Darby's Translation

1 Corinthians

15

1Kakaliliua-na ompi' -ompi', doko' kupopokiwoii-koi ihi' Kareba Lompe' to kuparata-kokoi. Nitarima-mi Kareba Lompe' toe pai' moroho pepangala' -ni duu' tempo toi.
1But I make known to you, brethren, the glad tidings which I announced to you, which also ye received, in which also ye stand,
2Tehore-mokoi ngkai huku' jeko' -ni, asala moroho pongkakamu-ni Kareba Lompe' to kuparata-kokoi toe, nee-neo' mpai' uma ria tuju-na pepangala' -ni.
2by which also ye are saved, (if ye hold fast the word which I announced to you as the glad tidings,) unless indeed ye have believed in vain.
3Kareba Lompe' to kuparata-kokoi toe ompi', to kutarima wo'o-kuwo. To poko-na mpu'u: Kristus mate mpotolo' jeko' -ta, hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli'.
3For I delivered to you, in the first place, what also I had received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures;
4Ratana-i, pai' hi eo katolu-na rapotuwu' nculii' -imi, hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli'.
4and that he was buried; and that he was raised the third day, according to the scriptures;
5Oti toe, napopehuwu-mi woto-na hi Petrus, oti toe hi ana'guru-na to ntani' -na wo'o.
5and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
6Oti toe, mehupa' wo'o-imi hi lima atu labi tauna hangkani lau. Kaworia' -ra tuwu' -pidi duu' tempo toi, aga ba hangkuja dua-ra mate-ramo.
6Then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the most remain until now, but some also have fallen asleep.
7Oti ngkai ree, mehupa' wo'o-imi hi Yakobus, pai' hi hawe'ea suro-na.
7Then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles;
8Ka'omea-na lia, mehupa' wo'o-imi hi aku'. Aku' -e-kuwo, uma-a hewa suro-na to ntani' -na. Aku' -le jadi' suro Pue' Yesus ncorobaa hi tempo to uma rasangka, hewa ana'lei to putu hi eo to ko'ia wula-na.
8and last of all, as to an abortion, he appeared to *me* also.
9Apa' aku' suro Pue' Yesus to tepatu'ai lia tuwu' -ku ngkai hawe'ea suro-na. Kakoo-kono-na, uma-a natao rahanga' suro-na, apa' ri'ulu kubalinai' -ra topetuku' Alata'ala.
9For *I* am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called apostle, because I have persecuted the assembly of God.
10Aga ngkai ahi' pai' petulungi-na Alata'ala, pai' alaa-na jadi' hewa tohe'i-ama-kuwo. Pai' ria mpu'u kalaua-na ahi' pai' petulungi-na hi aku'. Apa' aku' -mi to meliu pobago-ku ngkai hawe'ea suro Pue' Yesus to ntani' -na. Aga uma hante karohoa-ku moto. Ahi' pai' petulungi-na Pue' -hanale to mporohoi-ae.
10But by God's grace I am what I am; and his grace, which [was] towards me, has not been vain; but I have laboured more abundantly than they all, but not *I*, but the grace of God which [was] with me.
11Jadi', ba ngkai hema ni'epe Kareba Lompe' toe, ba ngkai aku' ba ngkai suro to ntani' -na, uma mpenara'. Poko-nale, toe-mi-hawo to kipalele, pai' toe-mi to nipangala'.
11Whether, therefore, I or they, thus we preach, and thus ye have believed.
12Jadi', ane ntoa' kipalele-mi karapotuwu' -na nculii' Kristus ngkai kamatea-na, ha napa pai' ria-koi to ncapuaka katuwu' -ra nculii' tauna to mate hi Eo Kiama-e?
12Now if Christ is preached that he is raised from among [the] dead, how say some among you that there is not a resurrection of [those that are] dead?
13Ane makono uma-rada tuwu' nculii' to mate-e, tantu wae wo'o-hawo Kristus uma-i rapotuwu' nculii'.
