Uma: New Testament

Darby's Translation

Romans

3

1To Yahudi pai' to bela to Yahudi hibalia-wadi, masala' omea-ramo hi poncilo Alata'ala. Aga neo' ta'uli' hewa toi, uma melabi kamarasi' -ra to Yahudi ngkai tau ntani' -na, pai' uma ria kalaua-na ada petini' -ra.
1What then [is] the superiority of the Jew? or what the profit of circumcision?
2Ria moto rasi' -ra, pai' wori' moto kalaua-na! Lomo' -na, apa' Alata'ala mpowai' Lolita-na hi to Yahudi owi.
2Much every way: and first, indeed, that to them were entrusted the oracles of God.
3To Yahudi to hantongo' uma tida mepangala' hi Alata'ala. Aga nau' wae, Alata'ala bate tida mpo'ihii' tipa' -na.
3For what? if some have not believed, shall their unbelief make the faith of God of none effect?
4Nau' hawe'ea manusia' moboa', bate makono lolita Alata'ala. Hewa to na'uli' Magau' Daud owi: O Pue', bate makono mpu'u lolita-nu. Nau' ba hema-hema to mposalai' -ko, bate kana rapangaku' kamonoa' -nu."
4Far be the thought: but let God be true, and every man false; according as it is written, So that thou shouldest be justified in thy words, and shouldest overcome when thou art in judgment.
5Jadi', ngkai po'ingku manusia' to uma monoa', lonto' -mi kamonoa' -na Alata'ala. Aga neo' ta'uli' hewa toi: "Ane wae-di, ane Alata'ala mpohuku' manusia' to dada'a, uma-i monoa'." Ria mpu'u manusia' to mpo'uli' hewa toe,
5But if our unrighteousness commend God's righteousness, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? I speak according to man.
6tapi' pekiri-ra toe bate uma makono. Apa' ane ke uma-i monoa' Alata'ala, ke uma-i ma'ala mpohurai kara-kara hawe'ea manusia' hi Eo Kiama.
6Far be the thought: since how shall God judge the world?
7Jadi', meka' ba ria to mpo'uli' hewa toi: "Ane bongko ngkai po'ingku-ta to bengku' pai' alaa-na lonto' lau-mi kamonoa' -na Alata'ala pai' -i ra'une' -e, ha napa pai' nahuku' -ta sabana jeko' -tae?"
7For if the truth of God, in my lie, has more abounded to his glory, why yet am *I* also judged as a sinner?
8Ane hewa toe-di, ma'ala lau-mi ta'uli' hewa toi: "Agina tababehi lau po'ingku to dada'a bona mehuwu to lompe'." Ria-midi tauna to mpobalihi-a, ra'uli' ria-a mololita hewa toe. Tauna to hewa toe, masipato' lia-ra nahuku' Alata'ala.
8and not, according as we are injuriously charged, and according as some affirm that we say, Let us practise evil things, that good ones may come? whose judgment is just.
9Jadi' lolita powoe-na hewa toi: kita' to Yahudi uma meliu kalompe' -ta ngkai tau ntani' -na. Apa' hewa to ku'uli' we'i, hawe'ea manusia' bate masala' apa' topojeko' omea-ta, lompe' to Yahudi lompe' tau ntani' -na.
9What then? are we better? No, in no wise: for we have before charged both Jews and Greeks with being all under sin:
10Hewa to te'uki' hi rala Buku Tomoroli' owi: Uma ria tauna to monoa', nau' haduaa uma ria.
10according as it is written, There is not a righteous [man], not even one;
11Uma ria to monoto nono-ra, Uma ria to mpopali' Alata'ala.
11there is not the [man] that understands, there is not one that seeks after God.
12Hawe'ea tauna mengkawulaa-mi ngkai Alata'ala, Uma-pi mokalaua tuwu' -ra. Uma hema to lompe' gau' -ra, nau' haduaa uma ria."
12All have gone out of the way, they have together become unprofitable; there is not one that practises goodness, there is not so much as one:
13"Babo' pai' me'eai' lolita-ra, Lolita mpebagiu mehupa' hi wiwi-ra." Lolita-ra mpopedahi nono doo hewa petilo' dalimoo'."
13their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; asps' poison [is] under their lips:
14"Lolita-ra paka' peruge' pai' petipo' -damo."
14whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness;
15"Ngasa' oa' -ra doko' mpopatehi doo.
15swift their feet to shed blood;
16Hiapa-apa kahiloua-ra, mpokeni-ra kada'aa pai' kaparia-wadi.
16ruin and misery [are] in their ways,
17Oja' -ra mpopali' kahintuwuaa'."
17and way of peace they have not known:
