Uma: New Testament

Darby's Translation

2 Corinthians

12

1Uma mpu'u-di ria kalaua-na mpo'une' woto-ta moto-e. Aga nau' wae, ku'une' oa' woto-ku moto toi-e. Kututura-kokoi ulu pangila to napopohiloi-ka Pue'.
1Well, it is not of profit to me to boast, for I will come to visions and revelations of [the] Lord.
2Ku'inca hadua to Kristen, hampulu' opo' mpae to liu ra'ore' -i hilou hi po'ohaa' Alata'ala to hi suruga. Uma ku'incai ba woto-na mpu'u-di to ra'ore' -e, ba kao' -na-wadi. Alata'ala-wadi to mpo'inca.
2I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago, (whether in [the] body I know not, or out of the body I know not, God knows;) such [a one] caught up to [the] third heaven.
4To monoa' ku'inca, tauna toei ra'ore' hilou hi po'ohaa' to uma mowo kalompe' -na, to rahanga' Firdaus. (Hangkani-pi ku'uli', uma ku'incai ba ra'ore' mpu'u-idi, ba pangila-na-wadi, Alata'ala-wadi to mpo'inca.) Bula-na hi ria, mpo'epe-i lolita to lompe' lia, to ko'ia na'epei tilinga manusia', pai' gati uma rapiliu manusia' mpohowa'.
3And I know such a man, (whether in [the] body or out of the body I know not, God knows;)
5Kakoo-kono-na, natao moto ku'une' tauna to mpohilo pangila to hewa toe. Aga uma-a dota mpo'une' woto-ku moto. Sampale to ku'une' -ki woto-ku moto, hawe'ea kalentea-ku.
4that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable things said which it is not allowed to man to utter.
6Kakoo-kono-na, ane doko' ku'une' woto-ku, uma-a boa', apa' ria mpu'u to natao ku'une' -ki woto-kue. Aga kupengkatarii, uma-pi kututura pangila-ku, bona neo' mpai' ria to mpo'une' -a kampo'epe-ra tutura-ku toi. Ane ria to doko' mpo'une' -a, agina ranaa hi gau' -ku pai' ra'epe lolita-ku.
5Of such [a one] I will boast, but of myself I will not boast, unless in my weaknesses.
7Jadi', apa' uma mowo kalompe' -na hawe'ea pangila-kue, Alata'ala mpowai' -a hanyala kaparia, bona neo' mpai' molangko rahi nono-ku. Kaparia toe hewa rui to mpotohu' -a ncuu, pai' hewa suro ngkai Magau' Anudaa' to ntora mposori-a.
6For if I shall desire to boast, I shall not be a fool; for I will say [the] truth; but I forbear, lest any one should think as to me above what he sees me [to be], or whatever he may hear of me.
8Tolu ngkani-a mekakae hi Pue', ku'uli': "O Pue', kuperapi' bona nulali-ka-kuwo kaparia toi."
7And that I might not be exalted by the exceeding greatness of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn for the flesh, a messenger of Satan that he might buffet me, that I might not be exalted.
9Tapi' na'uli' -ka: "Uma kulali, aga kutulungi-ko hante kabula rala-ku. Hono' -mi toe. Apa' ane lente-ko, karohoa-ku gana kamonoto-na hi rala katuwu' -nu." Toe-mi ompi' -ompi' pai' bohe nono-ku mpololita hawe'ea kalentea-ku, apa' nto'u-ku lente, karohoa Kristus mpokamoui-a.
8For this I thrice besought the Lord that it might depart from me.
10Jadi', ane lente-a, kupokagoe' moto. Goe' -a ane ba raruge' -a ba rabalinai' -a, ba mporata-a kasusaa' pai' kaparia sabana petuku' -ku hi Kristus. Apa' ane lente-a, nto'u toe-mi moroho-a.
9And he said to me, My grace suffices thee; for [my] power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather boast in my weaknesses, that the power of the Christ may dwell upon me.
11Pololita-ku we'i, hewa towojo mpu'u-a apa' ku'une' -kuna woto-ku moto, aga koi' -le ompi' pai' alaa-na hewa toe-ae. Kakoo-kono-na, ke koi' -dile ompi' to mpo'une' -ae. Apa' nau' uma-a-kuwo hewa hema, aga bate suro Pue' Yesus mpu'u-a, uma-a tepatu'ai ngkai suro to hi retu-ra tilou to mpomobohe hanga' -ra moto.
10Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in necessities, in persecutions, in straits, for Christ: for when I am weak, then I am powerful.
12Bula-ku dohe-ni, kubabehi tanda-tanda to mpakanoto kasuro-na Pue' Yesus mpu'u-a. Mosabara-a mobago hi rala kasusaa', mpobabehi-a tanda mekoncehi pai' anu mobaraka' hante karohoa to ngkai Pue' Ala.
