¹ข่าวประเสริฐของพระเยซูคริสต์พระบุตรของพระเจ้าเริ่มต้นตรงนี้

¹The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

²ตามที่ได้เขียนไว้ในคำของศาสดาพยากรณ์ว่า `ดูเถิด เราใช้ทูตของเราไปข้างหน้าท่าน ผู้นั้นจะเตรียมมรรคาของท่านไว้ข้างหน้าท่าน

²As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you. Malachi 3:1

³The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’” Isaiah 40:3

⁴ยอห์นให้เขารับบัพติศมาในถิ่นทุรกันดาร และประกาศเรื่องบัพติศมาอันสำแดงการกลับใจใหม่ เพื่อการยกโทษความผิดบาป

⁴John came baptizing or, immersing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.

⁵คนทั่วแคว้นยูเดียกับชาวกรุงเยรูซาเล็มได้พากันออกไปหายอห์น สารภาพความผิดบาปของตน และได้รับบัพติศมาจากท่านในแม่น้ำจอร์แดน

⁵All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.

⁶ยอห์นแต่งกายด้วยผ้าขนอูฐ และใช้หนังสัตว์คาดเอว รับประทานตั๊กแตนและน้ำผึ้งป่า

⁶John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.

⁷ท่านประกาศว่า "ภายหลังเราจะมีพระองค์ผู้หนึ่งเสด็จมาทรงเป็นใหญ่กว่าเราอีก ซึ่งเราไม่คู่ควรแม้จะน้อมตัวลงแก้สายฉลองพระบาทให้พระองค์

⁷He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.

⁸จริงๆแล้วเราให้เจ้าทั้งหลายรับบัพติศมาด้วยน้ำ แต่พระองค์นั้นจะให้เจ้าทั้งหลายรับบัพติศมาด้วยพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์"

⁸I baptized you in The Greek word (en) translated here as “in” could also be translated as “with” in some contexts. water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”

⁹ต่อมาในคราวนั้นพระเยซูเสด็จมาจากเมืองนาซาเร็ธแคว้นกาลิลี และได้ทรงรับบัพติศมาจากยอห์นในแม่น้ำจอร์แดน

⁹It happened in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

¹⁰พอพระองค์เสด็จขึ้นมาจากน้ำ ในทันใดนั้นก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นท้องฟ้าแหวกออก และพระวิญญาณดุจนกเขาเสด็จลงมาบนพระองค์

¹⁰Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting, and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

¹¹แล้วมีพระสุรเสียงมาจากฟ้าสวรรค์ว่า "ท่านเป็นบุตรที่รักของเรา เราชอบใจในท่านมาก"

¹¹A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

¹²ในทันใดนั้น พระวิญญาณจึงเร่งเร้าพระองค์ให้เสด็จเข้าไปในถิ่นทุรกันดาร

¹²Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.

¹³และซาตานได้ทดลองพระองค์อยู่ในถิ่นทุรกันดารนั้นถึงสี่สิบวัน พระองค์ทรงอยู่ในที่ของสัตว์ป่า และมีพวกทูตสวรรค์มาปรนนิบัติพระองค์

¹³He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.

¹⁴ครั้นยอห์นถูกขังไว้ในคุกแล้ว พระเยซูได้เสด็จมายังแคว้นกาลิลี ทรงประกาศข่าวประเสริฐแห่งอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า

¹⁴Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God,

¹⁵และตรัสว่า "เวลากำหนดมาถึงแล้ว และอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็มาใกล้แล้ว ท่านทั้งหลายจงกลับใจเสียใหม่ และเชื่อข่าวประเสริฐเถิด"

¹⁵and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

¹⁶ขณะที่พระองค์เสด็จไปตามชายทะเลสาบกาลิลี พระองค์ก็ทรงทอดพระเนตรเห็นซีโมนและอันดรูว์น้องชายของซีโมน กำลังทอดอวนอยู่ที่ทะเลสาบ ด้วยว่าเขาเป็นชาวประมง

¹⁶Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

¹⁷พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาว่า "ท่านจงตามเรามาเถิด และเราจะตั้งท่านให้เป็นผู้หาคนดังหาปลา"

¹⁷Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”

¹⁸เขาก็ละอวนตามพระองค์ไปทันที

¹⁸Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.

¹⁹ครั้นพระองค์ทรงดำเนินต่อไปอีกหน่อยหนึ่ง พระองค์ก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นยากอบบุตรชายเศเบดีกับยอห์นน้องชายของเขา กำลังชุนอวนอยู่ในเรือ

¹⁹Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.

²⁰ในทันใดนั้นพระองค์ได้ทรงเรียกเขา เขาจึงละเศเบดีบิดาของเขาไว้ที่เรือกับลูกจ้าง และได้ตามพระองค์ไป

²⁰Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

²¹พระองค์กับพวกของพระองค์จึงเข้าไปในเมืองคาเปอรนาอุม และพอถึงวันสะบาโตพระองค์ได้เสด็จเข้าไปในธรรมศาลาเทศนาสั่งสอน

²¹They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.

