Darby's Translation

1 Corinthians

11

1Tuku' po'ingku-ku, hewa aku' wo'o mpotuku' po'ingku Kristus.
1Be my imitators, even as *I* also [am] of Christ.
2Kakaliliua-na ompi', ku'une' -koi apa' hi butu nyala-na nikiwoi oa' -a, pai' nituku' oa' tudui' to kuparata-mikokoi.
2Now I praise you, that in all things ye are mindful of me; and that as I have directed you, ye keep the directions.
3Aga ria hanyala to kana kupopokiwoii-kokoi. Kristus ma'ala rarapai' -ki woo' hi hawe'ea tomane. Tomane-hawo hewa woo' hi tobine, pai' Alata'ala hewa woo' hi Kristus.
3But I wish you to know that the Christ is the head of every man, but woman's head [is] the man, and the Christ's head God.
4Ane tomane mokaramuai pai' -i mosampaya ba mpohowa' lolita Alata'ala hi pogamparaa, tomane toei mpokedi' Kristus, to jadi' woo' -na.
4Every man praying or prophesying, having [anything] on his head, puts his head to shame.
5Aga ane hadua tobine mosampaya ba mpohowa' lolita Alata'ala hi pogamparaa, pai' uma-i mokaramuai, uma-hana lompe'. Apa' ntuku' ada, tobine toei mpokedi' tomane-na, to jadi' woo' -na. Tobine to uma mokaramuai toei, hibalia kame'eai' -na hante tobine to rakoku lau-mi wuluwoo' -na.
5But every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered puts her own head to shame; for it is one and the same as a shaved [woman].
6Jadi', ane ria tobine to uma dota mokaramuai hi pogamparaa, agina ragunci lau-mi wuluwoo' -na. Aga ane me'ea' -i ragunci ba rakoku, kana mokaramuai-i.
6For if a woman be not covered, let her hair also be cut off. But if [it be] shameful to a woman to have her hair cut off or to be shaved, let her be covered.
7Tomane to mosampaya ba mpohowa' lolita Alata'ala, neo' mokaramuai, apa' tomane rapajadi' hi rala lence Alata'ala bona hanga' Alata'ala rapomobohe. Tobine-hawo kana mokaramuai apa' tobine mpomobohe hanga' tomane-na.
7For man indeed ought not to have his head covered, being God's image and glory; but woman is man's glory.
8Apa' tomane uma rapajadi' ngkai tobine, tobine-hanale to rapajadi' ngkai tomane-e.
8For man is not of woman, but woman of man.
9Pai' wo'o, bela tomane to rapajadi' bona mpotulungi tobine, tobine rapajadi' bona mpotulungi tomane.
9For also man was not created for the sake of the woman, but woman for the sake of the man.
10Toe-mi pai' tobine kana mokaramuai, hewa tanda pengkoru-na, apa' ria wo'o-hawo mala'eka to mpopanto' -ta.
10Therefore ought the woman to have authority on her head, on account of the angels.
11Aga nau' -pa wae, hi kita' to mepangala' hi Pue', tobine pai' tomane hibaa-balia hi rala hawe'ea-na. Tobine uma tuwu' mokalaua hi woto-na moto, wae wo'o tomane uma tuwu' mokalaua hi woto-na moto.
11However, neither [is] woman without man, nor man without woman, in [the] Lord.
12Apa' hewa tobine to lomo' -na rapajadi' ngkai tomane, tomane wo'o-hawo putu ngkai tobine. Hawe'ea-na ngkai Alata'ala.
12For as the woman [is] of the man, so also [is] the man by the woman, but all things of God.
13Pekiri moto-koi: ha natao tobine mosampaya hi Alata'ala hi rala pogamparaa ane uma-i mokaramuai?
13Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman should pray to God uncovered?
14Rapa' -na ane tomane moloe wuluwoo' -na, biasa ta'uli' uma ntoto ria taoa-na.
14Does not even nature itself teach you, that man, if he have long hair, it is a dishonour to him?
15Aga ane tobine moloe wuluwoo' -na, ta'uli' lompe'. Wuluwoo' -na to moloe toe kancolaa-na-hana, apa' wuluwoo' to moloe rawai' -raka tobine raponcawa mua-ra.
15But woman, if she have long hair, [it is] glory to her; for the long hair is given [to her] in lieu of a veil.
16Tapi' ane ria to doko' mpobaro to ku'uli' tohe'i, toi-wadi lolita-ku: ada to kituku' kai', tobine kana mokaramuai hi pogamparaa, pai' ada toe wo'o-mi to ratuku' topetuku' Alata'ala hi ngata-ngata ntani' -na. Ntani' -na ngkai toe, uma ria.
16But if any one think to be contentious, *we* have no such custom, nor the assemblies of God.
17Kakaliliua-na, ria wo'o-pi hanyala to doko' ku'uli' -kokoi. Uma-koi ku'une' sabana kehi-ni tohe'i, apa' porumpu-ni uma mpokeni kalompea' -na, kadada'aa-na lau-wadi.
17But [in] prescribing [to you on] this [which I now enter on], I do not praise, [namely,] that ye come together, not for the better, but for the worse.
18Lomo' -lomo' -na, ku'epe kareba to mpo'uli': ane morumpu-koi mogampara, ria posisalaa-ni hadua pai' hadua. Hiaa' neo' kupemakono mpu'u-e'!
18For first, when ye come together in assembly, I hear there exist divisions among you, and I partly give credit [to it].
19Lompe' lau-di ane ria posisalaa-nie, bona incana ba hema mpu'u-koi to moroho petuku' -ni hi Pue'.