13But if there is not a resurrection of [those that are] dead, neither is Christ raised:
14Pai' ane uma-i makono Kristus tuwu' nculii', uma ria kalaua-nakai mpopalele Kareba Lompe', uma wo'o ria tuju-na pepangala' -ni, apa' mepangala' -koi hi kareba to uma makono.
14but if Christ is not raised, then, indeed, vain also [is] our preaching, and vain also your faith.
15Melabi ngkai toe, monoa' -mi kamosabi' boa' -kai, apa' hi rala hanga' Alata'ala ki'uli' kanapotuwu' -na nculii' Kristus. Hiaa' ane makono mpu'u tauna to mate uma mpai' rapotuwu' nculii', batua-na, Alata'ala uma mpotuwu' nculii' -i Kristus.
15And we are found also false witnesses of God; for we have witnessed concerning God that he raised the Christ, whom he has not raised if indeed [those that are] dead are not raised.
16Apa' ane uma-ra-hawo rapotuwu' nculii' tauna to mate-e, tantu wae wo'o-wadi-hawo Kristus uma-i-hawo rapotuwu' nculii'.
16For if [those that are] dead are not raised, neither is Christ raised;
17Pai' ane uma mpu'u-i-hawo rapotuwu' nculii', uma ria kalaua-na pepangala' -ni, uma-koi tebahaka ngkai huku' jeko' -ni.
17but if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18Pai' wae wo'o, to Kristen to mpolia' mate-ramo, bate mate rala jeko' -ra-ramo pai' -ra mpotoa' naraka.
18Then indeed also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19Ane rapa' -na Kristus mpotulungi-ta bula-ta tuwu' hi dunia' toi, pai' hudu ree-wadi petulungi-na hi kita', batua-na ngkai hawe'ea tauna hi dunia' kita' toi-mi-tana to mpe'ahii' lia.
19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are [the] most miserable of all men.
20Tapi' to makono: rapotuwu' nculii' mpu'u-imile Kristus-e. Pai' katuwu' -na nculii' toe hewa janci karapotuwu' -ra nculii' wo'o mpai' hawe'ea topetuku' -na to mate.
20(But now Christ is raised from among [the] dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep.
21Apa' ngkai jeko' tau hadua pai' alaa-na manusia' kana mate, wae wo'o ngkai pobabehi tau hadua pai' alaa-na manusia' to mate rapotuwu' nculii'.
21For since by man [came] death, by man also resurrection of [those that are] dead.
22Hawe'ea tauna to mosidai' hante Adam kana mate. Wae wo'o hawe'ea to mosidai' hante Kristus bate mporata katuwua' to bo'u.
22For as in the Adam all die, thus also in the Christ all shall be made alive.
23Aga hore-hore pomeduncu-na: To lomo' -na tuwu' nculii', Kristus. Pai' hi karata-na nculii' hi rala dunia', lako' rapotuwu' nculii' wo'o-rada tauna to napobagia.
23But each in his own rank: [the] first-fruits, Christ; then those that are the Christ's at his coming.
24Oti toe-di mpai', lako' rata kahudua dunia'. Kristus mpodagi hawe'ea topoparenta pai' hawe'ea to mokuasa pai' to mobaraka', pai' -i moparenta jadi' Magau'. Oti toe, pai' natonu huraa kamagaua' -na hi Alata'ala to Tuama.
24Then the end, when he gives up the kingdom to him [who is] God and Father; when he shall have annulled all rule and all authority and power.
25Apa' Kristus kana moparenta jadi' Magau' duu' -na Alata'ala mpopengkoru hawe'ea bali' -na hi Hi'a.
25For he must reign until he put all enemies under his feet.
26Jadi', ane napotuwu' nculii' hawe'ea topetuku' -na pai' uma-pi ria kamatea, ma'ala ta'uli' nadagi-mi bali' -na to ka'omea-na, toe-mi kamatea.
