ทาสชายทาสหญิงของเจ้า แก่ลูกจ้างของเจ้า และแก่คนต่างด้าวที่อยู่กับเจ้า

⁶The Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for yourself, for your servant, for your maid, for your hired servant, and for your stranger, who lives as a foreigner with you.

⁷พืชผลแห่งแผ่นดินทั้งสิ้น จะเป็นอาหารของสัตว์เลี้ยงของเจ้า และของสัตว์ป่าที่อยู่ในแผ่นดินของเจ้า

⁷For your livestock also, and for the animals that are in your land, shall all its increase be for food.

⁸เจ้าจงนับปีสะบาโตเจ็ดปีคือเจ็ดคูณเจ็ดปี เวลาปีสะบาโตเจ็ดปีจึงเป็นสี่สิบเก้าปีแก่เจ้า

⁸“‘You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years.

⁹เจ้าจงให้เป่าแตรดังสนั่นในวันที่สิบเดือนที่เจ็ด เจ้าจงให้เป่าแตรทั่วแผ่นดินในวันทำการลบมลทิน

⁹Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.

¹⁰เจ้าจงถือปีที่ห้าสิบไว้เป็นปีบริสุทธิ์ และประกาศอิสรภาพแก่บรรดาคนที่อาศัยอยู่ทั่วแผ่นดินของเจ้า ให้เป็นปีเสียงแตรแก่เจ้า ให้ทุกคนกลับไปยังภูมิลำเนาอันเป็นทรัพย์สินของตน และกลับไปสู่ครอบครัวของตน

¹⁰You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

¹¹ปีที่ห้าสิบนั้นเป็นปีเสียงแตรของเจ้า ในปีนั้นเจ้าอย่าหว่านพืชหรือเกี่ยวเก็บผลที่เกิดขึ้นมาเอง หรือเก็บองุ่นจากเถาที่มิได้ตกแต่ง

¹¹That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. In it you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from the undressed vines.

¹²เพราะเป็นปีเสียงแตร จะเป็นปีบริสุทธิ์แก่เจ้า เจ้าจงรับประทานพืชผลที่งอกมาจากนาในปีนั้น

¹²For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat of its increase out of the field.

¹³ในปีเสียงแตรนี้ให้ทุกคนกลับไปสู่ภูมิลำเนาอันเป็นทรัพย์สินของตน

¹³“‘In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his property.

¹⁴ถ้าเจ้าขายนาให้เพื่อนบ้านก็ดี หรือซื้อจากเพื่อนบ้านก็ดี เจ้าอย่าโกงกัน

¹⁴“‘If you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

¹⁵ตามจำนวนปีหลังจากปีเสียงแตร เจ้าจงซื้อนาจากเพื่อนบ้านของเจ้าและให้เขาขายแก่เจ้าตามจำนวนปีที่ปลูกพืชได้

¹⁵According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor. According to the number of years of the crops he shall sell to you.

¹⁶ถ้ามากปีก็ต้องเพิ่มราคาสูงขึ้น ถ้าน้อยปีเจ้าจงลดราคาให้ต่ำลง เพราะที่เขาขายนั้นเขาก็ขายตามจำนวนปีที่ปลูกพืช

¹⁶According to the length of the years you shall increase its price, and according to the shortness of the years you shall diminish its price; for he is selling the number of the crops to you.

¹⁷เจ้าอย่าโกงกัน แต่เจ้าจงยำเกรงพระเจ้าของเจ้า เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

¹⁷You shall not wrong one another; but you shall fear your God: for I am Yahweh your God.

¹⁸เพราะฉะนั้นเจ้าจงกระทำตามกฎเกณฑ์ของเรา และรักษาคำตัดสินของเราและปฏิบัติตาม ดังนั้นเจ้าจะอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินนั้นอย่างปลอดภัยได้

¹⁸“‘Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and do them; and you shall dwell in the land in safety.

