¹Giô-suê đã già tuổi cao, Ðức Giê-hô-va bèn phán cùng người rằng: Ngươi đã già tuổi đã cao, phần xứ phải đánh lấy hãy còn nhiều lắm.

¹And Joshua is old, entering into days, and Jehovah saith unto him, `Thou hast become aged, thou hast entered into days; as to the land, very much hath been left to possess.

²Xứ còn lại là đây: hết thảy miền của dân Phi-li-tin, và cả địa phận dân Ghê-su-rít;

²`This [is] the land that is left; all the circuits of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

³từ sông Si-cô đối ngang xứ Ê-díp-tô, cho đến giới hạn Éc-rôn về phía bắc, vốn kể là miền Ca-na-an, thuộc về năm vua Phi-li-tin, là vua Ga-xam vua Ách-đốt, vua Ách-ca-lôn, vua Gát, vua Éc-rôn và vua dân A-vim;

³from Sihor which [is] on the front of Egypt, and unto the border of Ekron northward, to the Canaanite it is reckoned, five princes of the Philistines, the Gazathite, and the Ashdothite, the Eshkalonite, the Gittite, and the Ekronite, also the Avim.

⁴lại về phía nam, cả xứ Ca-na-an và Mê-a-ra, vốn thuộc về dân Si-đôn, cho đến A-phéc, cho đến giới hạn dân A-mô-rít;

⁴`From the south, all the land of the Canaanite, and Mearah, which [is] to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, unto the border of the Amorite;

⁵còn luôn xứ dân Ghi-bê-lít, và cả Li-ban về phía mặt trời mọc, từ Ba-anh-Gát ở dưới chơn núi Hẹt-môn, cho đến nơi vào ranh Ha-mát;

⁵and the land of the Giblite, and all Lebanon, at the sun-rising, from Baal-Gad under mount Hermon, unto the going in to Hamath:

⁶lại còn dân ở trên núi, từ Li-ban cho đến Mít-rê-phốt-Ma-im, tức là các dân Si-đôn. Ấy chính ta sẽ đuổi chúng nó khỏi trước mặt dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. Song ngươi hãy bắt thăm chia xứ này cho Y-sơ-ra-ên làm sản nghiệp, y như ta đã truyền cho ngươi.

⁶all the inhabitants of the hill-country, from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-Maim, all the Sidonians: I — I dispossess them before the sons of Israel; only, cause it to fall to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

⁷Vậy bây giờ, hãy chia xứ này cho chín chi phái, và phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se.

⁷`And now, apportion this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh,` —

⁸Người Ru-bên, người Gát, và phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se đã lãnh bởi Môi-se phần sản nghiệp mình ở bên kia sông Giô-đanh về phía đông, y như Môi-se, tôi tớ Ðức Giê-hô-va, đã phát cho chúng nó;

⁸with it the Reubenite, and the Gadite, have received their inheritance, which Moses hath given to them beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses servant of Jehovah hath given to them;

⁹tức là xứ từ A-rô -e ở trên mé khe Aït-nôn và thành ở giữa trũng, cùng cả xứ đồng bằng tự Mê-đê-ba chí Ði-bôn;

⁹from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the brook Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dihon,

¹⁰và hết thảy những thành của Si-hôn, vua A-mô-rít, trị vì tại Hết-bôn, cho đến giới hạn dân Am-môn;

¹⁰and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the Bene-Ammon,

¹¹lại xứ Ga-la-át cùng địa phận dân Ghê-su-rít và dân Ma-ca-thít, khắp núi Hẹt-môn và toàn Ba-san cho đến Sanh-ca;

¹¹and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurite, and of the Maachathite, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;

¹²cũng được toàn nước vua Oùc trong Ba-san, vốn trị vì tại Ách-ta-rốt và Ết-ri -i; người là kẻ chót trong dân Rê-pha-im còn sót lại. Môi-se đánh bại và đuổi chúng nó đi.

¹²all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he was left of the remnant of the Rephaim, and Moses doth smite them, and dispossess them;

¹³Nhưng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên không đuổi đi dân Ghê-su-rít và dân Ma-ca-thít. Ấy vậy, dân Ghê-su-rít và dân Ma-ca-thít còn ở giữa dân Y-sơ-ra-ên cho đến ngày nay.

¹³and the sons of Israel dispossessed not the Geshurite, and the Maachathite; and Geshur and Maachath dwell in the midst of Israel unto this day.

¹⁴Song Môi-se không phát phần sản nghiệp cho chi phái Lê-vi: những của lễ dâng cho Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, ấy là phần sản nghiệp của chi phái đó, y như Ngài đã phán cùng Môi-se.

¹⁴Only, to the tribe of Levi he hath not given an inheritance; fire-offerings of Jehovah, God of Israel, is its inheritance, as He hath spoken to it.

¹⁵Vậy, Môi-se có phát một phần cho chi phái Ru-bên tùy theo họ hàng của chúng.

