1พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2"จงกล่าวแก่อาโรนว่า เมื่อจะตั้งตะเกียงให้ตะเกียงทั้งเจ็ดส่องแสงข้างหน้าคันประทีป"
2“Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.’”
3และอาโรนได้กระทำดังนั้น ท่านได้ตั้งตะเกียงให้ส่องแสงออกด้านหน้าคันประทีป ตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสสั่งกับโมเสส
3Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lampstand, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
4ฝีมือที่ทำคันประทีปเป็นดังนี้ เป็นทองคำใช้ค้อนทุบ ตั้งแต่ฐานขึ้นไปถึงดอกเป็นฝีค้อน ตามแบบอย่างที่พระเยโฮวาห์สำแดงแก่โมเสส เขาจึงทำคันประทีปดังนั้น
4This was the workmanship of the lampstand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work: according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
5และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า
5Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
6"จงยกคนเลวีออกจากคนอิสราเอลและชำระเขาทั้งหลายเสีย
6“Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
7เจ้าจงชำระเขาดังนี้ จงเอาน้ำชำระมาประพรมเขา ให้เขาโกนตลอดทั้งตัว ให้ซักเสื้อผ้าและชำระตัวให้สะอาด
7You shall do this to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.
8แล้วให้เขาทั้งหลายนำวัวหนุ่มตัวหนึ่ง กับเครื่องธัญญบูชาคู่กัน คือยอดแป้งคลุกน้ำมัน และเจ้าจงนำวัวหนุ่มอีกตัวหนึ่งเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป
8Then let them take a young bull, and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.
9แล้วจงพาคนเลวีมาหน้าพลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม และให้คนอิสราเอลมาชุมนุมพร้อมกันหมด
9You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel.
10เมื่อเจ้านำคนเลวีมากราบทูลต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ ให้คนอิสราเอลเอามือของเขาวางบนคนเลวี
10You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,
11และให้อาโรนถวายคนเลวีต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ให้เป็นเครื่องบูชาแกว่งถวายจากประชาชนอิสราเอล เพื่อเขาจะได้ทำงานปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์
11and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering, on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh.
12แล้วคนเลวีจะเอามือของตนวางบนหัววัวผู้ทั้งสอง เจ้าจงเอาตัวหนึ่งมาถวายเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป และอีกตัวหนึ่งให้เป็นเครื่องเผาบูชาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ เพื่อลบมลทินบาปของคนเลวี
12“The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.
13เจ้าจงตั้งคนเลวีให้คอยรับใช้อาโรนและบุตรชายทั้งหลายของอาโรน และจงถวายเขาทั้งหลายให้เป็นเครื่องบูชาแกว่งถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์
13You shall set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh.
14ฉะนี้แหละเจ้าจงแยกคนเลวีออกจากคนอิสราเอล และคนเลวีจะเป็นของเรา
14Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
15ตั้งแต่นั้นไปคนเลวีจะเข้าปฏิบัติงานที่พลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม ในเมื่อเจ้าได้ชำระเขาและกระทำเป็นเครื่องบูชาแกว่งถวายเขาไว้แล้ว
15“After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting: and you shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.
16เพราะเขาทั้งหมดถูกแยกออกจากคนอิสราเอล และมอบไว้แก่เรา เราได้รับเขามาเป็นของเราแล้วแทนทุกคนที่เกิดจากครรภ์มารดาก่อนคือ แทนบุตรหัวปีของประชาชนอิสราเอลทั้งหมด
16For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me.
17เพราะว่าลูกหัวปีทั้งหมดของคนอิสราเอลเป็นของเรา ทั้งคนและสัตว์ ในวันที่เราได้สังหารบรรดาลูกหัวปีในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เราได้เลือกเขาไว้เป็นของเรา
17For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself.
18และเราได้เลือกคนเลวีแทนบุตรหัวปีทั้งหมดของคนอิสราเอล
18I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
19และเราได้ให้คนเลวีจากคนอิสราเอลไว้กับอาโรนและบุตรชายของอาโรน ให้ปฏิบัติงานแทนคนอิสราเอลที่พลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม และทำการลบมลทินให้คนอิสราเอล เพื่อว่าจะไม่มีภัยพิบัติบังเกิดแก่คนอิสราเอล เมื่อคนอิสราเอลเข้ามาใกล้สถานบริสุทธิ์"
19I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.”
20โมเสสและอาโรนและชุมนุมชนอิสราเอลทั้งหมดได้กระทำต่อคนเลวีดังนั้น ตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสสั่งโมเสสในเรื่องคนเลวีทุกประการ คนอิสราเอลก็กระทำดังนั้น
20Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel did so to the Levites. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them.
21คนเลวีได้ชำระตนให้สิ้นบาป และซักเสื้อผ้าของตน และอาโรนก็ถวายเขาเป็นเครื่องบูชาแกว่งถวายต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ และอาโรนทำการลบมลทินชำระเขา
21The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
22แต่นั้นมาคนเลวีก็เข้าไปปฏิบัติในพลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม ในการรับใช้อาโรนและบุตรชายของอาโรน ตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสสั่งโมเสสเรื่องคนเลวี เขาจึงได้กระทำอย่างนั้นแก่เขาทั้งหลาย
22After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron, and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
23พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า
23Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
24"เรื่องนี้เกี่ยวกับคนเลวี ให้คนเลวีที่มีอายุตั้งแต่ยี่สิบห้าปีขึ้นไป เข้าไปปฏิบัติงานในพลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม
24“This is that which belongs to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting;
25พออายุได้ห้าสิบปีให้เขาหยุดปฏิบัติ ไม่ต้องทำงานต่อไป
25and from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting on the work, and shall serve no more,
26แต่ให้เขาช่วยพี่น้องในพลับพลาแห่งชุมนุมดูแลการงาน ไม่ต้องลงมือทำเอง เจ้าจงกระทำเช่นนี้แก่คนเลวีเมื่อกำหนดงานให้เขา"
26but shall minister with their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall do no service. You shall do thus to the Levites concerning their duties.”