¹⁹แผ่นดินจะอำนวยผลให้เจ้าได้รับประทานอย่างอิ่มหนำ และอาศัยอยู่อย่างปลอดภัย

¹⁹The land shall yield its fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

²⁰ถ้าเจ้าจะพูดว่า `ดูเถิด ถ้าเราทั้งหลายหว่านหรือเกี่ยวพืชผลของเราไม่ได้ ในปีที่เจ็ดเราจะเอาอะไรรับประทาน'

²⁰If you said, “What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase”;

²¹เราจะบัญชาพรของเราให้มีเหนือเจ้าในปีที่หก เพื่อจะมีพืชผลพอสำหรับสามปี

²¹then I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for the three years.

²²เมื่อเจ้าหว่านในปีที่แปดเจ้าจะรับประทานของเก่าของเจ้าจนปีที่เก้า เมื่อเจ้าได้พืชผลใหม่เข้ามาเจ้าก็ยังรับประทานพืชผลเก่าของเจ้าอยู่

²²You shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits, the old store; until the ninth year, until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old store.

²³เจ้าทั้งหลายจะขายที่ดินของเจ้าให้ขาดไม่ได้เพราะว่าดินนั้นเป็นของเรา เพราะเจ้าเป็นคนต่างด้าวและเป็นคนอาศัยอยู่กับเรา

²³“‘The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for you are strangers and live as foreigners with me.

²⁴ทั่วไปในแผ่นดินที่เจ้ายึดถืออยู่ เจ้าจงให้มีการไถ่ถอนที่ดินคืน

²⁴In all the land of your possession you shall grant a redemption for the land.

²⁵ถ้าพี่น้องของเจ้ายากจนลงและขายที่ดินส่วนหนึ่งของเขา หากว่ามีผู้ใดในพี่น้องของเขามาไถ่ถอนที่นั้น ก็จงให้เขาไถ่ถอนที่ซึ่งพี่น้องของเขาขายไปนั้น

²⁵“‘If your brother becomes poor, and sells some of his possessions, then his kinsman who is next to him shall come, and redeem that which his brother has sold.

²⁶ถ้าชายคนนั้นไม่มีญาติมาไถ่ถอนให้ และตัวเขาสามารถจะไถ่ถอนเอง

²⁶If a man has no one to redeem it, and he becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it;

²⁷ก็จงให้คนที่จะไถ่นับปีทั้งหลายที่เขาขายไป และเงินที่เหลือนั้นจงคืนให้แก่คนที่เขาขายให้และคนไถ่ก็เข้าอยู่ในที่ดินของเขาได้

²⁷then let him reckon the years since its sale, and restore the surplus to the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return to his property.

²⁸แต่ถ้าเขาไม่สามารถที่จะไถ่คืนมา ที่ดินที่เขาได้ขายไปจะคงอยู่ในมือของผู้ซื้อจนถึงปีเสียงแตร และในปีเสียงแตรนี้ ที่ดินจะออกไปและเขาจะได้ที่ดินของเขากลับคืน

²⁸But if he isn’t able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the Year of Jubilee: and in the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his property.

²⁹ถ้าผู้ใดขายเรือนซึ่งอยู่ในเมืองที่มีกำแพง เมื่อขายไปแล้วให้เขาไถ่ถอนคืนได้ภายในหนึ่งปีแรก ให้เขามีสิทธิ์ในการไถ่ถอนคืนได้หนึ่งปีเต็ม

²⁹“‘If a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it has been sold. For a full year he shall have the right of redemption.

³⁰ถ้าในเวลาหนึ่งปีเต็มเขาไม่ทำการไถ่ถอน ก็ให้จัดการเสียให้เป็นการแน่นอนว่า ผู้ที่ซื้อไปมีสิทธิ์เหนือเรือนที่อยู่ในเมืองที่มีกำแพงนั้นสิทธิ์ขาดแล้ว ตลอดชั่วอายุของเขา ในปีเสียงแตรเขาก็ไม่ต้องคืนให้

³⁰If it isn’t redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not be released in the Jubilee.

³¹แต่เรือนในชนบทที่ไม่มีกำแพงล้อมให้นับเข้าเป็นพวกเดียวกับท้องนาในประเทศนั้น คือไถ่ถอนคืนได้ และจะต้องคืนกลับให้เจ้าของเดิมในปีเสียงแตร

³¹But the houses of the villages which have no wall around them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the Jubilee.

