¹ครั้นรุ่งเช้า บรรดาพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกผู้ใหญ่แห่งประชาชนปรึกษากันด้วยเรื่องพระเยซู เพื่อจะประหารพระองค์เสีย

¹Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

²เขาจึงมัดพระองค์พาไปมอบไว้แก่ปอนทัสปีลาตเจ้าเมือง

²and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.

³เมื่อยูดาสผู้ทรยศพระองค์เห็นว่าพระองค์ต้องปรับโทษก็กลับใจ นำเงินสามสิบเหรียญนั้นมาคืนให้แก่พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกผู้ใหญ่

³Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that Jesus was condemned, felt remorse, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

⁴กล่าวว่า "ข้าพเจ้าได้ทำบาปที่ได้ทรยศโลหิตอันบริสุทธิ์" คนเหล่านั้นจึงว่า "การนั้นเป็นธุระอะไรของเรา เจ้าต้องรับธุระเอาเอง"

⁴saying, “I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? You see to it.”

⁵ยูดาสจึงทิ้งเงินนั้นไว้ในพระวิหารและจากไป แล้วเขาก็ออกไปผูกคอตาย

⁵He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary, and departed. He went away and hanged himself.

⁶พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่จึงเก็บเอาเงินนั้นมาแล้วว่า "เป็นการผิดพระราชบัญญัติที่จะเก็บเงินนั้นไว้ในคลังพระวิหาร เพราะเป็นค่าโลหิต"

⁶The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, “It’s not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.”

⁷เขาก็ปรึกษากันและได้เอาเงินนั้นไปซื้อทุ่งช่างหม้อไว้ สำหรับเป็นที่ฝังศพคนต่างบ้านต่างเมือง

⁷They took counsel, and bought the potter’s field with them, to bury strangers in.

⁸เหตุฉะนั้น เขาจึงเรียกทุ่งนั้นว่า ทุ่งโลหิต จนถึงทุกวันนี้

⁸Therefore that field was called “The Field of Blood” to this day.

⁹ครั้งนั้นก็สำเร็จตามพระวจนะโดยเยเรมีย์ศาสดาพยากรณ์ ซึ่งว่า `เขารับเงินสามสิบเหรียญ ซึ่งเป็นราคาของผู้ที่เขาตีราคาไว้นั้น' คือที่คนอิสราเอลบางคนตีราคาไว้

⁹Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah some manuscripts omit “Jeremiah” the prophet was fulfilled, saying, “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of the children of Israel priced,

¹⁰`แล้วไปซื้อทุ่งช่างหม้อ ตามที่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ทรงบัญชาข้าพเจ้า'

¹⁰and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.” Zechariah 11:12-13; Jeremiah 19:1-13; 32:6-9

¹¹เมื่อพระเยซูทรงยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าเจ้าเมือง เจ้าเมืองจึงถามพระองค์ว่า "ท่านเป็นกษัตริย์ของพวกยิวหรือ" พระเยซูตรัสกับท่านว่า "ก็ท่านว่าแล้วนี่"

¹¹Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him, “So you say.”

¹²แต่เมื่อพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกผู้ใหญ่ได้ฟ้องกล่าวโทษพระองค์ พระองค์มิได้ทรงตอบประการใด

¹²When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

¹³ปีลาตจึงกล่าวแก่พระองค์ว่า "ซึ่งเขาได้กล่าวความปรักปรำท่านเป็นหลายประการนี้ ท่านไม่ได้ยินหรือ"

¹³Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many things they testify against you?”

¹⁴แต่พระองค์ก็มิได้ตรัสตอบท่านสักคำเดียว เจ้าเมืองจึงอัศจรรย์ใจนัก

¹⁴He gave him no answer, not even one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.

¹⁵ในเทศกาลเลี้ยงนั้น เจ้าเมืองเคยปล่อยนักโทษคนหนึ่งให้แก่หมู่ชนตามใจชอบ

¹⁵Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they desired.

¹⁶คราวนั้นพวกเขามีนักโทษสำคัญคนหนึ่งชื่อบารับบัส

¹⁶They had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

¹⁷เหตุฉะนั้นเมื่อคนทั้งปวงชุมนุมกันแล้ว ปีลาตได้ถามเขาว่า "เจ้าทั้งหลายปรารถนาให้ข้าพเจ้าปล่อยผู้ใดแก่เจ้า บารับบัสหรือพระเยซูที่เรียกว่า พระคริสต์"

¹⁷When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is called Christ?”

