Acts

26

1Oti toe, na'uli' Agripa hi Paulus: "Rapalogai-moko-kowo mololita, mpo'uli' noa' -nu." Paulus mpo'ongko' pale-na, pai' -i mpo'uli' noa' -na. Lolita-na hewa tohe'i:
1And Agrippa said to Paul, It is permitted thee to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretching out his hand answered in his defence:
2"Magau' Agripa to kubila'! Lomo' -lomo' -na ku'uli', morasi' lia-a, ma'ala-a-kuwo mpo'uli' noa' -ku hi Magau', mpotompoi' hawe'ea pangadua' to Yahudi hi aku'.
2I count myself happy, king Agrippa, in having to answer to-day before thee concerning all of which I am accused by the Jews,
3Hangkedia' -nami apa' Magau' mpo'inca lia ada pai' tudui' to rapomehonoi' to Yahudi. Toe pai' merapi' -a-kuwo bona mosabara-ko mpe'epei-ka-kuwo noa' -ku.
3especially because thou art acquainted with all the customs and questions which are among the Jews; wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
4"Hawe'ea to Yahudi mpo'inca omea dala ngkatuwu' -ku ngkai lomo' -na. Ngkai kakedia' -ku mo'oha' -a dohe ompi' -ku hi Yerusalem.
4My manner of life then from my youth, which from its commencement was passed among my nation in Jerusalem, know all the Jews,
5Mahae moto-mile ra'inca gau' -kue. Ane dota-ra, hira' moto ma'ala mpotutura dala ngkatuwu' -ku ngkai lomo' -na, ka'aku' -na tohe'i mpotuku' tudui' to Parisi, to mantata' mpu'u petuku' -ra hi hawe'ea ada agama Yahudi.
5who knew me before from the outset [of my life], if they would bear witness, that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
8Jadi', hewa toe lau, mokore-a hi rehe'i bona raparesa', apa' kusarumaka Alata'ala mpopadupa' janci-na hi ntu'a-ta owi to mpo'uli': hawe'ea tomate napotuwu' nculii' hi eo mpeno. Kita' muli Israel to hampulu' rontina, hawe'ea-ta mpopea kadupa' -na pojanci toe, toe pai' mepue' ncuu-ta hi Alata'ala, lompe' hi eo-na lompe' hi bengi-na. Magau' to kubila', ngkai pepangala' -ku hi pojanci Alata'ala toe-die, pai' alaa-na rapakilu-a to Yahudi toi-e. Pai' koi' ompi' -ompi' -ku to Yahudi! Napa-di pai' uma nipangalai' kabaraka' -na Alata'ala mpotuwu' nculii' tomate-e?
6And now I stand to be judged because of the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers,
9"Owi wo'o-kuwo-le, wori' nyala akala-ku mpo'ewa tauna to mpotuku' Yesus to Nazaret toei.
7to which our whole twelve tribes serving incessantly day and night hope to arrive; about which hope, O king, I am accused of [the] Jews.
10Hiaa' ku'ewa mpu'u-ra hi Yerusalem. Hante sura kuasa ngkai imam pangkeni, wori' tauna to mepangala' hi Yesus kutarungku'. Kupokono wo'o-kuwo ane rahuku' mate-ra.
8Why should it be judged a thing incredible in your sight if God raises the dead?
11Wori' ngkani-a mpobalinai' -ra hi rala tomi posampayaa, pai' kupewuku-ra mposapuaka pepangala' -ra hi Yesus. Dede' -damo nono-ku, alaa-na hilou-ama hi ngata-ngata to molaa mpobalinai' -ra.
9*I* indeed myself thought that I ought to do much against the name of Jesus the Nazaraean.
13"O Magau' to kubila', hante patuju toe-mi, pai' hilou-a hi ngata Damsyik, rapowiti' pai' rawai' kuasa ngkai imam pangkeni. Hi pomako' -ku hilou hi Damsyik toe, hi lengko ohea-a-pidi, kira-kira tebua' -mi eo, muu-mule' kuhilo baja to mehini ngkai langi' mpohinii-a hante doo-doo-ku. Baja toe meliu kabaja-na ngkai hini eo.
10Which also I did in Jerusalem, and myself shut up in prisons many of the saints, having received the authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death I gave my vote.
14Kamodungka-kai omea-mi. Pai' ria ku'epe to mpololitai-a hi rala basa Yahudi, na'uli' -ka: `Saulus! Saulus! Napa pai' nubalinai' -a? Aga iko moto-kowo mpai' to peda' ane nujojo mpo'ewa pekio' Pue' -nu!'
11And often punishing them in all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And, being exceedingly furious against them, I persecuted them even to cities out [of our own land].
15"Ku'uli' -ki: `Ha hema-ko Pue'?' "Natompoi' -a: `Aku' -mile Yesus, to nubalinai' -e!
12And when, [engaged] in this, I was journeying to Damascus, with authority and power from the chief priests,
16Aga wae lau, mokore-moko! Mehupa' -ama hi iko hewa toe lau, apa' ria patuju-ku hi iko: kupelihi-moko jadi' topobago-ku pai' sabi' -ku. Iko kana mpoparata hi tau ntani' -na napa to nuhilo-mi eo toe lau, pai' napa to kupopohiloi-koko hi eo-eo to tumai mpai'.
13at mid-day, on the way, I saw, O king, a light above the brightness of the sun, shining from heaven round about me and those who were journeying with me.
17Kubahaka moto-ko mpai' ngkai kuasa-ra to Yahudi pai' ngkai kuasa-ra to bela-ra to Yahudi. Kusuro-moko hilou mpokeni Lolita-ku hi tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi.
