¹Now Pashhur, the son of Immer the priest, who was chief officer in the house of Yahweh, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.

¹耶利米预言犹大被掳

²Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of Yahweh.

²就殴打耶利米先知，把他枷锁在耶和华殿里，朝向便雅悯的上门内。

³It happened on the next day, that Pashhur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then Jeremiah said to him, Yahweh has not called your name Pashhur, but Magormissabib.

³次日，巴施户珥把耶利米从枷锁上解下来，耶利米就对他说：“耶和华不再称你的名为巴施户珥，却要称你为玛歌珥．米撒毕（“玛歌珥．米撒毕”意即“四围惊慌”）。

⁴For thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself, and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it; and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall kill them with the sword.

⁴因为耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我要使你自己和你所有的朋友都惊惶失措；他们必倒在他们仇敌的刀下，你也必亲眼看见。我要把全犹大交在巴比伦王手中；他要把他们掳到巴比伦去，或用刀击杀他们。

⁵Moreover I will give all the riches of this city, and all its gains, and all the precious things of it, yes, all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies; and they shall make them a prey, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.

⁵我要把这城的一切财物、一切劳碌得来的、一切珍宝和犹大列王的一切宝物，都交在他们仇敌的手中；仇敌要把这一切抢劫掠夺，带回巴比伦去。

⁶You, Pashhur, and all who dwell in your house shall go into captivity; and you shall come to Babylon, and there you shall die, and there you shall be buried, you, and all your friends, to whom you have prophesied falsely.

⁶巴施户珥啊！你和所有住在你家里的人，都要被掳去；你和你所有的朋友，就是你向他们说假预言的，都要到巴比伦去，死在那里，也葬在那里。’”

⁷Yahweh, you have persuaded me, and I was persuaded; you are stronger than I, and have prevailed: I am become a laughing-stock all the day, every one mocks me.

⁷因传　神的信息而受苦耶和华啊！你愚弄了我，我受了愚弄；你比我强大，你胜了我。我整天成了别人讥笑的对象，人人都嘲弄我。

⁸For as often as I speak, I cry out; I cry, Violence and destruction! because the word of Yahweh is made a reproach to me, and a derision, all the day.

⁸因为我每次发言，都大声呼叫；我呼喊，说：“有强暴和毁灭！”耶和华的话使我整天受人辱骂和讥讽。

⁹If I say, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with forbearing, and I can’t.

⁹如果我说：“我不再提起他，也不再奉他的名说话”，他的话就像火在我心中焚烧，被困在我的骨里；我不能再抑制，实在不能了。

¹⁰For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce, and we will denounce him, say all my familiar friends, those who watch for my fall; perhaps he will be persuaded, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.

¹⁰我听见许多人耳语：“玛歌珥．米撒毕！告发他，我们要告发他！”我所有的知己朋友都等着看我行差踏错，他们说：“希望他会上当，我们就可以胜过他，向他报复。”

¹¹But Yahweh is with me as an awesome mighty one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be utterly disappointed, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which shall never be forgotten.

¹¹但耶和华与我同在，像一个威武可畏的勇士，因此，逼迫我的都必跌倒，不能得胜。他们必大大蒙羞，因为他们失败了；这永远的耻辱是人不能忘记的。

¹²But, Yahweh of Armies, who tests the righteous, who sees the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance on them; for to you have I revealed my cause.

¹²万军之耶和华啊！你试验义人，察看人的心肠肺腑；求你让我看见你在他们身上施行的报复，因为我已经把我的案件向你陈明了。

¹³Sing to Yahweh, praise Yahweh; for he has delivered the soul of the needy from the hand of evildoers.

¹³你们要歌颂耶和华，赞美耶和华；因为他救了穷乏人的性命，脱离恶人的手。

¹⁴Cursed is the day in which I was born: don’t let the day in which my mother bore me be blessed.

¹⁴咒诅自己的生日愿我生的那一天受咒诅！愿我母亲生我的那一天不蒙祝福！

¹⁵Cursed is the man who brought news to my father, saying, A boy is born to you; making him very glad.

¹⁵那向我父亲报喜信：“你得了一个男孩”，叫我父亲十分高兴的，愿那人受咒诅！

¹⁶Let that man be as the cities which Yahweh overthrew, and didn’t repent: and let him hear a cry in the morning, and shouting at noontime;

¹⁶愿那人像耶和华所倾覆而不顾惜的城市，愿他早晨听见哀号，午间听见战争的吶喊。

¹⁷because he didn’t kill me from the womb; and so my mother would have been my grave, and her womb always great.

¹⁷因为他没有使我死于母腹，好使我的母亲成了我的坟墓，我永远留在母腹中。

¹⁸Why came I forth out of the womb to see labor and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?

¹⁸我为什么要出母胎，经历劳苦和忧伤，并且我的年日都消逝在羞辱之中呢？
