1Jadi', kupekune': ha natadi mpu'u-ramo Alata'ala to Israel to napobagia ngkai owi-e? Uma-hawo. Apa' aku' toi, to Israel wo'o-a-kuwo. Aku' muli Abraham ngkai posantinaa Benyamin.
1I say then, Has God cast away his people? Far be the thought. For *I* also am an Israelite, of [the] seed of Abraham, of [the] tribe of Benjamin.
2Alata'ala uma mpotadi tauna to napelihi ami' -mi ngkai lomo' -na. Kiwoi-dile tutura nabi Elia to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' -e. Elia mpopakilu to Israel hi Alata'ala, na'uli':
2God has not cast away his people whom he foreknew. Know ye not what the scripture says in [the history of] Elias, how he pleads with God against Israel?
3"Pue', rapatehi-ramo nabi-nu, pai' rakero wo'o-mi watu pontunua pepue' -kai hi Iko. Muntu' hadua-ku-damo to tuwu', aga rapali' wo'o-ama doko' rapatehi!"
3Lord, they have killed thy prophets, they have dug down thine altars; and *I* have been left alone, and they seek my life.
4Na'uli' -ki Alata'ala hewa toi: "Neo' nu'uli' hadudua-nu-damo to mpotuku' -a. Ria-ra-pidile to kupetoro-e, pitu ncobu-rapa. Hira' toe bate bagia-ku, uma-ra mepue' hi pinotau to rahanga' Baal."
4But what says the divine answer to him? I have left to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed knee to Baal.
5Hewa to jadi' hi tempo nabi Elia owi, wae wo'o to jadi' tempo toi: kaworia' to Yahudi uma mepangala' hi Yesus, tapi' ria moto-ra hantongo' to mepangala', apa' hira' toe to napelihi ami' -mi Alata'ala jadi' bagia-na. Napelihi-ra toe muntu' ngkai kabula rala-na moto-hawo,
5Thus, then, in the present time also there has been a remnant according to election of grace.
6bela ngkai po'ingku-ra. Apa' ane rapa' -na napelihi-ra sabana pohiwili-na ngkai po'ingku-ra to lompe', batua-na kabula rala Alata'ala bela kabula rala mpu'u.
6But if by grace, no longer of works: since [otherwise] grace is no more grace.
7Jadi', lolita powoe-na hewa toi: to Israel doko' mpotuku' ohea-ra moto bona ngalai' jadi' monoa' -ra hi poncilo Alata'ala, aga uma raratai napa to rapali' toe. Ria moto-ra to mporata, aga hangkedi' -wadi, paka' to napelihi ami' -ramo Alata'ala. To ntani' -ntani' -na mengkabatu hi pekio' Pue',
7What [is it] then? What Israel seeks for, that he has not obtained; but the election has obtained, and the rest have been blinded,
8hewa to te'uki' owi hi rala Buku Tomoroli': Alata'ala mpowai' -ra nono to moko'o. Napokapiri mata-ra bona neo' rahiloi ohea to makono. Na'unca tilinga-ra bona neo' ra'epei kareba to makono, duu' hewa toe lau."
8according as it is written, God has given to them a spirit of slumber, eyes not to see, and ears not to hear, unto this day.
9Wae wo'o-hawo lolita Magau' Daud owi to mpo'uli': O Pue', kuperapi' bona hawe'ea rasi' to hi tauna toera mpopanawu' -ra lau-mi, duu' -na mporata silaka pai' huku' -ra, bona tepehawai kehi-ra to dada'a.
9And David says, Let their table be for a snare, and for a gin, and for a fall-trap, and for a recompense to them:
10Pakabengi pekiri-ra, bona neo' ra'incai ohea to makono. Pakasusa' -ra, bona bungku' -ra mpokolo kasusaa' -ra toe."
10let their eyes be darkened not to see, and bow down their back alway.
11Jadi', kaworia' to Yahudi tewinci' apa' uma-ra mepangala'. Aga neo' ta'uli' hewa toi: tewinci' -ra toe, alaa-na monawu' lau-ramo duu' kahae-hae-na. Bela-hawo toe patuju Alata'ala. Ngkai petiboki to Yahudi toe, tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi rapalogai mepangala' hi Pue' Yesus duu' -na tehore-ra ngkai huku' jeko' -ra. Ka'omea-na mpai', mehina-ramo to Yahudi doko' mpotuku' tonco tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi.
11I say then, Have they stumbled in order that they might fall? Far be the thought: but by their fall [there is] salvation to the nations to provoke them to jealousy.