³²แต่อย่างไรก็ตามเมืองของคนเลวี หรือบ้านในเมืองที่เขาถือกรรมสิทธิ์ คนเลวีจะไถ่ถอนคืนได้ทุกเวลา

³²“‘Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.

³³ถ้าผู้ใดซื้อของจากคนเลวี เรือนซึ่งถูกขายไปนั้นกับเมืองที่เขาถือกรรมสิทธิ์ต้องกลับคืนในปีเสียงแตร เพราะเรือนทั้งหลายในหัวเมืองของพวกเลวีก็เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของเขาท่ามกลางพวกอิสราเอล

³³The Levites may redeem the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, and it shall be released in the Jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

³⁴แต่ทุ่งนาที่ล้อมรอบหัวเมืองทั้งหลายของพวกเขานั้นจะขายไม่ได้ เพราะว่าเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ถาวรของเขาทั้งหลาย

³⁴But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

³⁵ถ้าพี่น้องของเจ้ายากจนลงและเลี้ยงตัวเองอยู่กับเจ้าไม่ได้ เจ้าจะต้องชูกำลังเขา ถึงเขาเป็นคนต่างด้าวหรือคนอาศัย เพื่อเขาจะอาศัยอยู่กับเจ้า

³⁵“‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support him among you; then you shall uphold him. He shall live with you like an alien and a temporary resident.

³⁶อย่าเอาดอกเบี้ยหรือเงินเพิ่มอะไรจากเขา แต่จงยำเกรงพระเจ้า เพื่อว่าพี่น้องของเจ้าจะอยู่ใกล้ชิดกับเจ้าได้

³⁶Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God; that your brother may live among you.

³⁷เจ้าอย่าให้เขายืมเงินด้วยคิดดอกเบี้ย หรืออย่าให้อาหารเพื่อเอากำไรจากเขา

³⁷You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.

³⁸เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า ซึ่งนำเจ้าออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เพื่อยกแผ่นดินคานาอันให้แก่เจ้า และที่จะเป็นพระเจ้าของเจ้า

³⁸I am Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

³⁹ถ้าพี่น้องที่อยู่ใกล้ชิดกับเจ้ายากจนลง และขายตัวให้แก่เจ้า เจ้าอย่าให้เขาทำงานเหมือนทาส

³⁹“‘If your brother has grown poor among you, and sells himself to you; you shall not make him to serve as a slave.

⁴⁰ให้เขาอยู่กับเจ้าอย่างลูกจ้างหรือคนที่อาศัยอยู่ด้วย ให้เขาปรนนิบัติเจ้าไปถึงปีเสียงแตร

⁴⁰As a hired servant, and as a temporary resident, he shall be with you; he shall serve with you until the Year of Jubilee:

⁴¹แล้วเขาและลูกหลานของเขาจะออกไปจากเจ้ากลับไปสู่ครอบครัวของเขา และกลับไปอยู่ในที่ดินของบิดาของเขา

⁴¹then he shall go out from you, he and his children with him, and shall return to his own family, and to the possession of his fathers.

⁴²เพราะว่าเขาทั้งหลายเป็นทาสของเราที่เราพาออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เขาจะขายตัวเป็นทาสไม่ได้

⁴²For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. They shall not be sold as slaves.

⁴³เจ้าอย่าข่มขี่เขาให้ลำบาก แต่จงยำเกรงพระเจ้าของเจ้า

⁴³You shall not rule over him with harshness, but shall fear your God.

⁴⁴ส่วนทาสชายหญิงซึ่งจะมีได้นั้น เจ้าจะซื้อทาสชายหญิงจากท่ามกลางบรรดาประชาชาติที่อยู่ข้างเคียงเจ้าก็ได้

⁴⁴“‘As for your male and your female slaves, whom you may have; of the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves.

⁴⁵ยิ่งกว่านั้นเจ้าจะซื้อจากคนต่างด้าวที่อาศัยอยู่ในหมู่พวกเจ้าทั้งครอบครัวของเขาซึ่งเป็นคนเกิดในแผ่นดินของเจ้า และเขาจะตกเป็นทรัพย์สินของเจ้าก็ได้

⁴⁵Moreover of the children of the aliens who live among you, of them you may buy, and of their families who are with you, which they have conceived in your land; and they will be your property.