14And, when we were all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [it is] hard for thee to kick against goads.
18Kusuro-ko hilou mpobini' mata-ra, pai' mpotete' -ra ngkai kabengia-na tumai hi kabajaa-ku; bona tebahaka-ra ngkai kuasa Magau' Anudaa' pai' nakuasai-ramo Alata'ala; bona te'ampugi jeko' -ra pai' jadi' -ramo bagia Alata'ala sabana pepangala' -ra hi Aku'.'
15And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, *I* am Jesus whom *thou* persecutest:
19"O Magau' Agripa to kubila', toe-mi pai' kuhuduwukui oa' mpotuku' napa to na'uli' -ka Pue' hi rala pangila-ku toe-e.
16but rise up and stand on thy feet; for, for this purpose have I appeared to thee, to appoint thee to be a servant and a witness both of what thou hast seen, and of what I shall appear to thee in,
20Kuparata hi hawe'ea tauna kareba to mpo'uli': kana medea-ta ngkai jeko' -ta pai' mpotonu katuwu' -ta hi Alata'ala, pai' kana tapopohiloi hante gau' -ta kamedea-ta mpu'u-mi ngkai jeko' -ta. Lomo' -na kareba toe kuparata hi ngata Damsyik, oti toe hi Yerusalem pai' hobo' hi tana' Yudea. Pai' hilou wo'o-a hi tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi mpokeni kareba toe.
17taking thee out from among the people, and the nations, to whom *I* send thee,
21Toe-mi pai' alaa-na rahoko' to Yahudi-a hi Tomi Alata'ala, doko' rapatehi.
18to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.
22Aga nau' wae, Alata'ala mpotulungi-a ngkai lomo' -na duu' rata hi eo toe lau. Toe pai' mokore-a hi rehe'i mpo'uli' posabi' -ku hi tauna omea, lompe' maradika lompe' ntodea. Napa to ku'uli' tohe'i, uma ria ntani' -na, bate hibalia hante napa to nalowa ami' -mi nabi Musa pai' nabi-nabi ntani' -na owi,
19Whereupon, king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision;
23to mpo'uli': Magau' Topetolo' kana mporata kaparia duu' -na rapatehi, pai' Hi'a-mi to lomo' -na tuwu' nculii' ngkai kamatea. Bona Hi'a-mi to mpokeni kabajaa-na hi hawe'ea tauna, ba to Yahudi-ra ba bela-ra to Yahudi."
20but have, first to those both in Damascus and Jerusalem, and to all the region of Judaea, and to the nations, announced that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.
24Bula-na Paulus mololita-pidi mpo'uli' noa' -na, mejeu' -mi Festus na'uli': "Wuli-ko Paulus! Kapantea-nu to wori' tetu mpokeni-ko wuli."
21On account of these things the Jews, having seized me in the temple, attempted to lay hands on and destroy me.
25Na'uli' Paulus: "Uma-a-kuwo wuli, O Gubernur to kubila'. Monoto moto nono-ku, pai' makono lolita-ku.
22Having therefore met with [the] help which is from God, I have stood firm unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying nothing else than those things which both the prophets and Moses have said should happen,
26Ane Magau' Agripa, na'inca wo'o-hawo hawe'ea to ku'uli' we'i. Toe pai' daho' -a-kuwo mololita hante kalonto' -lonto' -na. Apa' ku'uli' uma ria to ko'ia na'incai Magau', apa' hawe'ea to jadi' tohe'e uma jadi' hi kawunia-na.
23[namely,] whether Christ should suffer; whether he first, through resurrection of [the] dead, should announce light both to the people and to the nations.
27Magau' Agripa to kubila'! Nupangala' wa lolita nabi owi-e? Kusarumaka bate nupangala'!"
24And as he answered for his defence with these things, Festus says with a loud voice, Thou art mad, Paul; much learning turns thee to madness.
28Na'uli' Magau' Agripa mpo'uli' -ki Paulus: "Ha nu'uli' -kona mojoli mpobawai-a jadi' to Kristen hangkale'liu-e?"
25But Paul said, I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but utter words of truth and soberness;
29Na'uli' Paulus: "Hi tempo to hangkale'liu ba tempo to mahae, mekakae-a hi Alata'ala bona Magau' hante hawe'ea to mpo'epe lolita-ku eo toe lau jadi' hewa aku' toi. Sampale-wadi pohoo' tohe'i-e, neo' mporata-koi."
26for the king is informed about these things, to whom also I speak with all freedom. For I am persuaded that of these things nothing is hidden from him; for this was not done in a corner.
30Kahudu-na Paulus mololita, mokore-ramo magau' pai' gubernur pai' Bernike hante doo-ra, pai' -ra malai-mi ngkai tomi porumpua.
27King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
31Karata-ra hi mali-na, momepololitai-ramo ra'uli': "Tau tohe'ei ria, uma-hawo ria sala' -na to natao rapatehi-ki ba ratarungku' -ki."
28And Agrippa [said] to Paul, In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian.
32Na'uli' Magau' Agripa mpo'uli' -ki Festus: "Kakono-na, ane ke uma-i mpopebua' kara-kara-na hi Kaisar, ma'ala tabahaka lau-imi."
29And Paul [said], I would to God, both in little and in much, that not only thou, but all who have heard me this day, should become such as *I* also am, except these bonds.
30And the king stood up, and the governor and Bernice, and those who sat with them,
31and having gone apart, they spoke to one another saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
32And Agrippa said to Festus, This man might have been let go if he had not appealed to Caesar.
