Matthew

6

1"Pelompehi-e', neo' -ta mpobabehi ada agama hi mata ntodea bona rahilo doo-wadi. Ane hewa toe gau' -ta, uma-ta mpai' nagane' Alata'ala, Tuama-ta to hi rala suruga.
1Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: else ye have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.
2Jadi', ane mewai' -ta doi hi tauna to kabu, neo' -hawo ntora ra'uli' hilau, hewa kabiasaa-ra tauna to lompe' hi mali-na-wadi. Hira' toe mpopehilo kalompe' nono-ra hi rala tomi posampayaa ba hi karajaa bona ra'une' doo. Mpu'u ku'uli' -kokoi: uma mpai' ria napa-napa to rarata ngkai Alata'ala, apa' mpolia' rarata-mi-rana pe'une' doo.
2When therefore thou doest alms, sound not a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.
3Jadi' ane kita' mewai', agina tatonu bongo pewai' -ta, neo' ra'uli' hilau.
3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4Agina tatonu pewai' -ta tetu, hante uma ria to mpo'incai. Tuama-ta to hi rala suruga-wadi to mpo'inca. Nahilo kehi-ta to uma ra'incai doo, pai' nahiwili-taka mpai'.
4that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee.
5"Ane mosampaya, neo' -ta hewa tauna to lompe' hi mali-na-wadi. Konoa-ra, mosampaya ngkokore hi rala tomi posampayaa ba hi porompengaa ohea bona rahilo doo. Jadi', apa' mpolia' rarata-mi-rana pe'une' doo, mpu'u ku'uli' -kokoi: uma-rapa mpai' mporata napa-napa ngkai Alata'ala.
5And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.
6Jadi', ane mosampaya-ta, mesua' hi rala tomi, unca wobo', pai' -ta lako' mosampaya-di hi Tuama-ta to uma kahiloa. Apa' nahilo moto-di kehi-ta to uma ra'incai doo, pai' nahiwili-taka mpai'.
6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thine inner chamber, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee.
7"Ane mosampaya, neo' ntora rahuu-hulii' hante uma ria pekiri, hewa tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala. Ra'uli' -rana, ane moloe pololita-ra, madupa' mpai' posampaya-ra.
7And in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8Neo' mpenau' kehi-ra toe! Na'inca ami' -mi Tuama-ta to hi rala suruga napa to taparaluu kako'ia-na taperapi'.
8Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9Jadi', mosampaya hewa toi: Tuama-kai to hi rala suruga, Pomperapia' -kai, bona hawe'ea tauna mpobila' hanga' -nu to moroli',
9After this manner therefore pray ye. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10bona Iko jadi' Magau' hi dunia', bona hawe'ea tauna hi dunia' mpobabehi konoa-nu, hibalia hante ihi' suruga.
10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
11Wai' -kai pongkoni' to kiparaluu eo toe lau.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12Ampungi sala' -kai, hewa kai' wo'o mpo'ampungi sala' doo hi kai'.
12And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13Neo' -kai nupelele' rasori, bahaka-kai ngkai kuasa anudaa'. ((Apa' Iko-mi Magau' to mokuasa pai' to bohe tuwu' -nu, duu' kahae-hae-na. Amin.))
13And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one.]
14"Ane ta'ampungi doo-ta to masala' hi kita', Tuama-ta to hi rala suruga wo'o mpo'ampungi sala' -ta.
14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15Aga ane uma ta'ampungi doo to masala' hi kita', wae wo'o Tuama-ta to hi rala suruga, uma-ta na'ampungi.
15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16"Ane mopuasa', neo' mengkamonto' hewa tauna to lompe' hi mali-na-wadi. Ane mopuasa' -ra, mengkamonto' -ra pai' tungkai' uma-ra monoku ba mokarabii, bona rahilo doo kamopuasa' -ra. Kiwoi-e': apa' mpolia' rarata-mi-rana pe'une' doo, uma-rapa mpai' mporata napa-napa ngkai Alata'ala.
16Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen of men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.
17Jadi', ane mopuasa' -ta, monoku pai' mokarabii-ta,
17But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head, and wash thy face;
18bona neo' ra'incai doo kamopuasa' -ta. Muntu' Tuama-ta to hi rala suruga to uma kahiloa, Hi'a-wadi to mpo'inca kamopuasa' -ta. Nahilo moto kehi-ta to uma ra'incai doo, pai' nahiwili-taka mpai'.