11I have become a fool; *ye* have compelled me; for *I* ought to have been commended by you; for I have been nothing behind those who were in surpassing degree apostles, if also I am nothing.
13Ha ni'uli' -koina uma hono' petulungia-ku hi koi' -e ompi'! Petulungia-ku hi koi' -le, bate hibalia hante petulungia-ku hi tauna to hi ngata ntani' -na. Ane hi ngata doo, merapi' -a gaji' -ku, tapi' koi' ompi' uma kupomperapii' -koi gaji' -ku. Ha ni'uli' -koina kuposala' toe ompi'? Uma-hanae'!
12The signs indeed of the apostle were wrought among you in all endurance, signs, and wonders, and works of power.
14Pe'epei lompe'! Moliwo-a tohe'i-e mpencuai' -koi katolu ngkani-na. Pai' uma-a mpai' mperapii' -koi ba napa-napa. To kupali', bela rewa-ni, nono-ni to kupali', bona nipoka'ahi' -a. Apa' bela-hawo ana' to mpali' pongkoni' totu'a-ra; totu'a to mpali' pongkoni' ana' -ra.
13For in what is it that ye have been inferior to the other assemblies, unless that I myself have not been in laziness a charge upon you? Forgive me this injury.
15Jadi', goe' -a mpopake' hawe'ea to ria hi aku' mpotulungi-koi. Sadia-a mpewai' woto-ku moto mpotulungi-koi. Ane hewa toe kabohe ahi' -ku hi koi' ompi', napa pai' hangkedi' rahi ahi' -ni hi aku'?
14Behold, this third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be in laziness a charge; for I do not seek yours, but you; for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
16Ni'inca moto ompi' ka'uma-ku ria mpo'alai' -koi ba napa-napa. Aga ria oa' to mpotuntui' -a, ra'uli' topo'akala-a. Ra'uli' mporata-a rasi' ngkai koi' hante pebagiu-ku.
15Now *I* shall most gladly spend and be utterly spent for your souls, if even in abundantly loving you I should be less loved.
17Uma-e' makono! Tauna to kupahawa' tilou, ha ria-ra to mpo'akalai-koi, alaa-na aku' to mporata rasi'? Uma ria.
16But be it so. *I* did not burden you, but being crafty I took you by guile.
18Kuperapi' wengi bona Titus tilou mpehupai' -koi, pai' ria wo'o-pi hadua ompi' kupahawa' mpodohei-i. Ha ria-i Titus mpo'akalai-koi nto'u toe-e? Ni'inca moto ompi', Titus pai' aku' hanono lau-kai, pai' hibalia wo'o pokehii-kai.
17Did I make gain of you by any of those whom I have sent to you?
19Neo' ni'uli' hewa toi, hawe'ea to ki'uki' tohe'i, ki'uki' bona mpo'uli' noa' -kai. Ompi' -ompi' to kipoka'ahi'! Mololita-kai tohe'i-e, hi posidaia' -kai hante Kristus. Alata'ala mpotiroi-ta! Hawe'ea to ki'uli', hawe'ea to kibabehi, ki'uli' pai' kibabehi bona mporohoi pepangala' -ni.
18I begged Titus, and sent the brother with [him]: did Titus at all make gain of you? have we not walked in the same spirit? [have we] not in the same steps?
20Apa' koro' -a, nee-neo' mpai' nto'u katilou-ku mpencuai' -koi, kurata-koi uma hewa to kupokono. Pai' wae wo'o koi', uma-a hewa to nipokono. Nee-neo' mpai' kurata-koi nto'u-ni momehono' pai' momepohingii', momepokaroe pai' hore mpopeliu woto-ni moto, momeruge', mometuntui', pai' hore molangko nono. Nee-neo' kurata-koi uma hintuwu' ompi'.
19Ye have long been supposing that we excuse ourselves to you: we speak before God in Christ; and all things, beloved, for your building up.
21Koro' -a nee-neo' mpai' ane rata wo'o-apa hi retu, kehi-ni tohe'e mpaka'ea' -a hi nyanyoa Pue' -ku, Pue' Alata'ala, alaa-ku geo' mpokageoi' wori' tauna to mojeko', apa' ko'ia oa' -ra medea ngkai gau' -ra to sala', pobualo' -ra pai' kehi-ra to uma tumotoa.
20For I fear lest perhaps coming I find you not such as I wish, and that *I* be found by you such as ye do not wish: lest [there might be] strifes, jealousies, angers, contentions, evil speakings, whisperings, puffings up, disturbances;
21lest my God should humble me as to you when I come again, and that I shall grieve over many of those who have sinned before, and have not repented as to the uncleanness and fornication and licentiousness which they have practised.
