¹แท้จริงพระเจ้าทรงดีต่ออิสราเอล ต่อบุคคลผู้มีใจบริสุทธิ์

¹Surely God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

²แต่ข้าพเจ้าเล่า เท้าของข้าพเจ้าเกือบสะดุด ย่างเท้าของข้าพเจ้าหมิ่นพลาดเต็มทีแล้ว

²But as for me, my feet were almost gone. My steps had nearly slipped.

³เพราะข้าพเจ้าริษยาคนโง่เขลาเมื่อข้าพเจ้าเห็นความเจริญรุ่งเรืองของคนชั่ว

³For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

⁴เพราะเขาทั้งหลายไม่มีความเจ็บปวดเมื่อเขาตายไป แต่กำลังของเขายังสมบูรณ์อยู่

⁴For there are no struggles in their death, but their strength is firm.

⁵เขาทั้งหลายไม่ลำบากอย่างคนอื่นๆ เขาทั้งหลายไม่รับภัยอย่างคนอื่นๆ

⁵They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.

⁶เพราะฉะนั้นความเย่อหยิ่งจึงเป็นสร้อยคอของเขา ความทารุณคลุมเขาไว้อย่างเครื่องแต่งกาย

⁶Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.

⁷ตาของเขาพองด้วยความอ้วนพี เขามีสิ่งของเหลือจิตใจปรารถนาได้

⁷Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.

⁸เขาเย้ยและพูดด้วยความมุ่งร้าย เขาใฝ่สูงขู่ว่าจะบีบบังคับ

⁸They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.

⁹เขาอ้าปากสู้ฟ้าสวรรค์ และลิ้นของเขาก็คะนองไปในโลก

⁹They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.

¹⁰ประชาชนของพระองค์จึงหันกลับมา และน้ำแห่งความบริบูรณ์ถูกบีบให้เขาทั้งหลาย

¹⁰Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.

¹¹และเขาทั้งหลายพูดว่า "พระเจ้าทรงทราบได้อย่างไร พระองค์ผู้สูงสุดมีความรู้หรือ"

¹¹They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”

¹²ดูเถิด คนอธรรมเป็นเช่นนี้แหละ เขาเจริญในแผ่นดินโลกและร่ำรวยขึ้น

¹²Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.

¹³แท้จริง ข้าพเจ้าชำระใจให้สะอาด และชำระมือด้วยความบริสุทธิ์ก็เปล่าประโยชน์

¹³Surely in vain I have cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocence,

¹⁴เพราะข้าพเจ้ารับภัยอยู่วันยังค่ำและถูกขนาบอยู่ทุกเช้า

¹⁴For all day long have I been plagued, and punished every morning.

¹⁵ถ้าข้าพระองค์ได้พูดว่า "ข้าพเจ้าจะพูดอย่างนี้" ดูเถิด ข้าพระองค์จะทำผิดต่อชั่วอายุแห่งบุตรทั้งหลายของพระองค์แล้ว

¹⁵If I had said, “I will speak thus”; behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.

¹⁶แต่เมื่อข้าพระองค์ตริตรองว่า จะเข้าใจเรื่องนี้ได้อย่างไร ข้าพระองค์รู้สึกว่า เป็นงานที่เหน็ดเหนื่อย

¹⁶When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me;

¹⁷จนข้าพระองค์เข้าไปในสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระเจ้า แล้วข้าพระองค์จึงพิเคราะห์เห็นปลายทางของเขาทั้งหลาย

¹⁷Until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.

¹⁸จริงละ พระองค์ทรงวางเขาไว้ในที่ลื่น พระองค์ทรงกระทำให้เขาล้มถึงความพินาศ

¹⁸Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.

¹⁹เขาถูกนำไปสู่การรกร้างในครู่เดียวเสียจริงๆ เขาถูกครอบงำด้วยความสยดสยองอย่างสิ้นเชิง

¹⁹How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.

²⁰ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เหมือนความฝันทั้งที่ตื่นอยู่ เมื่อพระองค์ทรงตื่นอยู่ พระองค์จะดูหมิ่นภาพของเขา

²⁰As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.

²¹เมื่อจิตใจของข้าพระองค์ขมขื่น เมื่อข้าพระองค์เสียวแปลบถึงหัวใจ

²¹For my soul was grieved. I was embittered in my heart.

²²ข้าพระองค์โฉดและไม่เดียงสา ข้าพระองค์ประพฤติเหมือนสัตว์ต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์

²²I was so senseless and ignorant. I was a brute beast before you.

²³ถึงกระนั้นก็ดี ข้าพระองค์อยู่กับพระองค์เสมอ พระองค์ทรงจับมือขวาของข้าพระองค์ไว้

²³Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand.

²⁴พระองค์จะทรงนำข้าพระองค์ด้วยความปรึกษาของพระองค์ และภายหลังพระองค์จะทรงนำข้าพระองค์ให้ได้รับเกียรติยศ

²⁴You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

²⁵นอกจากพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์มิมีผู้ใดในฟ้าสวรรค์ นอกจากพระองค์แล้ว ข้าพระองค์ไม่ปรารถนาผู้ใดในโลก

²⁵Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.

²⁶เนื้อหนังและจิตใจของข้าพระองค์จะวายไป แต่พระเจ้าทรงเป็นกำลังใจของข้าพระองค์ และเป็นส่วนของข้าพระองค์เป็นนิตย์

²⁶My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

²⁷เพราะดูเถิด บุคคลผู้ห่างเหินจากพระองค์จะพินาศ พระองค์ทรงให้บุคคลที่ไม่จริงต่อพระองค์ดับไป

²⁷For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.

²⁸แต่ส่วนข้าพระองค์ ที่จะเข้าใกล้พระเจ้านั้นดี ข้าพระองค์ได้วางใจในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้า เพื่อข้าพระองค์จะได้เล่าถึงพระราชกิจทั้งสิ้นของพระองค์

²⁸But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
