1The Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded:
1亚撒利雅的预言与劝勉 神的灵降在俄德的儿子亚撒利雅身上，
2and he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin! Yahweh is with you, while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
2亚撒利雅就出来迎接亚撒，对他说：“亚撒和犹大、便雅悯所有的人哪！请听我说。你们跟随耶和华，耶和华就和你们同在；你们寻求他，就必给你们寻见；你们离弃他，他必离弃你们。
3Now for a long time Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
3以色列人没有真神，没有教导他们的祭司，没有律法，已经很久了。
4But when in their distress they turned to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found by them.
4但他们在遭难的时候，回转归向耶和华以色列的 神，寻求他，他就给他们寻见。
5In those times there was no peace to him who went out, nor to him who came in; but great troubles were on all the inhabitants of the lands.
5那时，出入的人都没有平安，因为各国的居民都遭遇动乱。
6They were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God troubled them with all adversity.
6这国攻击那国，这城攻击那城，因为 神用各样灾难使他们纷乱。
7But you be strong, and don’t let your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.”
7但你们要坚强，不要胆怯，因为你们所行的，必有赏报。”
8When Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Yahweh, that was before the porch of Yahweh.
8亚撒的改革（王上15:13-15）亚撒听了这些话，和俄德的儿子亚撒利雅先知所说的预言以后，就勇敢起来，在犹大、便雅悯全地，以及以法莲山地夺取的各城，把可憎的偶像除去，又在耶和华殿的走廊前面，重新修造耶和华的祭坛。
9He gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who lived with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.
9他又召聚了犹大和便雅悯所有的人，以及在他们中间寄居的以法莲人、玛拿西人、西缅人。以色列人看见了耶和华亚撒的 神和他同在，就有很多人投奔亚撒。
10So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
10亚撒在位第十五年三月，他们聚集在耶路撒冷。
11They sacrificed to Yahweh in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred head of cattle and seven thousand sheep.
11那一天，他们从夺回来的战利品当中，把七百头牛，七千只羊，献给耶和华为祭，
12They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;
12他们也立约，要一心一意寻求耶和华他们列祖的 神。
13and that whoever would not seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
13不寻求耶和华以色列的 神的，无论男女老幼，都必处死。
14They swore to Yahweh with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
14他们就大声欢呼，吹起号角，向耶和华起誓。
15All Judah rejoiced at the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and Yahweh gave them rest all around.
15犹大众人都为了所起的誓快乐，因为他们一心起誓，尽意寻求耶和华，耶和华就给他们寻见，并且使他们四境安宁。
16Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
16亚撒王也废掉他的祖母玛迦太后的位，因为她曾给亚舍拉做了可憎的像；亚撒把她那可憎的像砍了下来，捣得粉碎，烧在汲沦溪旁。
17But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
17只是邱坛还没有从以色列中除掉，但亚撒的心一生都完全忠于耶和华。
18He brought into God’s house the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
18亚撒把他父亲所分别为圣，和他自己所分别为圣的金银和器皿，都送进 神的殿里。
19There was no more war to the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
19从那时，直到亚撒在位第三十五年，都没有战争。