¹⁸เพราะท่านรู้อยู่แล้วว่าเขาได้มอบพระองค์ไว้ด้วยความอิจฉา

¹⁸For he knew that because of envy they had delivered him up.

¹⁹ขณะเมื่อปีลาตนั่งบัลลังก์พิพากษาอยู่นั้น ภรรยาของท่านได้ใช้คนมาเรียนท่านว่า "ท่านอย่าพัวพันเรื่องของคนชอบธรรมนั้นเลย ด้วยว่าวันนี้ดิฉันฝันร้ายไม่มีความสบายใจเพราะท่านผู้นั้น"

¹⁹While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.”

²⁰ฝ่ายพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกผู้ใหญ่ก็ยุยงหมู่ชนขอให้ปล่อยบารับบัส และให้ประหารพระเยซูเสีย

²⁰Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes to ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

²¹เจ้าเมืองจึงถามเขาว่า "ในสองคนนี้เจ้าจะให้เราปล่อยคนไหนให้แก่เจ้า" เขาตอบว่า "บารับบัส"

²¹But the governor answered them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!”

²²ปีลาตจึงถามพวกเขาว่า "ถ้าอย่างนั้น เราจะทำอย่างไรแก่พระเยซูที่เรียกว่า พระคริสต์" เขาพากันร้องแก่ท่านว่า "ให้ตรึงเขาเสียที่กางเขนเถิด"

²²Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do to Jesus, who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let him be crucified!”

²³เจ้าเมืองถามว่า "ตรึงทำไม เขาได้ทำผิดประการใด" แต่เขาทั้งหลายยิ่งร้องว่า "ให้ตรึงเขาเสียที่กางเขนเถิด"

²³But the governor said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, saying, “Let him be crucified!”

²⁴เมื่อปีลาตเห็นว่าไม่ได้การมีแต่จะเกิดวุ่นวายขึ้น ท่านก็เอาน้ำล้างมือต่อหน้าหมู่ชน แล้วว่า "เราไม่มีผิดด้วยเรื่องโลหิตของคนชอบธรรมคนนี้ เจ้ารับธุระเอาเองเถิด"

²⁴So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. You see to it.”

²⁵บรรดาหมู่ชนเรียนว่า "ให้โลหิตของเขาตกอยู่แก่เราทั้งบุตรของเราเถิด"

²⁵All the people answered, “May his blood be on us, and on our children!”

²⁶ท่านจึงปล่อยบารับบัสให้เขา และเมื่อท่านได้โบยตีพระเยซูแล้ว ท่านก็มอบให้ตรึงไว้ที่กางเขน

²⁶Then he released to them Barabbas, but Jesus he flogged and delivered to be crucified.

²⁷พวกทหารของเจ้าเมืองจึงพาพระเยซูไปไว้ในศาลาปรีโทเรียม แล้วก็รวมทหารทั้งกองล้อมพระองค์ไว้

²⁷Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him.

²⁸และพวกเขาเปลื้องฉลองพระองค์ออก เอาเสื้อสีแดงเข้มมาสวมพระองค์

²⁸They stripped him, and put a scarlet robe on him.

²⁹เมื่อพวกเขาเอาหนามสานเป็นมงกุฎ เขาก็สวมพระเศียรของพระองค์ แล้วเอาไม้อ้อให้ถือไว้ในพระหัตถ์เบื้องขวาของพระองค์ และเขาได้คุกเข่าลงต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์ เยาะเย้ยพระองค์ว่า "กษัตริย์ของพวกยิวเจ้าข้า ขอทรงพระเจริญ"

²⁹They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

³⁰แล้วเขาก็ถ่มน้ำลายรดพระองค์ และเอาไม้อ้อนั้นตีพระเศียรพระองค์

³⁰They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.

³¹เมื่อพวกเขาเยาะเย้ยพระองค์แล้ว เขาถอดเสื้อนั้นออก แล้วเอาฉลองพระองค์สวมให้ และนำพระองค์ออกไปเพื่อจะตรึงเสียที่กางเขน

³¹When they had mocked him, they took the robe off of him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.

³²ครั้นพวกเขาออกไปแล้ว เขาได้พบชาวไซรีนคนหนึ่งชื่อซีโมน เขาจึงเกณฑ์คนนั้นให้แบกกางเขนของพระองค์ไป

³²As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross.

³³เมื่อพวกเขามาถึงสถานที่หนึ่งที่เรียกว่ากลโกธา แปลว่า ที่กะโหลกศีรษะ

³³They came to a place called “Golgotha,” that is to say, “The place of a skull.”