18"Uma ntoto ra'incai mengkoru hi Alata'ala."
18there is no fear of God before their eyes.
19Ngkai lolita Atura Pue' toe, ta'inca ka'uma-na ria manusia' to monoa'. Pai' monoto-mi ta'inca, hawe'ea to te'uki' hi Buku Atura Pue', bate mpobelahi to Yahudi to rapowaii' Atura Pue' toe. Jadi', uma ria tauna to ma'ala mpo'uli': "Aku', monoa' -a-kuna!" Hawe'ea manusia' bate masala' hi poncilo Alata'ala.
19Now we know that whatever the things the law says, it speaks to those under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be under judgment to God.
20Uma ria haduaa to monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala ngkai kampotuku' -ra Atura Pue'. Apa' ngkai Atura Pue' toe-di, ta'inca lau-mi kamojeko' -ta.
20Wherefore by works of law no flesh shall be justified before him; for by law [is] knowledge of sin.
21But now without law righteousness of God is manifested, borne witness to by the law and the prophets;
22Alata'ala mpomonoa' -ta hi poncilo-na ane mepangala' -ta hi Yesus Kristus. Toe nababehi hi hawe'ea tauna to mepangala', uma napelence kato'apa-ra.
22righteousness of God by faith of Jesus Christ towards all, and upon all those who believe: for there is no difference;
23Apa' mojeko' omea-tamo, pai' uma-ta natao mporata bagia hi rala kabohe tuwu' -na Alata'ala.
23for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24Aga nabahaka-tamo ngkai huku' jeko' -ta toe, pai' na'uli' kamonoa' -ta hi poncilo-na sabana petolo' Kristus Yesus. Hawe'ea toe, pewai' mara Alata'ala hi kita' ngkai kabula rala-na.
24being justified freely by his grace through the redemption which [is] in Christ Jesus;
25Ntuku' hawa' Alata'ala, Yesus rapatehi pai' raa' -na rabowo. Alata'ala mpobabehi hewa toe, bona Yesus rahuku' mpohompo' jeko' manusia', bona na'ampungi jeko' -ta ane mepangala' -ta hi Yesus. Kako'ia-na Yesus mate, Alata'ala uma mpohuku' jeko' manusia'. Napelele' ulu jeko' manusia', apa' ngkai posabara-na. Aga ane uma oa' -i mpohuku' jeko', uma-i monoa'. Jadi', hante kamate-na Yesus, Alata'ala mpopohiloi mpu'u-mi kamonoa' -na.
25whom God has set forth a mercy-seat, through faith in his blood, for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness, in respect of the passing by the sins that had taken place before, through the forbearance of God;
26Hante kamate-na Yesus toe, incana-mi kamonoa' -na Alata'ala mpohuku' jeko', pai' ma'ala moto-i mpo'uli' kamonoa' -ra tauna topojeko' to mepangala' hi Yesus.
26for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness in the present time, so that he should be just, and justify him that is of [the] faith of Jesus.
27Jadi', uma-pi ria ohea-ta mpomolangko nono-ta. Apa' Alata'ala uma mpotarima-ta ngkai po'ingku-ta to lompe'. Natarima-tale, ngkai pepangala' -ta hi Pue' Yesus.
27Where then [is] boasting? It has been excluded. By what law? of works? Nay, but by law of faith;
28Apa' toi-mi poko lolita-ku: kita' jadi' monoa' hi poncilo Alata'ala ngkai pepangala' -ta, bela ngkai po'ingku-ta to lompe' mpotuku' Atura Pue'.
28for we reckon that a man is justified by faith, without works of law.
29Apa' uma muntu' to Yahudi to napoka'ahi' Alata'ala. Napoka'ahi' wo'o tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi.
29Is [God] the God of Jews only? is he not of [the] nations also? Yea, of nations also:
30Apa' hadua-na-wadi Alata'ala, pai' Hi'a to mpomonoa' to Yahudi ngkai pepangala' -ra, pai' Hi'a wo'o to mpomonoa' tauna to bela-ra to Yahudi, ngkai pepangala' -ra wo'o-wadi.
30since indeed [it is] one God who shall justify [the] circumcision on the principle of faith, and uncircumcision by faith.
31Jadi', Alata'ala mpo'uli' kamonoa' -ta hi poncilo-na ngkai pepangala' -ta-wadi. Aga neo' ta'uli' hewa toi: tatadi-mi Atura Pue'. Neo'! Ngkai pepangala' -ta toe, tapomobohe-mi Atura Pue'.
31Do we then make void law by faith? Far be the thought: [no,] but we establish law.
