¹ข้าแต่พระเจ้า ไฉนพระองค์ทรงเหวี่ยงข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายทิ้งเสียเป็นนิตย์ ไฉนความกริ้วของพระองค์กรุ่นขึ้นต่อแกะแห่งทุ่งหญ้าของพระองค์

¹God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?

²ขอทรงระลึกถึงชุมนุมชนของพระองค์ ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงไถ่มาแต่ดึกดำบรรพ์ ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงไถ่ไว้ให้เป็นตระกูลที่เป็นมรดกของพระองค์ ขอทรงระลึกถึงภูเขาศิโยน ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงเคยประทับนั้น

²Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance; Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

³ขอทรงนำย่างพระบาทของพระองค์มายังซากปรักหักพังอยู่เนืองนิตย์ คือมายังสิ่งทั้งปวงที่ถูกศัตรูกระทำอย่างชั่วร้ายในสถานบริสุทธิ์นั้น

³Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.

⁴พวกคู่อริของพระองค์คำรามอยู่กลางสถานประชุมของพระองค์ เขาตั้งธงของเขาเองไว้เป็นหมายสำคัญ

⁴Your adversaries have roared in the midst of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.

⁵คนหนึ่งคนใดจะมีชื่อเสียงเหมือนคนยกขวานขึ้นเหนือพุ่มต้นไม้

⁵They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees.

⁶แต่บัดนี้บรรดาไม้ที่แกะสลักทั้งสิ้นเขาก็พังลงมาเสียด้วยขวานและค้อน

⁷เขาเอาไฟเผาสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ เขาทำลายความศักดิ์สิทธิ์แห่งสถานที่พระนามของพระองค์ประทับนั้นถึงดิน

⁷They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.

⁸เขารำพึงในใจว่า "เราจงทำลายเขาทั้งหลายให้สิ้นเชิง" เขาเผาบรรดาสถานประชุมของพระเจ้าที่ในแผ่นดินหมด

⁸They said in their heart, “We will crush them completely.” They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.

⁹พวกเราไม่เห็นหมายสำคัญทั้งหลายของเรา ไม่มีผู้พยากรณ์อีกแล้ว ในพวกเราไม่มีใครทราบว่านานเท่าใด

⁹We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.

¹⁰ข้าแต่พระเจ้า คู่อริจะเย้ยอยู่นานเท่าใด ศัตรูจะหมิ่นประมาทพระนามของพระองค์เป็นนิตย์หรือ

¹⁰How long, God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?

¹¹ไฉนพระองค์จึงหดพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์เสีย คือพระหัตถ์ขวาของพระองค์ ขอทรงเหยียดพระหัตถ์จากพระทรวงของพระองค์

¹¹Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it out of your pocket and consume them!

¹²ถึงกระนั้น พระเจ้า กษัตริย์ของข้าพระองค์ ทรงอยู่แต่ดึกดำบรรพ์ ทรงประกอบกิจความรอดท่ามกลางแผ่นดินโลก

¹²Yet God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.

¹³พระองค์ทรงแยกทะเลด้วยฤทธานุภาพของพระองค์ พระองค์ทรงหักหัวมังกรในน้ำ

¹³You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.

¹⁴พระองค์ทรงทุบหัวทั้งหลายของเลวีอาธานเป็นชิ้นๆ พระองค์ประทานมันให้เป็นอาหารของคนที่อาศัยอยู่ในถิ่นทุรกันดาร

¹⁴You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.

¹⁵พระองค์ทรงแยกเปิดน้ำพุและลำธาร พระองค์ทรงให้แม่น้ำที่ไหลอยู่เสมอแห้งไป

¹⁵You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.

¹⁶วันเป็นของพระองค์ คืนเป็นของพระองค์ด้วย พระองค์ทรงสถาปนาความสว่างและดวงอาทิตย์

¹⁶The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.

¹⁷พระองค์ทรงจัดเขตทั้งสิ้นของแผ่นดินโลก พระองค์ทรงสร้างฤดูร้อนและฤดูหนาว

¹⁷You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.

¹⁸ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงระลึกข้อนี้ว่า ศัตรูเยาะเย้ยอย่างไร และชนชาติโง่ได้หมิ่นประมาทพระนามของพระองค์อย่างไร

¹⁸Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, Yahweh. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.

¹⁹ขออย่าทรงมอบวิญญาณนกเขาของพระองค์แก่ฝูงชนโหดร้าย ขออย่าทรงลืมชุมนุมชนยากจนของพระองค์เป็นนิตย์

¹⁹Don’t deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Don’t forget the life of your poor forever.

²⁰ขอสนพระทัยในพันธสัญญา เพราะสถานที่มืดของแผ่นดินเต็มไปด้วยที่อยู่ของความทารุณ

²⁰Honor your covenant, for haunts of violence fill the dark places of the earth.

²¹ขออย่าให้ผู้ที่ถูกบีบบังคับได้อาย ขอให้คนจนและคนขัดสนสรรเสริญพระนามของพระองค์

²¹Don’t let the oppressed return ashamed. Let the poor and needy praise your name.

²²ข้าแต่พระเจ้า ขอทรงลุกขึ้น สู้คดีของพระองค์ ขอทรงระลึกว่าคนโง่เย้ยพระองค์อยู่วันยังค่ำ

²²Arise, God! Plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.

²³ขออย่าทรงลืมเสียงของคู่อริของพระองค์ เสียงอึงคะนึงของคนที่ลุกขึ้นสู้พระองค์ก็เพิ่มขึ้นอยู่เรื่อยๆ

²³Don’t forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.
