1ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ให้พ้นจากคนชั่วร้าย ขอทรงสงวนข้าพระองค์ไว้จากคนทารุณ
1Deliver me, Yahweh, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man;
2ผู้คิดปองร้ายอยู่ในจิตใจของเขา และก่อกวนต่อเนื่องกันให้มีสงครามขึ้น
2those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war.
3เขาทำลิ้นของเขาให้คมเหมือนลิ้นงู และภายใต้ริมฝีปากของเขามีพิษของงูหางไหม้ เซลาห์
3They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips. Selah.
4ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงรักษาข้าพระองค์ไว้ให้พ้นจากมือของคนชั่ว ขอทรงสงวนข้าพระองค์ไว้จากคนทารุณ ผู้คิดแผนการพลิกเท้าของข้าพระองค์
4Yahweh, keep me from the hands of the wicked. Preserve me from the violent men who have determined to trip my feet.
5คนโอหังได้ซ่อนกับดักข้าพระองค์และวางบ่วงไว้ ที่ข้างทางเขากางตาข่าย เขาตั้งบ่วงแร้วดักข้าพระองค์ เซลาห์
5The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.
6ข้าพเจ้าทูลพระเยโฮวาห์ว่า "พระองค์ทรงเป็นพระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงฟังเสียงทูลวิงวอนของข้าพระองค์
6I said to Yahweh, “You are my God.” Listen to the cry of my petitions, Yahweh.
7ข้าแต่พระเจ้าคือองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ผู้ทรงเป็นกำลังแห่งความรอดของข้าพระองค์ พระองค์ทรงคลุมศีรษะข้าพระองค์ไว้ในยามศึก
7Yahweh, the Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.
8ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขออย่าทรงอนุมัติตามความปรารถนาของคนชั่ว อย่าให้การคิดปองร้ายของเขาคืบหน้าไป เกลือกว่าเขาจะยกตัวขึ้น เซลาห์
8Yahweh, don’t grant the desires of the wicked. Don’t let their evil plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah.
9ฝ่ายศีรษะของคนที่ล้อมข้าพระองค์ไว้นั้น ขอให้ความสาระแนแห่งริมฝีปากของเขาท่วมเขา
9As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
10ขอให้ถ่านที่ลุกอยู่ตกใส่เขา ขอให้เขาถูกทิ้งในไฟลงไปในบ่อ ไม่ให้ลุกขึ้นมาอีก
10Let burning coals fall on them. Let them be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, from where they never rise.
11ขออย่าให้เขาตั้งคนส่อเสียดไว้ในแผ่นดิน ขอให้ความร้ายล่าคนทารุณจนคว่ำเขาได้"
11An evil speaker won’t be established in the earth. Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
12ข้าพเจ้าทราบว่าพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงกระทำความเที่ยงธรรมให้แก่ผู้ที่ทุกข์ยาก และทรงจัดความยุติธรรมให้แก่คนขัดสน
12I know that Yahweh will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the needy.
13แน่นอนทีเดียว ที่คนชอบธรรมจะถวายโมทนาขอบพระคุณพระนามของพระองค์ คนเที่ยงธรรมจะอาศัยอยู่ต่อเบื้องพระพักตร์พระองค์
13Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name. The upright will dwell in your presence.