26[The] last enemy [that] is annulled [is] death.
27Hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli': "Alata'ala mpopengkoru hawe'ea-na hi Hi'a." Jadi' monoto-mi ta'inca: bate hawe'ea-na mpai' rapopengkoru hi Kristus. Sampale to uma rapopengkoru hi Hi'a, muntu' Alata'ala-wadi, apa' Hi'a-mi to mpopengkoru hawe'ea-na hi Kristus.
27For he has put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he says that all things are put in subjection, [it is] evident that [it is] except him who put all things in subjection to him.
28Jadi', ane hawe'ea-na-damo rapopengkoru hi Kristus, Hi'a wo'o-hawo mpai' mengkoru hi Tuama-na, apa' hewa to ku'uli' we'i, Alata'ala-mi to mpopengkoru hawe'ea-na hi Hi'a. Ngkai ree-damo mpai', pai' Alata'ala mpoparentai hawe'ea-na pai' meliu kabohe hanga' -na ngkai hawe'ea-na.
28But when all things shall have been brought into subjection to him, then the Son also himself shall be placed in subjection to him who put all things in subjection to him, that God may be all in all.)
29Beiwa-mi ompi', ane makono mpu'u tauna to mate uma-pi mpai' tuwu' nculii', napa pai' ria-ra tauna to raniu' mposulewata doo-ra to mate? Ane uma mpu'u-hawo mpai' tuwu' nculii' tomate-e, napa pai' rababehi ada-ra toe?
29Since what shall the baptised for the dead do if [those that are] dead rise not at all? why also are they baptised for them?
30Pai' kai' wo'o, neo' uma ria kaputua-nakai rapongasai' bali' -kai sabana mpokeni-kai Kareba Lompe'. Hiaa' ane uma mpu'u-hawo rapotuwu' nculii' tomate-e, napa-mi kalaua-na hawe'ea to kitodohaka toe?
30Why do *we* also endanger ourselves every hour?
31Aku' -le, butu eo-na olo' mpobira' -a tuwu' sabana pobago-ku mpokeni Kareba Lompe'. Mpu'u ompi'! Napa to ku'uli' -kokoi makono lia, pai' bohe mpu'u nono-ku sabana koi' ompi', apa' mepangala' -mokoi hi Pue' -ta Kristus Yesus.
31Daily I die, by your boasting which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
32Hi rehe'i-a hi ngata Efesus, ria-ama hangkani radulu tauna to buko' mpobinata. Hiaa' ane rapa' -na kutodohaka hawe'ea toe bula-ku tuwu' hi wongko dunia' toi, pai' tauna to mate uma-pi tuwu' nculii', napa-mi-kuwo kalaua-na? Ane tomate uma mpai' rapotuwu' nculii', agina lau-pi ngkoni' pai' nginu-tamo mpali' kagoea', apa' mepulo romengi mpai', mate-tamo, pai' hudu ree-wadi katuwu' -ta. Wae-mi lolita tauna hantongo'.
32If, [to speak] after the manner of man, I have fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if [those that are] dead do not rise? let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.
33Neo' -koi ma'ala rabagiu! Ane nituku' -ra to mposapuaka katuwu' -ra nculii' tomate, po'ingku-ni to lompe' mobali' jadi' dada'a wo'o mpai'.
33Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34Toe pai' ku'uli' -kokoi: Pakanoto-mi nono-ni hewa to kasipato' -na, bahakai-mi mpobabehi jeko'. Apa' ria-pidi-koi to ko'ia monoto nono-ni mpo'inca Alata'ala. Lolita-ku tohe'i-e, ku'uli' bona me'ea' -koi.
34Awake up righteously, and sin not; for some are ignorant of God: I speak to you as a matter of shame.
35Tantu ria-ra to mpekune': "Ha beiwa-hawo tomate bisa rapotuwu' nculii' -e? Woto to beiwa mpai' to rawai' -rakae?"
