¹ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ข้าพระองค์ร้องทูลต่อพระองค์ ขอทรงรีบตอบข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงเงี่ยพระกรรณสดับเสียงข้าพระองค์ เมื่อข้าพระองค์ร้องทูลพระองค์

¹Yahweh, I have called on you. Come to me quickly! Listen to my voice when I call to you.

²ขอให้คำอธิษฐานของข้าพระองค์เป็นดังเครื่องหอมต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์ และที่ข้าพระองค์ยกมือขึ้นเป็นดังเครื่องสัตวบูชาเวลาเย็น

²Let my prayer be set before you like incense; the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.

³ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงตั้งยามเฝ้าปากของข้าพระองค์ ขอรักษาประตูริมฝีปากของข้าพระองค์

³Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips.

⁴ขออย่าให้จิตใจข้าพระองค์เอนเอียงไปหาความชั่วใดๆ หรือให้ข้าพระองค์สาละวนอยู่กับการชั่วร้ายร่วมกับคนที่ทำความชั่วช้า และขออย่าให้ข้าพระองค์กินของโอชะของเขา

⁴Don’t incline my heart to any evil thing, to practice deeds of wickedness with men who work iniquity. Don’t let me eat of their delicacies.

⁵ขอให้คนชอบธรรมตีข้าพระองค์ จะเป็นความเมตตาแก่ข้าพระองค์ ขอให้เขาติเตียนข้าพระองค์ จะเป็นน้ำมันดีเลิศซึ่งจะไม่ให้ศีรษะข้าพระองค์แตก เพราะข้าพระองค์ยังอธิษฐานต่อสู้ความชั่วของเขาทั้งหลายอยู่

⁵Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head; don’t let my head refuse it; Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds.

⁶เมื่อผู้พิพากษาทั้งหลายของเขาถูกโยนลงที่หน้าผา เขาจะได้ยินถ้อยคำของข้าพระองค์ เพราะเป็นถ้อยคำไพเราะ

⁶Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock. They will hear my words, for they are well spoken.

⁷กระดูกของเราทั้งหลายกระจายที่ปากแดนผู้ตายฉันใด เหมือนเมื่อคนหนึ่งตัดและแตกไม้อยู่บนแผ่นดินฉันนั้น

⁷“As when one plows and breaks up the earth, our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. .”

⁸ข้าแต่พระเจ้าคือองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ตาของข้าพระองค์เพ่งตรงพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์วางใจในพระองค์ ขออย่าให้จิตใจข้าพระองค์ไร้คุณธรรม

⁸For my eyes are on you, Yahweh, the Lord. In you, I take refuge. Don’t leave my soul destitute.

⁹ขอพระองค์ทรงรักษาข้าพระองค์ให้พ้นจากกับซึ่งเขาวางดักข้าพระองค์ไว้ และจากบ่วงแร้วของผู้กระทำความชั่วช้า

⁹Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

¹⁰ขอให้คนชั่วตกไปด้วยกันในข่ายของตนเอง แต่ขอให้ข้าพระองค์ผ่านพ้นไป

¹⁰Let the wicked fall together into their own nets, while I pass by.
