²ลิ้นของปราชญ์ใช้ความรู้อย่างถูกต้อง แต่ปากของคนโง่เทความโง่ออกมา

²The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of fools gush out folly.

³พระเนตรของพระเยโฮวาห์อยู่ในทุกแห่งหน ทรงเฝ้าดูคนชั่วและคนดี

³Yahweh’s eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good.

⁴ลิ้นที่สุภาพเป็นต้นไม้แห่งชีวิต แต่ลิ้นตลบตะแลงทำน้ำใจให้แตกสลาย

⁴A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.

⁵คนโง่ดูหมิ่นคำสั่งสอนของบิดาตน แต่ผู้ที่สนใจคำตักเตือนเป็นผู้หยั่งรู้

⁵A fool despises his father’s correction, but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.

⁶ในเรือนของคนชอบธรรมมีคลังทรัพย์มาก แต่ความลำบากตกอยู่กับรายได้ของคนชั่วร้าย

⁶In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but the income of the wicked brings trouble.

⁷ริมฝีปากของปราชญ์กระจายความรู้ แต่ความคิดของคนโง่หาเป็นเช่นนั้นไม่

⁷The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so with the heart of fools.

⁸เครื่องสักการบูชาของคนชั่วร้ายเป็นที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่คำอธิษฐานของคนเที่ยงธรรมเป็นความปีติยินดีของพระองค์

⁸The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

⁹ทางของคนชั่วร้ายเป็นที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่พระองค์ทรงรักผู้ที่ติดตามความชอบธรรม

⁹The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but he loves him who follows after righteousness.

¹⁰ผู้ที่ทอดทิ้งทางดีนับว่าการทำโทษเป็นสิ่งที่หนักใจ บุคคลผู้เกลียดคำเตือนสติจะตายเปล่า

¹⁰There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way: whoever hates reproof shall die.

¹¹นรกและแดนพินาศก็ประจักษ์แจ้งอยู่เฉพาะพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ ใจแห่งบุตรทั้งหลายของมนุษย์จะแจ้งเฉพาะพระองค์ยิ่งกว่านั้นสักเท่าใด

¹²คนมักเยาะเย้ยไม่รักคนที่ตักเตือนเขา ทั้งเขาจะไม่ไปหาปราชญ์

¹⁵ทุกๆวันของคนที่ทุกข์ใจก็ร้าย แต่คนที่มีใจร่าเริงมีการเลี้ยงต่อเนื่องกัน

¹⁵All the days of the afflicted are wretched, but one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast.

¹⁶มีทรัพย์น้อยแต่มีความยำเกรงพระเยโฮวาห์ ดีกว่ามีคลังทรัพย์ใหญ่ แต่มีความลำบากอยู่ด้วย

¹⁶Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh, than great treasure with trouble.

¹⁷กินผักเป็นอาหารในที่ที่มีความรักก็ดีกว่ากินเนื้อวัวอ้วนพร้อมกับความเกลียดชังอยู่ด้วย

¹⁷Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, than a fattened calf with hatred.

¹⁸คนใจร้อนเร้าการวิวาท แต่บุคคลผู้โกรธช้าก็ระงับการชิงดี

¹⁸A wrathful man stirs up contention, but one who is slow to anger appeases strife.

¹⁹ทางของคนเกียจคร้านเหมือนรั้วต้นไม้หนาม แต่วิถีของคนชอบธรรมเป็นทางหลวงราบเสมอ

²⁰บุตรชายที่ฉลาดกระทำให้บิดายินดี แต่คนโง่ดูหมิ่นมารดาของตน

²⁰A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish man despises his mother.

²¹ความโง่เป็นความชื่นบานแก่บุคคลผู้ไม่มีสติปัญญา แต่คนที่มีความเข้าใจจะดำเนินในความเที่ยงธรรม

²¹Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding keeps his way straight.

²²ปราศจากการปรึกษาหารือ แผนงานก็ล้มเหลว แต่มีผู้แนะนำมากๆ แผนงานนั้นก็สำเร็จ

²²Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.

²³คำตอบจากปากที่เหมาะสมก็เป็นความชื่นบานแก่คน คำเดียวที่ถูกกาละก็ดีจริงๆ

²³Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!

²⁴ทางแห่งชีวิตนำคนฉลาดขึ้นไปสู่เบื้องบน เพื่อเขาจะได้หลีกหนีจากนรกเบื้องล่าง

²⁴The path of life leads upward for the wise, to keep him from going downward to Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. .

²⁵พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงรื้อเรือนของคนเย่อหยิ่ง แต่ให้ขอบเขตของหญิงม่ายคงอยู่

²⁵Yahweh will uproot the house of the proud, but he will keep the widow’s borders intact.

²⁶ความคิดทั้งหลายของคนชั่วร้ายเป็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ แต่ถ้อยคำของคนบริสุทธิ์เป็นถ้อยคำที่พอพระทัย

²⁶Yahweh detests the thoughts of the wicked, but the thoughts of the pure are pleasing.

²⁷บุคคลผู้ตะกละหากำไรก็กระทำความลำบากแก่ครัวเรือนของตน แต่บุคคลผู้เกลียดสินบนจะมีชีวิตอยู่

²⁷He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live.

²⁸ใจของคนชอบธรรมรำพึงว่าจะตอบอย่างไร แต่ปากของคนชั่วร้ายเทสิ่งชั่วร้ายออก

²⁸The heart of the righteous weighs answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil.

²⁹พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงอยู่ห่างไกลจากคนชั่วร้าย แต่พระองค์ทรงสดับคำอธิษฐานของคนชอบธรรม

²⁹Yahweh is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

³⁰สว่างของตาทำให้ใจเปรมปรีดิ์ และข่าวดีกระทำให้กระดูกสดชื่น

³⁰The light of the eyes rejoices the heart. Good news gives health to the bones.

³¹หูที่ฟังคำตักเตือนที่ให้ชีวิตจะอยู่ท่ามกลางปราชญ์

³¹The ear that listens to reproof lives, and will be at home among the wise.

³²บุคคลผู้เพิกเฉยต่อคำสั่งสอนก็ดูหมิ่นจิตใจตนเอง แต่บุคคลผู้ฟังคำตักเตือนก็ได้ความเข้าใจ

³²He who refuses correction despises his own soul, but he who listens to reproof gets understanding.

³³ความยำเกรงพระเยโฮวาห์เป็นการสอนให้เกิดปัญญา และความถ่อมใจเดินอยู่ข้างหน้าเกียรติ

³³The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.
