¹"เจ้าทั้งหลายอย่ากระทำรูปเคารพหรือรูปแกะสลักสำหรับตัว หรือตั้งเสาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และเจ้าทั้งหลายอย่าตั้งสิ่งใดๆที่เป็นรูปสัณฐานสิ่งหนึ่งสิ่งใดด้วยศิลาไว้ในแผ่นดินของเจ้า เพื่อแก่การกราบไหว้ เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

¹“‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, neither shall you raise up an engraved image or a pillar, neither shall you place any figured stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am Yahweh your God.

²เจ้าจงถือรักษาสะบาโตทั้งหลายของเราและคารวะต่อสถานบริสุทธิ์ของเรา เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

²“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh.

³ถ้าเจ้าทั้งหลายดำเนินตามกฎเกณฑ์ของเราและรักษาบัญญัติของเราและกระทำตาม

³“‘If you walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

⁴เราจะประทานฝนตามฤดูแก่เจ้า และแผ่นดินจะเกิดพืชผลและต้นไม้ในทุ่งจะบังเกิดผล

⁴then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

⁵และเวลานวดข้าวจะเนิ่นนานถึงฤดูเก็บผลองุ่น และฤดูเก็บผลองุ่นจะเนิ่นนานไปถึงฤดูหว่าน และเจ้าจะรับประทานอาหารอย่างอิ่มหนำ และอยู่ในแผ่นดินของเจ้าอย่างปลอดภัย

⁵Your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

⁶เราจะให้มีความสงบสุขในแผ่นดิน เจ้าทั้งหลายจะนอนลง และไม่มีผู้ใดที่จะทำให้เจ้ากลัว เราจะกำจัดสัตว์ร้ายจากแผ่นดินและดาบจะไม่ผ่านแผ่นดินของเจ้าเลย

⁶“‘I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and no one will make you afraid; and I will remove evil animals out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

⁷เจ้าจะขับไล่ศัตรูของเจ้า และเขาทั้งหลายจะล้มลงต่อหน้าเจ้าด้วยดาบ

⁷You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

⁸พวกเจ้าห้าคนจะขับไล่ศัตรูร้อยคนและพวกเจ้าร้อยคนจะขับไล่ศัตรูหมื่นคนให้กระจัดกระจายไป และศัตรูของเจ้าจะล้มลงด้วยดาบต่อหน้าเจ้า

⁸Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

⁹เพราะเราจะคิดถึงเจ้า จะกระทำให้เจ้ามีลูกดกและทวีมากขึ้น และตั้งพันธสัญญาของเราไว้กับเจ้า

⁹“‘I will have respect for you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.

¹⁰เจ้าจะได้รับประทานของที่สะสมไว้นาน และเจ้าจะต้องเอาของเก่าออกไปเพราะเหตุของใหม่นั้น

¹⁰You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall move out the old because of the new.

¹¹และเราจะตั้งพลับพลาของเราไว้ท่ามกลางเจ้าทั้งหลาย และจิตใจของเราจะไม่เกลียดเจ้า

¹¹I will set my tent among you: and my soul won’t abhor you.

¹²เราจะดำเนินในหมู่พวกเจ้า และจะเป็นพระเจ้าของเจ้า และเจ้าจะเป็นพลไพร่ของเรา

¹²I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you will be my people.

¹³เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า ผู้นำเจ้าออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เพื่อเจ้าจะมิได้เป็นทาสของเขา เราได้หักคานแอกของเจ้าออกเสีย เพื่อให้เจ้ายืนตัวตรงได้

¹³I am Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.

¹⁴ถ้าเจ้ามิได้เชื่อฟังเรา และจะไม่กระทำตามบัญญัติทั้งหมดเหล่านี้

¹⁴“‘But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these commandments;

¹⁵ถ้าเจ้าปฏิเสธกฎเกณฑ์ของเรา และใจของเจ้าเกลียดชังต่อคำตัดสินของเรา เจ้าจึงไม่กระทำตามบัญญัติทั้งสิ้นของเรา แต่ทำลายพันธสัญญาของเรา

¹⁵and if you shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant;

¹⁶เราก็จะกระทำดังนี้แก่เจ้า คือเราจะตั้งความหวาดกลัวต่อหน้าเจ้า ความผ่ายผอม และความเจ็บไข้ ซึ่งทำให้นัยน์ตาทรุดโทรม และกระทำให้จิตใจเศร้าหมอง เจ้าทั้งหลายจะหว่านพืชไว้เสียเปล่า เพราะศัตรูของเจ้าจะมากิน

¹⁶I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away; and you will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it.

¹⁷เราจะตั้งหน้าของเราต่อสู้เจ้า เจ้าจะล้มตายต่อหน้าศัตรูของเจ้าทั้งหลาย คนที่เกลียดชังเจ้าจะปกครองอยู่เหนือเจ้า เจ้าจะหลบหนีไปทั้งที่ไม่มีใครไล่ติดตาม

¹⁷I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.