12Kaworia' to Yahudi mesapuaka pai' uma-ra napobagia Alata'ala. Pai' ngkai ree wori' tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi hi humalili' dunia' mporata rasi' bohe ngkai Alata'ala. Jadi', peliu-liu-nami mpai' kamarasi' -na ihi' dunia' ane to Yahudi medea pai' nculii' hi Alata'ala!
12But if their fall [be the] world's wealth, and their loss [the] wealth of [the] nations, how much rather their fulness?
13Lolita-ku tohe'i kutoa' hi koi' ompi' -ompi' -ku to bela-koi to Yahudi. Aku' toi suro Pue' Yesus, to nasuro mpokeni Kareba Lompe' hi koi' to bela-koi to Yahudi. Bago-ku toi kutu'u oa' hi tanuana' -ku.
13For I speak to you, the nations, inasmuch as *I* am apostle of nations, I glorify my ministry;
14Ngkai bago-ku toi, meka' ria mpai' hingka to Yahudi-ku to mehina mpohilo tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi mepangala' hi Pue' Yesus, alaa-na mepangala' wo'o-ramo-rawo hi Pue' Yesus, pai' tehore-ra ngkai huku' jeko' -ra.
14if by any means I shall provoke to jealousy [them which are] my flesh, and shall save some from among them.
15Apa' nto'u-na Alata'ala mpotadi to Yahudi, tebea-mi ohea hi hawe'ea tauna hi dunia' bona posidaia' -ra hante Alata'ala jadi' lompe'. Jadi', meliu kamarasi' -na ihi' dunia' ane Alata'ala mpotarima nculii' -ramo to Yahudi toera. Kajadia' toe mpai' hewa tomate to tuwu' nculii'.
15For if their casting away [be the] world's reconciliation, what [their] reception but life from among [the] dead?
17Ane ulumua' hinu'a-ta tatonu hi Alata'ala, batua-na hawe'ea hinu'a-ta Alata'ala-mi pue' -na. Ane rali' -na Alata'ala pue' -na, ra'a-na Alata'ala wo'o-wadi pue' -na. To Yahudi ma'ala rarapai' -ki hangkaju kaju zaitun to rapiara. Rali' -na mpobatuai ntu'a to Yahudi to napobagia Alata'ala owi. Ra'a-na mpobatuai muli-ra. Ra'a-na hantongo' nahepi' Alata'ala, pai' hi pohepia' -na toe napopentaka' ra'a ngkai kaju zaitun to uma rapiara, bona ra'a toe tuwu' pai' mporata rudu' ngkai rali' kaju to rapiara. Rali' to napopentaka' toe-e, koi' -mi to bela-koi to Yahudi.
16Now if the first-fruit [be] holy, the lump also; and if the root [be] holy, the branches also.
18Aga neo' molangko nono-ni ompi'. Neo' niruge' -ra to Yahudi to ratadi toera. Kiwoi-e': koi' hewa ra'a wo'o-wadi, koi' mporata rasi' ngkai rali' kaju to rapiara, bela kaju to mporata rasi' ngkai koi'!
17Now if some of the branches have been broken out, and *thou*, being a wild olive tree, hast been grafted in amongst them, and hast become a fellow-partaker of the root and of the fatness of the olive tree,
19Pai' neo' wo'o ni'uli' hewa toi hi rala nono-ni: "Kai' -kaina to napokono Alata'ala, apa' to Yahudi to hantongo' toera natadi bona kai' -mi mposampei-ra."
18boast not against the branches; but if thou boast, [it is] not *thou* bearest the root, but the root thee.
20Makono moto-di ompi'. Tapi' kiwoi-e': hira' ratadi apa' uma-ra mepangala'. Koi' rapotuwu' apa' mepangala' -koi. Neo' molangko nono-ni, mengkoru lau-mokoi hi Alata'ala!
19Thou wilt say then, The branches have been broken out in order that *I* might be grafted in.
21Apa' ane Alata'ala mpotadi to Yahudi, to hewa ra'a to ria ami' -mi hi woto kaju, neo' ni'uli' wae, uma mpai' lau nono-na mpotadi-koi ane mesapuaka-koi.
20Right: they have been broken out through unbelief, and *thou* standest through faith. Be not high-minded, but fear:
22Hi ree tahilo kama'ahi' -na Alata'ala pai' tahilo wo'o kamonoa' -na mehuku'. Monoa' -i mpohuku' tauna to mesapuaka. Ma'ahi' -i hi koi' ompi', asala tida-koi hi ahi' -na toe. Ane uma, natadi wo'o-ko-koiwo mpai'!
21if God indeed has not spared the natural branches; lest it might be he spare not thee either.