³⁴They gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.

³⁵ครั้นตรึงพระองค์ที่กางเขนแล้ว เขาก็เอาฉลองพระองค์มาจับสลากแบ่งปันกันเพื่อจะสำเร็จตามพระวจนะโดยศาสดาพยากรณ์ซึ่งว่า `เสื้อผ้าของข้าพระองค์ เขาแบ่งปันกัน ส่วนเสื้อของข้าพระองค์นั้น เขาก็จับสลากกัน'

³⁵When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots, TR adds “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: ‘They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots;’” [see Psalm 22:18 and John 19:24]

³⁶แล้วพวกเขาก็นั่งเฝ้าพระองค์อยู่ที่นั่น

³⁶and they sat and watched him there.

³⁷และได้เอาถ้อยคำข้อหาที่ลงโทษพระองค์ไปติดไว้เหนือพระเศียร ซึ่งอ่านว่า "ผู้นี้คือเยซูกษัตริย์ของชนชาติยิว"

³⁷They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

³⁸คราวนั้นเขาเอาโจรสองคนตรึงไว้พร้อมกับพระองค์ ข้างขวาคนหนึ่ง ข้างซ้ายอีกคนหนึ่ง

³⁸Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.

³⁹ฝ่ายคนทั้งหลายที่เดินผ่านไปมานั้นก็ด่าทอพระองค์ สั่นศีรษะของเขา

³⁹Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads,

⁴⁰กล่าวว่า "เจ้าผู้จะทำลายพระวิหารและสร้างขึ้นในสามวันน่ะ จงช่วยตัวเองให้รอด ถ้าเจ้าเป็นบุตรของพระเจ้า จงลงมาจากกางเขนเถิด"

⁴⁰and saying, “You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”

⁴¹พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่กับพวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกผู้ใหญ่ก็เยาะเย้ยพระองค์เช่นกันว่า

⁴¹Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the scribes, the Pharisees, TR omits “the Pharisees” and the elders, said,

⁴²"เขาช่วยคนอื่นให้รอดได้ แต่ช่วยตัวเองให้รอดไม่ได้ ถ้าเขาเป็นกษัตริย์ของชาติอิสราเอล ให้เขาลงมาจากกางเขนเดี๋ยวนี้เถิด และเราจะได้เชื่อเขา

⁴²“He saved others, but he can’t save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.

⁴³เขาไว้ใจในพระเจ้า ถ้าพระองค์พอพระทัยในเขาก็ให้พระองค์ทรงช่วยเขาให้รอดเดี๋ยวนี้เถิด ด้วยเขาได้กล่าวว่า `เราเป็นพระบุตรของพระเจ้า'"

⁴³He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

⁴⁴ถึงโจรที่ถูกตรึงไว้กับพระองค์ก็ยังกล่าวคำหยาบช้าต่อพระองค์เหมือนกัน

⁴⁴The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.

⁴⁵แล้วก็บังเกิดมืดมัวทั่วแผ่นดิน ตั้งแต่เวลาเที่ยงวัน จนถึงบ่ายสามโมง

⁴⁵Now from the sixth hour noon there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. 3:00 P. M.

⁴⁶ครั้นประมาณบ่ายสามโมงพระเยซูทรงร้องเสียงดังว่า "เอลี เอลี ลามาสะบักธานี" แปลว่า "พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ไฉนพระองค์ทรงทอดทิ้งข้าพระองค์เสีย"

⁴⁶About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lima TR reads “lama” instead of “lima” sabachthani?” That is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Psalm 22:1

⁴⁷บางคนที่ยืนอยู่ที่นั่น เมื่อได้ยินก็พูดว่า "คนนี้เรียกเอลียาห์"

⁴⁷Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, “This man is calling Elijah.”

⁴⁸ในทันใดนั้น คนหนึ่งในพวกเขาวิ่งไปเอาฟองน้ำชุบน้ำองุ่นเปรี้ยวเสียบปลายไม้อ้อ ส่งให้พระองค์เสวย

⁴⁸Immediately one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him a drink.

⁴⁹แต่คนอื่นร้องว่า "อย่าเพ่อก่อน ให้เราคอยดูซิว่าเอลียาห์จะมาช่วยเขาให้รอดหรือไม่"

⁴⁹The rest said, “Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save him.”

⁵⁰ฝ่ายพระเยซู เมื่อพระองค์ร้องเสียงดังอีกครั้งหนึ่ง ก็ทรงปล่อยพระวิญญาณจิตให้ออกไป

⁵⁰Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.

