14

1Hangkani nto'u Eo Sabat, Yesus hilou ngkoni' hi tomi hadua pangkeni to Parisi. Bula-na hi ree, ralelemata-i mpopali' sala' -na.
1And it came to pass, when he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching him.
2Muu-mule' rata hadua tauna to mohaki' ngkumowu, mowoto witi' pai' pale-na.
2And behold, there was before him a certain man that had the dropsy.
3Yesus mpekune' -ra guru agama pai' to Parisi, na'uli': "Ntuku' atura agama-ta, ma'ala-ta mpaka'uri' topeda' hi Eo Sabat, ba uma-di?"
3And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?
4Guru agama pai' to Parisi toera, oja' -ra mpotompoi' -i. Ngkai ree, Yesus mpojama topeda' toei, napaka'uri' pai' nahubui-i hilou.
4But they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go.
5Oti toe na'uli' -raka: "Ane rapa' -na ria ana' -ta ba japi-ta monawu' hi rala buwu hi Eo Sabat, ha uma sahu ta'ore' -i tumai, nau' hi eo pepuea' -e?"
5And he said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a well, and will not straightway draw him up on a sabbath day?
6Aga uma hema to daho' mpohono' -i.
6And they could not answer again unto these things.
7Hi tomi to Parisi toe, Yesus mpohilo ria torata to doko' mohura hi pohuraa karabilaa'. Toe pai' natudui' -ra hante lolita rapa' toi.
7And he spake a parable unto those that were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief seats; saying unto them,
8Na'uli': "Ane rakio' -ko hilou hi posusaa' poncamokoa, neo' mohura hi pohuraa karabilaa'. Meka' ba ria-di mpai' to rakio' to meliu karabila' -na ngkai iko.
8When thou art bidden of any man to a marriage feast, sit not down in the chief seat; lest haply a more honorable man than thou be bidden of him,
9Tumai mpai' pue' tomi mpo'uli' -koko hewa toi: `Wai' -ki hi'a-hana pohuraa tetu!' Me'ea' -ko mpai' hilou mohura hi kadingkia' -na.
9and he that bade thee and him shall come and say to thee, Give this man place; and then thou shalt begin with shame to take the lowest place.
10Jadi', ane rakio' -ko hilou hi posusaa', agina mohura-ko hi kadingkia' -na, bona pue' tomi mpai' mpo'uli' -koko: `Bale, mai-ta mohura hi pohuraa to lompe' toe mai.' Ane hewa toe, rabila' lau-moko hi mata ntodea.
10But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest place; that when he that hath bidden thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have glory in the presence of all that sit at meat with thee.
11Hawe'ea to mpomolangko nono-ra, Pue' Ala mpodingkihi-ra, pai' hawe'ea to mpakadingki' nono-ra, Pue' Ala mpomolangko-ra."
11For everyone that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12Oti toe, mololita wo'o-imi Yesus mpololitai pue' tomi. Na'uli': "Ane takio' tauna ngkaralai posusa' -ta, ba ngkoni' mpo'eo ba ngkabengia, neo' mpokio' bale-ta, ompi' -ta, ba topo'ua' rala ngata. Apa' bate rakio' wo'o-ta mpai', alaa-na tehiwili-mi kehi-ta.
12And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.
13Jadi' ane tababehi posusa', kio' tauna tokabu, tokeru, topungku pai' towero.
13But when thou makest a feast, bid the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14Ane wae pobabehi-ta, Pue' Ala mpogane' -ta mpai', apa' tauna to hewa toe uma mpokulei' mpohiwili kehi-ta. Kehi-ta tetu nahiwili moto mpai' Pue' Ala hi Eo Kiama, nto'u kanapotuwu' -ra nculii' tauna to monoa' hi poncilo-na."
14and thou shalt be blessed; because they have not [wherewith] to recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed in the resurrection of the just.
15Bula-ra ngkoni' toe, hadua torata mpo'epe lolita-na Yesus, pai' na'uli' -ki: "Marasi' tauna to mpokaralai posusa' hi rala Kamagaua' -na Alata'ala."
15And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
16Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -ki tauna toei: "Hangkani ria hadua tauna to mpobabehi susa' bohe, pai' mpokio' wori' tauna.
16But he said unto him, A certain man made a great supper; and he bade many:
17Sadia-mi omea, nahubui pahawaa' -na hilou mpo'uli' -raka to rakio': `Mai-tamo hilou hi posusaa', apa' sadia-mi omea.'
17and he sent forth his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for [all] things are now ready.
