Uma: New Testament

American Standard Version

Matthew

7

1"Neo' -ta mposalai' doo, bona uma wo'o-ta mpai' nasalai' Alata'ala.
1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2Apa' pohuka' to tapake' hi doo, tetu wo'o-hawo mpai' to rapopohuka' -taka. Batua-na, ane liu rahi-ta mposalai' doo, hewa toe wo'o mpai' Alata'ala mpobotuhi kara-kara-ta.
2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.
3"Napa pai' mponaa-ta gege' hi mata doo, hiaa' wince' kaju to hi mata-ta moto uma ta'incai karia-na!
3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4Beiwa-ta ma'ala mpo'uli' -ki doo: `Mai kulali gege' -nu,' bo ria moto wo'o-di wince' kaju hi mata-ta.
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me cast out the mote out of thine eye; and lo, the beam is in thine own eye?
5Neo' mpetolompei' kehi! Kana talali ulu wince' to hi mata-ta, bona monoto mata-ta mpolali gege' doo.
5Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
6"Anu to moroli' neo' rawai' -ki dike', nee-neo' mpai' tumai nahoko' lau-ta-wadi. Anu to masuli' oli-na neo' rarora-ki wawu, apa' na'ihe' mara-wadi-hana.
6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.
7"Perapi' -mi hi Alata'ala, nawai' moto-ta mpai'. Pali' kaparaluua-ta hi Alata'ala, tarata moto mpai'. Neo' tabahakai mpopebea wobo', Alata'ala mpobea moto-taka mpai' wobo' -na.
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8Apa' hema to merapi' bate rawai'. Hema to mpali' bate mporata. Hema to mpopebea wobo', bate rabea-ki wobo'.
8for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9"Ha ria-koi to mpowai' watu hi ana' -ni ane ana' -ni mperapi' koni' -e?
9Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;
10Ba mpowai' -i ule ane mperapi' -i bau' -e? Uma-hawo.
10or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?
11Nau' hewa apa-mi kadada'a-nie, ni'inca moto mpowai' to lompe' hi ana' -ni. Peliu-liu-nami Tuama-ni to hi rala suruga! Na'inca lia mpewai' to lompe' hi tauna to merapi' hi Hi'a.
11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12"Hawe'ea po'ingku to tapokono rababehi doo hi kita', toe wo'o to kana tababehi hi doo. Toe-mile tudui' Atura Pue' pai' tudui' nabi-nabi-e.
12All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13"Mesua' -koi ntara wobo' to jopi', apa' mowela' wobo' pai' ohea to mpotoa' naraka, pai' wori' wo'o tauna to ntara hi ohea toe.
13Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.
14Tapi' kedi' wobo' pai' jopi' ohea to mpotoa' katuwua' to lompe', hangkedi' lia-wadi tauna to mpotara.
14For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.
15"Mo'inga' -inga' -koi, apa' ria tauna to mpo'uli', nabi-ra. Ntaa' boa' -radi. Hiloa-ra hewa tauna to mepangala' hi Alata'ala. Tapi' patuju-ra doko' mpokero pepangala' doo-wadi.
15Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
16Ta'inca pebagiu-ra ane tanaa wua' pobago-ra. Wua' anggur uma rahopu' ngkai walaa to morui. Wua' ara uma rahopu' ngkai jilata.
16By their fruits ye shall know them. Do [men] gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Kaju to morudu', wua' -na lompe'. Kaju to kee', uma wo'o lompe' wua' -na.
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18Uma ria kaju to lompe' mowua' dada'a, pai' uma ria kaju to dada'a mowua' to lompe'.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
20Kaju to uma mowua' lompe', bate ratoki pai' raropu. Wae wo'o Alata'ala bate mpohuku' nabi to boa' toera. Ta'inca kaboa' -ra ane tanaa wua' pobago-ra.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
21"Wori' tauna to mpokio' -a `Pue'! Pue'!' aga uma hawe'ea-ra to jadi' ntodea Alata'ala hi rala Kamagaua' -na. Muntu' tauna to mpobabehi konoa Tuama-ku-wadi to jadi' ntodea-na.
20Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
22Hi Eo Kiama mpai', wori' tauna mpo'uli' -ka: `Pue'! Pue'! Ha uma nu'incai, kai' -mi to mpoparata Lolita Alata'ala hi rala hanga' -nue? Hi rala hanga' -nu kipopalai seta. Pai' wori' wo'o tanda mekoncehi kibabehi hante hanga' -nu Pue'.'
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
23"Kutompoi' -ra mpai': `Uma-kuna ku'incai-koi! Palai-koi ngkai rei, koi' to dada'a po'ingku-ni.'
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?
24"Hema to mpo'epe lolita-ku toi pai' natuku', tauna toei hewa tauna to pante mpowangu tomi-na hi lolo parawatu to moroho.
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
25Karata-na uda, mowo' ue, pai' ngolu' mporumpa' tomi toe, tapi' uma-i modungka, apa' rawangu hi lolo watu to moroho.
24Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:
26"Aga tauna to mpo'epe lolita-ku toi pai' uma natuku', tauna toei hewa to wojo to mpowangu tomi-na hi lolo wo'one.
25and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.
27Karata-na uda, mowo' ue, pai' ngolu' mporumpa' tomi toe, kamodungka-nami, mokero hangkani."
26And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:
28Kahudu-na Yesus mpololita hawe'ea toe, rapokakonce tauna to mpo'epe tudui' -na.
27and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.
29Apa' uma-i metudui' hewa guru-guru agama. Petudui' -na, hewa tauna to mokuasa mpu'u.
28And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching:
29for he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as their scribes.
