Darby's Translation

1 Corinthians

3

1Ompi' -ompi', bula-ku dohe-ni wengi, uma-koi kupololitai hewa mpololitai tauna to mporata-mi Inoha' Tomoroli'. Kupololitai-koi hewa tauna to mpotuku' konoa nono-ra to dada'a-pidi. Apa' nto'u toe, ko'ia monoto pepangala' -ni hi Kristus, hewa ana'lei-pidi-koi hi rala pepangala' -ni.
1And *I*, brethren, have not been able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly; as to babes in Christ.
2Ane ana'lei to ntii' -pidi, uma lompe' rawai' koni' to mokara. Wae wo'o koi', owi kutudui' -koi tudui' to natao hi tauna to ko'ia monoto pepangala' -ra, ko'ia kutudui' -koi tudui' to natao hi tauna to monoto-mi pepangala' -ra, apa' ko'ia nikulei' mpotarima. Hiaa' duu' tempo toi-e, ko'ia oa' -di nikulei' mpotarima-e,
2I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able;
3apa' mpotuku' konoa nono-ni to dada'a oa' -pidi-koi. Apa' ane ria hingi' rala nono-ni pai' momehono' -koi, ha bela tohe'e-mi to mpakanoto kampotuku' -ni konoa nono-ni to dada'a, hewa tauna to ko'ia mpo'incai Pue'?
3for ye are yet carnal. For whereas [there are] among you emulation and strife, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?
4Hadua mpo'uli': "Aku' tono' hi Paulus-a." To hadua mpo'uli': "Aku' tono' hi Apolos." Ha uma tohe'e-mi kehi tauna to ko'ia mpo'incai Pue'?
4For when one says, *I* am of Paul, and another, *I* of Apollos, are ye not men?
5Ane aku' pai' Apolos-le, pahawaa' Alata'ala-wadi-ka-kaiwo, to mpotete' -koi bona mepangala' hi Pue' Yesus. Kai' hore-hore mpobago bago to napopokoloi-kakai Pue'.
5Who then is Apollos, and who Paul? Ministering servants, through whom ye have believed, and as the Lord has given to each.
6Aku' to mpohawu', Apolos to mpobowohi, Alata'ala to mpopotuwu'.
6*I* have planted; Apollos watered; but God has given the increase.
7To mpohawu' pai' to mpobowohi, bela hira' poko-na. To poko-nale, Alata'ala-hana, apa' Hi'a to mpopotuwu'.
7So that neither the planter is anything, nor the waterer; but God the giver of the increase.
8To mpohawu' pai' to mpobowohi, hibalia-ra-wadi. Butu dua-ra mporata gaji' -ra ntuku' -ki katomo bago-ra.
8But the planter and the waterer are one; but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9Kai' -le hampobagoa lau-wadi-kai ngkamu bago Alata'ala, pai' koi' ompi' ma'ala rarapai' -ki bonea Alata'ala. Koi' ma'ala rarapai' -ki tomi Alata'ala.
9For we are God's fellow-workmen; ye are God's husbandry, God's building.
10Ngkai kabula rala-na Alata'ala, na'ongko' -a jadi' suro-na, pai' aku' -mi to lomo' -na mpokeni Kareba Lompe' hi koi'. Ma'ala-mi ta'uli', aku' hewa topobabehi tomi to pante, aku' -mi to lomo' -na mpohu'a parawatu, pai' to ntani' -na mpokaliliu mpowangu hi lolo parawatu to kuhu'a-mi toe. Aga butu dua tauna kana mpelompehi pobago-na mpokamu bago Pue', hewa hadua topobabehi tomi kana mpelompehi beiwa-i mpowangu tomi.
10According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.
11Apa' uma ria ohea ntani' -na jadi' ntodea Alata'ala, muntu' mepangala' hi Yesus Kristus. Ma'ala-mi ta'uli', Yesus Kristus Hi'a-mi parawatu to nahu'a Alata'ala, uma ria ntani' -na.
