Luke

11

1Hangkani Yesus mosampaya. Kahudu-na mosampaya, hadua ana'guru-na mpo'uli' -ki: "Pue', tudui' wo'o-ka-kaiwo mosampaya, hewa Yohanes Topeniu' mpotudui' ana'guru-na."
1It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.”
2Na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Ane mosampaya-koi, uli' hewa tohe'i: Mama, pomperapia' -kai bona hawe'ea tauna mpobila' hanga' -nu to moroli', bona Iko jadi' Magau' hi dunia'.
2He said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
3Wai' -kai pongkoni' to kiparaluu eo-eo-na.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4Ampungi jeko' -kai, apa' kai' wo'o mpo'ampungi hawe'ea tauna to masala' hi kai'. Pai' neo' -kai nupelele' rasori."
4 Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”
5Na'uli' wo'o-mi Yesus mpo'uli' -raka ana'guru-na: "Rapa' -na hilou-ta hi doo-ta mentongo' bengi pai' ta'uli' -ki: `Bale, wai' -a-kuwo pongkoni' tolu mputu'.
5He said to them, “Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6Apa' ria bale-ku to lako' rata, hiaa' uma-kuna ria napa-napa to kuwai' -ki.'
6 for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’
7"Ha natompoi' -ta mpai' hewa tohe'i: `Neo' -a nusaleroi. Wobo' tehohoki-mi. Ana' -ku leta' omea-ramo dohe-ku. Uma-a bisa memata mpowai' -ko ba napa-napa.'
7 and he from within will answer and say, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’?
8Uma mpai' hewa toe tompoi' -na. Nau' bale-ta uma dota memata pai' mpowai' -ta napa-napa, aga apa' uma tabahakai pai' uma-ta me'ea' mperapii' -i, memata oa' -i mpowai' -ta napa to taparaluu.
8 I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.
9"Jadi' ku'uli' -kokoi: Perapi' -mi hi Alata'ala, nawai' moto-ta mpai'. Pali' kaparaluua-ta hi Alata'ala, tarata moto mpai'. Neo' tabahakai mpopebea wobo', Alata'ala mpobea moto-taka mpai' wobo' -na.
9 “I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.
10Apa' hema to merapi' bate rawai'. Hema to mpali' bate mporata. Hema to mpopebea wobo', bate rabea-ki wobo'.
10 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
11Ha ria-koi to mpowai' ule hi ana' -ni ane merapi' -i bau'?
11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
12Ba mpowai' -i pehede' ane merapi' -i ntolumanu'? Tantu uma.
12 Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he?
13Nau' hewa apa-mi kadada'a-nie, ni'inca moto mpowai' to lompe' hi ana' -ni. Peliu-liu-nami Tuama-ni to ria hi rala suruga! Bate nawai' Inoha' Tomoroli' hi tauna to merapi' hi Hi'a."
13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
14Rala-na ha'eo, Yesus mpopalai seta ngkai hadua tauna to uma howa' mololita. Wae kanawuso-na seta toe, howa' -imi tauna toei mololita. Konce-ramo ntodea.
14He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. It happened, when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the multitudes marveled.
15Aga ria wo'o-ra to mpo'uli': "Kuasa-na tetu-le ngkai Beelzebul, magau' hawe'ea seta. Toe-hawo pai' ria baraka' -na mpopalai seta-e."
15But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”
16Ria wo'o-ra hantongo' to doko' mposori Yesus. Merapi' -ra hi Yesus bona napopohiloi-ra anu mekoncehi bona monoa' ra'inca kangkai Alata'ala-na mpu'u-i.
16Others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.
17Ntaa' na'inca-di Yesus napa to hi rala nono-rae. Toe pai' na'uli' -raka: "Ane rapa' -na ria hadua magau', pai' ntodea hi rala kamagaua' -na ntora mome'ewa, bate mogero mpai' kamagaua' -na toe. Wae wo'o tau hantomi to ntora motuda', bate pagaa' -gaa' -ra mpai'.
17But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.
18Wae wo'o hi kamagaua' -na seta. Ane seta mpo'ewa hingka seta-na, bate mogero mpai' kamagaua' -na seta. Hiaa' ni'uli' -koina, mpopalai-a seta hante baraka' Beelzebul, magau' seta.
18 If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.
19Aga ria wo'o doo-ni moto to mpopalai seta. Hante kuasa napa doo-ni tetu mpopalai seta? Tantu hante kuasa Alata'ala. Jadi', ngkai pobabehi doo-ni moto, monoto-mi kamasala' pebalihi-ni tetu.
19 But if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore will they be your judges.
20Tapi' Aku', mpopalai-a seta hante baraka' Alata'ala. Ngkai toe, monoa' -mi ni'inca karata-nami tempo-na Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi laintongo' -ni.