⁴⁶เจ้าจะทำพินัยกรรมยกเขาให้แก่ลูกหลานของเจ้า ให้เป็นมรดกแก่เขาเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ เจ้าใช้เขาได้อย่างทาสเป็นนิตย์ก็ได้ แต่เจ้าทั้งหลายอย่าปกครองพี่น้องคนอิสราเอลด้วยความรุนแรง

⁴⁶You may make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them may you take your slaves forever: but over your brothers the children of Israel you shall not rule, one over another, with harshness.

⁴⁷ถ้าคนต่างด้าวหรือคนที่อาศัยอยู่กับเจ้ามั่งมีขึ้น และพี่น้องของเจ้าที่อยู่ใกล้ชิดกับเขายากจนลง และขายตัวให้แก่คนต่างด้าวหรือผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่กับเจ้านั้น หรือขายให้แก่ญาติคนหนึ่งคนใดของคนต่างด้าวนั้น

⁴⁷“‘If an alien or temporary resident with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him has grown poor, and sells himself to the stranger or foreigner living among you, or to a member of the stranger’s family;

⁴⁸เมื่อเขาขายตัวแล้วก็ให้มีการไถ่ถอน คือพี่น้องคนหนึ่งคนใดของเขาทำการไถ่ถอนเขาได้

⁴⁸after he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brothers may redeem him;

⁴⁹หรือลุงหรือลูกพี่ลูกน้องจะทำการไถ่ถอนเขาก็ได้ หรือญาติสนิทของครอบครัวของเขาจะไถ่ถอนเขาก็ได้ หรือถ้าเขามีความสามารถ เขาจะไถ่ถอนตัวเองก็ได้

⁴⁹or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any who is a close relative to him of his family may redeem him; or if he has grown rich, he may redeem himself.

⁵⁰จงให้ผู้ที่ขายตัวนับปีทั้งหลายที่ขายตัวกับผู้ที่ซื้อตัวเขาไป ว่าเขาได้ขายตัวกี่ปีจนถึงปีเสียงแตร ค่าตัวของเขาเป็นค่าตามจำนวนปีเหล่านั้น เวลาที่เขาอยู่กับเจ้าของตัวเขานั้นคิดตามเวลาของลูกจ้าง

⁵⁰He shall reckon with him who bought him from the year that he sold himself to him to the Year of Jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according to the number of years; according to the time of a hired servant shall he be with him.

⁵¹ถ้ามีเวลาอีกหลายปี เขาต้องชำระเงินคืนเท่ากับเงินที่ถูกซื้อมา นับเป็นค่าไถ่ถอนตัวเขา

⁵¹If there are yet many years, according to them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

⁵²ถ้ายังเหลือน้อยปีจะถึงปีเสียงแตร ก็ให้ผู้ขายตัวคิดกับผู้ซื้อตัวไว้เป็นราคาค่าไถ่ของเขานั้น และตามจำนวนปีเหล่านั้น เขาจะคืนเงินให้กับผู้ซื้อตัว

⁵²If there remain but a few years to the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according to his years of service he shall give back the price of his redemption.

⁵³ผู้ขายตัวนั้นจะต้องอยู่กับผู้ซื้อตัวดังลูกจ้างที่จ้างเป็นปี อย่าให้นายปกครองเขาอย่างกดขี่ในสายตาของเจ้า

⁵³As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him: he shall not rule with harshness over him in your sight.

⁵⁴ถ้าเขาไม่ไถ่ถอนตามที่กล่าวมานี้ก็ให้ปล่อยเขาในปีเสียงแตร ทั้งเขาพร้อมกับลูกของเขา

⁵⁴If he isn’t redeemed by these means, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee, he, and his children with him.

⁵⁵สำหรับเรา คนอิสราเอลเป็นทาสของเรา เขาเป็นทาสของเราที่เราพาออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า"

⁵⁵For to me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.
