1Bona nu'inca, hi eo-eo to tumai, susa' katuwu' -ta hi dunia' toi, apa' dada'a lia gau' manusia'.
1But this know, that in [the] last days difficult times shall be there;
2Apa' wori' mpai' tauna to mpoka'ahi' woto-ra moto-wadi, doko' jadi' topo'ua', mpope'une', molangko nono, pai' mporuge' doo-ra. Uma-ra mengkoru hi totu'a-ra, uma ra'incai motarima kasi, uma-ra mposaile' Alata'ala,
2for men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, evil speakers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, profane,
3uma-ra ma'ahi', pai' uma-ra dota hintuwu'. Ntora mpotuntui' doo-ra-wadi, uma-ra mpokuasai kahinaa woto-ra moto, seke-ra, pai' -ra mpokahuku' to lompe'.
3without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, of unsubdued passions, savage, having no love for what is good,
4Mpopanawu' doo-ra, mekahia' -ra pai' rika' pekiri-ra, mpopeliu kapantea-ra. Uma-ra mpotuku' konoa Alata'ala, mpotuku' kagoea' -ra-wadi.
4traitors, headlong, of vain pretensions, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
5Ane gau' to rahilo doo, mpotuku' moto-ra ada agama hewa tauna to mengkoru hi Alata'ala. Tapi' kuasa Alata'ala to ma'ala mpobalii' nono-ra, rasapuaka lau-wadi-rana. Neo' nuposigalo-raka tauna to hewa toe gau' -ra.
5having a form of piety but denying the power of it: and from these turn away.
6Ria-ra hantongo' to mpokeni tudui' -ra to uma makono hi tomi doo, pai' -ra mpobagiu tobine to lente pepangala' -ra bona tobine toera mpopangala' tudui' -ra. Tobine toera, wori' lia jeko' -ra, pai' wori' nyala kahinaa nono-ra to mpokuasai-ra.
6For of these are they who are getting into houses, and leading captive silly women, laden with sins, led by various lusts,
7Doko' mpo'epe tudui' ncuu-ra, aga uma oa' monoto nono-ra mpo'inca tudui' to makono.
7always learning, and never able to come to [the] knowledge of [the] truth.
8Guru to boa' toera, bengku' pekiri-ra pai' boa' pepangala' -ra, alaa-na Alata'ala mpotulaka-ra. Mpo'ewa-ra tudui' to makono, hewa Yanes pai' Yambres mpo'ewa nabi Musa owi.
8Now in the same manner in which Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, thus these also withstand the truth; men corrupted in mind, found worthless as regards the faith.
9Yanes pai' Yambres toera, topobago-na Firaun to mpo'ewa nabi Musa hante pake' -ra. Aga uma-ra hompe mpo'ewa baraka' Pue' Ala to ria hi nabi Musa. Wae wo'o mpai' to jadi' hi guru to boa' tempo toi. Uma-ra mpai' hompe mpo'ewa tudui' to makono, apa' kawojoa-ra bate incana mpai' hi hawe'ea tauna.
9But they shall not advance farther; for their folly shall be completely manifest to all, as that of those also became.
10Aga iko Timotius, apa' mahae-moko mpo'ema' -a, nu'inca lia-mi tudui' -ku pai' kehi-ku pai' patuju tuwu' -ku. Nuhilo moto-mi pepangala' -ku, kamosabara-ku pai' ahi' -ku, pai' kantaha-ku hi rala kasusaa'.
10But *thou* hast been thoroughly acquainted with my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, endurance,
11Nuhilo moto kakupengkatarii-na pebalinai' pai' kasusaa' to mporumpa' -a hi ngata Antiokhia, hi Ikonium pai' hi Listra. Uma mowo pebalinai' toe! Aga Pue' mpobahaka-a ngkai hawe'ea toe lau.
11persecutions, sufferings: what [sufferings] happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured; and the Lord delivered me out of all.
12Bate toe-midi! Hawe'ea tauna to mpotuku' Kristus Yesus pai' to doko' mengkoru hi Alata'ala bate rabalinai'.
12And all indeed who desire to live piously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
13Tapi' tauna to dada'a pai' topebagiu, tampai lau-mi kadada'a kehi-ra. Mpobagiu-ra doo hante tudui' -ra to boa', ntaa' hante hira' wo'o-midi-rawo to tebagiu-e.
13But wicked men and juggling impostors shall advance in evil, leading and being led astray.
14Aga iko Timotius, kana tida-ko ngkakamu tudui' to oti-mi ratudui' -koko pai' to nupangala' mpu'u-mi. Nu'inca kamakono-na tudui' toe, apa' nu'inca kahema-ra to mpotudui' -ko.
14But *thou*, abide in those things which thou hast learned, and [of which] thou hast been fully persuaded, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them];
15Ngkai kakedia' -nu nu'inca-mi ihi' Buku Tomoroli'. Buku Tomoroli' toe to ma'ala mponotohi nono-ta duu' -na mepangala' -ta hi Kristus Yesus pai' -ta tehore ngkai huku' jeko' -ta.
15and that from a child thou hast known the sacred letters, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which [is] in Christ Jesus.
16Hawe'ea to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli', ra'uki' hante noto ngkai Alata'ala, pai' ria kalaua-na hi kita'. Hante Buku Tomoroli' kita' ma'ala mpoparata tudui' to makono, mpo'ewa tudui' to sala', mpokolompehii kehi to dada'a, pai' mpotudui' tauna bona monoa' po'ingku-ra.
16Every scripture [is] divinely inspired, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
17Hante Buku Tomoroli', kita' to jadi' topobago Alata'ala rarewai hono', apa' Buku Tomoroli' toe tahenta mpobago butu nyala pobago to lompe'.
17that the man of God may be complete, fully fitted to every good work.
