1Then Yahweh said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
1耶和华离弃犹大
2It shall happen, when they tell you, Where shall we go forth? Then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.
2如果他们问你：‘我们要去哪里？’你就告诉他们：‘耶和华这样说：该死亡的，就死亡；该被刀剑所杀的，就被刀剑所杀；该遭遇饥荒的，就遭遇饥荒；该被掳的，就被掳去！’
3I will appoint over them four kinds, says Yahweh: the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
3我要命定四种刑罚对付他们，就是刀剑杀戮，尸体被野狗拖走，被空中的飞鸟和地上的走兽吞吃与毁灭。”这是耶和华的宣告。
4I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
4“因犹大王希西家的儿子玛拿西在耶路撒冷的所作所为，我必使地上万国看见他们的遭遇就惊恐。”
5For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? or who will bemoan you? or who will turn aside to ask of your welfare?
5“耶路撒冷啊！谁会可怜你呢？谁会为你悲伤呢？谁会转身向你问安呢？
6You have rejected me, says Yahweh, you have gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against you, and destroyed you; I am weary with repenting.
6你离弃了我，你转身背着我；因此我要伸手攻击你，毁灭你，我不会再回心转意。”这是耶和华的宣告。
7I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I have bereaved them of children, I have destroyed my people; they didn’t return from their ways.
7“我在这地的城门口，用簸箕簸了我的子民，使他们丧掉儿女，使他们灭亡；他们仍不转离自己所行的路。
8Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas; I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday: I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.
8我使他们寡妇的数目比海沙还多；我使行毁灭的在午间临到我的子民，打击年轻人的母亲，使痛苦的惊恐忽然临到她们身上。
9She who has borne seven languishes; she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she has been disappointed and confounded: and their residue will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says Yahweh.
9那生过七个子女的母亲衰竭疲弱，几乎气绝；还在白昼，她的太阳已经西落，她必惭愧蒙羞。我必使他们余剩的人在敌人面前死于刀下。”这是耶和华的宣告。
10Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet everyone of them curses me.
10耶和华安慰且眷顾耶利米我母亲哪！我有祸了，因为你生了我，这个跟全地相争相斗的人。我从没有借钱给人，也没有向人借钱，可是人人都咒骂我。
11Yahweh said, Most certainly I will strengthen you for good; most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
11耶和华说：“我必为你的好处释放你；在遭遇祸患和灾难的时候，我必叫你的仇敌恳求你。
12Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and brass?
12谁可以折断铁，就是从北方来的铁和铜呢？
13Your substance and your treasures will I give for a spoil without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
13因你在四境之内所犯的一切罪，我必把你的财产和宝物，白白给敌人作掠物。
14I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which shall burn on you.
14我必使你在你不认识的地方，服事你的仇敌（有古抄本作“我必使你的仇敌过去，到你所不认识的地方”）；因为我的怒火燃烧起来，要烧灭你们。”
15Yahweh, you know; remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; don’t take me away in your longsuffering: know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.
15耶和华啊！你知道这一切；求你记念我，看顾我，替我向那些逼迫我的人报复。求你忍怒，不要取去我的性命；要知道，我为你的缘故受了侮辱。
16Your words were found, and I ate them; and your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.
16我一得到你的话，就把它们吃了；你的话成了我心中的欢喜快乐；耶和华万军的 神啊！因为我是称为你名下的人。
17I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand; for you have filled me with indignation.
17我没有坐在欢笑者的集会中一同欢乐；因为你的手在我身上，你使我满了忿怒，我就独自静坐。
18Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, as waters that fail?
18我的痛苦为什么长久不止呢？我的创伤为什么无法医治，不得痊愈呢？你对我真的像叫人失望、靠不住的溪流吗？
19Therefore thus says Yahweh, If you return, then will I bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take forth the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth: they shall return to you, but you shall not return to them.
19因此，耶和华这样说：“如果你回转，我必让你回来，你就可以侍立在我面前。如果你说宝贵的话，不说无价值的话，就必作我的口。他们要归向你，你却不要归向他们。
20I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; and they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says Yahweh.
20我要使你成为坚固的铜墙抵挡这人民，他们必攻击你，却不能胜过你；因为我与你同在，要拯救你，搭救你。”这是耶和华的宣告。
21I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.
21“我必搭救你脱离恶人的手，救赎你脱离强暴人的掌握（“掌握”原文作“手掌”）。”