35But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what body do they come?
36Wojo mpu'u tauna to mpekune' hewa tetu! Ane mpotuja' -ta ba napa-napa, tinuja' -ta ko'ia tuwu' ane uma-i ratana pai' ra'urihi hewa tomate ncala'.
36Fool; what *thou* sowest is not quickened unless it die.
37Pai' napa to tatuja', unto' mara-i-wadi, ba pae-i ba tinuja' to ntani' -na. Uma-hawo tapuna' hi rala tana' hamuli to ntali kaho-na pai' rau-na. Unto' mara-wadi-hawo to tatuja' -e.
37And what thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain: it may be of wheat, or some one of the rest:
38Ka'oti-na ratuja', Alata'ala mpotuwu' -i ntuku' konoa-na, duu' -na mehupa' tumai hangkaho pae ba napa-i, butu nyala unto' tuwu' hore-hore ntuku' lence-ra moto-ra-rawo.
38and God gives to it a body as he has pleased, and to each of the seeds its own body.
39Ane tapekiri wo'o hawe'ea binata to tuwu' hi wongko dunia', uma ntumuu hibalia lence-ra. Manusia', kahanyala-na lence-ra. Danci, kahanyala-na lence-ra. Uru, kahanyala-na lence-ra. Butu nyala binata, hore-hore ntani' -na lence-ra.
39Every flesh [is] not the same flesh, but one [is] of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another [flesh] of birds, and another of fishes.
40Wae wo'o to hi langi', hewa eo, wula pai' betue', uma hibalia hante to hi dunia'. To hi langi' -hawo, kahanyala-na kancola-ra, pai' to hi dunia' kahanyala-na kancola-ra.
40And [there are] heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies: but different is the glory of the heavenly, different that of the earthly:
41Pehini eo kahanyala-na. Pehini wula, pehini betue' hore kahanyala-na wo'o. Bangku' betue' -betue' -hawoe', hore-hore hanyala moto wo'o-rawo pehini-ra.
41one [the] sun's glory, and another [the] moon's glory, and another [the] stars' glory; for star differs from star in glory.
43Wae-mi mpai' tomate-e ane tuwu' nculii' -ra. Bula-ta tuwu' hi dunia' toi, lente pai' mpe'ahii' woto-ta. Ane mate-ta mpai', woto-ta ratana pai' jadi' pope. Aga ane rapotuwu' nculii' -tapa mpai', rabalii' -mi woto-ta toi jadi' woto to moroho pai' ncola, to uma-pi mate ba jadi' pope.
42Thus also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruptibility.
44To ratana, woto-ta to natao tuwu' hi dunia' toi. Aga ane rapotuwu' nculii' -ta-damo mpai', rabalii' woto-ta jadi' woto to natao mo'oha' hi suruga sabana baraka' Inoha' Tomoroli'. Woto-ta tempo toi, woto to natao mo'oha' hi dunia'. Woto-ta hi eo mpeno, woto to natao mo'oha' hi suruga.
43It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.
45Hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli': Alata'ala mpajadi' manusia' to lomo' -na, to rahanga' Adam, pai' nawai' -i katuwua'. Aga Kristus ma'ala rahanga' Adam to ka'omea-na. Hi'a to mpowai' -ta katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na.
44It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body: if there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual [one].
46Alata'ala uma kaliliu mpobalii' woto-ta bona natao-ta mo'oha' hi suruga. To lomo' -na nawai' -taka, woto-ta to natao mo'oha' hi dunia' toi. Mpeno-damo pai' lako' nawai' -ta woto to natao mo'oha' hi suruga.
45Thus also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit.
47Manusia' to lomo' -na rapajadi' ngkai tana', pai' -i mo'oha' hi wongko dunia' toi. Aga Kristus ma'ala rahanga' Adam karodua-na. Hi'a, ngkai suruga-i-hana.
