¹เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จออกจากพระวิหาร มีสาวกของพระองค์คนหนึ่งทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ดูเถิด ศิลาและตึกเหล่านี้ใหญ่จริง"

¹As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”

²พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่สาวกนั้นว่า "ท่านเห็นตึกใหญ่เหล่านี้หรือ ศิลาที่ซ้อนทับกันอยู่ที่นี่ซึ่งจะไม่ถูกทำลายลงก็ไม่มี"

²Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”

³เมื่อพระองค์ประทับบนภูเขามะกอกเทศตรงหน้าพระวิหาร เปโตร ยากอบ ยอห์นและอันดรูว์มากราบทูลถามพระองค์ส่วนตัวว่า

³As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

⁴"ขอทรงโปรดให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายทราบว่า เหตุการณ์เหล่านี้จะบังเกิดขึ้นเมื่อไร สิ่งไรจะเป็นหมายสำคัญว่าการณ์ทั้งปวงนี้จวนจะสำเร็จ"

⁴“Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”

⁵พระเยซูจึงตั้งต้นตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ระวังให้ดี อย่าให้ผู้ใดล่อลวงท่านให้หลง

⁵Jesus, answering, began to tell them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

⁶ด้วยว่าจะมีหลายคนมาต่างอ้างนามของเราว่า `เราเป็นพระคริสต์' และจะล่อลวงคนเป็นอันมากให้หลงไป

⁶ For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he! or, “I AM!” ’ and will lead many astray.

⁷เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะได้ยินถึงการสงครามและข่าวลือเรื่องสงคราม อย่าตื่นตระหนกเลย ด้วยว่าบรรดาสิ่งเหล่านี้จำต้องบังเกิดขึ้น แต่ที่สุดปลายยังไม่มาถึง

⁷ “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁸เพราะประชาชาติต่อประชาชาติ ราชอาณาจักรต่อราชอาณาจักรจะต่อสู้กัน ทั้งจะเกิดแผ่นดินไหวในที่ต่างๆ และจะเกิดกันดารอาหารและความทุกข์ยาก เหตุการณ์ทั้งปวงนี้เป็นขั้นแรกแห่งความทุกข์ลำบาก

⁸ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.

⁹แต่จงระวังตัวให้ดี เพราะคนเขาจะมอบท่านทั้งหลายไว้กับศาล และจะเฆี่ยนท่านในธรรมศาลา และท่านจะต้องยืนต่อหน้าเจ้าเมืองและกษัตริย์เพราะเห็นแก่เรา เพื่อจะได้เป็นพยานแก่เขา

⁹ But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.

¹⁰ข่าวประเสริฐจะต้องประกาศทั่วประชาชาติทั้งปวงก่อน

¹⁰ The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

¹¹แต่ว่าเมื่อเขาจะนำท่านมามอบไว้นั้น อย่าเป็นกังวลก่อนว่าจะพูดอะไรดี และอย่าตรึกตรองเลย แต่จงพูดตามซึ่งได้ทรงโปรดให้ท่านพูดในเวลานั้น เพราะว่าผู้ที่พูดนั้นมิใช่ตัวท่านเอง แต่เป็นพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์

¹¹ When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

¹²แม้ว่าพี่ก็จะทรยศน้องให้ถึงความตาย พ่อก็จะมอบลูก และลูกก็จะทรยศต่อพ่อแม่ให้ถึงแก่ความตาย

¹² “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹³คนทั้งปวงจะเกลียดชังท่านเพราะนามของเรา แต่ผู้ใดทนได้จนถึงที่สุด ผู้นั้นจะรอด

¹³ You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

¹⁴แต่เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะเห็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนซึ่งกระทำให้เกิดการรกร้างว่างเปล่า ที่ดาเนียลศาสดาพยากรณ์ได้กล่าวถึงนั้น ตั้งอยู่ในที่ซึ่งไม่สมควรจะตั้ง" (ให้ผู้อ่านเข้าใจเอาเถิด) "เวลานั้นให้ผู้ที่อยู่ในแคว้นยูเดียหนีไปยังภูเขา

¹⁴ But when you see the abomination of desolation, Daniel 9:17; 11:31; 12:11 spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

¹⁵ผู้ที่อยู่บนดาดฟ้าหลังคาบ้าน อย่าให้ลงมาเข้าไปเก็บเอาสิ่งของในบ้านของตนเลย

¹⁵ and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.

¹⁶ผู้ที่อยู่ตามทุ่งนา อย่าให้กลับไปเอาเสื้อผ้าของตน

¹⁶ Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

¹⁷แต่ในวันเหล่านั้น อนิจจาน่าสงสารหญิงที่มีครรภ์หรือมีลูกอ่อนกินนมอยู่

¹⁷ But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!

¹⁸ท่านทั้งหลายจงอธิษฐานขอเพื่อเหตุการณ์เหล่านี้จะไม่เกิดขึ้นในฤดูหนาว

¹⁸ Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.

