1Bula-ra Petrus pai' Yohanes mololita-pidi mpololitai ntodea hi Tomi Alata'ala, rata ba hangkuja dua imam pai' to Saduki hante kapala' polisi Tomi Alata'ala, tumai mpohirua' -raka.
1And as they spake unto the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,
2To Saduki, uma-rana raparasaya katuwu' -ra nculii' mpai' tauna to mate. Toe pai' moroe lia-ra mpo'epe Petrus pai' Yohanes mpotudui' ntodea katuwu' -na nculii' Yesus. Apa' tudui' -ra toe mpakanoto katuwu' -ra nculii' tauna tomate.
2being sore troubled because they taught the people, and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3Toe pai' rahoko' -ramo suro to rodua toera, pai' rapopesua' hi rala tarungku'. Apa' neo' mobengi-mi, toe pai' rapotuhu hi ree-ramo ulu, duu' kamepulo-na.
3And they laid hands on them, and put them in ward unto the morrow: for it was now eventide.
4Aga tauna to mpo'epe lolita-ra Petrus pai' Yohanes hi Tomi Alata'ala we'i, wori' -ramo to mepangala' hi Yesus, alaa-na katedoo-donihia lau-mi kawori' topetuku' -na Yesus, duu' -na lima ncobu-ramo.
4But many of them that heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
5Kamepulo-na, topohura agama, pangkeni to Yahudi pai' guru agama, morumpu omea-ra hi Yerusalem.
5And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem;
6Porumpu-ra toe, hante Imam Bohe Hanas, pai' hante Kayafas, Yohanes, Aleksander pai' hante ompi' -ompi' Imam Bohe ntani' -na.
6and Annas the high priest [was there], and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest.
7Ria-ramo omea, rapehubui-mi bona Petrus pai' Yohanes rakeni mponyanyo-ra. Karata-ra hi ree, mepekune' -ramo topohura toera mpekune' Petrus pai' Yohanes, ra'uli': "Ngkaiapa kuasa-ni mpaka'uri' topungku tetui? Hema to mpowai' -koi kuasa tetu?"
7And when they had set them in the midst, they inquired, By what power, or in what name, have ye done this?
8Nto'u toe, Petrus nakuasai Inoha' Tomoroli', pai' -i mololita, na'uli': "Tuama-tuama pangkeni ntodea pai' topohura agama!
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders,
9Hewa toe lau niparesa' -kai, apa' mpotulungi-kai tauna to pungku toi-e, doko' ni'inca beiwa-kai mpaka'uri' -i.
9if we this day are examined concerning a good deed done to an impotent man, by what means this man is made whole;
10Jadi', bona ni'inca pai' bona hawe'ea to Israel mpo'inca, tau toii mo'uri' pai' mokore hi rehe'i ngkai kuasa Yesus Kristus to Nazaret. Yesus toei niparika', tapi' Alata'ala mpotuwu' -i nculii'.
10be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, [even] in him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11Hi'a toe-imi to natoa' lolita Buku Tomoroli' to mpo'uli' hewa toi: `Watu to nitadi koi' topowangu tomi, watu toe lau-mi to jadi' poko parawatu.'
11He is the stone which was set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner.
12Uma ria ohea ntani' -na mporata kalompea' ngkai Alata'ala, muntu' Yesus-wadi. Apa' hi humalili' dunia', uma ria haduaa tau ntani' -na, muntu' Yesus-wadi to naparia Alata'ala hi manusia', Hi'a-wadi to mokuasa mpohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta."
12And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.
13Konce topohura toera mpo'epe Petrus pai' Yohanes mololita hante uma ria kakoo-koroa' -ra, apa' Petrus pai' Yohanes toera, tau biasa-ra-wadi to uma mosikola molangko. Pai' rapelence-ra, kahira' -nami wengi tauna to mpotuku' Yesus.
13Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14Aga topohura toera, uma-ra daho' mebaro. Apa' topungku to rapaka'uri' toei, ria wo'o-i-hawo hi ree mokore dohe-ra Petrus pai' Yohanes.
14And seeing the man that was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15Toe pai' rapopalai-ra ulu suro Pue' Yesus toera ngkai porumpua-ra, pai' -ra mohawa',
15But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16ra'uli': "Tapopai-ramo to rodua toera? Apa' hawe'ea tauna hi Yerusalem mpo'inca kahira' -na to mpobabehi tanda mekoncehi to bohe toe. Hiaa' uma wo'o ma'ala tasapu.
16saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been wrought through them, is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
17Aga bona neo' hobo' tauna mpo'epe tudui' -ra, agina ta'ekahi-ra pai' tatagi-ra bona neo' -pi rajojo mpotudui' hema-hema mpokahangai' Yesus."
17But that it spread no further among the people, let us threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
18Jadi' oti toe, rakio' nculii' wo'o-ramo Petrus pai' Yohanes mesua', pai' ra'uli' -raka: "Kitagi mpu'u-koie', neo' -pi metudui' ba mpokahangai' hanga' Yesus!"
18And they called them, and charged them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19Ra'uli' Petrus pai' Yohanes: "Pekiri moto-koi, to'uma to napokono Alata'ala: mpotuku' hawa' -ni koi', ba mpotuku' hawa' Alata'ala-di.
19But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken unto you rather than unto God, judge ye:
20Ane kai' -kaina, uma ma'ala kipento'oi mpololita napa to kihilo pai' to ki'epe-mi."