⁵¹และดูเถิด ม่านในพระวิหารก็ขาดออกเป็นสองท่อนตั้งแต่บนตลอดล่าง แผ่นดินก็ไหว ศิลาก็แตกออกจากกัน

⁵¹Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.

⁵²อุโมงค์ฝังศพก็เปิดออก ศพของพวกวิสุทธิชนหลายคนที่ล่วงหลับไปแล้วได้เป็นขึ้นมา

⁵²The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;

⁵³และเมื่อพระองค์ทรงเป็นขึ้นมาแล้ว เขาทั้งหลายก็ออกจากอุโมงค์พากันเข้าไปในนครบริสุทธิ์ปรากฏแก่คนเป็นอันมาก

⁵³and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.

⁵⁴ส่วนนายร้อยและทหารที่เฝ้าพระเยซูอยู่ด้วยกัน เมื่อได้เห็นแผ่นดินไหวและการทั้งปวงซึ่งบังเกิดขึ้นนั้น ก็พากันครั่นคร้ามยิ่งนัก จึงพูดกันว่า "แท้จริงท่านผู้นี้เป็นพระบุตรของพระเจ้า"

⁵⁴Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God.”

⁵⁵ที่นั่นมีหญิงหลายคนที่ได้ติดตามพระเยซูจากแคว้นกาลิลีเพื่อปรนนิบัติพระองค์ มองดูอยู่แต่ไกล

⁵⁵Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.

⁵⁶ในพวกนั้นมีมารีย์ชาวมักดาลา มารีย์มารดาของยากอบและโยเสส และมารดาของบุตรเศเบดี

⁵⁶Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

⁵⁷ครั้นถึงเวลาพลบค่ำ มีเศรษฐีคนหนึ่งมาจากบ้านอาริมาเธียชื่อโยเซฟ เป็นสาวกของพระเยซูด้วย

⁵⁷When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea, named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus’ disciple came.

⁵⁸เขาได้เข้าไปหาปีลาตขอพระศพพระเยซู ปีลาตจึงสั่งให้มอบพระศพนั้นให้

⁵⁸This man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up.

⁵⁹เมื่อโยเซฟได้รับพระศพมาแล้ว เขาก็เอาผ้าป่านที่สะอาดพันหุ้มพระศพไว้

⁵⁹Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

⁶⁰แล้วเชิญพระศพไปประดิษฐานไว้ที่อุโมงค์ใหม่ของตน ซึ่งเขาได้สกัดไว้ในศิลา เขาก็กลิ้งหินใหญ่ปิดปากอุโมงค์ไว้แล้วก็ไป

⁶⁰and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed.

⁶¹ฝ่ายมารีย์ชาวมักดาลากับมารีย์อีกคนหนึ่งนั้น ก็นั่งอยู่ที่นั่นตรงหน้าอุโมงค์

⁶¹Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.

⁶²ในวันรุ่งขึ้น คือวันถัดจากวันตระเตรียม พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกฟาริสีพากันไปหาปีลาต

⁶²Now on the next day, which was the day after the Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together to Pilate,

⁶³เรียนว่า "เจ้าคุณขอรับ ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายจำได้ว่า คนล่อลวงผู้นั้น เมื่อเขายังมีชีวิตอยู่ได้พูดว่า `ล่วงไปสามวันแล้วเราจะเป็นขึ้นมาใหม่'

⁶³saying, “Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: ‘After three days I will rise again.’

⁶⁴เหตุฉะนั้น ขอได้มีบัญชาสั่งเฝ้าอุโมงค์ให้แข็งแรงจนถึงวันที่สาม เกลือกว่าสาวกของเขาจะมาในตอนกลางคืน และลักเอาศพไป แล้วจะประกาศแก่ประชาชนว่า เขาเป็นขึ้นมาจากความตายแล้ว และการหลอกลวงครั้งนี้จะร้ายแรงยิ่งกว่าครั้งก่อนอีก"

⁶⁴Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come at night and steal him away, and tell the people, ‘He is risen from the dead;’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.”

⁶⁵ปีลาตจึงบอกเขาว่า "พวกท่านจงเอายามไปเถิด จงไปเฝ้าให้แข็งแรงเท่าที่ทำได้"

⁶⁵Pilate said to them, “You have a guard. Go, make it as secure as you can.”

⁶⁶เขาจึงไปทำอุโมงค์ให้มั่นคง ประทับตราไว้ที่หิน และวางยามประจำอยู่

⁶⁶So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone.