46But that which is spiritual [was] not first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual:
48Hawe'ea tauna hi dunia', tuwu' hewa Adam, apa' muli-na omea-ta. Aga hawe'ea to mosidai' hante Kristus mporata katuwua' to ngkai suruga, hewa katuwu' -na Kristus.
47the first man out of [the] earth, made of dust; the second man, out of heaven.
49Tempo toi, katuwu' -ta hewa katuwu' -na Adam, apa' woto-ta woto to natao mo'oha' hi dunia' -pidi. Mpeno-damo pai' lako' tuwu' -ta hewa Kristus, pai' nto'u toe mpai' woto-ta natao mo'oha' hi suruga.
48Such as he made of dust, such also those made of dust; and such as the heavenly [one], such also the heavenly [ones].
50Ompi' -ompi', patuju-ku hewa toi: woto-ta hi dunia' toi rapajadi' ngkai ihi pai' raa'; uma-ta mpai' ma'ala mo'oha' hi rala Kamagaua' Alata'ala to hi suruga hante woto-ta to hewa toi. Uma-ta ma'ala mo'oha' hi suruga hante woto-ta to bisa mate toi, apa' uma-hana ria kamatea hi ria.
49And as we have borne the image of the [one] made of dust, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly [one].
51Jadi', bona ni'inca, ku'uli' -kokoi tudui' to ko'ia napopehuwu Alata'ala ngkai owi, aga napopehuwu-mitaka tempo toi. Ane rata nculii' -ipi mpai' Pue' Yesus, ria-ta-pidi to ko'ia mate. Aga hawe'ea-ta bate kana rabalii', lompe' to tuwu' -pidi lompe' to mate-ramo.
50But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruptibility.
52Tohe'e mpai' jadi' ncorobaa, rala-na hampinisi mata, nto'u karatuwui' -na sangkakala to ka'omea-na. Apa' nto'u sangkakala toe ratuwui', tomate rapotuwu' nculii' hante katuwua' to uma ria kahudua-na, pai' kita' to tuwu' -pidi rabalii' wo'o-tamo-tawo.
51Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed,
54Apa' woto-ta to bisa mate pai' jadi' pope tohe'i-e, kana rabalii' jadi' woto to uma ria kamatea-na pai' to uma jadi' pope. Jadi', ane rabalii' mpu'u-damo woto-ta tohe'i-e, lako' ree-di mpai' kadupa' -na lolita to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' owi to mpo'uli': Alata'ala mpodagi kamatea, uma-pi ria kamatea."
52in an instant, in [the] twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and *we* shall be changed.
55Alata'ala mpobahaka-ta mpai' ngkai hawe'ea to mpokeni kamatea, uma-pi mpai' ria kuasa-na kamatea hi kita'.
53For this corruptible must needs put on incorruptibility, and this mortal put on immortality.
56Manusia' kana mate sabana jeko'. Pai' jeko' manusia' kana rahuku' apa' mpotiboki Atura Pue'.
54But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word written: Death has been swallowed up in victory.
57Aga tarima kasi ta'uli' hi Alata'ala, apa' nabahaka-tamo ngkai hawe'ea toe we'i, pai' nawai' -ta pedagia, sabana petauntongoi' -na Yesus Kristus Pue' -ta.
55Where, O death, [is] thy sting? where, O death, thy victory?
58Ngkai toe-mi ompi' -ompi' to kupe'ahi', pakaroho pepangala' -ni, neo' -koi mogego', baka' oa' -koi mpobago bago Pue', apa' ni'inca moto-hawo napa to nipobago-ki Pue' uma-hawo mpai' bayangi', bate ria hiwili-na.
56Now the sting of death [is] sin, and the power of sin the law;
57but thanks to God, who gives us the victory by our Lord Jesus Christ.
58So then, my beloved brethren, be firm, immovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in [the] Lord.