20for we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard.
21Ngkai ree, hangkedi' kamoroe-ra topohura toera mpokaroe Petrus pai' Yohanes. Tapi' ka'omea-na rabahaka moto-ra, apa' uma ria ohea mpohuku' -ra. Apa' hawe'ea ntodea mpo'une' Alata'ala sabana tanda mekoncehi to rababehi toe.
21And they, when they had further threatened them, let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people; for all men glorified God for that which was done.
22Apa' tauna to rapaka'uri' toei, umuru-na opo' mpulu' mpae labi-mi.
22For the man was more than forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was wrought.
23Ka'oti-na Petrus pai' Yohanes rabahaka, hilou-ramo mpohirua' -raka doo-ra, pai' ralolita napa to ra'uli' -raka imam pangkeni pai' pangkeni to Yahudi ntani' -na.
23And being let go, they came to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said unto them.
24Kara'epe-na doo-ra lolita tohe'e, mekakae-ramo hangkaa-ngkania hi Alata'ala, ra'uli': "Pue', Iko to mpajadi' langi', dunia' pai' tahi' hante hawe'ea ihi' -na.
24And they, when they heard it, lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, O Lord, thou that didst make the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that in them is:
25Iko to mpopolibu' ntu'a-kai owi, Magau' Daud. Apa' Daud batua-nu, pai' bula-na nakuasai Inoha' Tomoroli', lolita-na mpolowa ami' -mi pe'ewa hawe'ea tauna mpo'ewa Pue' Yesus. Na'uli' hewa toi: `Napa-di pai' moroe rahi-ra tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi-e? Pai' napa wo'o-di pai' ntodea mohawa' doko' mpo'ewa Pue' Ala? Uma ria tuju-na hawa' -ra toe.
25who by the Holy Spirit, [by] the mouth of our father David thy servant, didst say, Why did the Gentiles rage, And the peoples imagine vain things?
26Magau' -magau' hi dunia', ngasa' -ramo. Pai' hawe'ea topohawa', hintuwu' -ra doko' mpo'ewa Pue' Ala pai' Magau' Topetolo' to napelihi-mi.'
26The kings of the earth set themselves in array, And the rulers were gathered together, Against the Lord, and against his Anointed:
27O Pue', lolita Daud tohe'e madupa' mpu'u-mi. Apa' hi rala ngata toi wengi, hintuwu' mpu'u-ramo Magau' Herodes Antipas pai' Pontius Pilatus, hante ntodea to Yahudi pai' tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi wo'o. Kahintuwua' -ra toe, doko' mpo'ewa Yesus, Batua-nu to Moroli' to nupelihi jadi' Magau' Topetolo'.
27for of a truth in this city against thy holy Servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together,
28Mohawa' -ra toe, mpopatehi Yesus. Ntaa' to rababehi toe mpopadupa' napa to oti nupakatantu ami' -midi! Hawe'ea tohe'e madupa' -mi ntuku' kuasa pai' konoa-nu moto Pue'.
28to do whatsoever thy hand and thy council foreordained to come to pass.
29"Wae lau Pue', epe-mi libu' -ra mpongasai' -kai! Toe pai' merapi' -makai hi Pue', kai' batua-nu tohe'i, wai' -kai karohoa bona daho' -kai mpohowa' Lolita-nu.
29And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants to speak thy word with all boldness,
30Popohiloi-ra kuasa-nu Pue', bona tauna to mohaki' ma'ala kipaka'uri', pai' tanda mekoncehi pai' anu mobaraka' ma'ala kibabehi hante kuasa Yesus, Batua-nu to Moroli'."
30while thy stretchest forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of thy holy Servant Jesus.
31Ka'oti-ra mosampaya hewa toe, kamoduja-nami tomi porumpua-ra, pai' hawe'ea-ra nakuasai Inoha' Tomoroli'. Ngkai ree, daho' mpu'u-ramo mpoparata Lolita Alata'ala hi ntodea.
31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken wherein they were gathered together; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32Hawe'ea topepangala' hi Yesus, tuwu' hintuwu' pai' hanono lau-ra-damo. Uma ria haduaa to mpo'uli': "Tohe'i anu-ku moto-kuwo." Hawe'ea to ria hi hira' rapodulua hangkaa-ngkania.
32And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and soul: and not one [of them] said that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33Suro Pue' Yesus ntora mpo'uli' posabi' -ra katuwu' -na nculii' Pue' Yesus, pai' uma mowo kamobaraka' -na lolita-ra. Pai' Alata'ala mpogane' -ra omea hante pegane' to bohe lia.
33And with great power gave the apostles their witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34Uma ria haduaa topetuku' Yesus to nakakurai'. Apa' pontu-na, ria-ra to mpobalu' tana' -ra ba tomi-ra,
34For neither was there among them any that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35pai' doi oli-na rakeni hilou ratonu hi suro Pue' Yesus. Doi tohe'e rabagi hi hema-hema to ria kaparaluua-na.
35and laid them at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto each, according as any one had need.
37Wae wo'o-hawo to nababehi Yusuf. Napobalu' tana' -na, pai' doi oli tana' -na natonu-raka suro Pue' Yesus. Yusuf toei hadua to Lewi ngkai tana' Siprus. Suro Pue' Yesus mpohanga' wo'o-i Barnabas. Batua-na: to mporohoi nono.
36And Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, Son of exhortation), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,
37having a field, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet.
