Darby's Translation

Romans

2

2Ta'inca moto-mi ompi', ane Alata'ala mpohuku' tauna to mogau' dada'a hewa toe, pobotuhi-na bate makono. Aga uma ria huraa-ta mposalai' doo-ta, apa' ane tasalai' doo-ta, hibalia woto-ta moto-mi to tasalai' -e, bo hewa toe wo'o-wadi-hawo gau' -tae. Jadi', uma mpu'u ria ohea-ta mpe'arai' sala' -ta.
1Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, every one who judgest, for in that in which thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
3Ane tababehi moto gau' to tasalai' -ki doo-ta, neo' ta'uli' ka'uma-na mpai' nahuku' -ta Alata'ala-e.
2But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who do such things.
4Lompe' nono-na Alata'ala, mosabara-i pai' moloe ahi' -na.
3And thinkest thou this, O man, who judgest those that do such things, and practisest them [thyself], that *thou* shalt escape the judgment of God?
5Jadi', ompi' -ompi', ane motu'a nono-ta, ane uma tabalii' gau' -ta, motomo mpai' huku' -ta hi Eo Kiama. Nto'u Eo Kiama toe mpai', Alata'ala mpobotuhi omea hante kanoaa' -na, pai' nahuku' hawe'ea tauna to dada'a.
4or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?
6Nahiwili po'ingku butu dua tauna.
5but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up to thyself wrath, in [the] day of wrath and revelation of [the] righteous judgment of God,
7Ria tauna to tida mogau' lompe', apa' doko' mporata-ra pe'une', pebila' pai' katuwua' to uma ria ka'otia-na ngkai Alata'ala. Hi tauna to hewa toe Alata'ala mpowai' katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na.
6who shall render to each according to his works:
8Aga ria wo'o tauna to mpenonoi woto-ra moto-wadi. Oja' -ra mpotuku' konoa Alata'ala, mpotuku' konoa to dada'a lau-rada. Hira' toe-mi to poko mporata roe pai' pehuku' Alata'ala-e.
7to them who, in patient continuance of good works, seek for glory and honour and incorruptibility, life eternal.
9Butu dua tauna to mpobabehi to dada'a, bate ntodohaka pai' mporata kasusaa' -ra, ntepu'u ngkai to Yahudi, rata-rata wo'o hi tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi.
8But to those that are contentious, and are disobedient to the truth, but obey unrighteousness, [there shall be] wrath and indignation,
10Aga tauna to mpobabehi to lompe' mporata pe'une', pebila' hante kalompea' tuwu', lomo' -na hi to Yahudi, rata-rata wo'o hi to bela-ra to Yahudi.
9tribulation and distress, on every soul of man that works evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek;
11Apa' Alata'ala uma mpelence tauna.
10but glory and honour and peace to every one that works good, both to Jew first and to Greek:
12Tauna to uma mpo'incai Atura Pue', ane mpobabehi jeko' -ra, bate masala' -ra pai' masipato' ragaa' ngkai Alata'ala. Alata'ala mpohuku' -ra sabana jeko' -ra, aga uma nahuku' -ra sabana petiboki-ra hi Atura Pue'. Wae wo'o tauna to mpo'inca Atura Pue'. Ane mpobabehi jeko' -ra, Alata'ala mpohuku' wo'o-ra-rawo, aga hira' toe nahuku' sabana petiboki-ra hi Atura Pue'.
11for there is no acceptance of persons with God.
13Bela tauna to mpo'epe Atura Pue' to jadi' monoa' hi poncilo-na. Tauna to mpotuku' Atura Pue', hira' -di to monoa' hi poncilo-na.
12For as many as have sinned without law shall perish also without law; and as many as have sinned under law shall be judged by law,
13(for not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
15Ngkai po'ingku-ra toe, monoto-mi ta'inca karia-na parenta ngkai Atura Pue' te'uki' hi rala nono-ra. Ngkai pekiri-ra wo'o ta'inca karia-na atura hi rala nono-ra, apa' ra'uli' hi rala nono-ra: "Sala' kehi toe," ba ra'uli' "Lompe' kehi toe."
14For when [those of the] nations, which have no law, practise by nature the things of the law, these, having no law, are a law to themselves;
16Jadi', bate hewa toe-mi mpai' to jadi' hi Eo Kiama. Nto'u toe mpai', Alata'ala mpowai' kuasa hi Yesus Kristus bona mpohurai pai' mpobotuhi hawe'ea ihi' nono manusia' to tewunii'. Toe-mi ihi' Kareba Lompe' to kukeni-e.
15who shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts accusing or else excusing themselves between themselves;)