¹⁹ด้วยว่าในคราวนั้นจะเกิดความทุกข์ลำบากอย่างที่ไม่เคยมี ตั้งแต่พระเจ้าทรงสร้างโลกมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ และในเบื้องหน้าจะไม่มีต่อไปอีก

¹⁹ For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

²⁰ถ้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ามิได้ทรงให้วันเหล่านั้นย่นสั้นเข้า จะไม่มีเนื้อหนังใดๆรอดได้เลย แต่เพราะทรงเห็นแก่ผู้ถูกเลือกสรรซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงเลือกไว้ พระองค์จึงทรงให้วันเหล่านั้นย่นสั้นเข้า

²⁰ Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

²¹และในเวลานั้น ถ้าผู้ใดจะบอกพวกท่านว่า `ดูเถิด พระคริสต์อยู่ที่นี่' หรือ `ดูเถิด อยู่ที่โน่น' อย่าได้เชื่อเลย

²¹ Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.

²²ด้วยว่าจะมีพระคริสต์เทียมเท็จและผู้ทำนายเทียมเท็จหลายคนเกิดขึ้น ทำหมายสำคัญและการมหัศจรรย์เพื่อล่อลวงผู้ที่ถูกเลือกสรรแล้วให้หลง ถ้าเป็นได้

²² For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

²³แต่ท่านทั้งหลายจงระวังให้ดี ดูเถิด เราได้บอกสิ่งสารพัดให้แก่ท่านทั้งหลายไว้ก่อนแล้ว

²³ But you watch. “Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

²⁴ภายหลังเมื่อคราวลำบากนั้นพ้นไปแล้ว `ดวงอาทิตย์จะมืดไป และดวงจันทร์จะไม่ส่องแสง

²⁴ But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,

²⁵ดวงดาวทั้งปวงจะตกจากฟ้า และบรรดาสิ่งที่มีอำนาจในท้องฟ้าจะสะเทือนสะท้าน'

²⁵ the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. Isaiah 13:10; 34:4

²⁶เมื่อนั้นเขาจะเห็น `บุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาบนเมฆ' ทรงฤทธานุภาพและสง่าราศีเป็นอันมาก

²⁶ Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

²⁷เมื่อนั้นพระองค์จะทรงใช้เหล่าทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์ ให้รวบรวมคนทั้งปวงที่พระองค์ทรงเลือกสรรไว้แล้วทั้งสี่ทิศนั้น ตั้งแต่ที่สุดปลายแผ่นดินโลกจนถึงที่สุดขอบฟ้า

²⁷ Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

²⁸จงเรียนคำอุปมาเรื่องต้นมะเดื่อ เมื่อแตกกิ่งแตกใบ ท่านก็รู้ว่าฤดูร้อนใกล้จะถึงแล้ว

²⁸ “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

²⁹เช่นนั้นแหละ เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายเห็นเหตุการณ์เหล่านั้นเกิดขึ้น ก็ให้รู้ว่า พระองค์เสด็จมาใกล้จะถึงประตูแล้ว

²⁹ even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

³⁰เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า คนชั่วอายุนี้จะไม่ล่วงลับไปก่อนสิ่งทั้งปวงนั้นบังเกิดขึ้น

³⁰ Most certainly I say to you, this generation The word translated “generation” (genea) could also be translated “race,” “family,” or “people.” will not pass away until all these things happen.

³¹ฟ้าและดินจะล่วงไป แต่ถ้อยคำของเราจะสูญหายไปหามิได้เลย

³¹ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

³²แต่วันนั้นโมงนั้นไม่มีใครรู้ ถึงบรรดาทูตสวรรค์ในสวรรค์หรือพระบุตรก็ไม่รู้ รู้แต่พระบิดาองค์เดียว

³² But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

³³จงเฝ้าระวังและอธิษฐานอยู่ เพราะท่านไม่รู้ว่าเวลาวันนั้นจะมาถึงเมื่อไร

³³ Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.

³⁴ด้วยว่าบุตรมนุษย์เปรียบเหมือนเจ้าของบ้านคนหนึ่งที่ออกจากบ้านไปทางไกล มอบสิทธิอำนาจให้แก่พวกผู้รับใช้ของเขา และให้รู้การงานของตนว่ามีหน้าที่อะไรและได้สั่งนายประตูให้เฝ้าบ้านอยู่

³⁴ “It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

³⁵เหตุฉะนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายจงเฝ้าระวังอยู่ เพราะท่านไม่รู้ว่าเจ้าของบ้านจะมาเมื่อไร จะมาเวลาค่ำ หรือเที่ยงคืน หรือเวลาไก่ขัน หรือรุ่งเช้า

³⁵ Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;

³⁶กลัวว่าจะมาฉับพลันและจะพบท่านนอนหลับอยู่

³⁶ lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.

³⁷ซึ่งเราบอกพวกท่าน เราก็บอกคนทั้งปวงด้วยว่า จงเฝ้าระวังอยู่เถิด"

³⁷ What I tell you, I tell all: Watch.”