²²เขาทั้งหลายก็อัศจรรย์ใจด้วยคำสั่งสอนของพระองค์ เพราะว่าพระองค์ได้ทรงสั่งสอนเขาด้วยสิทธิอำนาจ หาเหมือนพวกธรรมาจารย์ไม่

²²They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

²³มีชายคนหนึ่งในธรรมศาลาของเขามีผีโสโครกเข้าสิง มันได้ร้องออกมา

²³Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

²⁴ว่า "พระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธ ปล่อยเราไว้ ท่านมายุ่งกับเราทำไม ท่านมาทำลายเราหรือ เรารู้ว่าท่านเป็นผู้ใด ท่านคือองค์บริสุทธิ์ของพระเจ้า"

²⁴saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!”

²⁵พระเยซูจึงตรัสห้ามมันว่า "เจ้าจงนิ่งเสีย ออกมาจากเขาซิ"

²⁵Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”

²⁶และเมื่อผีโสโครกทำให้คนนั้นชักและร้องเสียงดังแล้ว มันก็ออกมาจากเขา

²⁶The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.

²⁷คนทั้งปวงก็ประหลาดใจนักจึงถามกันว่า "การนี้เป็นอย่างไรหนอ นี่เป็นคำสั่งสอนใหม่อะไร ท่านสั่งผีโสโครกด้วยสิทธิอำนาจและมันก็เชื่อฟังท่าน"

²⁷They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”

²⁸ในขณะนั้น กิตติศัพท์ของพระองค์ได้เลื่องลือไปทั่วแว่นแคว้นบ้านเมืองที่อยู่รอบแขวงกาลิลี

²⁸The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.

²⁹พอออกมาจากธรรมศาลา พระองค์กับพวกของพระองค์จึงเข้าไปในเรือนของซีโมนและอันดรูว์ พร้อมกับยากอบและยอห์น

²⁹Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

³⁰แม่ยายของซีโมนนอนป่วยจับไข้อยู่ ในทันใดนั้นเขาจึงมาทูลพระองค์ให้ทราบด้วยเรื่องของนาง

³⁰Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.

³¹แล้วพระองค์ก็เสด็จไปจับมือนางพยุงขึ้นและทันใดนั้นไข้ก็หาย นางจึงปรนนิบัติเขาทั้งหลาย

³¹He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her, and she served them.

³²เวลาเย็นวันนั้นครั้นตะวันตกแล้ว คนทั้งหลายพาบรรดาคนเจ็บป่วย และคนที่มีผีสิง มาหาพระองค์

³²At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons.

³³และคนทั้งเมืองก็แตกตื่นมาออกันอยู่ที่ประตู

³³All the city was gathered together at the door.

³⁴พระองค์จึงทรงรักษาคนเป็นโรคต่างๆให้หายหลายคน และได้ทรงขับผีออกเสียหลายผี แต่ผีเหล่านั้นพระองค์ทรงห้ามมิให้พูด เพราะว่ามันรู้จักพระองค์

³⁴He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.

³⁵ครั้นเวลาเช้ามืดพระองค์ได้ทรงลุกขึ้นเสด็จออกไปยังที่เปลี่ยว และทรงอธิษฐานที่นั่น

³⁵Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.

³⁶ฝ่ายซีโมนและคนทั้งหลายที่อยู่ด้วยก็ตามหาพระองค์

³⁶Simon and those who were with him followed after him;

³⁷เมื่อพวกเขาพบพระองค์แล้ว เขาจึงทูลพระองค์ว่า "คนทั้งปวงแสวงหาพระองค์"

³⁷and they found him, and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”

³⁸พระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ให้เราทั้งหลายไปในบ้านเมืองใกล้เคียง เพื่อเราจะได้ประกาศที่นั่นด้วย ที่เรามาก็เพื่อการนั้นเอง"

³⁸He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”

³⁹พระองค์ได้ประกาศในธรรมศาลาของเขาทั่วแคว้นกาลิลี และได้ขับผีออกเสียหลายผี

³⁹He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.

⁴⁰และมีคนโรคเรื้อนคนหนึ่งมาหาพระองค์ คุกเข่าลงทูลวิงวอนพระองค์ว่า "เพียงแต่พระองค์จะโปรด พระองค์ก็จะทรงบันดาลให้ข้าพระองค์หายโรคได้"

⁴⁰A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”

⁴¹พระเยซูทรงสงสารเขาจึงทรงยื่นพระหัตถ์ถูกต้องคนนั้น ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "เราพอใจแล้ว เจ้าจงหายเถิด"

⁴¹Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”

⁴²พอพระองค์ตรัสแล้ว ในทันใดนั้นโรคเรื้อนก็หาย และคนนั้นก็สะอาด

⁴²When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.

⁴³ก่อนให้เขาไป พระองค์จึงกำชับผู้นั้น

⁴³He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out,

⁴⁴ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "เจ้าอย่าบอกเล่าอะไรให้ผู้ใดฟังเลย แต่จงไปสำแดงตัวแก่ปุโรหิต และถวายเครื่องบูชาสำหรับคนที่หายโรคเรื้อนแล้ว ตามซึ่งโมเสสได้สั่งไว้ เพื่อเป็นหลักฐานต่อคนทั้งหลาย"

⁴⁴and said to him, “See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

⁴⁵แต่คนนั้นเมื่อออกไปแล้วก็ตั้งต้นป่าวร้องมากมายให้เลื่องลือไป จนพระเยซูจะเสด็จเข้าไปในเมืองโดยเปิดเผยต่อไปไม่ได้ แต่ต้องประทับภายนอกในที่เปลี่ยว และมีคนทุกแห่งทุกตำบลมาหาพระองค์

⁴⁵But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.