19For there must also be sects among you, that the approved may become manifest among you.
20Jadi', ane moromu-koi hangkaa-ngkania, po'ingku-ni uma natao hi tauna to morumpu ngkoni' roti pai' nginu anggur mpokiwoi kamate-na Pue' Yesus.
20When ye come therefore together into one place, it is not to eat [the] Lord's supper.
21Apa' hi poromu-ni, ria-koi hantongo' to kaliliu mpokoni' pongkoni' -ni moto pai' nginu anggur-ni moto, alaa-na nipolangu moto-mi-koina. Hiaa' doo-ni to uma nakariai, mo'oro' moto-ra.
21For each one in eating takes his *own* supper before [others], and one is hungry and another drinks to excess.
22Ha uma-koi tomia-e? Agina ngkoni' pai' nginu moto-mokoi rala tomi-ni ntuku' konoa-ni. Napa pai' hewa toe kehi-ni hi pogamparaa-e? Ba nipokedi' -ra-rana hingka doo-ni to napobagia Alata'ala? Doko' ni'eai' -ra to uma nakariai-e? Napa to kana ku'uli' -kokoi tohe'i-e? Ha taoa-na ku'une' -koi? Uma-hanae'! Hi gau' -ni tohe'e uma-koi ku'une'.
22Have ye not then houses for eating and drinking? or do ye despise the assembly of God, and put to shame them who have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you? In this [point] I do not praise.
23Apa' kutudui' moto-koi wengi napa batua-na ngkoni' pai' nginu hangkaa-ngkania mpokiwoi kamate-na Pue'. Pai' napa to kutudui' -kokoi toe, kutarima ngkai Pue' moto. Hi bengi karapobalu' -na Pue' Yesus, na'ala' -mi roti
23For *I* received from the Lord, that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus, in the night in which he was delivered up, took bread,
24pai' ka'oti-na mpo'uli' tarima kasi hi Alata'ala, napihe-pihe pai' na'uli' -raka ana'guru-na: "Toi-mi woto-ku to kutonu mpotolo' -koi. Babehi-mokoi ada toi bona mpokiwoi-a."
24and having given thanks broke [it], and said, This is my body, which [is] for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25Wae wo'o ka'oti-ra ngkoni', na'ala' sangkiri' to ihia' anggur, pai' na'uli': "Ihi' sangkiri' toi mpobatuai pojanci Alata'ala to bo'u, to mpoposidai' Alata'ala pai' manusia', to rapadupa' hante raa' -ku. Butu ngkani-ni nginu, babehi-koi tohe'i bona mpokiwoi-a."
25In like manner also the cup, after having supped, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye shall drink [it], in remembrance of me.
26Jadi', butu ngkani takoni' roti pai' ta'inu anggur hangkaa-ngkania hewa toe, to tababehi toe mpotutura kamate-na Pue', duu' -na rata nculii' -i mpai'.
26For as often as ye shall eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye announce the death of the Lord, until he come.
27Toe pai' ku'uli' -kokoi: tauna to ngkoni' roti ba mpo'inu anggur Pue' toe hante kehi to uma natao, bate masala' -ra, apa' hewa uma rasaile' woto pai' raa' -na Pue' to nabatuai ada toe.
27So that whosoever shall eat the bread, or drink the cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty in respect of the body and of the blood of the Lord.
28Jadi', butu dua tauna kana mpoparesa' ncala' kehi-na, pai' lako' ma'ala-idi ngkoni' roti pai' nginu anggur toe.
28But let a man prove himself, and thus eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
29Apa' tauna to ngkoni' roti pai' nginu anggur toe hante kehi to uma natao, bate nahuku' -ra Alata'ala, apa' uma rasaile' woto-na Pue' to nabatuai ada toe.
29For [the] eater and drinker eats and drinks judgment to himself, not distinguishing the body.
30Apa' ngkai toe-die pai' alaa-na wori' -koi to peda' ba lente wuku-nie, pai' ria mpu'u-mi doo-ni to mate.
30On this account many among you [are] weak and infirm, and a good many are fallen asleep.
31Jadi', ane taparesa' mperi'ulu moto-hawo kehi-ta, uma-hawo nahuku' -ta Pue'.
31But if we judged ourselves, so were we not judged.
32Aga ane nahuku' -ta Pue' hewa toe, batua-na naparesai' -ta hewa hadua tuama mpoparesai' ana' -na, bona neo' -ta mpai' rahuku' hangkaa-ngkania hante tauna to uma mpo'incai Pue'.
32But being judged, we are disciplined of [the] Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
33Ngkai toe-mi ompi' -ompi' -ku, ane morumpu-koi ngkoni' roti pai' nginu anggur mpokiwoi kamate-na Pue', agina momepopea-koi pai' lako' ngkoni' hangkaa-ngkania.
33So that, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait for one another.
34Ane ria to mo'oro', ngkoni' ncala' hi tomi-na. Nee-neo' mpai' morumpu-koi bona mogampara, hiaa' mporata huku' lau-dakoi ngkai Pue'. Pai' ane gau' -gau' to ntani' -na, ku'atoro' ane rata-a-damo mpai'.
34If any one be hungry, let him eat at home, that ye may not come together for judgment. But the other things, whenever I come, I will set in order.