23Ane to Yahudi to mesapuaka toera, ane medea-ra ngkai pesapuakaa-ra, bate natarima nculii' moto-ra Alata'ala. Ria kuasa-na mpotarima-ra nculii'.
22Behold then [the] goodness and severity of God: upon them who have fallen, severity; upon thee goodness of God, if thou shalt abide in goodness, since [otherwise] *thou* also wilt be cut away.
24Apa' koi' rarapai' -ki ra'a ngkai kaju to uma rapiara, aga nau' wae rapopentaka' -mokoi hi woto kaju to rapiara. Jadi', ane ra'a ngkai kaju to uma rapiara ma'ala rapopentaka' hi woto kaju to rapiara, peliu-liu-nami mpai' ra'a ngkai kaju to rapiara bisa rapopentaka' nculii' hi karahepia' -na ami'.
23And *they* too, if they abide not in unbelief, shall be grafted in; for God is able again to graft them in.
25Ompi' -ompi' hampepangalaa' -ku! Doko' ku'uli' -kokoi napa patuju Alata'ala to uma ra'incai manusia' ngkai owi. Ku'uli' -kokoi toi bona neo' mpai' molangko nono-ni. Bona ni'inca: to Israel hantongo' motu'a nono-ra tempo toi. Aga kamotu'a nono-ra toe hampai' -wadi, duu' -na hono' -mi kadea-ra tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi mepangala' hi Yesus.
24For if *thou* hast been cut out of the olive tree wild by nature, and, contrary to nature, hast been grafted into the good olive tree, how much rather shall they, who are according to nature be grafted into their own olive tree?
26Ngkai ree mpai', hawe'ea to Israel tehore ngkai huku' jeko' -ra. Kajadia' toe, hintotoa hante lolita to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' owi. Na'uli' Alata'ala: Rata mpai' tempo-na, Topetolo' mehuwu ngkai Bulu' Sion, pai' napori hawe'ea kadada'aa ngkai muli Yakub.
25For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, of this mystery, that ye may not be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the nations be come in;
27Toi-mi janci-ku hi hira': Hi tempo toe mpai', ku'ampungi jeko' -ra."
26and so all Israel shall be saved. According as it is written, The deliverer shall come out of Zion; he shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
28Tempo toi to Yahudi jadi' bali' Alata'ala, apa' oja' -ra mpopangala' Kareba Lompe'. Ngkai ree, marasi' lau-koi to bela to Yahudi. Aga nau' wae, to Yahudi toera, bate napoka'ahi' oa' -ra Alata'ala, apa' napelihi-ramo ngkai owi pai' nakiwoi oa' pojanci-na hi ntu'a-ra.
27And this is the covenant from me to them, when I shall have taken away their sins.
29Apa' ane Alata'ala mpopelihi pai' mpogane' tauna, uma nadii' nculii' gane' -na toe.
28As regards the glad tidings, [they are] enemies on your account; but as regards election, beloved on account of the fathers.
30Owi uma-koi mengkoru hi Alata'ala. Tapi' tempo toi nirata-mi ahi' Alata'ala, apa' ngkai pesapuaka-ra to Yahudi.
29For the gifts and the calling of God [are] not subject to repentance.
31Wae wo'o-ra to Yahudi. Tempo toi mesapuaka-ra, bona ahi' Alata'ala rata hi koi'. Aga hira' wo'o-rawo mpai' mporata ahi' Alata'ala, hibalia hewa koi'.
30For as indeed *ye* [also] once have not believed in God, but now have been objects of mercy through the unbelief of *these*;
32Alata'ala mpelele' hawe'ea tauna mesapuaka, bona ma'ala-i mpopehuwu ahi' -na hi hawe'ea tauna.
31so these also have now not believed in your mercy, in order that *they* also may be objects of mercy.
32For God hath shut up together all in unbelief, in order that he might shew mercy to all.
34"Hema to mpo'inca pekiri Alata'ala! Hema to ma'ala mpotudui' -i!"
33O depth of riches both of [the] wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable his judgments, and untraceable his ways!
35"Hema to mpowai' -i ba napa-napa, alaa-na ma'ala-ra merapi' hiwili-na!"
34For who has known [the] mind of [the] Lord, or who has been his counsellor?
36Apa' hawe'ea to ria, napajadi' Alata'ala, nakuasai Alata'ala pai' napobagia Alata'ala. Une' -imi duu' kahae-hae-na! Amin!
35or who has first given to him, and it shall be rendered to him?
36For of him, and through him, and for him [are] all things: to him be glory for ever. Amen.