20 But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come to you.
21"Seta ma'ala rarapai' -ki tauna to parimuku. Ane tauna to parimuku mpodongo tomi-na hante rewa panga'e-na, uma moapa ihi' tomi-na.
21 “When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.
22Aga ane tumai hadua to meliu karoho-na mpo'ewa-i pai' mpodagi-i, nahagoi-i hawe'ea rewa panga'e-na to nasarumaka pai' nabagi-bagi ihi' tomi-na hi doo-doo-na. Jadi', ane Aku' mpopalai seta, batua-na meliu kuasa-ku ngkai seta.
22 But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.
23"Hema to uma tono' hi Aku', kakono-na bali' -ku-imi. Hema to uma mpotulungi-a mobago, hi'a to mpobalinai' bago-ku.
23 “He that is not with me is against me. He who doesn’t gather with me scatters.
24 The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through dry places, seeking rest, and finding none, he says, ‘I will turn back to my house from which I came out.’
25Ponculi' -na hilou hi tauna to napalahii-e wengi, nahilo-hawo uma ria to mpo'ohai' -i. Tauna toei hewa tomi to molela' tepehaii, hinapa' hiloa-na.
25 When he returns, he finds it swept and put in order.
26Toe pai' hilou ncala' -i mpokio' pitu hingka anudaa' -na to meliu kadada'a-ra ngkai hi'a. Tumai-ramo mesua' hi tauna to napalahii toe-e wengi, pai' mo'oha' -ramo hi ree. Ka'omea-na tampai kampe'ahii' tauna toei ngkai lomo' -na."
26 Then he goes, and takes seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first.”
27Bula-na Yesus mololita, hadua tobine hi laintongo' ntodea mpo'uli' mpesukui: "Morasi' mpu'u-i-hana tobine to mpo'ote pai' to mpentii' -ko!"
27It came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice, and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts which nursed you!”
28Na'uli' Yesus: "Aga to morasi' mpu'u-le, tauna to mpo'epe pai' mpotuku' Lolita Alata'ala."
28But he said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.”
29Nto'u tauna to wori' mpotipuhi Yesus, napokaliliu lolita-na, na'uli': "Dada'a lia tauna to tuwu' tempo toi. Merapi' -ra bona kupopohiloi-ra tanda mekoncehi. Aga uma hanyalaa tanda mekoncehi to rapopohiloi-raka. Sampale to rapopohiloi-raka mpai', tanda hewa to jadi' hi nabi Yunus owi.
29When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say, “This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah, the prophet.
30Hewa Yunus jadi' tanda to rapokakonce pue' ngata Niniwe owi, wae wo'o Aku' Ana' Manusia' jadi' tanda to rapokakonce tauna to tuwu' tempo toi.
30 For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will also the Son of Man be to this generation.
31Hi Eo Kiama mpai', raja bine ngkai Selatan rapotuwu' nculii' hangkaa-ngkania hante koi' to tuwu' tempo toi, pai' -i mpotudo' sala' -ni. Apa' momako' -i tumai ngkai ngata to molaa lia, doko' mpu'u-i mpo'epe lolita Magau' Salomo to pante lia. Hiaa' ria-mi hi laintongo' -ni to meliu kabohe tuwu' -na ngkai Salomo, aga uma oa' nipangalai' lolita-na.
31 The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and will condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, one greater than Solomon is here.
32Wae wo'o hi Eo Kiama mpai', pue' ngata Niniwe rapotuwu' nculii' hangkaa-ngkania hante koi' to tuwu' tempo toi, pai' -ra mpotudo' sala' -ni. Apa' hira', medea-ramo-rana ngkai jeko' -ra kampo'epe-ra pololita nabi Yunus. Hiaa' ria-mi hi laintongo' -ni to meliu kabohe tuwu' -na ngkai Yunus, aga uma oa' nipangalai' lolita-na.
32 The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, one greater than Jonah is here.
33"Uma ria tauna mposuwe palita pai' nawuni ba napopoi' hante kura. Palita bate ratu'u hi pontu'ua-na bona hini-na rahilo tauna to mesua'.
33 “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.
34Mata-ta ma'ala rarapai' -ki hulu'. Ane lompe' mata-ta, monoto pehilo-ta. Aga ane mogawu mata-ta, hewa mobengi pehilo-ta.
34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness.
35Wae wo'o-hawo hante nono-ta. Kana tapelompehi mpu'u: ane Pue' mpobajahi nono-ta, neo' tapomobengi nculii'.
35 Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness.
36Ane Pue' mpobajahi nono-ta duu' -na uma-pi ria kabengia-na, mobaja mpu'u katuwu' -ta omea, hewa tomi to nabajahi palita."
36 If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining gives you light.”
37Hudu-mi Yesus mololita, ria hadua to Parisi mpokio' -i lou ngkoni' hi tomi-na. Hilou mpu'u-imi ngkoni'.