11For other foundation can no man lay besides that which [is] laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12Ane ria topobago Pue' to lompe' pongkamu-ra bago Pue', hira' ma'ala rarapai' -ki topobabehi tomi to mpowangu tomi hante wori' nyala rewa to lompe', rapa' -na bulawa, salaka' pai' watu to masuli' oli-na. Ane ria to uma lompe' pongkamu-ra bago Pue', hira' hewa topobabehi tomi to mpowangu tomi mpake' to uma ncako lompe', hewa kaju, kowo' pai' deami.
12Now if any one build upon [this] foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw,
13Jadi', ane rapa' -na mampu tomi toe, incana moto mpai' rewa to lompe' pai' rewa to uma lompe', apa' rewa to lompe' ntaha moto, tapi' rewa to uma lompe' mampu omea. Wae wo'o, pobago butu dua topobago Pue' incana mpai' hi karata-na nculii' Pue'. Hi eo toe mpai', Pue' mpoparesa' pobago butu dua tauna, kalompe' -na ba ka'uma-na.
13the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare [it], because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is.
14Ane pobago tau hadua ntaha hi pomparesa' -na Pue', mporata-i mpai' parasee.
14If the work of any one which he has built upon [the foundation] shall abide, he shall receive a reward.
15Ane pobago-na uma ntaha pomparesa' -na Pue', bate rugi-i mpai'. Batua-na, tebahaka moto-i ngkai huku' jeko' -na, aga uma-i mporata parasee ngkai pobago-na. Hi'a ma'ala rarapai' -ki tauna to mampu tomi-na: hawe'ea rewa-na moronto, woto-na mara-damo to uma nakoni' apu.
15If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but *he* shall be saved, but so as through [the] fire.
16Ha uma ni'incai ompi': koi' -le hewa tomi to napo'ohai' Alata'ala. Inoha' Alata'ala mo'oha' hi laintongo' -ni.
16Do ye not know that ye are [the] temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17Ane hema to mpogero kahintuwuaa' ntodea-na Alata'ala, Alata'ala wo'o mpai' mpohuku' -i. Apa' po'ohaa' Alata'ala, moroli' -hana. Hiaa' koi' -mi ompi', tomi po'ohaa' Alata'ala-e.
17If any one corrupt the temple of God, *him* shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are *ye*.
18Neo' -koi mpobagiu woto-ni moto. Ane ria hi laintongo' -ni to mpo'uli' pante moto-ra hi poncilo manusia', agina jadi' wojo-ra hi poncilo manusia' bona jadi' pante mpu'u-ra hi poncilo Pue'.
18Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise.
19Apa' napa to ra'uli' manusia' kapantea, kawojoa lau-wadi hi poncilo Alata'ala. Te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' owi hewa toi: Nau' hewa apa-mi kapante-ra manusia' pai' po'akala-ra, bate nadagi oa' -ra Pue' Ala."
19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness.
20Ria wo'o te'uki': Pue' Ala mpo'inca pekiri tauna to pante, ka'uma-na ria tuju-na."
20And again, [The] Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.
21Jadi', toe pai' kuperapi' ompi': neo' -pi ria to mpoperaha petuku' -ra hi manusia'. Apa' hawe'ea to niparaluu, nawai' -mikokoi Alata'ala nipobagia:
21So that let no one boast in men; for all things are yours.
22Apolos, Petrus, aku', nawai' -mikokoi omea Alata'ala bona mpotulungi-koi. Nawai' -mokoi katuwua' to bo'u, nabahaka-koi ngkai kamatea. Hawe'ea to hi dunia' tohe'i, hawe'ea to jadi' tempo toi, hawe'ea to jadi' hi eo mpeno-na, bate na'atoro' bona mpowai' -koi kalompea'. Hawe'ea toe bate bagia-ni ompi'.
22Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or [the] world, or life, or death, or things present, or things coming, all are yours;
23Pai' koi' bagia-na Kristus, pai' Kristus bagia-na Alata'ala.
23and *ye* [are] Christ's, and Christ [is] God's.
