1Yesus mpololitai ana'guru-na, na'uli': "Bate ria to mpopanawu' tauna alaa-ra mojeko'. Aga silaka-ra tauna to mepanawu' toera!
1He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
2Agina lau-pi hameha' watu po'ahaa' ratoe hi wuroko' -ra, pai' -ra ratene' hi rala tahi', ngkai mpopanawu' -ra nau' hadua tauna to hangkedi' pepangala' -na duu' -na mpobabehi jeko'.
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3Toe pai' kana mo'inga' -inga' -ta! "Ane ompi' -ta mpobabehi to sala' hi kita', tudui' -i. Ane soho' -pi nono-na, ampungi-i.
3 Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.
4Nau' pitu ngkani rala-na ha'eo-i masala' hi kita', pai' butu ngkani-na tumai-i merapi' ampu, ampungi-i-hawo."
4 If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
5Ra'uli' suro Pue' Yesus mpo'uli' -ki: "Pue', pakaroho-kaka-kaiwo pepangala' -kai!"
5The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
6Na'uli' Pue' Yesus: "Ane rii-ria-mi pepangala' -ni nau' hangkutuno' -wadi, ma'ala ni'uli' -ki kaju to bohe tohe'i: `Mowuka-moko ngkai rei, mentoli-ko ree mai hi rala tahi'!' bate mentoli mpu'u-i ntuku' hawa' -ni.
6The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7"Rapa' -na ria batua-ta to molia' ba to mpodoo porewua. Ane nculii' -i ngkai pehompoa-na, napa to ta'uli' -ki? Ba ta'uli' wae: `Sahu tumai ngkoni''?
7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’
8Uma-hawo. Tantu ta'uli' -ki hewa tohe'i: `Porodo-mi pongkoni' -ku! Moheai-ko to uma babo'. Peka'au-a bula-ku nginu pai' ngkoni'. Oti-a-damo ngkoni', pai' lako' ngkoni' -dako-kowo.'
8 and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
9Uma-hawo mingki' ta'uli' tarima kasi hi batua-ta, apa' muntu' mpotuku' hawa' -i-wadi.
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
10Wae wo'o koi'. Ane oti-mi nituku' hawe'ea to napahawa' -kokoi Alata'ala, uli' -mi-hana: `Kai' -kaiwo-le, batua biasa-wadi-ka-kaiwo. To kibabehi-le, muntu' to rapahawa' -kakai.'"
10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
11Rala pomakoa' -na hilou hi Yerusalem, Yesus ntara hi sipa' tana' to Samaria pai' to Galilea.
11It happened as he was on his way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.
12Kamesua' -na hi rala ngata, rata-mi hampulu' topohaki' poko' mpohirua' -ki. Ngkai molaa-ra-wadi mekio',
12As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.
13ra'uli': "Yesus! Guru! Poka'ahi' -ka-kaiwo!"
13They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14Kanahilo-ra Yesus, na'uli' -miraka: "Hilou-mokoi mpopehuwu woto-ni hi imam." Hilou mpu'u-ramo. Bula-ra momako', mo'uri' -ramo.
14When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went, they were cleansed.
15Kanahilo-na to hadua mo'uri' -imi, kanculii' -nami hilou hi Yesus, mpo'une' -une' Alata'ala napesukui.
15One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
16Karata-na hi Yesus, motingkua' -imi mpo'uli' tarima kasi. Hi'a toei to Samaria.
16He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
17Na'uli' Yesus: "Ha uma hampulu' to kupaka'uri' -e? Hiapa-ramo to sio?
17Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18Beiwa pai' muntu' hadua toei-wadi to nculii' mpo'uli' tarima kasi hi Alata'ala-e? Hiaa' bela-i he'e to Yahudi!"
18 Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?”
19Ngkai ree, na'uli' wo'o-mi mpo'uli' -ki tauna toei: "Mokore-moko, pai' -ko hilou-mi. Mo'uri' -moko sabana pepangala' -nu hi Aku'."
19Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”
20Ba hangkuja dua to Parisi mpekune' Yesus, nto'uma Alata'ala tumai jadi' Magau' hi dunia'. Na'uli' Yesus: "Kamagaua' Alata'ala-le uma ntepu'u hante tanda-tanda to kahiloa.
20Being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The Kingdom of God doesn’t come with observation;
21Uma mpai' ria to mpo'uli': `Hilo, ohe'i-mi Kamagaua' -na Alata'ala,' ba `Etu-mi mai Kamagaua' Alata'ala,' apa' Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi laintongo' -ni."
21 neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.”
22Oti toe, Yesus mpololitai ana'guru-na. Na'uli': "Rata mpai' tempo-na, doko' lia-koi mpohilo-a nau' kampa' ha'eo, aga uma-apa nihiloi.
22He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
23Nto'u toe mpai', ria to mpo'uli' -kokoi: `Magau' Topetolo' oe-imi ria!' Ba ria to mpo'uli': `Ohe'i-imi!' Aga neo' -koi hilou mpotuku' -ra!
23 They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,
24Apa' ane rata nculii' mpu'u-apa mpai', karata-ku incana hobo' hi dunia'. Hewa kila' mpohinii raoa ngkai wuntu-na hamali rata hi wuntu-na hamali, hewa toe wo'o mpai' hi eo karataa-ku, Aku' Ana' Manusia'.
24 for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.
25Aga lomo' -lomo' -na, kana rasesa' -a pai' rasapuaka tauna to tuwu' tempo toi.
25 But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26"Hewa to majadi' hi tempo nabi Nuh owi, hewa toe wo'o mpai' to jadi' hi eo karata-ku Aku' Ana' Manusia'.
26 As it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
27Hi tempo nabi Nuh, tauna ntora ngkoni', nginu, rapoponcamoko pai' mepoponcamoko, kawae-kawae-na duu' -na nabi Nuh mesua' hi rala sakaya bohe pai' ue mowo' mpopatehi-ra omea.
27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28Wae wo'o kalempe' tauna owi hi ngata Sodom nto'u Lot mo'oha' hi ria. Tauna ntora ngkoni', nginu, mobabalu', molia' pai' mpowangu tomi.
28 Likewise, even as it happened in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29Ntaa' palai-na Lot ngkai Sodom, hompo-mi apu pai' watu to morea' ngkai langi' mpopatehi-ra omea.
29 but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.
30Wae wo'o mpai' kalempe' -ra manusia' hi eo karata-ku nculii' hi dunia' mpopehuwu kabaraka' -ku.
30 It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
31"Hi eo toe mpai', sohi' metibo' -koi! Tauna to mohura hi parawa, neo' -pi leba' mesua' hi rala tomi mpo'ala' rewa-na. Wae wo'o tauna to hi bonea, neo' -pi leba' nculii' mpo'ala' napa-napa hi rala ngata.
31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
32Kiwoi-dile napa to jadi' hi tobine-na Lot-e!
32 Remember Lot’s wife!
33Hema to mpentaei konoa-na moto, uma-i mpai' mporatai katuwua' to lompe'. Aga hema to mpobahaka konoa-na sabana petuku' -na hi Aku', nau' napopate-ki, hi'a lau-mi mpai' to mporata katuwua' to lompe' duu' kahae-hae-na.
33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
34"Mpu'u ku'uli' -kokoi: Hi eo ponculia' -ku mpai', tauna rodua to more'eli turu ngkabengia, hadua ra'ala', to hadua rapalahii.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
35Rodua tobine to motongke' momanyu, hadua ra'ala', to hadua rapalahii. ((
35 There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.”
36Rodua tauna mo'ema' mobago hi bonea, hadua ra'ala', to hadua rapalahii.))"
36 Some Greek manuscripts add: “Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”
37Hudu lolita Yesus toe, ana'guru-na mpekune' -i, ra'uli': "Hiapa mpai' kajadia' tetu-e, Pue'?" Yesus mpotompoi' -ra hante walatu toi: "Ane ria anu mate, incana moto apa' wori' danci morumpu mpokoni'. Wae wo'o mpai' karata-ku nculii': uma-a tumai ngkawuni, incana moto mpai'."
37They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”
