1Ompi' -ompi', karata-ku wengi hi ngata-ni mpoparata-kokoi kareba to ngkai Alata'ala, uma kupololitai-koi hante lolita to mo'olu ba ntuku' kapantea-ku moto.
1And *I*, when I came to you, brethren, came not in excellency of word, or wisdom, announcing to you the testimony of God.
2Apa' ria-mi rala nono-ku mpo'uli': hangkuja kahae-ku dohe-ni, uma-a mpololita napa-napa to ntani' -na, muntu' mpololita-a Yesus Kahi'a-na Magau' Topetolo' to mate raparika'.
2For I did not judge [it well] to know anything among you save Jesus Christ, and *him* crucified.
3Bula-ku ria dohe-ni, lente-a, pai' moridi' -a me'eka'.
3And *I* was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling;
4Kareba to kuparata-kokoi, uma kuparata hante kapantea-ku moto, uma kuhinai-koi hante lolita-ku. Ngkai baraka' Inoha' Tomoroli' -hanale pai' alaa-na ni'inca-mi kamakono-na kareba to kukeni-e.
4and my word and my preaching, not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of [the] Spirit and of power;
5Jadi', mepangala' -koi hi kareba to kukeni, uma ngkai kapantea manusia'. Mepangala' -koi muntu' ngkai baraka' Alata'ala.
5that your faith might not stand in men's wisdom, but in God's power.
6Nau' hewa toe, ane mololita-kai hi tauna to monoto-mi pepangala' -ra hi Kristus, ria mpu'u kapantea-kai. Aga kapantea-kai toe, bela hewa kapantea tauna to dada'a hi dunia' toi, ba hewa kapantea pangkeni dunia' toi, apa' pangkeni dunia' toi bate moronto mpai'.
6But we speak wisdom among the perfect; but wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who come to nought.
7To kiparata-le, kapantea to ngkai Alata'ala, kiparata patuju-na Alata'ala bona mpowai' -ta kabohea tuwu' hi eo mpeno. Patuju-na toe, ko'ia ra'incai manusia' ngkai owi. Tapi' kako'ia-na dunia' rapajadi', Alata'ala mpakatantu ami' -mi kanawai' -ta mpai' kabohea tuwu' toe.
7But we speak God's wisdom in [a] mystery, that hidden [wisdom] which God had predetermined before the ages for our glory:
8Uma ria haduaa pangkeni dunia' toi to mpo'inca patuju-na Alata'ala toe. Apa' ane ke ra'inca-mi, ke uma-ra mpoparika' Pue' -ta to uma mowo kabohe tuwu' -na.
8which none of the princes of this age knew, (for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;)
9Tapi' hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli': Hi tauna to mpoka'ahi' Alata'ala, naporodo ami' -miraka to lompe' lia, to ko'ia rahiloi ba ra'epe manusia', pai' ko'ia rarata nono manusia'."
9but according as it is written, Things which eye has not seen, and ear not heard, and which have not come into man's heart, which God has prepared for them that love him,
10Kita' toi, ta'inca-mi patuju-na Alata'ala toe-e, apa' Alata'ala mpopo'incai-ta hante baraka' Inoha' Tomoroli'. Apa' uma ria to tewunii' hi Inoha' Tomoroli', napewulihi' butu nyala-na rata-rata hi patuju-na Alata'ala to ko'ia ra'incai manusia'.
10but God has revealed to us by [his] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
11Apa' to mpo'inca ihi' nono tauna, hi'a moto-wadi. Wae wo'o, to mpo'inca ihi' nono Alata'ala, Inoha' Alata'ala-wadi.
11For who of men hath known the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? thus also the things of God knows no one except the Spirit of God.
12Pai' kita', uma-ta mporata noto to ngkai dunia' toi. Mporata-ta Noto to ngkai Alata'ala, bona ta'inca hawe'ea to nawai' -taka Alata'ala ngkai kabula rala-na.
12But *we* have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which [is] of God, that we may know the things which have been freely given to us of God:
13Jadi', ane mpoparata-kai Kareba Lompe', kiparata uma hante kapantea-kai mololita. Kiparata hante lolita to ngkai Inoha' Tomoroli', kipakanoto tudui' ngkai Inoha' Tomoroli' hi tauna to mporata-mi Inoha' Tomoroli'.
13which also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, communicating spiritual [things] by spiritual [means].
14Tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala, uma-ra mpopangala' tudui' to ngkai Inoha' Alata'ala. Ra'uli': "Lolita tauna to wojo-hawo to hewa tetu." Uma ami' raratai nono tudui' to ngkai Inoha' Alata'ala, apa' tudui' to hewa toe ma'ala mesua' hi rala nono-ta ane Inoha' Tomoroli' mponotohi-ta.
14But [the] natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him; and he cannot know [them] because they are spiritually discerned;
15Kita' to mporata-mi Inoha' Tomoroli', monoto-mi nono-ta mpetonoi butu nyala-na kalompe' -na ba ka'uma-na. Tapi' tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala, uma monoto nono-ra mpetonoi napa to hi rala nono-ta.
15but the spiritual discerns all things, and *he* is discerned of no one.
16Apa' wae-mi to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli': Uma hema to mpo'inca pekiri-na Pue', uma hema to ma'ala mpotudui' -i."
16For who has known the mind of [the] Lord, who shall instruct him? But *we* have the mind of Christ.