18that thou be not seen of men to fast, but of thy Father who is in secret: and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall recompense thee.
19"Neo' mporumpu rewa hi dunia'. Apa' rewa hi dunia' ma'ala naserohi anutuwu' ba jadi' ta'igaraa'. Pontimamahia rewa-ta ma'ala rabongka pai' rewa-ta rapanako.
19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:
20Kana mporumpu-ta rewa hi rala suruga. Rewa-ta hi rala suruga toe, uma mpai' moronto, apa' uma-hana ria to meta'igaraai' hi ria, pai' uma ria anutuwu' to mposerohi, pai' uma ria to mpanako.
20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21Apa' hiapa pontimamahia rewa-ta, hi retu wo'o nono-ta.
21for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.
22"Mata-ta ma'ala rarapai' -ki hulu'. Ane lompe' mata-ta, monoto pehilo-ta.
22The lamp of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23Aga ane mogawu mata-ta, hewa mobengi pehilo-ta. Jadi', ane Pue' mpobajahi nono-ta pai' tapomobengi nculii', uma mowo kamobengi riki-na.
23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness!
24"Uma-hawo ria hadua tauna to mobago hi rodua tua. Apa' hadua mpai' nape'ahi', hadua napokahuku'. Hadua natuku' -ki hawa' -na, hadua nasapuaka. Wae wo'o kita', uma-ta bisa mpotuku' konoa Alata'ala, pai' hamali-ta ntora mporumpu rewa dunia'.
24No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25"Toe pai' ku'uli' -kokoi: neo' -koi me'eka' ba mpo'uli': `Napa-le' to takoni' -e pai' to ta'inu-e?' Neo' -koi me'eka' ba mpo'uli': `Napa-le' to tapohea-e?' Apa' tuwu' -ni meliu ngkai pongkoni' pai' pohea.
25Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?
26Penonoi-dile danci to ngkalimoko hilou tumai-e. Uma-ra molia', uma-ra mepae, uma ria wilulu-ra. Aga nau' wae, Tuama-ni to hi rala suruga mpowai' moto-ra pongkoni'. Hiaa' hi poncilo Alata'ala, koi' meliu katuwu' -ni ngkai katuwu' danci, pai' meliu pompewili' -na hi koi' ngkai pompewili' -na danci.
26Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value then they?
27Napa-mi kalaua-na wori' rahi pekiri-ni pai' kakoroa' -ni. Apa' nau' sese' ncuu-ta mpopekiri wori' nyala, uma-ta bisa mpodonihii umuru-ta nau' kampa' hamengi.
27And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?
28"Napa pai' sese' rahi-koi mpopekiri pohea-ni? Penonoi-dile katuwu' wunga hi papada-e. Uma-ra mobago, uma-ra mpobabehi pohea-ra.
28And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29Aga ku'uli' -kokoi: bangku' Magau' Salomo-hawoe' hante hawe'ea ka'uaa' -na, pohea-na uma hewa kancola-na wunga toera lau.
29yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30Jadi', ane Alata'ala mpakancola kowo' to hi papada toera lau-- to ria hi eo toe lau, pai' rasuwe mepulo-- peliu-liu-nami koi'! Meliu pompewili' -na hi koi'. Jadi', napa-di pai' uma nipangala' pompewili' -nae?
30But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
31"Toe pai' ku'uli' -kokoi: neo' -koi me'eka' ba mpo'uli': `Napa-le' to takoni' pai' to ta'inu-e? Napa-le' to tapohea-e?'
31Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32Hawe'ea tetu lau to ntora rapenonoi tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala. Koi', neo' -pi nipoka'eka' tetu lau, apa' Tuama-ni to hi rala suruga mpo'inca kaniparaluu-na hawe'ea tetu lau.
32For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33To kana tapenonoi, toi: babehi napa to monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala, bona Hi'a jadi' Magau' -ta. Ane toe-pi to tapopori'ulu, to ntani' -ntani' -na nawai' moto-ta mpai' omea.
33But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34Jadi', neo' -ta sese' mpopekiri napa to jadi' eo mepulo. Eo toe lau hono' -mi-hawo kasusaa' -na, neo' -pi radonihii tena mpekiri to jadi' hi eo mepulo.
34Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