17Jadi', kakaliliua-na ompi', beiwa-mi ane kita' to Yahudi-e? Ha ria-ta to molangko nono-ta apa' ta'uli' ria posidaia' -ta hante Alata'ala? Ha ria-ta to mpo'uli' kanatarima-ta mpai' Alata'ala sabana petuku' -ta hi Atura Pue' to naparata Musa?
16in [the] day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my glad tidings, by Jesus Christ.
18Kita' to Yahudi, ta'inca konoa Pue' pai' ta'inca mpoposisala napa to lompe' pai' napa to dada'a, apa' tarata tudui' ngkai Atura Pue'.
17But if *thou* art named a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast in God,
20Ta'uli', kita' to pante mpotete' tauna to uma mpo'incai Alata'ala, kita' to ma'ala mponotohi-ra to hi rala kabengia-na-pidi pai' to ko'ia mpo'incai tudui' to makono. Apa' hi kita' to Yahudi kariaa-na poko pe'inca pai' tudui' to makono to te'uki' hi rala Atura Pue'.
18and knowest the will, and discerningly approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
21Jadi', kita' mpotudui' tau ntani' -na. Hiaa' napa-di pai' uma tatudui' woto-ta moto-e! Tatudui' doo bona neo' manako. Hiaa' beiwa-mi ane manako moto-tae!
19and hast confidence that thou thyself art a leader of the blind, a light of those who [are] in darkness,
22Ta'uli' -ki doo neo' mobualo', beiwa ane mobualo' moto-ta! Ta'uli' uma-ta mepue' hi pinotau. Ane bongko wae-di, napa pai' ria moto-ta to mponongko' rewa ngkai rala tomi pontu'ua pinotau toe-e!
20an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of truth in the law:
23Bohe rahi nono-ta ompi', apa' ria-tana Atura Pue' to naparata-taka Musa owi. Hiaa' napa-mi kalaua-na ane taruge' lau-imi Alata'ala hi ka'uma-na tatuku' hawa' -na!
21thou then that teachest another, dost thou not teach thyself? thou that preachest not to steal, dost thou steal?
24Ria te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' owi to mpo'uli' hewa toi: "Ngkai kada'a kehi-ni koi' to Yahudi, alaa-na tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi mporuge' hanga' Alata'ala lau-ramo."
22thou that sayest [man should] not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
25Kita' to Yahudi mpo'uli' ria kalaua-na ada petini' -ta ntuku' Atura Pue'. Pai' ria mpu'u kalaua-na karatini' -ta toe, asala tatuku' mpu'u wa Atura Pue'. Aga ane tatiboki Atura Pue', uma ntoto ria kalaua-ta ratini'.
23thou who boastest in law, dost thou by transgression of the law dishonour God?
26Ane tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi, uma-ra ratini' ntuku' Atura Pue'. Aga ane monoa' po'ingku-ra hewa po'ingku to ratuntu' hi rala Atura Pue', bate natarima moto-ra mpai' Alata'ala hibalia hante tauna to tetini' ntuku' Atura Pue'.
24For the name of God is blasphemed on your account among the nations, according as it is written.
27Ane hewa toe, ka'omea-na mpai' po'ingku-ra tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi toe mpopohiloi kamasala' -ta kita' to Yahudi. Apa' kita', ria-taka Atura Pue' to te'uki', pai' ratini' wo'o-ta ntuku' Atura Pue' toe, hiaa' tatiboki lau-mi hawa' Pue'. Hira', uma-ra ratini', aga hira' lau-di to mpotuku' hawa' Pue'.
25For circumcision indeed profits if thou keep [the] law; but if thou be a law-transgressor, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.
28To Yahudi to jadi' ntodea Alata'ala mpu'u, bela tauna to jadi' to Yahudi ngkai kaputu-ra, bela wo'o to ratini' wotoloka' -ra-wadi.
26If therefore the uncircumcision keep the requirements of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision,
29To Yahudi to jadi' ntodea Alata'ala mpu'u-le, tauna to jadi' to Yahudi hi rala nono-ra, pai' to ratini' hi rala nono-ra. Batua-na, pobago Inoha' Tomoroli' hi rala nono-ra mpopajadi' -ra ntodea Alata'ala, uma-ra jadi' ntodea Alata'ala hi kampotuku' -ra atura-atura to te'uki'. Tauna to hewa toe-mi to na'une' Alata'ala. Nau' manusia' uma mpo'une' -ra, aga Alata'ala bate mpo'une' -ra.
27and uncircumcision by nature, fulfilling the law, judge thee, who, with letter and circumcision, [art] a law-transgressor?
28For he is not a Jew who [is] one outwardly, neither that circumcision which is outward in flesh;
29but he [is] a Jew [who is so] inwardly; and circumcision, of the heart, in spirit, not in letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but of God.
