1มิเรียมและอาโรนได้พูดติโมเสส เหตุหญิงคนเอธิโอเปียที่ท่านได้แต่งงานด้วย เพราะโมเสสได้แต่งงานกับหญิงคนเอธิโอเปียคนหนึ่ง
1Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.
2เขาทั้งสองกล่าวว่า "พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสทางโมเสสคนเดียวเท่านั้นจริงหรือ พระองค์ไม่ตรัสทางเราบ้างหรือ" พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงได้ยิน
2They said, “Has Yahweh indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn’t he spoken also with us?” And Yahweh heard it.
3(โมเสสเป็นคนถ่อมใจมากยิ่งกว่าคนทั้งปวงที่พื้นแผ่นดิน)
3Now the man Moses was very humble, above all the men who were on the surface of the earth.
4ทันใดนั้นพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนกับมิเรียมว่า "เจ้าทั้งสามจงออกมาที่พลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม" เขาทั้งสามก็ออกมา
4Yahweh spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, “You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!” The three of them came out.
5พระเยโฮวาห์ก็เสด็จลงมาในเสาเมฆ ประทับยืนที่ประตูพลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม ทรงเรียกอาโรนและมิเรียม เขาทั้งสองก็มาข้างหน้า
5Yahweh came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward.
6พระองค์ตรัสว่า "จงฟังถ้อยคำของเรา ถ้าจะมีผู้พยากรณ์ท่ามกลางเจ้าทั้งหลาย เราพระเยโฮวาห์จะสำแดงตัวแก่ผู้นั้นเป็นนิมิต เราจะพูดกับเขาทางฝัน
6He said, “Hear now my words. If there is a prophet among you, I Yahweh will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.
7สำหรับโมเสสผู้รับใช้ของเราก็ไม่เป็นเช่นนั้น ในวงศ์วานทั้งหมดของเราเขาสัตย์ซื้อ
7My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.
8เราพูดกับเขาปากต่อปากอย่างชัดเจน ไม่พูดเร้นลับ และเขาเห็นสัณฐานของพระเยโฮวาห์ ไฉนเจ้าไม่กลัวที่จะพูดติโมเสสผู้รับใช้ของเรา"
8With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see Yahweh’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”
9พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงกริ้วเขามาก แล้วเสด็จไปเสีย
9The anger of Yahweh was kindled against them; and he departed.
10เมื่อเมฆลอยพ้นพลับพลาไป ดูเถิด มิเรียมก็เป็นโรคเรื้อน ขาวดุจหิมะ อาโรนหันไปดูมิเรียมและดูเถิด นางเป็นโรคเรื้อน
10The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.
11และอาโรนพูดกับโมเสสว่า "ข้าแต่เจ้านายของข้าพเจ้า อนิจจาเอ๋ย ขออย่าลงโทษบาปเราทั้งสองที่ได้กระทำความเขลาและบาปเช่นนี้
11Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.
12ขออย่าให้มิเรียมเป็นเหมือนคนที่ตายแล้ว ดุจคนที่คลอดจากครรภ์มารดามีเนื้อกุดไปครึ่งหนึ่ง"
12Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
13และโมเสสได้ร้องทูลพระเยโฮวาห์ว่า "ข้าแต่พระเจ้า ขอพระองค์ทรงรักษานาง ข้าพระองค์ทูลวิงวอนต่อพระองค์"
13Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, “Heal her, God, I beg you!”
14แต่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า "ถ้าพ่อของนางถ่มน้ำลายรดหน้านาง นางจะละอายอยู่เจ็ดวันมิใช่หรือ จงกักนางไว้นอกค่ายเจ็ดวัน ภายหลังจึงให้กลับเข้ามาได้"
14Yahweh said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn’t she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.”
15ดังนั้นมิเรียมจึงถูกกักอยู่นอกค่ายเจ็ดวัน และประชาชนก็มิได้ยกเดินไปจนกว่ามิเรียมกลับเข้ามาอีก
15Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people didn’t travel until Miriam was brought in again.
16แล้วภายหลังประชาชนก็ยกเดินจากตำบลฮาเซโรทไปตั้งค่ายอยู่ที่ถิ่นทุรกันดารปาราน
16Afterward the people traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