¹⁸ถ้าเจ้าทั้งหลายยังไม่เชื่อฟังเราเพราะสิ่งทั้งปวงเหล่านี้ เราจึงจะลงโทษเจ้าทั้งหลายให้ทวีขึ้นอีกเจ็ดเท่าเพราะการบาปของเจ้า

¹⁸“‘If you in spite of these things will not listen to me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.

¹⁹เราจะทำลายความเห่อเหิมในกำลังอำนาจของเจ้า เราจะกระทำให้ฟ้าสวรรค์ของเจ้าเหมือนเหล็ก และพื้นดินของเจ้าเหมือนทองสัมฤทธิ์

¹⁹I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like brass;

²⁰เจ้าทั้งหลายจะเปลืองกำลังเสียเปล่าๆ เพราะว่าแผ่นดินของเจ้าจะไม่มีพืชผล และต้นไม้ในแผ่นดินก็จะไม่บังเกิดผล

²⁰and your strength will be spent in vain; for your land won’t yield its increase, neither will the trees of the land yield their fruit.

²¹ถ้าเจ้ายังดำเนินขัดแย้งเราอยู่และไม่เชื่อฟังเรา เราจะนำภัยพิบัติให้ทวีอีกเจ็ดเท่ามายังเจ้าตามการบาปทั้งหลายของเจ้า

²¹“‘If you walk contrary to me, and won’t listen to me, then I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.

²²เราจะปล่อยสัตว์ป่าเข้ามาท่ามกลางพวกเจ้าด้วย มันจะแย่งชิงลูกหลานของเจ้า และทำลายสัตว์ใช้งานของเจ้า และทำให้เจ้าเหลือน้อย และถนนหลวงของเจ้าก็จะร้างเปล่าไป

²²I will send the wild animals among you, which will rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your roads will become desolate.

²³และถ้าด้วยสิ่งเหล่านี้เจ้ายังไม่หันมาหาเรา และยังประพฤติขัดแย้งเราอยู่

²³“‘If by these things you won’t be reformed to me, but will walk contrary to me;

²⁴แล้วเราจะดำเนินการขัดแย้งเจ้าทั้งหลายด้วย และจะลงโทษแก่เจ้าให้ทวีอีกเจ็ดเท่าเพราะการบาปทั้งหลายของเจ้า

²⁴then I will also walk contrary to you; and I will strike you, even I, seven times for your sins.

²⁵เราจะนำดาบมาเหนือเจ้า ซึ่งลงโทษเจ้าตามพันธสัญญา ถ้าเจ้าเข้ามารวมกันอยู่ในเมือง เราจะนำโรคร้ายมาในหมู่พวกเจ้า และเจ้าจะตกอยู่ในมือของศัตรู

²⁵I will bring a sword upon you, that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; and you will be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

²⁶เมื่อเราทำลายเสบียงอาหารของเจ้า ผู้หญิงสิบคนจะปิ้งขนมของเจ้าด้วยเตาอบอันเดียว แล้วเอาขนมมาชั่งให้เจ้า เจ้าจะรับประทานแต่จะไม่อิ่ม

²⁶When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.

²⁷แล้วถ้าเป็นอย่างนี้แล้ว เจ้ายังไม่เชื่อฟังเรา แต่ประพฤติขัดแย้งเรา

²⁷“‘If you in spite of this won’t listen to me, but walk contrary to me;

²⁸เราจะดำเนินการขัดแย้งเจ้าอย่างรุนแรง และเราเองจะลงโทษแก่เจ้าให้ทวีอีกเจ็ดเท่าเพราะการบาปทั้งหลายของเจ้า

²⁸then I will walk contrary to you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.

²⁹เจ้าจะกินเนื้อบุตรชายของเจ้า และเจ้าจะกินเนื้อบุตรสาวของเจ้า

²⁹You will eat the flesh of your sons, and you will eat the flesh of your daughters.

³⁰เราจะทำลายปูชนียสถานสูงทั้งหลายของเจ้า และตัดทำลายรูปเคารพทั้งหลายของเจ้า และโยนศพของเจ้าลงเหนือซากรูปเคารพของเจ้า และจิตใจของเราจะเกลียดชังเจ้า

³⁰I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.

³¹เราจะให้เมืองของเจ้าถูกทิ้งไว้เสียเปล่า และจะกระทำให้สถานบริสุทธิ์ของเจ้ารกร้างไป และเราจะไม่ดมกลิ่นอันหอมหวานของเจ้า

³¹I will lay your cities waste, and will bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not take delight in the sweet fragrance of your offerings.

³²และเราจะนำแผ่นดินนั้นไปสู่การรกร้างและศัตรูของเจ้าที่อาศัยอยู่ในนั้นจะตกตะลึงกับแผ่นดินนั้น

³²I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell therein will be astonished at it.