37Now as he spoke, a certain Pharisee asked him to dine with him. He went in, and sat at the table.
38Konce to Parisi toei mpohilo Yesus ngkoni', apa' uma-i leba' mowano ntuku' ada agama-ra.
38When the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed himself before dinner.
39Toe pai' Pue' Yesus mpo'uli' -ki: "Koi' to Parisi-le hewa tauna to mpobohoi' sangkiri' pai' piri hi mali-na-wadi, hiaa' hi rala-na babo' moto. Ada agama to kahiloa hi mali-na nituku' lia, hiaa' hi rala nono-ni, dada'a-koi pai' mpokahina anu doo-koi.
39The Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness.
40Wojo mpu'u-koi! Ha woto-ta-wadi to napajadi' Pue'? Ha uma napajadi' wo'o nono-ta?
40 You foolish ones, didn’t he who made the outside make the inside also?
41Napa to hi rala sangkiri' pai' piri-ni wai' -raka to mpe'ahii' tuwu' -ra. Ane hewa toe-mi po'ingku-ni, hawe'ea jadi' moroli' hi koi'.
41 But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.
42"Silaka-koi to Parisi! Ntahawe' hinu'a to kedi' hewa tarangkada' pai' kula' pai' hinu'a ntani' -na nipopepue' hampobagiahampulu' hi Alata'ala. Hiaa' parenta to bohe, hewa po'ingku to monoa' hi doo-ni pai' ahi' hi Pue' Ala, uma nisaile'. Kakoo-kono-na, ke parenta to bohe toe-hanale to kana nituku' -e, pai' neo' wo'o nilipo' mpotuku' parenta to kedi'.
42 But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and the love of God. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
43"Silaka-koi to Parisi! Apa' goe' -koi mohura hi pohuraa karabilaa' hi tomi posampayaa, pai' goe' -koi ane tauna hi wiwi' karajaa motingkua' mpotabe-koi.
43 Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues, and the greetings in the marketplaces.
44 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like hidden graves, and the men who walk over them don’t know it.”
45Hadua guru agama Yahudi mpo'uli' -ki Yesus: "Guru, hante lolita-nu tetu, kai' wo'o to nusalai'!"
45One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying this you insult us also.”
46Mehono' Yesus: "Silaka wo'o-dakoi guru agama! Apa' nipopokoloi ntodea hante parenta pai' ada to motomo. Hiaa' uma-koi dota mpotulungi-ra ngkolo kinolo toe. Nau' hangkaju karawe-ni uma nihuko-raka.
46He said, “Woe to you lawyers also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
47Silaka-koi! Nipenasa-damo mpakalompe' daeo' -ra nabi to owi, hiaa' ntu'a-ni moto-mi to mpatehi nabi toera.
47 Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48Hante pobabehi-ni tetu, nipangaku' moto-mi kanipokono-na kehi ntu'a-ni tetu. Hira' mpatehi nabi to owi, pai' koi' mpakalompe' daeo' -ra.
48 So you testify and consent to the works of your fathers. For they killed them, and you build their tombs.
49Aga monoto lia patuju-na Alata'ala, na'uli' hewa toi: `Kupahawa' mpai' nabi-ku pai' suro-ku hilou hi tauna toera. Hantongo' -ra mpai' rapatehi, hantongo' -ra rasesa'.'
49 Therefore also the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will kill and persecute,
50Ka'omea-na mpai', koi' to tuwu' tempo toi rahuku' sabana hawe'ea nabi to rapatehi ngkai lomo' kajadi' dunia',
50 that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
51ntepu'u ngkai karapatehi-na Habel owi, rata-rata hi karapatehi-na nabi Zakharia, to rapatehi hi berewe Tomi Alata'ala hi olo' meja' pontunua pepue' pai' tomi to moroli'. Wae mpu'u-di! Koi' to tuwu' tempo toi bate rahuku' sabana hawe'ea kasalaa' totu'a-ni toe.
51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary.’ Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.
52"Silaka-koi guru agama! Kakoo-kono-na, ke koi' -di to mpotudui' ntodea ohea bona mpo'inca Alata'ala. Ntaa' koi' moto uma dota mpotuku' ohea toe, pai' nilawa' lau wo'o-di tauna to doko' mpotuku' -e."
52 Woe to you lawyers! For you took away the key of knowledge. You didn’t enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered.”
53Malai-imi Yesus ngkai ree. Pai' ntepu'u tempo toe, gigi mpu'u-mi nono-ra guru agama pai' to Parisi. Toe pai' rapemai-mai-i hante wori' nyala pompekunea' -ra,
53As he said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be terribly angry, and to draw many things out of him;
54pai' ralelemata ncuu-i, mpali' kasalaa' hi pololita-na.
54lying in wait for him, and seeking to catch him in something he might say, that they might accuse him.
