¹ในเดือนที่หนึ่งปีที่สองตั้งแต่เขาทั้งหลายออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสที่ถิ่นทุรกันดารซีนายว่า

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

²"ให้คนอิสราเอลถือเทศกาลปัสกาตามเวลาที่กำหนดไว้

²“Moreover let the children of Israel keep the Passover in its appointed season.

³คือเดือนนี้ในวันขึ้นสิบสี่ค่ำ เวลาเย็น เจ้าทั้งหลายจงถือเทศกาลปัสกาตามเวลาที่กำหนดนั้น เจ้าจงกระทำตามกฎเกณฑ์และพิธีต่างๆทั้งสิ้นของเทศกาลนั้น"

³On the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed season—according to all its statutes, and according to all its ordinances, you shall keep it.”

⁴โมเสสจึงบอกคนอิสราเอลให้ถือเทศกาลปัสกา

⁴Moses spoke to the children of Israel, that they should keep the Passover.

⁵เขาทั้งหลายได้ถือเทศกาลปัสกาในเดือนที่หนึ่งวันขึ้นสิบสี่ค่ำเวลาเย็นที่ถิ่นทุรกันดารซีนาย ที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสสั่งโมเสสทุกประการ คนอิสราเอลก็กระทำตามอย่างนั้น

⁵They kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.

⁶และมีผู้ชายบางคนที่มีมลทินเพราะถูกต้องศพ จึงถือปัสกาในวันนั้นไม่ได้ เขาจึงมาอยู่ต่อหน้าโมเสสและอาโรนในวันนั้น

⁶There were certain men, who were unclean because of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day.

⁷เขาเหล่านั้นกล่าวแก่ท่านว่า "เรามีมลทินเพราะได้ถูกต้องศพ ทำไมจึงห้ามมิให้เราถวายเครื่องบูชาของพระเยโฮวาห์ตามวันกำหนดท่ามกลางคนอิสราเอล"

⁷Those men said to him, “We are unclean because of the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season among the children of Israel?”

⁸และโมเสสบอกเขาว่า "จงคอยอยู่ก่อนเพื่อเราจะฟังดูว่า พระเยโฮวาห์จะตรัสสั่งอย่างไรเรื่องท่าน"

⁸Moses answered them, “Wait, that I may hear what Yahweh will command concerning you.”

⁹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

⁹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁰"จงกล่าวแก่คนอิสราเอลว่า ถ้าผู้ใดในพวกเจ้าหรือในเชื้อสายของเจ้ามีมลทินเพราะถูกต้องศพ หรือไปทางไกลก็ให้ผู้นั้นถือปัสกาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁰“Say to the children of Israel, ‘If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to Yahweh.

¹¹ให้ถือปัสกาในเดือนที่สองวันขึ้นสิบสี่ค่ำเวลาเย็น ให้เขากินขนมปังไร้เชื้อและผักรสขม

¹¹In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

¹²เขาทั้งหลายต้องไม่ให้อะไรเหลือจนวันรุ่งขึ้น และไม่หักกระดูกแกะปัสกา ให้กระทำตามกฎในเรื่องถือเทศกาลปัสกาทุกประการ

¹²They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break a bone of it. According to all the statute of the Passover they shall keep it.

¹³แต่คนที่สะอาดและมิได้อยู่ในระหว่างการเดินทางแต่งดไม่ถือเทศกาลปัสกา ผู้นั้นจะต้องถูกตัดขาดจากท่ามกลางชนชาติของเขา เพราะเขามิได้นำเครื่องบูชาของพระเยโฮวาห์มาถวายตามกำหนดเวลา ผู้นั้นจะต้องได้รับโทษบาปของเขาเอง

¹³But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Because he didn’t offer the offering of Yahweh in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

¹⁴ถ้าคนต่างด้าวมาอาศัยอยู่ท่ามกลางเจ้าทั้งหลาย จะใคร่ถือเทศกาลปัสกาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ตามกฎของเทศกาลปัสกาและตามลักษณะก็ให้เขาถือได้ เจ้าจงมีกฎอย่างเดียวสำหรับทั้งคนต่างด้าวและชาวเมือง"

¹⁴“‘If a foreigner lives among you, and desires to keep the Passover to Yahweh; according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its ordinance, so shall he do. You shall have one statute, both for the foreigner, and for him who is born in the land.’”

¹⁵ในวันที่จัดตั้งพลับพลานั้นมีเมฆมาปกคลุมพลับพลาไว้ คือเต็นท์พระโอวาท เวลาเย็นเมฆนั้นก็อยู่เหนือพลับพลาปรากฏเหมือนเพลิงจนรุ่งเช้า

¹⁵On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony: and at evening it was over the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.

¹⁶เป็นอย่างนั้นเสมอมา มีเมฆคลุมกลางวัน แต่กลางคืนปรากฏเหมือนเพลิง

¹⁶So it was continually. The cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night.

¹⁷เมื่อไรเมฆลอยขึ้นจากพลับพลา ภายหลังนั้นพวกอิสราเอลก็ยกเดินไป ครั้นเมฆนั้นลอยหยุดอยู่ที่ใด คนอิสราเอลก็ตั้งค่ายอยู่ที่นั่น

¹⁷Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Israel encamped.

¹⁸คนอิสราเอลออกเดินตามพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์ และเขาตั้งค่ายตามพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์ ตราบใดที่เมฆพักอยู่เหนือพลับพลาเขาก็ยังตั้งค่ายอยู่

¹⁸At the commandment of Yahweh, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of Yahweh they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped.

¹⁹แม้เมื่อเมฆอยู่เหนือพลับพลานานหลายวัน คนอิสราเอลก็ปฏิบัติตามพระบัญชาของพระเยโฮวาห์ ไม่ยกเดินไป

¹⁹When the cloud stayed on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept Yahweh’s command, and didn’t travel.

²⁰เมื่อเมฆอยู่เหนือพลับพลาน้อยวัน ตามพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์ เขาก็ยังอยู่ในค่าย แล้วตามพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์เขาก็ยกออกเดินทาง

²⁰Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Yahweh they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Yahweh they traveled.

²¹เมื่อเมฆคงอยู่ตั้งแต่เย็นจนเช้า ครั้งเมฆลอยขึ้นในตอนเช้าเขาก็ยกออกเดิน ไม่ว่าเป็นกลางวันหรือกลางคืนก็ตาม เมื่อเมฆลอยขึ้นเขาก็ยกออกเดิน

²¹Sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled: or by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they traveled.

²²ไม่ว่าเมฆจะคงอยู่เหนือพลับพลาสองวัน หรือเดือนหนึ่งหรือปีหนึ่ง คนอิสราเอลก็อยู่ในค่ายนานเท่านั้น มิได้ยกออกไป แต่เมื่อเมฆลอยขึ้นเมื่อใด เขาก็ยกออกไปเมื่อนั้น

²²Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel remained encamped, and didn’t travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.

²³เขาตั้งค่ายอยู่ตามพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์ และเขายกออกเดินตามพระดำรัสของพระเยโฮวาห์ เขาทั้งหลายก็ปฏิบัติงานของพระเยโฮวาห์ ตามพระดำรัสที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสสั่งโมเสส

²³At the commandment of Yahweh they encamped, and at the commandment of Yahweh they traveled. They kept Yahweh’s command, at the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.