³³และเราจะให้พวกเจ้ากระจัดกระจายไปอยู่ท่ามกลางประชาชาติ และเราจะชักดาบออกมาไล่ตามเจ้า และแผ่นดินของเจ้าจะรกร้าง และเมืองของเจ้าจะถูกทิ้งเสียเปล่าๆ

³³I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you: and your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

³⁴แผ่นดินจะชื่นชมกับสะบาโตเหล่านั้นของมันตราบเท่าที่แผ่นดินนั้นยังว่างเปล่าอยู่ และเจ้าต้องไปอยู่ในแผ่นดินของศัตรู ซึ่งขณะนั้นแผ่นดินก็จะได้หยุดพัก และชื่นชมกับสะบาโตเหล่านั้นของมัน

³⁴Then the land will enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths.

³⁵ตราบเท่าที่แผ่นดินยังว่างเปล่าอยู่ก็มันจะได้หยุดพัก เพราะมิได้หยุดพักในสะบาโตของพวกเจ้าขณะเมื่อเจ้าอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินนั้น

³⁵As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your sabbaths, when you lived on it.

³⁶ส่วนพวกเจ้าทั้งหลายที่ยังเหลืออยู่เราจะให้เขามีใจอ่อนแอในแผ่นดินของศัตรู จนเสียงใบไม้ไหวจะไล่ตามเขา และเขาจะหนีเหมือนคนหนีจากดาบ และเขาจะล้มลงทั้งที่ไม่มีคนไล่ติดตาม

³⁶“‘As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword; and they will fall when no one pursues.

³⁷และเขาทั้งหลายจะล้มลงทับกันและกัน เหมือนคนหนีดาบทั้งที่ไม่มีคนตามมา และเจ้าจะไม่มีกำลังต่อต้านศัตรูของเจ้า

³⁷They will stumble over one another, as it were before the sword, when no one pursues: and you will have no power to stand before your enemies.

³⁸เจ้าทั้งหลายจะพินาศท่ามกลางบรรดาประชาชาติและแผ่นดินของศัตรูของเจ้าจะกินเจ้าเสีย

³⁸You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will eat you up.

³⁹ส่วนเจ้าทั้งหลายที่เหลืออยู่จะทรุดโทรมไปในแผ่นดินศัตรูของเจ้านั้นเพราะความชั่วช้าของตน และเพราะความชั่วช้าของบรรพบุรุษของตน เขาจะต้องทรุดโทรมไปอย่างบรรพบุรุษด้วย

³⁹Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

⁴⁰แต่ถ้าเขาทั้งหลายสารภาพความชั่วช้าของเขา และความชั่วช้าของบรรพบุรุษ ซึ่งเขาทั้งหลายกระทำการละเมิดต่อเรา ด้วยการละเมิดของเขานั้น และที่ได้ประพฤติขัดแย้งเราด้วย

⁴⁰“‘If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me,

⁴¹และเราจึงดำเนินการขัดแย้งเขาทั้งหลายด้วย และได้นำเขาเข้าแผ่นดินแห่งศัตรูของเขา ถ้าเมื่อนั้นจิตใจอันนอกรีตของเขาถ่อมลงแล้ว และเขายอมรับโทษเพราะความชั่วช้าของเขาแล้ว

⁴¹I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies: if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity;

⁴²เราจึงจะระลึกถึงพันธสัญญาของเราซึ่งมีต่อยาโคบ และพันธสัญญาของเราซึ่งมีต่ออิสอัค และพันธสัญญาของเราซึ่งมีต่ออับราฮัม และเราจะระลึกถึงแผ่นดินนั้น

⁴²then I will remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.

⁴³แต่แผ่นดินจะต้องถูกละไว้จากเขาและจะได้ชื่นชมกับสะบาโตเหล่านั้นของมันขณะที่มันยังว่างเปล่าอยู่โดยไม่มีพวกเขาทั้งหลาย เขาทั้งหลายจะยอมรับการลงโทษในความชั่วช้าของเขา เพราะเขาได้รังเกียจคำตัดสินของเรา และเพราะจิตใจของเขาเกลียดชังกฎเกณฑ์ของเรา

⁴³The land also will be left by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them: and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they rejected my ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes.

⁴⁴ถึงเพียงนั้นก็ดี เมื่อเขาทั้งหลายอยู่ในแผ่นดินศัตรูของเขา เราจะไม่ละทิ้งเขา เราจะไม่เกลียดชังเขาถึงกับจะทำลายเขาเสียให้หมดทีเดียว และทำลายพันธสัญญาซึ่งมีกับเขาเสีย เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเขา

⁴⁴Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God;

⁴⁵เพราะเห็นแก่เขาเราจะรำลึกถึงพันธสัญญาซึ่งมีต่อบรรพบุรุษของเขา ผู้ซึ่งเราได้พาเขาออกมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ท่ามกลางสายตาของบรรดาประชาชาติ เพื่อเราจะได้เป็นพระเจ้าของเขา เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์"

⁴⁵but I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Yahweh.’”

⁴⁶สิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นกฎเกณฑ์และคำตัดสิน และพระราชบัญญัติ ซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกระทำไว้ระหว่างพระองค์กับชนชาติอิสราเอลบนภูเขาซีนายโดยมือโมเสส

⁴⁶These are the statutes, ordinances and laws, which Yahweh made between him and the children of Israel in Mount Sinai by Moses.