18Aga tauna to rakio' toera, motance omea-ra. To lomo' -na mpo'uli': `Lako' me'oli tana' -a, pai' kana hilou ulu kupehiloi. Merapi' ampu-a, uma-a tilou.'
18And they all with one [consent] began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a field, and I must needs go out and see it; I pray thee have me excused.
19To hadua-na mpo'uli': `Lako' mpo'oli japi-a lima moko, hilou kuperao mpake' -ra mopajeko'. Merapi' ampu-a, uma-a tilou!'
19And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them; I pray thee have me excused.
20To ntani' -na wo'o mpo'uli': `Aku' lako' oti ncamoko-a. Uma-a bisa tilou.'
20And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21"Pahawaa' toei nculii' hilou hi pue' susa' mpowoli' lolita-ra toe. Uma-pi mowo kamoroe-na pue' susa', na'uli' -ki pahawaa' -na: `Pesahui hilou hi karajaa pai' hi porompengaa ohea hi rala ngata. Bawai-ramo tumai tokabu, tokeru, towero, pai' topungku.' Hilou mpu'u-imi-hawo pahawaa' toei mpotuku' hawa' pue' susa'.
21And the servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and maimed and blind and lame.
22"Karata-na nculii', na'uli' mpo'uli' -ki pue' susa': `Tuama, hawa' -nu kupopomako' -mi, aga ko'ia ihia' tomi-nu, ria-pidi pohuraa.'
22And the servant said, Lord, what thou didst command is done, and yet there is room.
23"Na'uli' pue' susa': `Hilou tena-ko hi ohea bohe pai' ohea to kedi' hi mali ngata, pewuku-ra tauna tumai, bona tomi-ku ihia' hobo'.
23And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and constrain [them] to come in, that my house may be filled.
24Mpu'u ku'uli', ngkai hawe'ea tauna to kukio' toera lou, uma haduaa-ra to mpokoni' ba apa-apa hi posusa' -ku.'"
24For I say unto you, that none of those men that were bidden shall taste of my supper.
25Wori' tauna mpotuku' Yesus rala pomakoa' -na. Yesus mewili' hi tauna toera pai' na'uli' -raka:
25Now there went with him great multitudes: and he turned, and said unto them,
26"Tauna to doko' mpotuku' -a, aga uma meliu pe'ahi' -na hi Aku' ngkai pe'ahi' -na hi tina-na, tuama-na, tobine-na, ana' -na, ompi' -na, ba paiana woto-na moto-mi, uma-i ma'ala jadi' topetuku' -ku.
26If any man cometh unto me, and hateth not his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27Tauna to jadi' topetuku' -ku kana mpopaha'a kaju parika' -na-- batua-na kana sadia-i mporata kaparia ba paiana rapatehi sabana petuku' -na hi Aku'. Jadi', tauna to uma dota mpopaha'a kaju parika' -na pai' mpotuku' -a, uma-i ma'ala jadi' topetuku' -ku.
27Whosoever doth not bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
28"Ane ria to doko' mpowangu tomi bohe, napohura-ki ulu mporeke ongkoso' pompowangu-na, ba hono' mpai' doi-na ba uma-di.
28For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doth not first sit down and count the cost, whether he have [wherewith] to complete it?
29Apa' ane mpolia' natu'u-mi parawatu-na pai' uma hudu nawangu apa' naka'otii doi-na, hawe'ea tauna to mpohilo mpotawai-i,
29Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him,
30ra'uli': `Ii, ni'anu-di doko' mpowangu tomi bohe, ntaa' uma-di hono' doi-nae!'
30saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31"Wae wo'o, ane hadua magau' to ria tantara-na hampulu' ncobu manga'e hante hadua magau' to ria tantara-na rompulu' ncobu, kana napekiri ncala', ba rakule' mpo'ewa-ra ba uma-di.
31Or what king, as he goeth to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32Ane na'inca ka'uma-na mpai' hompe tantara-na, molaa-pidi bali' -na, nahubui-mi suro hilou mpali' kahintuwuaa'."
32Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and asketh conditions of peace.
33Yesus mpokaliliu lolita-na, na'uli': "Wae wo'o koi', ane uma-koi mpobahaka hawe'ea to ria hi koi', uma-koi ma'ala jadi' topetuku' -ku.
33So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
34"Poi', wori' kalaua-na. Aga ane mobali' -mi kapoi' -na alaa-na uma-pi mopoi', napa tena to ma'ala mpakapoi' -i?
34Salt therefore is good: but if even the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35Uma ntoto-pi ria tuju-na, ba raruduhi-ki hinu'a ba rapopai-pai. Agina ratadi lau-imi. Hema-koi to tilingaa, pe'epei lompe'!"
35It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill: [men] cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