¹⁵And Moses giveth to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, for their families;

¹⁶Ðịa phận chi phái Ru-bên chạy từ A-rô -e trên mé khe Aït-nôn, và từ thành ở giữa trũng, cùng toàn đồng bằng gần Mê-đê-ba;

¹⁶and the border is to them from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the brook Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba,

¹⁷Hết-bôn và các thành nó ở nơi đồng bằng là Ði-bôn, Ba-mốt-Ba-anh, Bết-Ba-anh-Mê-ôn,

¹⁷Heshbon, and all its cities which [are] in the plain, Dibon, and Bamoth-Baal, and Beth-Baal-Meon,

¹⁸Gia-hát, Kê-đê-mốt, Mê-phát,

¹⁸and Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

¹⁹Ki-ri-a-ta-im, Síp-ma, Xê-rết-Ha-sa-cha ở trên núi của trũng,

¹⁹and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-Shahar, in the mount of the valley,

²⁰Bết-Phê -o, các triền núi Phích-ga, Bết-Giê-si-mốt,

²⁰and Beth-Peor, and the springs of Pisgah, and Beth-Jeshimoth,

²¹các thành của xứ đồng bằng, toàn nước Si-hôn, vua dân A-mô-rít, vốn cai trị tại Hết-bôn, mà Môi-se đã đánh bại, với quan trưởng Ma-đi-an, là Ê-vi, Rê-kem, Xu-rơ, và Rê-ba, tức các quan trưởng làm chư hầu Si-hôn, và ở trong xứ.

²¹and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote, with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, princes of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.

²²Trong những người mà dân Y-sơ-ra-ên dùng gươm giết, thì có thuật sĩ Ba-la-am, con trai của Bê-ô.

²²And Balaam, son of Beor, the diviner, have the sons of Israel slain with the sword, among their wounded ones.

²³Ðịa phận người Ru-bên có sông Giô-đanh làm giới hạn. Ðó là sản nghiệp của người Ru-bên, tùy theo những họ hàng, thành ấp, và làng xóm của họ.

²³And the border of the sons of Reuben is the Jordan, and [its] border; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Reuben, for their families, the cities and their villages.

²⁴Môi-se cũng có phát một phần cho chi phái Gát, tùy theo họ hàng của chúng.

²⁴And Moses giveth to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad, for their families;

²⁵Ðịa phận của chi phái Gát là Gia-ê-xe, các thành Ga-la-át, phân nửa xứ dân Am-môn, cho đến A-rô -e đối ngang Ráp-ba;

²⁵and the border is to them Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and the half of the land of the Bene-Ammon, unto Aroer which [is] on the front of Rabbah,

²⁶và từ Hết-bôn cho đến Ra-mát-Mít-bê, cùng Bê-tô-nim; đoạn từ Ma-ha-na-im cho đến bờ cõi Ðê-bia.

²⁶and from Heshbon unto Ramath-Mispeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir,

²⁷Còn trong trũng thì Bết-Ha-ram, Bết-Nim-ra, Su-cốt, và Xa-phôn, tức là phần còn lại của nước Si-hôn, vua miền Giô-đanh cho đến cuối biển Ki-nê-rết tại bên kia sông Giô-đanh về phía đông.

²⁷and in the valley, Beth-Aram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and [its] border, unto the extremity of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan, eastward.

²⁸Ðó là sản nghiệp của người Gát, tùy theo những họ hàng, thành ấp, và làng xóm của họ.

²⁸This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Gad, for their families, the cities and their villages.

²⁹Môi-se cũng có phát một phần cho phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se, tùy theo họ hàng của chúng, là phần vẫn còn thuộc về phân nửa chi phái Ma-na-se.

²⁹And Moses giveth to the half of the tribe of Manasseh; and it is to the half of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, for their families.

³⁰Ðịa phận của họ là từ Ma-ha-na-im, toàn Ba-san, cả nước Oùc, vua Ba-san, và các thôn Giai-rơ trong Ba-san, có sáu mươi thành.

³⁰And their border is from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the small towns of Jair, which [are] in Bashan, sixty cities;

³¹Phân nửa xứ Ga-la-át, Ách-ta-rốt, và Ết-ri -i, là hai thành về nước Oùc tại Ba-san, đã phát cho phân nửa con cháu Ma-ki, chít của Ma-na-se, tùy theo họ hàng của chúng.

³¹and the half of Gilead, and Ashteroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [are] to the sons of Machir, son of Manasseh, to the half of the sons of Machir, for their families.

³²Ðó là các sản nghiệp mà Môi-se phân phát tại trong đồng bằng Mô-áp, ở bên kia sông Giô-đanh về phía đông, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô.

³²These [are] they whom Moses caused to inherit in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, [by] Jericho, eastward;

³³Song Môi-se không phát sản nghiệp cho chi phái Lê-vi, vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên là sản nghiệp của chi phái ấy, y như Ngài đã phán cùng họ vậy.

³³and to the tribe of Levi Moses gave not an inheritance; Jehovah, God of Israel, Himself [is] their inheritance, as He hath spoken to them.
